misery running through my veins

it threatened to rain most of yesterday. of course, it didn't until overnight. the problem with that being i was in complete misery the entire day. i figure if this is how my life is going to be with arthritis, i'll be killing myself in the next 10 years for sure.

the Yankees decided to take yesterday off. they lost 2-0 and only got 1 hit in the process. hopefully, they fucking decide to show up today. i read that their tragic number is 8 now. they can't lose more than 8 of the next 28 games if they want to go to the playoffs. the first thing that came to my mind when reading that was there's no fucking way that happens. i suppose time will tell.

Ohio State yesterday once again showed me why i quit gambling on college football. they were 16 point favorites and really struggled for most of the game. but then a big 3rd quarter and the defense finally started to do something and sure enough, Ohio State wins 34-17. thank god i learned those lessons in my 20's. i can't afford to be learning them now.

the rest of my day and night was spent watching soccer and college football. i managed to still be awake when ROH came on last night. thank god i was. it was an excellent episode. i highly recommend it.

as for tonight, i believe all the usual shows are on. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, and Masters of Sex.

i wrote two poems last night before i went to bed. i typed those up this morning after breakfast. i like both of them. that should give me enough for the next round of submissions. i might actually do that tomorrow. all depends on how much misery i am in today.

i just had to go race to the bathroom. looks like breakfast isn't sitting well with me today. just fucking lovely. and people wonder why i hate holiday weekends.

after i get done with this i have to pick up the trash and go out in the rain and feed the cats. that'll be fun.

by tomorrow morning, i'll know what two of my fantasy football teams will look like. i have no clue if i'm going to have a third team this year. much like what normally happens to me, whenever i win a league after a few years, that league just happens to not exist ever again. i won the league on NFL.com last year with a bunch of other poets and publishers and sure enough, i haven't heard shit about the league this year. apparently, my happiness is only allowed to be temporary.

that's all for me today. with this glorious start to today, you can just imagine what the blog is going to be like tomorrow. thanks to everyone for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and the frustration continues...

i slept about 30 minutes longer than i really wanted to this morning. perhaps, that was a sign from god. now i have a choice. do i look at the Manchester United game this morning (0-0) as they got another point? or, do i look at it as they couldn't beat a Burnley side that fucking sucks? or, do i chalk this up to more frustration as the LvG system is still not fully in place? i haven't quite decided. i'm more pissed than cautious. i did think Di Maria looked good at times. of course, he and Mata both went off with possible injuries. what else is new. i'm really disappointed that they are clueless in the final 1/3 of the pitch. oh well, there goes that chance at a victory beer.

the Yankees won last night, 6-3. good thing i was patient last night. they waited until late to actually do something against a pitcher they own. they play again this afternoon. i have no clue how much of the game i will watch. sort of depends on what Ohio State is doing.

Ohio State plays Navy at noon. i have no clue what to expect from Ohio State now that their best player is going to miss this season. hopefully they win. they are favored by 16. i think it will probably be closer than that.

there's plenty of other college football games i'll be flipping between today and tonight. other than that, maybe some basketball and some other soccer matches, if i'm amazingly still awake late tonight, i plan on watching the new episode of ROH.

as for now, as soon as i get this done, i need to feed the cats and get some frustration out. good times.

i'll most likely be on here tomorrow morning before the Yankees play again. if the rest of my day goes well, i'll be in a much better mood tomorrow. if not, i won't blame you if you just pass on a day of this drivel.

hope this finds everyone breathing. thank you for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

another holiday weekend

had a crazy night last night with my shitty finances, so i decided to just lay low today and do close to nothing. little did i know, i should have just stayed in bed or swallowed a shotgun.

i'm pretty low on gas and since they normally raise prices through the roof on holiday weekends, i figured it would make more financial sense if i just stayed home today. i tried to make a little money on surveys, to no avail. i do have some checks coming. hopefully they come EARLY next month. had to have mom make some payments for me as i'm pretty sure those checks aren't in the mail today. i'll know for sure whenever she gets home.

i watched a little college football last night. was shocked at what Texas A&M did. i guess that offense won't miss Johnny Football after all. i did like the new SEC Network. that will take some getting used to.

Big Brother went as expected last night. they finally had an endurance HOH competition last night. if you've been following the show, you can imagine who won that. Sunday will be another boring episode.

Married was really good last night. You're the Worst was great and filthy last night. i really love that show.

had a long day today. sometimes i get to talking to myself about my past, about my future, etc., and it tends to always get me in a pretty dark place. that always makes it interesting when one of my friends needs my counseling. there's nothing worse than two stubborn people arguing about the same point they agree on... it's this slow realization that my parents did absolutely nothing when i told them i was molested by my female cousin that is crushing me. i never wanted to believe it. i never wanted to think i wasn't worth their love or their effort to defend me. but, that's the reality i'm stuck in. when you look back and know that your chance to have a "normal" life stopped at age 4, it gets a little heartbreaking. but, i suppose i truly understand why i write. it's much easier than killing people.

the Yankees play tonight in Toronto. this is a MUST sweep series. hopefully they start that process tonight.

other than that tonight, i'm hoping to get to bed early as Manchester United plays in the morning. i guess i will do my blog after that as Ohio State and the Yankees play tomorrow afternoon. here's hoping United wins or that blog is going to be a fucking vicious rant.

that's enough soul baring for today. thank you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises, and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease my enemies... enjoy the holiday weekend.

sometimes it's better off to be...

i had a conversation with the muse last night. first time we had spoke since she moved. eventually, as all our conversations devolve into when she's dead tired, she got on her soapbox that i should quit this writing dream and get a job like the rest of the world. this always makes me laugh, as this has been a part of her conversation with me for over a decade now. i'm sure she loves me and has my best interest at heart, but, as a stubborn person herself, she surely must understand that i'm way too invested in this dream to piss it away now. i look at it this way. this writing dream has me on the phone with a beautiful woman at 3 in the morning, laughing, as i picture her naked eating mac and cheese. like i would trade that for a 9 to 5 or another trip back into the factory. yes, i'm poor. yes, i can't afford hardly anything i want. but i have never let a little thing called money get in the way of me living my life. there comes the rub. i'm not living the life they want me to live. the joy of being an individual is understanding that sometimes it's better off to be alone. all alone. that makes it much easier to decipher the noise of the agenda of others.

now, i step off of my soapbox...

the Yankees exploded last night in the 3rd inning, getting 9 straight hits. that was truly a holy shit thing to watch. they went on to win 8-4. they play again this afternoon. hopefully they can keep the hits coming and win again.

Big Brother last night was boring, which is truly what i expected once they got rid of Zach. tonight, Donny will be evicted and the show will get even more boring.

Brew Dogs was excellent last night. the more i watch shit about home brewing, the more i am considering making my own alcohol.

The Bridge last night was spectacular. it had a little of everything last night. plus, another great ending. i can't wait until next week.

as for tonight, other than Big Brother, i'll be bouncing between some college football games, Married and You're the Worst on FX, and god knows what else.

i also need to get some shit done around the house today. some sweeping and other cleaning mostly. mom went to work today. so, mostly it will be about managing my time between watching porn and getting shit done.

that's all for me. thanks again for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

an afternoon out and about

when mom said she wanted to go to lunch and then the store today, i figured that gave me a reason to take a shower. figured if i was going to fuck with my stress level and expose myself to humanity, i may as well be clean. we went to O'Charley's for lunch. i hadn't been there for years. we had some great food and a great waitress. if i had some more confidence and was a smooth fucker, i would have totally flirted with her when she brought me my second beer. unfortunately, it would have taken a few more of them and some shots to get me to the shit talking stage. we had to hit up the grocery store for the slew of over the counter shit we take. at least we had coupons for all of it. saw a few stunning women at the store. there will definitely be some poems about them here soon. and the children they were with. i just love how i can scare the shit out of a kid just by walking by. that's a fun game to play when i'm getting annoyed or bored in the store. not even sure my mother knows i'm playing it. yes, i do know i'm crazy.

the Yankees lost last night 5-2. so much for that winning streak. hopefully they start another one tonight. they can't afford any losing streaks if they want to make the playoffs.

the season finale of Tyrant was excellent last night. a nice swerve at the end that caught me off guard. hopefully, there will be a second season for the show. when a coup goes bad and the show ends with the brother saying he will sentence the other brother to death... i kind of need to know what happens next.

Hard Knocks was the usual fake toughness from the Falcons. i had a few good laughs during the show.

as for tonight, i'll be watching Big Brother, the season finale of Brew Dogs, and The Bridge. hopefully, between the shows and some baseball, i'll have a good evening.

hard to believe college football starts tomorrow night. where the fuck did the summer go?

i heard back from a publisher on some poems i sent over a year ago. ah, i just love email and how shit gets lost sometimes. needless to say i will be sending him some work in my next batch of submissions. that will happen in a week or so i think.

that's all for me today. thank you for allowing me few minutes to waste your precious time.

a wasted afternoon

after watching Manchester United lose today, 4-0, to a team they have no business losing to...i didn't do anything drastic. nothing was broken. but, this is one of those humbling defeats. hopefully the team, the coaches, the management, and the fans understand how far they have fallen. this loss today was akin to the Yankees losing to a AA team. and this basically shits all over the news of them signing Angel Di Maria today. not sure how he's going to help the shitty midfield or defense, but he should be fun to watch on the left wing. all i really hope is they get a fucking win this weekend and turn the page. now that they are out of the Capital One Cup, that's one less trophy to think about this season. perhaps LvG understands now how few great players he actually has on the squad. the kids today clearly showed they aren't ready for the weight of the jersey and the few veterans that played today clearly showed it is time to move on from them.

enough rambling, the more i type the more i get depressed about it.

the Yankees are going for their sixth straight win tonight in Detroit. they are just 3 games out of a playoff spot. this week will go a long way to see if they actually can make a miracle run to the playoffs.

i'm looking forward to the season finale of Tyrant tonight. i'm not sure if they have already been picked up for season two or not. if they have, i'm totally expecting a cliffhanger tonight.

also tonight i'll be watching Hard Knocks on HBO. hopefully more laughs as i watch those sorry ass Falcons.

the weather here lately has been cruel. 90's with humidity around 90%. just fucking toxic weather. it may rain tonight. hopefully it does just to break this fucking heat.

i'll have to get back in the swing of things tomorrow. Wednesday is my fantasy sports day; where i make all my picks and player selections for the weekend. hard to believe college football is getting ready to start back up.

and i'll be honest, the reason i follow so many teams is simply because it gives me more chances to drink.

that's all for me today. you'll notice a new song in the music section today. came across it when i was going into town to get the mail. i hadn't heard anything from Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash for awhile. this song just fit the mood for today. so it's a country outlaw fuck off kind of music day.

hope this finds everyone well. thanks for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

Frontier Communications sucks (insert the body part of your choice here)

this post would have gone up hours ago but for some unknown fucking reason, the internet was down for over 7 hours today. and it has been going in and out tonight. just fucking lovely. my shitty, and i do mean shitty, internet service company has no fucking clue why it was out. they were kind enough to give us back $25, which i'm sure they will somehow forget to show on the next bill. if anyone ever wonders why i would love to leave this state forever, today was a shining example.

so, let's begin back on Sunday...

Manchester United played to a 1-1 draw. better than a loss i suppose, but not by much. they play again on Tuesday in the Capital One Cup. hopefully, they get a damn win. and i do hope they announce some desperately needed signings.

the Yankees won a huge game on Sunday, getting a walk off pinch hit home run in the bottom of the 10th to win 7-4. and then tonight they won 8-1 in Kansas City. that's five straight wins. hopefully they can continue the hot streak in Detroit tomorrow night.

Big Brother was good Sunday night. Ray Donovan was really good. The Strain was insanely brilliant as usual. Masters of Sex was pretty good. i did catch bits and pieces of the video music awards. i did like the one write up that said the awards were basically a two hour warm up for a Beyonce concert.

i did happen to write 3 poems last night. i typed those up today while the internet was out. i like them. hopefully they will get published in my next batch of submissions.

i got my packages from amazon.com today. of course, i only got 1 of them. mom was in a pissed off mood and went to the post office to get the other one. they were scanned in on Saturday afternoon, so i'm not really sure why they didn't have both in the box. or at the very least, a notice that one of them was in the back. the dumb fuck told my mother that they just would have put it in the box on Tuesday. and people wonder why the post office is hated. like someone buys something online and doesn't give a shit when they get it. another fucking reason to leave.

i watched a ton of soccer while not checking my emails. and since none of the teams playing were teams i gave a shit about, i caught up on some napping.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good tonight. i was in and out of the show all night with the baseball game and the Emmy Awards. the night was mostly about a more aggressive John Cena. thankfully, i had other shit to watch during that boring shit.

i will hopefully be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays. i have to get to the store to pick up my medicine refills, so it may be after that.

oh, i heard from the dream woman finally. at least i know she's still alive.

that's all for me. thank you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i awoke to the sound of beeping

it's always a little unsettling when you wake up to the sound of a fire alarm beeping. in the haze of only having 3 hours of sleep, you start to look for smoke. and then your dumb ass realizes you should be looking for a battery. and just my luck, we don't have any 9 volt batteries. what a lovely way to start my Sunday.

Manchester United plays later this morning. i'm hoping they play better than last week, but given the amount of injuries they have, i'm bracing for another loss. the final week of the silly season is upon us. i've seen reports of 3 different players that will be coming to United by the end of this week. it's another case of i'll believe it when i see them wearing the jersey.

the Yankees won yesterday 5-3. first time they have scored more than 4 runs in 2 weeks. they go for the sweep today. sadly, today starts the run against some great starting pitching. so, they will have to earn these wins. the Joe Torre ceremony was very nice. there's only one single number left to be retired. that will happen by the end of the season when Jeter retires.

ROH last night was excellent. first time i had seen a tv time limit draw in quite some time. hopefully ACH and Jay Lethal will continue to battle it out for the tv title. that's a match i would love to see happen again.

it should be another busy night of television for me this evening. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, and Masters of Sex are on the docket. i suppose i will try to catch some of the video music awards on MTV. not that i'm really looking forward to them. it's more of a way to pass the time between shows. i guess i'm finally old.

after i get done with this, i want to try to get the trash picked up and the animals fed before Manchester United comes on. i got the toilets out of the way yesterday.

had a long conversation with my friend in California yesterday. hopefully today finds her in a better place.

been thinking of the dream woman here lately. not exactly sure that not talking to someone for 9 days is the best way to start a potential relationship, but what do i know. hopefully everything is ok with her.

that's all for me for now. my breakfast of pancakes seems to be settling nicely into me, so now it's time for the trash. hope the second half of your weekend is better than the first. thank you for allowing me the chance to waste some of your precious time.

early one morning...

i can tell i'm in full Premier League mode now when i'm up early on a Saturday morning and my team isn't even playing. especially when i didn't get to bed until 3 in the morning. yes, i agree, it's a disease.

the Yankees were down 3-0 before there was an out recorded last night. i figured, fuck, here we go again. amazingly, the White Sox didn't score for the rest of the game. the Yankees won in the bottom of the ninth, 4-3. that was a nice victory beer. today is Joe Torre day at the stadium. they are retiring his number 6 and giving him a plaque in monument park. there should be plenty of former players back for today. another day in the forest of nostalgia. hopefully they can get another win after the ceremony.

the grocery store was a bit of an odyssey yesterday. i loved the cashier's reaction when mom put down $40 worth of coupons. fucking priceless. the people watching was ok. saw a few faces that i could perhaps make into something. not sure. i'm guessing in a week or so something will come out of this brain.

i nearly forgot The Knick was on last night. thankfully, i remembered before i went to bed. glad i did. another great episode. i highly recommend this show.

the guy who farms out here came over last night. had to pay the bill for the spring planting and whatnot. thankfully, the rain didn't damage any of the crops. so, we're looking like we might have a record harvest this year.

not sure what i'm going to watch this evening other than the new ROH episode. perhaps i'll do a little writing or maybe sit down and actually put the logo for this blog that i have in my head down on paper. just imagine what i could do if i actually knew how to do this shit on a computer.

that's pretty much all for me. i will be back on here tomorrow morning before Manchester United plays. hope everyone is having a great start to their weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

what happens when it doesn't stop raining...

i went to bed last night as a wicked light show was going on outside. when i woke up this morning, some 2 inches of rain later, i could tell there was no end in sight. maybe a lull or two, but mother nature is now trying to make up for lost time. great. we're under a flash flood watch until tonight. we've got a few places on the farm that like to flood, sadly most of them being where there are soybeans are right now. hopefully we don't have much damage from that.

shockingly, our cellar is mostly dry. i had to go change all the water filters this afternoon. of course, if i would have thought about it, i would have done it before all the rain came.

the Yankees got a win yesterday, 3-0. amazing what some great pitching can do for a team. sadly, the offense still stinks as those 3 runs came in 1 inning. the game was over in a little over 2 hours. hopefully they can get a win tonight against the White Sox and start a winning streak.

Big Brother went as i expected last night. sadly, Zach didn't make it back into the house, Nicole did. i'm not happy with who won the HOH last night. oh well, as long as Frankie doesn't win it all, i'll be happy.

Married was really good last night. You're the Worst had me howling as well. and in commercials, i flipped over to The Simpsons marathon on FXX.

after i get done with this i get to go to the grocery store with my mother. mostly, it becomes a mission of making sure she doesn't have an accident and my favorite pastime, people watching. always a good thing for a poet to do.

other than some baseball tonight, i imagine i'll flip over to some preseason football and probably whatever is on the Food Network. of course, if the storms come back for another round tonight, i might not be watching anything.

that's pretty much all for me today. hope everyone has a great weekend. thanks for allowing me the chance to waste your precious time.

response from Hobo Camp Review

i heard back from James at Hobo Camp Review on my poetry submission from a week ago. my poem "a frenzy" has been accepted for publication. it should appear in the autumn issue.

bring on the pain

when i hear rain on the metal roof of the house when i'm falling asleep, i know i'm going to at least get a few hours. when i hear it when i first wake up in the morning, i know a day of misery is ahead of me. but, bring on the pain as the crops are desperate for a good drink. so far, it's been a slow drizzle with a little thunder. as long as it doesn't get crazy, this is exactly what the crops need today.

the Yankees fell behind last night, took the lead, and then, yes, you guessed it, pissed away another game against Houston, 5-2. this team plays down to its competition and has paid for it all season long. they play early this afternoon. hopefully the game puts me to sleep or the satellite feed goes out.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. sadly, it looks like Zach is going to get the boot tonight. but, hopefully in the latest twist, he comes back into the house right after eviction. if not, all i hope is that somehow that fucking sociopath Frankie doesn't win.

Brew Dogs was really good last night. they made a beer in New Orleans. i really need to get to that town at some point in my life. although, chances are, i won't leave.

The Bridge was spectacular last night. this season isn't as good as the first one was but it is as close as you can get to being as good. i love the small world feel as the characters are getting closer and closer to being intertwined. i can't wait for next week.

also tonight, i'll be watching Married and You're The Worst on FX.

the New York Rangers surprised me yesterday by winning the Kevin Hayes sweepstakes. he should fit in quite nicely with how AV wants the guys to play.

i figure i might flip over to FXX sometime in the next 12 days for The Simpsons marathon. that's one of the myriad of shows that i never really got into over my 38 years on earth.

that's all for today kids. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

nothing a long shower couldn't cure...

i got stuck behind a school bus today on my way into town. that brought back the less than fond memories of going to school in late August knowing you had at least one class in the afternoon that was in the west building. of course, that building had no air conditioning. ah, good times...

the Yankees got a lead last night and promptly pissed it away. they tied the game only to lose it in the 9th, 7-4. i'm at the point now where i truly don't give a shit. i may watch them for a bit tonight, but thankfully there are other shows for me to watch.

Tyrant was excellent last night. i can't wait for the season finale next week.

Hard Knocks was more unintentional comedy for me. being a Saints fan, quite honestly, i get a good amount of joy out of any misery the Falcons have.

tonight i'll be watching Big Brother, Brew Dogs, and The Bridge. hopefully it will be a great night of television.

i got a call from the muse today. i haven't heard from her in nearly a month. i was happy to hear that at least some of her drama is getting settled in her life.

i haven't heard from the dream woman in a few days. as usual, i have no fucking clue what's going on there.

i took a nap this afternoon while watching some Champions League playoff games. i guess i needed some sleep. but, that's nothing a long shower couldn't cure. first time my lazy ass has had clean clothes on in days.

as usual, the weather people got it wrong again here. now, it's the casual excuse of pop up storms. i would love if one of them would just fucking say.. "honestly, i have no fucking clue what it's going to do out there. you may get rain or you may be dry for two fucking months. beats me." that little piece of honesty would win me over for life.

that's all for me today. hopefully, you're in a better place than i am currently. once again, thank you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

and they said hell was a dry heat

when i saw the guy who farms out here mowing the parts of the farm i don't/can't mow today, i simply muttered he's fucking nuts. it's been close to 90 degrees since 10 this morning. and the humidity has to be somewhere close to a level where you'd be willing to kill someone for air conditioning. thankfully, the only time i went out today was to feed the animals. and the cats were really feeling the heat. i'm not sure the young ones have been through anything like this as this damn summer has been closer to fall than anything. we've now gone nearly 2 months without any significant amount of rain. supposedly, that's going to end tonight. although, the damn weather people haven't got shit right all summer.

Monday Night Raw last night was excellent. even my mother, who quite frankly, hates professional wrestling, was entertained with the main event last night. hopefully the WWE doesn't run Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins into the ground over the next few years. that's a rivalry i'd like to see go on for decades. overall, a really good show. the 3 hours flew by. always a good sign. amazingly, a great show without John Cena... hopefully the powers that be take a fucking hint for a change.

i was a little bummed out today when i heard the news that Braxton Miller re-injured his shoulder and is going to miss the upcoming season for Ohio State. i guess we'll find out just how good of a coach Urban Meyer really is now. i've got a feeling this is going to be one long ass season.

the Yankees play a pretty much MUST WIN game tonight at home against Houston. hopefully they actually show some urgency and start burying teams early in these games. of course, they haven't done that all season, so i do realize how foolish it is for me to expect it to happen now. i would love to enjoy a victory beer later this evening.

also tonight, i'll be watching the new episodes of Tyrant and Hard Knocks on HBO.

tomorrow i have to start getting my fantasy football shit back in order. the college season starts pretty damn soon.

if it does storm like it is supposed to do tonight, i might try to get some pictures of the aftermath. at worst, i'm hoping i get some poems out of it.

spent most of this afternoon flipping between the Champions League playoffs and some porn. it will feel a little strange not to see Manchester United playing in the Champions League this season.

that's all for today folks. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your day.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, love letters, hate mail, broken promises, and dirty pennies from heaven.

so this is what summer feels like

first off, let me thank whomever left the comments about my latest poems in Dead Snakes. that helped make my morning a tad bit more bearable.

summer has returned here today. temps in the upper 80's with humidity close to that number. i made the mistake of driving with my window open while driving by the farm at the nearest intersection out here. they were spreading shit in the field. take about a smell that burns the back of your throat forever. there's one thing i won't miss when we move.

one thing i will miss happened when i was doing the dishes today. out of nowhere came 18 wild turkeys moving from the corn to the soybeans. i know wherever we move, i most likely won't see something like that.

the Yankees had an offensive explosion yesterday, winning 4-2. 2 wins in a row, holy shit. they are off tonight before they play Houston tomorrow at home. hopefully they can get on a big winning streak to truly get back in the playoff race.

the shows last night were excellent. Big Brother made me laugh. i truly hate this Team America bullshit. and i do believe the producers are going to get their wish this Thursday; fireworks. Ray Donovan was really good, mostly because there was plenty of sex involved. The Strain was brilliant. truly fucking terrifying. Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious. not sure what i'm going to do with it off for the next 2 weeks. Masters of Sex was good and kind of sad.

tonight i will be watching Monday Night Raw. there were 3 title changes last night at the PPV. that should make for an interesting show, especially given that one of those changes was John Cena losing his title. i'll watch just for that quite honestly.

got my sister's birthday gifts ordered today. i had to get her more than one thing as the book i ordered for her is caught up in Amazon's war with book publishers. i checked and saw i had enough reward points on my credit card to cover it all. so, i of course got a few things for myself.

my mom made it down to her meeting this morning right before it started. she said traffic was horrible. of course, i didn't know she actually made it down there until she called me this afternoon to tell me she was on her way home. i suppose it's going to be a late dinner tonight as i fully expect traffic to be horrible on the way back up here. good times.

that's pretty much all for me today. hope everyone had a great weekend.

emerging from the fog

i woke up this morning to a fog so thick you couldn't see the road from the house. hell, you could only see the first power pole and not the other three going down the lane. hopefully it will not be like that tomorrow morning as mom needs to hit the road before dawn. guess i'll worry about that tomorrow.

got some really great music yesterday on NoiseTrade. especially considering i had only heard of one of the bands i got. i'll include some links to the FREE music down below in the music section.

the Yankees finally got a win yesterday, 3-2. i only watched the last 2 innings, so i will probably continue that today hoping they can win the series. i did enjoy that Jeter got the winning hit after almost being hit with a pitch. good times.

ROH last night was excellent. i was hoping they were going to show the post match speech from Kevin Steen, but they didn't. i urge anyone who likes pro wrestling to check out this episode whenever you can.

i did watch a little UFC last night and some Mexican soccer. mostly, it was flipping through channels and then just turning on Dateline for my mother and getting on the computer. i've been trying to check my emails more regularly as i have been getting more survey invites than usual  here lately. and since that is how i try to help pay bills and Christmas for my loved ones... i've got to figure out how i'm paying for my sister's birthday gifts without going below my oh shit point in my checking account.

tonight should be another busy night of television. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, and Masters of Sex.

i've got the trash out and the animals fed so far today. i can feel some rain coming, so i think i will wait until i am in complete misery to do the dishes. i suppose today will be a test of my pain tolerance.

i'm trying to convince my mother that we should move out of state when we leave the farm. i don't think i'm going to win this battle.

that's all for me today. hope you enjoy the poems i got published late last night. 3 pretty sad ones. the way these days are going here lately, there's plenty more of that to come.

be well. be cool. be creative. be sure to enjoy the end of the weekend. be quick to send me CASH, panties, love letters, hate mail, broken promises, and old pennies from heaven.

the more things change...

i decided i would take some time before i got on here this morning. i just love waking up at the crack of dawn... only to watch Manchester United lose. so much for any thought i had of having a good weekend.

i was happy that LvG gave some kids a chance this morning. i was happy with the goal Wayne Rooney scored to tie the game. but, to lose 2-1 to a team that has NEVER won a league game at Old Trafford... it just brings back up the horror show from last season. hopefully, this display allows the coaching staff and management to see that they need some players NOW.

continuing with shitty sports news, the Yankees almost bothered to show up last night, losing 5-0. that's five straight losses and it is increasingly apparent that they have quit giving a shit. at least some of them have. they play again this afternoon. i can't imagine me choosing to watch them. i might flip over from time to time.

Treehouse Masters was really good last night. if i ever get rich... hell, why the fuck do i bother to dream about such things?

The Knick was good last night. i'm interested to see how layers this story has. Clive Owen is brilliant in the show.

it's supposed to get hot and humid this weekend and supposedly rain. i figure if it does rain, it will be when i'm getting ready to go feed the animals outside.

i guess i should spend this weekend getting all my fantasy football shit ready. i'd really like to repeat my championship in the NFL.com league i won last season.

not sure what i'm going to be watching this evening on television. i do know i will be up for the ROH episode tonight. it will show the final ROH match for Kevin Steen. he's now signed with the WWE. hopefully, they don't fuck that one up. i'd love to see Steen get a real chance at the main roster.

hopefully i will be in a better mood come tomorrow. at least i am smart enough and old enough to know to not expect it.

hope this finds everyone well.

another creative outburst

before i get to what the hell i was doing up at 3 in the morning making YouTube videos, i have a little story to tell.

so, yesterday i wrote that i had not seen my cat Tolstoy for over 2 weeks. lo and behold, today when i go out to feed the cats, Tolstoy is where he normally is, just chillin', waiting for some food. at least i know one creature that reads this blog. and i completely understand why i prefer cats to dogs; they are indifferent pricks much like myself.

now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

those two YouTube videos came from just not being able to fall asleep last night. so, i finally decided to see if i could find a spot in my dirty ass room to set up the mini tripod mom got me awhile back. once i figured that out, it was go time. both of those poems have been on my 'to do' list for quite some time. i hope everyone enjoys the videos. and if you do, please feel free to tell EVERYONE and share it with the world.

the Yankees play tonight down in Tampa. i almost give a shit.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. as i thought, Nicole got the boot. the next eviction will be the most interesting one of the season. i figure whoever does get voted out will end up walking right back in, as that is what the next twist will be.

Married and You're The Worst were good last night as well. i suppose FX doesn't do any bad shows.

tonight i'll be checking out the season finale of Treehouse Masters and another episode of The Knick on Cinemax. if i somehow also get a victory beer out of the evening, i will be thrilled.

i did have a drink this afternoon when mom decided she wanted to go out to lunch. i'm not one to turn down a free meal. i only had one drink though, i was driving after all. we went to Ruby Tuesday. it was the first time i have ever been to one, shockingly. i had a pretty damn good Cuban sandwich, so there's a good chance we'll end up going again. about 100% as we have another coupon for it.

i'm hoping to get to bed at a decent hour tonight as Manchester United plays early in the morning. hard to believe another Premier League season is upon us. hopefully the disaster of last season will never happen again in my lifetime.

had a very brief chat with the dream woman today. she's been super fucking busy here lately. i do love the way she manages to life my spirits with just a hello. hopefully i'll get a chance to really talk with her this weekend. that time difference between here and Alaska fucking sucks though.

that's all for me today. i do hope EVERYONE has a great weekend.

be well. be cool. be creative. be quick to send me CASH, panties, love letters, hate mail, broken promises, and old pennies. and be sure to only fuck the ones that cough.

sensory overload

next time i think it's a good decision to go to the store around 5 PM on a weekday, either talk sense into me or shoot me in the fucking head. too many people, way too many children, not everything stocked... the only good thing was nearly all the checkout lines were open and the woman bagging our groceries didn't bite my head off when i asked for some things in paper bags.

we went to the tractor supply store before that to get food for the zoo out here. i believe my cat Tolstoy might be on the dead list. haven't seen it in about 2 weeks. 2 more and it'll be scratched off the list.

was happy for Zach last night on Big Brother. i'm pretty sure Nicole will be leaving tonight. hopefully the next HOH will be able to get Frankie or Christine out next.

Wilfred was great last night. a nice mix of sadness and laughs. plus, most of the questions got answered. definitely a show that i will miss.

The Bridge was great again last night. i loved the ending. can't wait to see where it goes next week.

i also watched Brew Dogs on the Esquire Network last night. i try to catch that show when i can. one, just in case i travel, i'll know where the good bars are. two, i love beer. i highly recommend the show if you do as well.

after Big Brother tonight, i'll be watching Married and You're The Worst on FX.

i caught part 2 of The Jim Norton Show today on vice.com. if you love comics busting each other's balls, go check it out.

the Yankees had a lead last night. but, since the manager only trusts 2 relievers, he rolled the dice last night and tried to get 3 innings from a guy who normally doesn't go longer than 2. sure enough, he gives up a tying home run in the 3rd inning of work. and then, in comes a guy he doesn't trust, and he gives up a 3 run homer. the Yankees got back a run in the 9th and at least gave themselves a chance to tie the game, but, as is the story of this season, they came up short. a 5-3 loss that makes it more and more likely that Jeter's last season will be like Mo's last season. one with no playoffs. thankfully, they are off tonight before they go down to play in that dump in Tampa.

i feel bad for my mother. she's under so much stress and her ear is starting to fuck with her again. i had a conversation yesterday with her trying to make her understand why she is stressed and why she shouldn't be. mom is the kind of person that just wants to do her job, do it well, get paid accordingly, and go about her life. sadly, she picked the wrong profession, as she works with a bunch of glory fuckers. i related it like this: they don't want to find the cure for cancer, they simply want their name on it. this is where her stress comes from as she's not a glory fucker. i told her to either become one or quit giving a shit that they are. all i'm really trying to do is make sure she doesn't croak anytime soon. at least not until more of the bills are paid off.

yes, yes, i know, i'm going to hell for that last line. i'm trying to enjoy the ride.

well, that's all for me kids. see you tomorrow.

the mid week blues

it was cool enough here last night that i was able to sleep with the windows open. i would do that more often if the smell of shit didn't always somehow end up sneaking in. life in the sticks.

i thought this tribute to Robin Williams was the best one yet:

Tyrant was pretty damn good last night. always love a good coup episode.

Hard Knocks was good as well last night. more fake toughness from the Falcons.

tonight will be a big night of television. start off with Big Brother. then, the series finale of Wilfred. that's certainly one show i will miss. after that, one of my favorite shows, The Bridge.

on top of all that, the Yankees play tonight. this is a must win game. Pineda is pitching for the first time since April. hopefully he is ready for a big stretch run. if not, this team has literally no chance to make the playoffs.

the dream woman seems to be ignoring me ever since i couldn't help her with some money issues. gee, i wonder what i'm thinking...

i sent out 21 poems this morning... 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon, 4 to Hobo Camp Review, 5 to Horror Sleaze and Trash, and 6 to The Kitchen Poet. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.

i'd love to take one long nap today, but i don't think that's possible. i suppose i should just take a shower and see if that wakes me up.

i did catch part 1 of The Jim Norton Show with Rich Vos, Sherrod Small, and Dave Attell today on vice.com. can't wait for part 2 tomorrow.

that's all for today kids. i'll be around here sometime tomorrow.

hello sadness, it's been awhile...

my sister called me yesterday with the news that Robin Williams was dead. this really came out of nowhere for me. as i dug deeper online and saw that he was dead and had committed suicide, i really got bummed out. he was one of the bigger comedic influences in my life. i can remember him from the Mork and Mindy days and how he could always make me laugh. and with it being suicide, it really hits closer to home. i have battled that temptation for many years now. and the harder i try to keep the dark side of me down, the more i figure i will give in at some point. hopefully, that is many years from now. i will deeply miss Robin Williams. not only for his comedy, but for the movie that sent me in the crazy direction i am in now, Dead Poets Society. O Captain My Captain, may you find the peace you deserve. you will be missed.

i believe the dream woman and i just had our first argument. over money of course. funny how that always creeps into these situations.

the Yankees had a lead last night, 3-1. next thing you know, they gave up 10 straight runs to lose 11-3. ouch. thank god they are rained out tonight. i need a break from them. hopefully they will do better on Wednesday.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. they held the Hulk Hogan stuff for the very end, which i figured they were going to do to try to help the ratings. overall, the three hours went by pretty fast.

i followed the Manchester United game today online as i was watching Real Madrid win the UEFA Super Cup. hard to imagine that Fellaini scored the winner for United at the death. 2-1 win over Valencia. i'll enjoy that victory beer after i sweep the floors.

i got up this morning and did the dishes. i figured i was already in pain, might as well pile on. good times.

i guess i'll be watching Tyrant tonight and that might be it. it should be another really good episode.

the weather here has taken another turn to the cool side. supposed to be in the 60's for the next few days. one of the oddest summers i can ever remember.

that's pretty much all for me today. oh wait...

i used a different lotion to masturbate today and holy shit, what a feeling. now go and enjoy that visual...

stuck out in the rain

we got a little rain last night. but, just a few hours after it, it didn't look like we got much. it was already dry. so, i said we needed a nice long rain. well, guess who got fucking stuck out in the rain today? right after i got done feeding the animals, i was walking out the door to go to town to get the mail and sure enough, it starts to rain. by the time i am down at the end of the lane, it is coming down in sheets. just my luck, the trash cans didn't have the lids on and the huge recycle bin was already collecting water. needless to say, by the time i got back in the truck from getting the paper, i was fucking soaked. it was spooky driving as the dumb fucks out here in the sticks rarely turn on their lights when it is raining. thankfully, i wasn't the truck that nearly got swiped by the trash truck. i was 200 feet back from that near disaster. and wouldn't you know it, the second i step out of the post office, it stops raining. talk about wanting to punch mother nature right in the face.

hope everyone enjoys my new YouTube videos. got that inspiration while i was taking the trash down yesterday. i figured i was going to take pictures of the new kittens anyway. why not just make it an adorable video with a dirty poem included. i love my creative outbursts.

finally got to talk to, let's just call her, my dream woman, on the phone today. such an amazing, thick accent. incredibly sexy. of course, these old ears are going to have a hell of a time hearing her through the static. she is in Alaska of course. that figures. no woman that is TRULY into me would live anywhere near me. oh well. time to strap in for the crazy ride once again.

you know it is getting ready for fantasy football time when you see this video come out:

since golf ran late last night, i only got to see bits and pieces of Big Brother. man, i wish Frankie would get out of the house soon. Ray Donovan was good once again. The Strain was great as usual, although it seemed like there was a ton of commercials in it last night. Last Week Tonight was funny as hell last night. Masters of Sex was good once again as well. i'm liking this season more than the first one.

as for tonight, i figure i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening. it's Hulk Hogan's birthday, so i figure the show will be a trip down memory lane.

the Yankees lost again yesterday, 4-1, to ruin what could have been a great home stand. they face some must win games in Baltimore starting tonight if they really want to go to the playoffs this season.

i decided to treat myself today and cashed in some of my survey points to get some iTunes gift codes. you'll see that madness below.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. mine was a little sad when i heard the news of the death of a former Dayton basketball player. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24656114/college-hoops-journeyman-matt-derenbecker-found-dead-in-pool way too young. rest in peace Matt.

another late night

i was up again pretty late last night/this morning. but, this time i was busy doing some poetry work. i went through my poems and came up with 21 poems to send out later this week. i'm planning on sending to two places i have never sent before, so that's always interesting. more on that in the coming days.

i woke up to a lovely email from someone who i'm really hoping becomes someone special in my life.

ROH last night was excellent. all of the matches were top notch. if they ever get a major television deal, they could give the WWE a run for their money.

the Yankees were stopped yesterday by some great pitching and them sadly reverting back to what they did earlier this season. they couldn't get a hit with a runner in scoring position to save their life. they lost 3-0. they play again this afternoon to try to win the series.

the Paul O'Neill ceremony was very nice. it certainly brought back some great memories.

it will be another busy night of television tonight. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, and finally Masters of Sex. after all that, i'd love to get some sleep.

it certainly feels like it is going to rain today. i haven't taken down the trash yet. i'm waiting in hopes i will have a victory beer to recycle later this afternoon. it was really humid this morning when i was feeding the cats. watched Whitey take a piss and then try to rub up against me. i don't think she expected me to swat her away as quickly as i did. i did enjoy watching the three new kittens playing around with each other. once of these days i'll try to get a video or pictures of them.

that is all for me today. i hope this finds everyone having a great end to their weekend.

where does the time go

i guess i have officially decided to sleep well when i'm dead. i was up late last night/this morning doing some writing. i wrote 5 really good poems. let's just say, i really hope i'm not being duped by this woman i met or i'm going to look like a bigger fool than i normally do.

i'll type those up later today sometime.

i did happen to catch the first episode of The Knick last night on Cinemax. really, really good. i think i'm going to enjoy this one. if you can catch it sometime this weekend, i highly urge you to do so.

the Yankees got a rare offensive explosion last night, winning 10-6 over Cleveland. helps that Carlos Beltran hit a grand slam. they play again this afternoon. before the game, they will honor The Warrior, Paul O'Neill. i can't wait to see that.

i did also watch the latest episode of Treehouse Masters last night. i'm wondering if i could make one that is a pool hall. now that would be some badass shit.

it's really starting to get dry out here on the farm. now, i know a good number of you living in a drought just told me to go fuck myself. i just want this great crop we have going out here to continue. if this does happen to be our last harvest, i'd like to go out with a bang.

mom has really increased her looking for a new house in the last few days. i figure she either really wants to move or she is just now realizing that her "vacation" is winding down. let it be known, i come from one giant long line of procrastinators. it's beyond frustrating. i'm more of a make a damn decision and live with the results kind of guy. but it has taken all the fibers of my 38 years on this planet to get to that point.

not sure what else i'm going to be doing this weekend. i'd love to hit up this beer tasting festival nearby, but i doubt that's going to happen. a little thing called money. fuck me.

i do hope everyone is in the beginning of a great weekend. until next time my enemies...

no good deed ever goes unpunished

i worked my ass off yesterday. i warned all of you, i hadn't touched my closet in years. hence, today my mother and i took 5 trash bags full of clothes to this local charity. hopefully someone in the community gets some use out of that stuff. as for me, i believe my back is still hurting from it. so be it.

mom and i had another full day today. had some lunch at a little Lebanese place. i had a coupon for it that of course they weren't honoring any longer. that's my luck. the food was really good. we went to a coin shop trying to sell some old coins that my grandfather for some reason turned into a necklace and key chain. needless to say, i may have to start an eBay account for mom. after that, a trip to the grocery store that wasn't nearly as bad as either one of us thought it was going to be.

now i would love to take a nap. of course, that's not going to happen.

the Yankees got some GREAT pitching yesterday and beat Detroit 1-0. i'm still shocked they won 3 out of 4 from that team. they are getting ready to play Cleveland as i am typing this. hopefully i'll be enjoying another victory beer tonight.

Big Brother last night was awesome. the looks on the faces of the clueless when Zach stayed was great. Jacosta and Hayden were sent to the jury house. hopefully they do another double eviction later in the season.

i've been emailing back and forth with this amazingly beautiful woman i have met on Google+. of course, i have my suspicions as this is my life after all. my luck, i'm being catfished. but, as a writer, you have to welcome the threat of chaos every now and then. of course, i would be beyond fucking happy if this woman is legit and is actually interested in me. talk about the worm turning my friends.

Married and You're the Worst were pretty good last night. FX is just about the best network out there anymore. right up there with Showtime and HBO.

besides the Yankees game tonight, i will probably be watching a little football and maybe some soccer late tonight on the west coast. i also want to write some poems as well tonight. scroll back to the emails and you'll know what i'm planning on writing about.

i'll be back on here tomorrow morning as the Yankees will be playing in the afternoon. they are honoring Paul O'Neill tomorrow. that will be a roller coaster of emotions for me.

be sure all of you check out part 1 and 2 of the latest episode of The Jim Norton Show. the interview with Whitney Cummings was really good. you can find it on vice.com

i do hope everyone has a great weekend.

be well. be creative. be quick to send me cash, panties, or hate mail. be sure to only fuck the ones that cough. and be an entertaining drunk.

response from Chiron Review

i heard back from Michael at Chiron Review on my poetry submission from back in June. my poem "busy playing with a needle" has been accepted for publication. this is one of the strongest poems i have EVER written. when it gets published, i'll pass along the ordering info.

who needs sleep

i found myself up at something like 4 in the morning, catching up on some television i missed, wondering why do i even bother with sleep anymore. my life is a series of naps anymore. so be it.

the Yankees got some great pitching last night and some very timely hitting to beat another former Cy Young winner, 5-1. they go for the series win this afternoon.

i caught up on the episode of Hard Knocks i missed the other night on HBO. as a Saints fan, i'm watching this with part laughter and part trying to learn the secrets of the enemy. i do like the false bravado of these assholes. no wonder the Falcons stunk last year.

Big Brother was interesting last night. and i surely thought i knew who was going to be evicted tonight until i read what happened in the house last night. now, i really have no clue who is going to go out with the first vote tonight, let alone, the second eviction tonight. i love the double eviction nights. let the chaos begin.

Wilfred was really good last night. they have set up the series finale next week perfectly. can't wait.

The Bridge was brilliant as always last night. another couple of twists that really will take the show to yet another level. i absolutely love this show.

had a really great conversation with a publisher last night that really brought my confidence way back up. just the shot of energy i needed. so, thank you Chris Byck. best of luck with your new job.

i'm looking forward to the new episodes of Married and You're the Worst tonight on FX.

i figure i'll be watching the Yankees game today while i'm cleaning out my closet. hopefully it is a long ass game as i haven't touched that damn thing in years.

that's really all for me today. i do hope this finds everyone well. and please, if you do like this blog or my writing, etc., TELL THE REST OF THE FUCKING WORLD...

be well. be cool. be creative. be quick to send me cash, panties, hate mail, whatever your heart desires.

a few good souls left in the world

maybe 20 minutes after i woke up this morning, there was a call from the mechanic. he said there was a short in the battery in my truck. they put a new one in and it was running fine. total bill came to $130. considering the other place i normally go would have been well over $200 because of labor, i believe i have found a new mechanic. now, just have to put all the radio stations back in. i got a 5 year warranty on the battery, since i know my luck, i may have this damn truck another 5 years. those 5 years were included in the $130. i know that would have been more at the other place. so a big thank you to Noble's Automotive Services.

mom decided she wanted to go to lunch today at the Longhorn Steakhouse. the prices were a little high but the food was excellent. definitely a place i will go to again.

the season finale of Deadliest Catch was really good last night. probably one of the best reality shows ever. the episode of Tyrant last night was really good. there were a couple of moments that certainly caught me off guard. can't wait for next week.

the Yankees lost a winnable game last night, 4-3 in 12 innings. they face yet another great pitcher tonight. hopefully they win tonight as i would love to have a chance to win this series.

got some new free music today on NoiseTrade from American Aquarium. i'll post the link down below in the music section. i highly recommend you check it out.

besides the Yankees tonight, i'll be watching Big Brother, Wilfred, and The Bridge.

found a couple places i have never sent to before while doing some searching on the internet today. so, tomorrow i'll go through the unpublished poems and see how many i can come up with. might need another writing session, but i don't believe i will.

after i get done with this, i need to get on vice.com and see the new episode of The Jim Norton Show. hopefully it is up.

talked to my friend in California today. she's still dealing with some concussion issues. hopefully all the drama in her life can settle down so she can start getting better.

that's all for today kids. hope this finds everyone well.

a truly dreary day

i took a nap this afternoon that was completely unexpected. i feel like old age has finally decided i am on the back half of the circle. and this was after a rare decent night of sleep.

had my truck towed to this local mechanic today. never used him before, but it's maybe 15 miles closer than the place i normally take it to. hopefully, i'll know by tomorrow what is wrong with it. mom and i came to the conclusion today if it costs more than $500 to fix it, we're going to junk it. so, part of me hopes it won't be that much to fix.

the tow truck driver was this old dude that talked like he had about a billion marbles in his mouth. that was fun trying to figure out what the fuck he was saying. at least he knew where to take it to.

Manchester United scored 3 goals in the second half last night to defeat Liverpool 3-1. that was a nice way to finish up the tour.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i didn't like when they ended it with the contract signing...the match before that would have been a better closer. just my opinion, i've only watched longer than most of the performers have been alive.

the Yankees got just enough runs and some great pitching last night to beat Detroit 2-1. they face yet another former cy young winner tonight. after they face another tomorrow, they will be the first team ever to do that. hopefully the winning can continue tonight.

other than that tonight, i'll be watching Deadliest Catch and Tyrant. looking forward to both of those.

i didn't get anything done i wanted to today. besides the nap, got some news i didn't want to get today.

i heard back from Brian at Zygote in My Coffee on my poetry submission from back in June. he has announced that Zygote is closing down. the site will remain up, as will the archives. it is also the end of Tainted Coffee Press as well. a BIG thank you to Brian for publishing me for over a decade. i truly appreciate it. my best to him and his family.

so, i now have a stack of poems to send out here soon. my apologies to a few of you editors out there before the emails start flying.

it feels like it is going to rain. at least, that's what my back is saying.

lord knows how late i'm going to be up tonight. this feels like one of those days where i pick up some paint brushes and just go nuts until i run out of steam. if that happens, i'll be sure to take some pictures of it.

that's all for today. hope this finds everyone well.

out of my comfort zone

today has flew by it seems. mom decided she wanted to go look at houses and go out to lunch. i decided to go out of my comfort zone a little and get some food that was a bit spicy. thankfully, it wasn't pucker the asshole spicy, but a little heat wasn't bad. plus, they were shrimp tacos. that's way out of my comfort zone. saw a few houses that i like but mom is a little more particular. i figure before too long, i'll be living in my broken down truck.

mom test drove the Rav4 yesterday and hated it. so, there goes my hope of getting her vehicle anytime soon.

it's been pretty cloudy today, but not from the clouds. the smoke from the fires out west have made it here now.

the Yankees came from behind a few times last night to win 8-7. finally, they won a series against a shitty team. they play back at home tonight, starting a series against Detroit. hopefully the bats stay hot. of course, there was another pitching injury last night. i can't ever remember when so many starters got hurt in one season for one team.

Manchester United plays Liverpool tonight in the finals of the pre-season tournament here in the USA. this should be a good test for the boys. hopefully, they win. i can't stand Liverpool, so i would love to hear the excuses after a Manchester United win.

i watched a ton of auto racing yesterday. that's always a good way for me to nap. that and golf.

my night on tv is going to be nuts as the Yankees, United, and Monday Night Raw are all on at the same time. good thing i'm crazy.

the shows last night were great. Big Brother was pretty funny. Ray Donovan was good. The Strain was fucking excellent. Last Week Tonight was hilarious as always. Masters of Sex was good as well.

after all that, i did manage to write 5 poems. i typed them up this afternoon. let me just say that August is off to a good start. i'll probably do a few submissions here in the next week or so.

so far, vacation week is going well. tomorrow i get to tackle my closet and round up all the clothes i don't wear anymore so i can give them away to charity. good times.

that's all for me folks. hope everyone had a great weekend.

be well. be cool. be creative. be quick to send me cash, panties, gift cards, a kind letter, or hate mail. it's all good.

there must be rain on the way

when i got out of bed this morning, i think i felt every bone in my body make a sound. you would think i played professional football at one point in my life. i say that because i ended up watching way more of the pro football hall of fame inductions than i thought i was going to. many of the guys certainly brought back memories of my youth. that's not always a good thing.

i think mom has found the next vehicle she wants. she really liked the Rav4 she saw yesterday. i think she's going to test drive it today. if she ends up getting it, then i would get her Highlander. it has nearly 200,000 miles on it, but it would be the first vehicle i would own that was built in this century. to say it would be an upgrade would be a HUGE understatement. keep your fingers crossed kids.

saw this amazing woman in the grocery store yesterday. of course, her kid was with her. and i noticed the ring on the finger. that didn't stop my imagination. i'm sure that glimpse of her perfect ass will give me poems for weeks. good times.

Manchester United looked like the Manchester United of the late 90's yesterday, beating Real Madrid 3-1 in front of 109,318 fans. that is easily a record to see a soccer game in the USA. what amazed me is how well Ashley Young is playing. of course, it is the pre-season. they advanced to the finals of this tournament, facing Liverpool in Miami, Florida on Monday night. that should be an interesting one. hopefully the boys go back home with a trophy.

the Yankees came from behind to win yesterday, 6-4. they'll try to win the series tonight. at least the teams in front of them lost yesterday so they made up some ground. hopefully that will continue.

2 victory beers in one day. maybe that is why i got almost 6 hours of sleep last night.

ROH was really good last night. i was happy they had Cedric Alexander win the gauntlet match. i really think he can be a star one of these days. amazing talent.

i guess i need to get my lazy ass in gear now. i still have the cats to feed, trash to pick up, and days of dishes to do. and my back feels absolutely horrible. good times.

looking forward to the usual Sunday night in front of the television. Big Brother, Ray Donovan, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, and Masters of Sex.

hopefully i'll have enough energy left over to get a nice writing session in.

that's all for me folks. i do hope everyone is having a great weekend.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me cash. be kind to others. and be first to kick wolf man in the nards.

what happens when you mix rain, insomnia, and arthritis...

we had a thunderstorm hit here around 1:30 in the morning. it knocked out the satellite for a bit and certainly made my back feel like absolute shit, but it eventually just settled into a long rain. it felt like i was in bed for hours just listening to it rain before i eventually got a little sleep. getting out of bed this morning wasn't a picnic.

i did see the Paul George injury from last night this morning when i got on the computer.
fucking sick. good thing i forgot that was on last night. i can't imagine how long of a road to recovery he has in front of him.

not sure what mom has planned for me today. she mentioned something about going car browsing. she's also mentioned some houses she wants to look at. i do know that we're going to have to go to the store at some point today. hopefully i am back home in time to watch Manchester United vs. Real Madrid later today.

the Yankees continued their inability to beat last place teams last night, losing 4-3. they play again today, but at the same time as the Manchester United game. little to no chance i'll watch the Yankees before that is over.

i suppose the one bright spot from yesterday is my ass stopped bleeding finally.

i might watch some of the pro football hall of fame stuff tonight on television. might not as well. sort of depends on my mood. i am planning on watching the new ROH episode late tonight.

i guess i should get out there and feed the animals before the next round of showers hit. plus, it's relatively cool right now.

if i happen to do something worth noting today, i'll be sure to pass it along tomorrow.

hope this finds everyone well. go out and have a great weekend. listen to some music. get some food. have a drink on me.

a pure slice of fresh hell

the third email i opened early this morning was the acceptance note i got back on my poetry submission. i thought what a great way to start a month. little did i know...

at high noon i felt my stomach start to rumble. i had already went 3 times in the morning, so this must be just some gas. whoops. 20 minutes later i was downing some Imodium. 15 minutes after that, just as i'm getting ready to go feed the cats, back to the bathroom. by this time, my back is killing me and i'm wiping blood. good times. did i mention i still had to go out and feed the cats? mind you, summer has returned so today was hot and humid. by 1 in the afternoon, wiping sweat from my forehead, i just utter out today is a pure slice of fresh hell. a nice long shower quickly followed. while in there, my inner self asked me the usual question...

many a man better and greater than you have had the decency to kill themselves... WHAT MAKES YOU SPECIAL?

as usual, i have no response. tonight i will apologize to the 8 year old me and once again ask forgiveness for not believing him then... it's all been downhill since.

at least i was smart enough to wait until i knew i wasn't going to shit again to clean the toilets.

so, if you happen to still be reading this, i thank you. and quietly ask, what is your disease?

the Yankees play tonight in Boston. i'll probably watch a little of the game, mostly to see the new players.

Big Brother was good last night. Amber looked a little stunned and pissed when she got voted out last night. they didn't get the HOH game done before the broadcast was over, so i had to go online to see who won. let's just say it's going to be a different week this week. plus, the house guests don't know it's a double eviction coming up. that is always fun.

Married and You're the Worst were both really good last night.

other than baseball tonight, i'll probably flip through the channels to either find some wrestling, some food, some tree houses, or some history shit. good times.

that's all for me today. i'll be on here tomorrow before all the games begin.

today was the start of my "vacation" as well. what a lovely mess my life is right now.

hope everyone has a great weekend. don't worry, you have a 99.9% chance of having a better one than me.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send cash, help, panties, a life line, or a hitman.

response from Fuck Art, Let's Dance

i heard back from Jeremiah at Fuck Art, Let's Dance on my poetry submission from back in June. my poem "high society" has been accepted for publication in the 6th issue of Fuck Art, Let's Dance. the issue is due out September 1st.
