no time for sleep now

i had a hard time falling asleep last night. so, i figured what a great time to catch up on the shows i had on the DVR. here's the problem i have with watching good television; there's no fucking way i can fall asleep after something good. i play it over in my head, think about what i could write different or better (ha ha). so, thank you, Tyrant. after catching up on the last 2 episodes i was up at 4 in the morning thinking about how i would write the rest of the season. and of course, i was up 3 hours later. and since today is the start of the silly season, there will be no naps today.

speaking of the silly season, when i saw that Phil Kessel was traded to the Penguins today, i think i might have shit my pants. that's the last thing i wanted to see a team in the Rangers division do, get really better. the Rangers signed a few guys, mostly depth guys, today. i'm waiting on all the restricted free agents to get done, hopefully soon. the biggest news of the day was that Glen Sather was stepping down from being the GM of the Rangers. i believe somewhere i could hear angels singing. not because of the job Slats did, but because Jeff Gorton is the new GM of the Rangers. he's been wanted by numerous teams over the last few years and the Rangers always said no. this is the guy who really built the Boston Bruins when they won their championship, so i, like every other Rangers fan in the world, are hoping he builds a winner in New York. Slats will still be in the organization as the president. i figure he and the Rangers owner love each other, so he'll have a job until he dies.

please enjoy a quick music break:

the New York Yankees lost again last night, 2-1. once again, the offense has gone missing. and they are wasting too much decent pitching at the moment. they play again tonight. hopefully they avoid the sweep.

team USA beat Germany last night 2-0 to advance to the finals of the Women's World Cup. the USA did get lucky with some calls, but they certainly outplayed Germany for most of the game. hopefully they can win it all on Sunday.

as i mentioned earlier, Tyrant was excellent last night. i've caught up on the episodes i missed. this season has a nice slow burn to it. Deadliest Catch last night was excellent as well. it's fascinating to watch what happens on a boat when the shit hits the fan.

as for tonight, since it is Wednesday, it's pro wrestling night. on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Lucha Underground. i will be watching NXT tonight, mostly for Finn Balor and Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Owens and Rhyno. that should be spectacular. also on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother.

here's some funny shit i saw today that really made me laugh:

i've spent most of today doing my laundry. i didn't realize i had so many black clothes.

that's really all for me today. i've got clothes to fold and websites to check as i try to stay updated on the free agency madness.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

let's start the weekend off with insomnia...

i think i might have got almost 3 hours of sleep last night. the drugs didn't work. nothing fucking worked. i eventually found some program that was in French or something that eventually got me to sleep. of course, 3 hours later the pizza i had for dinner decided it needed to leave my body. quickly. i didn't bother to try to fall back asleep after that. as you might imagine, i'm in a fucking great mood.

Manchester United pissed me off yesterday, but i can't blame them completely. their opponent, Cambridge United simply wanted to get a draw yesterday and nothing more. so, the 0-0 draw didn't surprise me. the replay will be in early February at Old Trafford. so, Cambridge can get their pay day and hopefully Manchester United can get the win to advance in the FA Cup. seeing that Manchester Shitty and Chelsea both lost today, i think Manchester United has a real shot at possibly winning the FA Cup this year. it's been 11 damn years since they have won it. that's way too long.

i did watch most of the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft last night. i do like the team Rick Nash is on. that's the team i'll be cheering for, even though there are players from the fucking Islanders and Devils on it. i'm planning on bringing my camera to the game, so hopefully i'll get some good photos.

Treehouse Masters was pretty good last night. if i had some fuck you money, i would absolutely have a fucking treehouse.

NJPW was really good last night on AXS TV. anytime you can watch Okada wrestle Tanahashi, i highly recommend you do so. even if the match is from 2013.

the roofers were out here at 9 this morning to fix the barn roofs. it's been so damn long since they have looked good, i'll be fucking shocked when they get done. but, that will go a long way to getting this place ready to sell.

mom and i are going to see the Dayton Flyers take on Richmond tonight at UD Arena. i'm hoping Dayton can get back to winning. Richmond hasn't won on the road yet this year, but i'm not sold that's a good thing just yet. Dayton hardly ever plays well when ranked.

after the game, i have no clue if we're going out to eat or coming back home. i do know that i'm planning on watching Saturday Night Live and ROH this evening.

after that, i'm really hoping i can get some sleep. i have to drive mom to Columbus tomorrow for a nursing conference and i'm going to the NHL All-Star game with my sister. and to add to the stress of everything, there's supposed to be some snow/freezing rain/rain coming as we're traveling. good times.

i'm going to try to get a blog posted early tomorrow morning. there's a real good chance of me posting one if i'm battling insomnia again. since i'm spending the night at my sister's Sunday night, i have no clue the next time i will be blogging after that. it may be just a huge picture dump if i get some really good shots from the game.

that's all for me today. i need to hit the shower and get ready for the basketball game tonight.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

the hawk is out tonight

so, how do i sum up my busy ass day in less than 15 minutes. not sure...

last night was a good one. the New York Rangers finally played like the team i know them to be. a crisp 2-0 win over the Flyers. that was a sweet victory beer.

Lucha Underground was very good once again. i wish other "indies" would copy what they are doing.

American Horror Story was excellent last night. sadly, the show will not be seen again until December. damn holidays.

Metallica gave a GREAT performance last night on The Late Late Show...

i got up this morning feeling good. a few hours later, the Dayton Flyers made me feel better. the game was bowling shoe ugly. but, thankfully, Dayton is now full of guys that know how to win ugly. a nice 55-53 win over Texas A&M. they advance down in Puerto Rico to play UCONN tomorrow afternoon. that should be a good one. if they can pull off the upset in that, they'll be in the championship game. highlights below:

mom and i went out this afternoon to get all the shopping done. she's found out that with her disease, changes in temperatures really fuck with her. and since it's going to go from the single digits to the 50's this weekend, i figured we better get all the shopping done today. amazingly, we did. it didn't take long, mostly because i didn't allow my mother to stray from the plan. get in. get out. good times.

tonight i'm hoping to watch The Big Bang Theory and some football. i have a RB going in the game for my good fantasy team.

was saddened to see that Mike Nichols died. if you don't know who i'm talking about, please go educate yourself. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/20/showbiz/obit-mike-nichols/index.html

that's all for me today. i'll be on tomorrow after the Dayton game. the heating and air guy comes tomorrow to service the furnace. of course it would be the day after a night in the single digits.

hope everyone is warm. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

stuck out in the rain

we got a little rain last night. but, just a few hours after it, it didn't look like we got much. it was already dry. so, i said we needed a nice long rain. well, guess who got fucking stuck out in the rain today? right after i got done feeding the animals, i was walking out the door to go to town to get the mail and sure enough, it starts to rain. by the time i am down at the end of the lane, it is coming down in sheets. just my luck, the trash cans didn't have the lids on and the huge recycle bin was already collecting water. needless to say, by the time i got back in the truck from getting the paper, i was fucking soaked. it was spooky driving as the dumb fucks out here in the sticks rarely turn on their lights when it is raining. thankfully, i wasn't the truck that nearly got swiped by the trash truck. i was 200 feet back from that near disaster. and wouldn't you know it, the second i step out of the post office, it stops raining. talk about wanting to punch mother nature right in the face.

hope everyone enjoys my new YouTube videos. got that inspiration while i was taking the trash down yesterday. i figured i was going to take pictures of the new kittens anyway. why not just make it an adorable video with a dirty poem included. i love my creative outbursts.

finally got to talk to, let's just call her, my dream woman, on the phone today. such an amazing, thick accent. incredibly sexy. of course, these old ears are going to have a hell of a time hearing her through the static. she is in Alaska of course. that figures. no woman that is TRULY into me would live anywhere near me. oh well. time to strap in for the crazy ride once again.

you know it is getting ready for fantasy football time when you see this video come out:

since golf ran late last night, i only got to see bits and pieces of Big Brother. man, i wish Frankie would get out of the house soon. Ray Donovan was good once again. The Strain was great as usual, although it seemed like there was a ton of commercials in it last night. Last Week Tonight was funny as hell last night. Masters of Sex was good once again as well. i'm liking this season more than the first one.

as for tonight, i figure i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening. it's Hulk Hogan's birthday, so i figure the show will be a trip down memory lane.

the Yankees lost again yesterday, 4-1, to ruin what could have been a great home stand. they face some must win games in Baltimore starting tonight if they really want to go to the playoffs this season.

i decided to treat myself today and cashed in some of my survey points to get some iTunes gift codes. you'll see that madness below.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. mine was a little sad when i heard the news of the death of a former Dayton basketball player. http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/eye-on-college-basketball/24656114/college-hoops-journeyman-matt-derenbecker-found-dead-in-pool way too young. rest in peace Matt.

that's all for today. see you again sometime tomorrow...
