now it feels like fall...

 hell, i even had to put on sweatpants today. holy hell. it only got into the 50's today. it was rather blustery today when i had to go to Kroger to get my pills. i guess it is going to be like this for most of this week. joy.

well, yesterday didn't go how i wanted for the most part either. i need the worm to turn and quickly.

the Saints got beat yesterday at home by Tampa Bay, 51-27. amazingly, the Saints were winning at halftime. fuck me. they next play on Thursday at home against Denver.

the season finale of Big Brother went how i was expecting for the most part. Makenzie won the final HOH and then made the stupid mistake of taking Chelsie to the final, instead of Cam. if she would have took Cam, she would have won $750,000. instead, she takes Chelsie, loses 7-0 and gets $75,000. Tucker won America's favorite player, first time someone that didn't at least make it to the jury has won that. $50,000 for that award. 

The Penguin was awesome last night.

Ohio State lost at Oregon last night, 32-31. injuries and mistakes. that pretty much sums up the game.

the New York Rangers lost at home to Utah last night, 6-5, in OT.

the USMNT won last night against Panama, 2-0. it wasn't pretty, but it was a win. i'll take it.

so, this happened last night...

 i was on the phone with the muse and i was by the back door of the house. i could hear the squirrels going nuts. i went outside to see if i could see what the fuck they were doing, since it sounded like they were on the roof. i got over to the side of the house and could really hear them. i looked up and there is a fucking hole in the siding underneath one of the roof lines. fuck me. it sounded like there was a fucking family up there, again. i told mom about it last night. i'm hoping i can get her out there so she can see it for herself. i can't tell if the hole came from storm damage or the squirrels just ripped the fucking hole themselves to get back inside. so yeah, not good.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was ok last night.

Big Brother last night was the look back episode. the bloopers were pretty funny.

 my life has this uncanny ability to always swing the positive to negative and negative to even more negative with fucking ease. i'm not sure if it is because my inner child has to always be in pain. or, does my ego enjoy the suffering and rising above it. or maybe this is all i really know. happiness is fleeting. pain is real. loss is real. the sad thing is, i really want to be happy. have fun. enjoy what little life i have left. and no matter what i do to try to make sure these fairytales are possible, nothing works. this is why i have such a laid back fuck it view of life, etc. there is no point in me fucking it up more than i already have. i suppose this is my reasoning for just accepting the pain and learning how to live with it. joy.

well, it could have been worse...

 i didn't get to sleep until after 4 AM this morning. i got up a little after 9. that was a few minutes after the Manchester United game started. they were playing at Aston Villa. the game finished 0-0. honestly, it could have been much worse. but, at least they got a point out of the game. still, it is the worst start they have had in the Premier League. ETH will find out this week if he will still have the head coaching job at United. my best guess is if they have the next coach already lined up, he will get fired. if not, they will keep him, at least until the summer.

another pissed off afternoon...

 so, Manchester United pissed away a 2-0 lead today at Porto in the Europa League. add to that, Bruno got another red card for a high boot that made no fucking contact with a player, even though the Porto player acted like Bruno made him bleed. but, United tied the game at 3 in the 91st minute. still, a 3-3 draw isn't fucking good enough.

i did take mom to her podiatrist today. they were more busy than normal. i also set up her appointment next week to have more blood work done and the appointment for both of us to get our COVID shots. i know she wanted to get all that done before she has her eye surgery.

not what i was hoping for...

 so, i made it to the doctor's office for my appointment today. my A1C was up, which means the Rybelsus did absolutely nothing for me. the only numbers i really liked was my blood pressure. after the appointment was over, they sent me upstairs to get some x-rays done on my left shoulder and elbow. those came back normal. oh well. i did get my flu shot today. 

i took a little nap after i got home. the guy that cuts our grass woke me up as he was blowing the leaves around. hopefully, this will be the last time he has to mow the grass.

well, Manchester United lost yesterday at home to Tottenham, 3-0. Bruno got a weak red card which really baffles me that VAR couldn't tell just how weak the red card was. fuck, even the commentators that dislike Manchester United said it was harsh. but, just more of the same. i'm not sure what the disconnect is between ETH and the team.

the New Orleans Saints lost at Atlanta yesterday, 26-24. 

the Yankees beat the Pirates yesterday at home, 6-4. they finished the season 94-68. they have the #1 seed in the American League playoffs. they will face either the Royals or Orioles on October 5th to start the ALDS.

i've had better days...

 so, the remnants of the hurricane have been pounding us all damn day. my arthritis is having a field day. but, that was just the start of the shit day i have had. my doctor's appointment was at 2:30. i got there at 2:15. i checked in and the woman at the desk said they tried to call you this morning because the woman you were supposed to see isn't here today. i never got the message or heard the phone. more on that in a bit. she asked me if i wanted to reschedule now? i said yes. i was hoping that someone there later in the afternoon would have an opening. of course not. so, my appointment now will be Monday at 12:30. joy. i texted mom to ask her to check the messages and see if they called this morning to reschedule my appointment. now, the doctor's office is about a 30 minute drive from the house. so, there was a hour of me driving in the rain today. i got home, and of course, mom knew nothing of the text message i sent. she told me before i left that she checked the phone and there were no messages. she checked again when i got home and i guess the doctor's office called at 7 this morning. i didn't get up until 8:15. so, i now get to be the one to always check the messages. we get 50 fucking calls a day from spam or fuckers trying to get mom to switch her Medicare. i'm at the point where i want to get rid of the land line and preferably with a shotgun. and i'm in too much pain to be angry. these are the days where the 8 year old me is laughing in the corner, shaking his head, knowing he was right. (for anyone who doesn't get the reference, i was 8 years old the first time i ever thought of suicide)

the Yankees won last night at home against Baltimore, 10-1. that clinches the AL East. they have a magic number of 2 for the best record in the American League. they start a series tonight at home against Pittsburgh.

the New York Rangers played at home last night against Boston. they won the preseason game, 5-2.

Big Brother was good last night. Leah was the first evicted. Angela was the second eviction. Makensy is the new HOH.

The Old Man was very good last night.
