it involved a dog, a serial killer, two beautiful women, a mindless fast food worker and a poet just trying to get by. i woke up at 7:45 thinking, what the fuck was that. i guess this is what happens when i get more than 5 hours of sleep.
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 3-2. they only had 4 hits, and Stanton had 3 of those. but, they are 1 win away from the ALCS. Gerrit Cole will be pitching tonight. hopefully, he gets the job done.
the New York Rangers won last night at Pittsburgh, 6-0. that was wonderful to watch and hopefully a good sign of the season to come.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.
Inside the NFL was very good last night.
both episodes of Grotesquerie were good last night.
Abbott Elementary was fucking hilarious last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and The Old Man.
i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between the 49ers and Seahawks.
i did get mom to the place to get her bloodwork done this afternoon. she, of course, wanted a frozen Coke after she got done. thankfully, there wasn't a line at McDonald's this time.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
the weather has been perfect for afternoon napping. i did get a little nap in. hopefully, that will continue tomorrow.
i hope everyone is ok after the latest hurricane. some of the videos look crazy as fuck.

i took my last weed gummy last night. i was really hoping i would get so damn high that i would end up sleeping around 10 hours. well, i did feel some effects from it, and i did slip off to a really good sleep. problem was, it only lasted for a little over 4 hours. well shit.
a big thank you to everyone that checked out my latest published poems:
so, the pain isn't exactly coming from my left shoulder, more coming from the neck it seems. makes it pretty difficult to do certain things when it is really flaming. when i got home from the grocery store, i put ice right on where it felt like the pain was coming from. i think i got the ice right on a nerve. this is why ice only works for me. it was an instant sensation of my body shutting off. i fear, i'll need that more and more as i get older. i have a doctor's appointment later this month. that might get interesting. i see the eye doctor tomorrow. that could get interesting as well.
grocery shopping went ok today. it took me a little longer to bag my groceries at Kroger. the cashier certainly didn't seem interested in helping me. at least the lady behind me was very patient. i did appreciate that.
the Yankees lost last night at Texas, 7-4. nothing like Clay Holmes blowing another fucking save by giving up a walk off grand slam. now, the guy that hit that grand slam got the hit i needed to win a same game parlay on Draftkings. what a world. the loss also knocked the Yankees out of first place in the AL East.
NXT was really good last night.
Hard Knocks was good last night. time for another NFL season to start.
Deadliest Catch was very good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite and Big Brother.
so, i am a big believer in evolution. i try to explain it as why we see everything done by people younger and younger. today was the latest example as a 14 year old is the latest school shooter. i fucking hate it more than anything that this shit is fucking common in this country. i hate it even more that the response from the republicans is to arm the teachers and put more guns in the situation. as i told my mother today, maybe when a 8 year old kills his classmates, this country will finally realize the gun problem we have. it obviously is going to take something so fucking shocking to wake us the fuck up.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get done with my appointment at the eye doctor.
i need to pick up all the trash tonight and get that out. i love how people forget around here that trash gets picked up a day later when there is a holiday.
i have no clue what i'm making for dinner tonight.
i'm off to go ice my neck down again. joy.

my back has felt pretty good today. problem is, i didn't sleep worth a shit last night. it almost felt like i was napping in 45 minute cycles. just fucking pointless. so, i didn't go to Menards like i wanted to. oh well.
the Yankees lost last night at home to the Angels, 9-4. they were supposed to start a series against the Rangers tonight at home but mother nature told them to fuck off. so, they will play another doubleheader tomorrow. joy.
Big Brother was good last night. Kenney was evicted. Angela is the new HOH. i expect a week of fucking chaos.
Don't Forget the Lyrics was good last night.
NJPW was good last night as well.
i was very saddened today to learn of the death of Kevin Sullivan. he was one of my favorite wrestlers of all-time. one of the most creative heels to ever work.
i think i had the Olympics on today while i was taking a nap.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and AEW Rampage. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
i will probably be on here in the morning, before the Yankees start their doubleheader. at least, that is the plan.
i know i need to get some writing done tonight...
i need to go figure out dinner, so that's all for me kids...

i definitely felt a difference when i went outside this morning. the heat is so much more enjoyable when the humidity isn't fucking stifling. hell, when we get back home from mom's physical therapy, i might turn off the air conditioning and open up the house some.
AEW Dynamite was good last night.
Big Brother 26 was good last night. the first 8 houseguests look interesting. hopefully, the next 8, that get introduced tonight, will be as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother 26 and NJPW.
don't miss out on the chance to win the book that i did with Casey Renee Kiser:
i will hopefully write some poems today while mom is doing her physical therapy.
well, it looks like the changes made to Manchester United's front office have certainly paid off so far...
the MLB season starts back up tomorrow, so i will be on here before the Yankees start a series at home against Tampa Bay.
one thing the ibuprofen has certainly done to me is force me to get more sleep. add that with some weed gummies and i think, although it is disjointed as hell, i have been getting more rest.
ok, i need to start getting ready.

the more i think of it, the more i have come to the conclusion that i am not of this earth. if asking for competence is too much for this world, i seriously need to just become a hermit and never leave the home again.
so, last week i was on Kroger's website and started the process of transferring my prescriptions from the Rite Aid in Brookville to Kroger. i called today to see what was up because none of my prescriptions were showing up at the Kroger website. the guy i was speaking to in the pharmacy told me that no transfers can be done on the website, you have to talk to a person to do that. so, instead of going the fuck off on him and asking why the fuck there is an option for it on the website if it doesn't fucking work, i told him i needed my prescriptions moved over since the Rite Aid in Brookville will be closing. mind you, i run out of Gabapentin by tomorrow. so yeah, i'm not fucking happy.
i popped in a weed gummy this afternoon and it started to hail. i could hear it banging on the roof. just great.
the Yankees pissed away a great comeback victory yesterday at Baltimore, losing 6-5. they are 1 game behind Baltimore in the AL East standings at the All Star break.
Euro 2024 yesterday was good. Spain defeated England, 2-1.
the Copa America was nuts last night. kickoff was delayed over 2 hours because the stadium wasn't expecting a ton of people with no tickets to actually try to get into the building. i suppose no one in America actually knows or dares to understand what happens at these events in South America. as for the game, Argentina defeated Colombia, 1-0 in extra time.
i did get to the bank today before the storms hit. i also went to Big Lots to see if they had any baseball cards. no luck at that one today.

on the DVR tonight will be Name That Tune and WWE Monday Night Raw.
a big thank you to everyone that has checked out my latest published poems:
i sort of had this blog planned in my mind and then of course, life gets in the way. i was sort of stunned when i got the news today that Bill Walton had died. the true definition of being one of one. rest in peace big man. thank you for all the laughs.
the New York Rangers won yesterday at Florida, 5-4, in OT. they are now up 2-1 in the series. Game 4 is Tuesday night.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday at San Diego, 5-2. they are off today and start a series tomorrow night at the Angels.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
The Chi was very good last night.
the finale of The Sympathizer was excellent last night.
the finale of The Jinx Part 2 was very interesting last night.

i'm sure i will watch some of the NBA and NHL playoffs tonight.
i did watch some of the Indy 500 and NASCAR race yesterday.

i think i fell asleep around 5 this morning. when i saw the clock and it said 8:30, i believe the first words were fuck that. i ended up waking up around 10. yesterday was a long one for me, but it was enjoyable for the most part.
here are your 3 videos for this day of national poetry month:
Manchester United and Bournemouth played to a 2-2 draw yesterday. at this point, i really couldn't care less. the only thing United has a chance to win is the FA Cup. i have little hope they are going to finish high enough in the Premier League to be in the Champions League next season, or even the Europa League.
the New York Rangers won yesterday at home against the Islanders, 3-2, in a shootout. that gives the Rangers 54 wins on the season, the most in franchise history. if they win on Monday at home against Ottawa, they will win the President's Trophy and be the number one overall seed in the playoffs.
the Yankees won both games of the doubleheader yesterday at Cleveland. they won Game 1, 3-2. they won Game 2, 8-2. hopefully, they will get the sweep this afternoon.
AEW Collision and AEW Battle of the Belts were pretty good last night.
Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.
i did watch the college hockey finals yesterday:

well, the final day of 2023 is finally upon us. i am so ready for this year to be over. don't get me wrong, i think i did make some great strides with my writing in 2023, but i am at the point of my life now where i get no comfort out of looking back.
Manchester United lost yesterday at Nottingham Forest, 2-1. i really hope 2024 will be better for this team. hopefully, with new people running the team, it will be.
the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at home over Longwood, 78-69. now it is time for A-10 play.
the New York Rangers won last night at Tampa Bay, 5-1.
the NFL game last night was crazy. Dallas won over Detroit, 20-19, thanks to the officials.
the USA defeated Slovakia this morning at the World Juniors, 10-2, to win Group B.

if you are going out tonight, be safe. have fun.
i do hope that all of you had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
