sunshine, welcome back...

the wind blew so damn hard last night that when i woke up this morning, everything looked dry outside. thankfully, if it ever did snow, i never saw it. i think we easily got close to 2 inches of rain yesterday.

the college basketball games last night were excellent. hopefully, the two games today, Auburn vs. Kentucky and Michigan St. vs. Duke will be as good.

Saturday Night Live was pretty good last night.

ROH was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the finale of The Case Against Adnan Syed, Barry, Veep, Last Week Tonight, Billions, and the finales of Black Monday and SMILF.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon at Philadelphia. neither team is making the playoffs, so i expect a feisty game today.

the New York Yankees will try to win the series against the Orioles this afternoon.

i'll probably be flipping between those two games before the college basketball games start this afternoon.

i'll be on here tomorrow early, at least before i take mom to her doctor's appointment. she wants to go out to eat after that, so i know i won't be home until way later than i want the blog to go out. next week is crazy, to say the least. she has 3 doctor's appointments and i have to take her to her accountant on Friday to get the taxes done. i don't even want to think about all the shit i have going on on Friday until it gets here.

hard to believe this is the last day of March. time flies when the end approaches.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

until tomorrow kids...

on little sleep, and no end to the rain in sight...

i was in bed last night and i could hear the rain pounding the house. i remember when i was younger, that noise would settle my mind and put me to sleep. those days are never coming back, at least not without the help of something illicit. i ached all fucking night and fucking day so far. whenever this rain fucking stops, it's supposed to do so with snow. great.

when the New York Rangers gave up the first two goals last night to the Blues, i figured that was that. instead, the Rangers scored the next 4 goals to defeat the Blues 4-2. considering the Blues only needed a point from the game to qualify for the playoffs, i was really impressed by the Rangers. in the grand scheme of things, that could go down as one of those wins where you saw the building blocks of the future finally come into formation.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was really good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

the college basketball games last night were much better than the night before.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH. i do plan on watching most of the Elite 8 games tonight, Texas Tech vs. Gonzaga and Purdue vs. Virginia.

i did watch Manchester United this morning play Watford. United did not play well at all, yet still got all 3 points in the 2-1 victory.

the New York Yankees pissed away chance after chance today against the Orioles. they did show some fight in the bottom of the 9th, but like most of the game, that rally came up short. the Yankees lost, 5-3. they play again tomorrow afternoon. hopefully they can win the series.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before the Yankees play.

i really hope everyone had or is having a great Saturday. hopefully, it's not fucking raining cats and dogs where you are.

just enough rain to be miserable...

i saw the woman that works at the post office in town at the grocery store today. if she only knew how many times she has appeared in my dirty dreams...

i did pretty well at the grocery stores today. the goal is to keep everything under $100. when it shakes out at $115 and mom had you buy some stuff that isn't what she normally needs, i take it as a win.

the New York Yankees won yesterday over the Orioles, 7-2. Luke Voit is well on his way to becoming a legend and with everyone else in the division losing, the Yankees are in first place. the series continues with games on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

i did watch the college basketball games last night. other than the Purdue and Tennessee classic, the rest of the games weren't that watchable. hopefully the games tonight are better.

Will & Grace was really good last night.

Better Things was excellent last night.

Desus & Mero was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll probably be watching college basketball for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against the Blues. you know the plan boys, Lose for Hughes.

unless i get up crazy early tomorrow morning, i'll be on here after Manchester United plays in the morning.

the Yankees play around 1 in the afternoon tomorrow, so i will probably be on here after that is over. of course, it's supposed to be raining cats and dogs tomorrow, so who knows.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully your weather is better in your neck of the woods.

opening day

today is opening day for baseball. in my mind, that is when Spring really begins. hopefully, this is the year the New York Yankees win another World Series. they start the season against Baltimore. i'd love to see the Yankees get off to a great start this season.

the New York Rangers lost in Boston last night, 6-3. that was pretty much what i was expecting.

NXT was really good last night.

NXT UK was really good as well.

What We Do in the Shadows was even better than i was expecting last night.

Drop the Mic was pretty good last night.

You're The Worst was great last night. the final episode of the series is next week. i'm going to really, really miss this show when it is gone.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Will & Grace, Better Things and Desus & Mero.

i did listen to episode 231 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/srwrestling/katie-linendoll-notsam

i'll probably watch a good portion of the Sweet Sixteen basketball games tonight.

Manchester United made it official today. Ole will be at the wheel for at least the next 3 seasons.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i go to the grocery store.

that's all for me today kids. i'm off to the living room to get ready to watch the Yankees play.

i hope everyone has a great day.

i'd give my left arm for a good night of sleep...

i thought i was being a good boy last night, i got in bed before 2:30 in the morning. of course, the first time i saw the clock, it was 5:30. then i saw it again at 6:15. again at 7:20 and finally at 9:15, i decided, fuck it, and got out of bed. it was like a series of shitty naps. and my dreams consist of all my old girlfriends laughing at me. good times.

Smackdown was really good last night. i feel sorry for the women in WWE not named Becky, Charlotte, Ronda, Sasha or Bailey. i have no damn clue why they took the women's title off of Asuka last night and put it on Charlotte. while it makes the main event of WrestleMania that more interesting, Asuka is easily one of the best females on the roster. i did love the tag team gauntlet as the way for Kofi to get his match at WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan.

205 Live was pretty good last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.

i was not surprised when i saw the news yesterday that Jordan Davis has decided to transfer from the University of Dayton. i think he saw the writing on the wall as much as the fans did. i really hope he finds the best school for him for his final two years of college.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, You're the Worst, Drop the Mic and What We Do in the Shadows. i'll watch NXT and NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did watch most of the USMNT vs. Chile last night. i thought the USA did well to get a 1-1 draw with a team that was clearly more cohesive than theirs. i think once the coach can decide on a lineup, the USA will only get better.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Boston. lose for Hughes boys.

i'm going to try to be on here before the New York Yankees have their season opener against Baltimore tomorrow. so, if that happens, i'll be on here in the morning. if not, i'll be on here after the game is over.

that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

so i got some bad news today...

i was hoping for the best today at my doctor's appointment. sadly, that wasn't what happened. i guess my A1C skyrocketed here in the last 6 months. it's still at a range where they aren't worried (7.0) but considering 6 months ago it was 5.4, i'm a little pissed. i also had to get 2 vaccines today, which i didn't mind. i go back in a month to get the second round of the Hepatitis B vaccine; 3 months to get my A1C checked again. a 30 minute visit turned into 90 minutes. joy. mom thinks my drinking has something to do with the A1C going up. if that's the case, here's where i become the non-compliant patient.

so you might have seen all the good news with my poetry in the posts earlier today. here's the flip side. i heard back from Katie at Glintmoon on my recent poetry submission. despite enjoying what i sent, they decided to pass on the poems. that slightly pisses me off, especially since it's one of the few places i have found that actually pays. well, there's 5 more for the unpublished file.

The Voice was really good last night. it was the first night of the battle rounds.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. you can definitely tell WrestleMania is getting closer...

i did watch One Nation Under Stress last night. boy, that hit fucking home. if you live in the Midwest, the whole hour or so you could only shake your head and know exactly what the fuck they were talking about.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the USMNT plays tonight against Chile. this should be their toughest test yet under their new coach.

the New York Rangers scored the first 2 goals last night against Pittsburgh. sadly, the Penguins scored the next 5 to win 5-2.

the New York Yankees lost last night against the Nationals, 5-3. they start their season at home on Thursday against the Orioles.

i've got the trash all picked up and out to the curb, so now i just need to figure out what is for dinner.

i'll probably be on here in the afternoon tomorrow, most likely.

hope everyone is doing well.

the rain has finally ended...

it started raining yesterday in the evening and didn't stop until 2 this afternoon. needless to say, i didn't sleep worth a fuck last night. thankfully, i did get to sleep about 3 hours earlier than i had been. of course, i still didn't sleep more than 5 hours.

i had to go to the grocery store today to pick up some prescriptions. at least it was a boring trip.

i did watch a few hours of the basketball games yesterday. i was totally hoping Duke was going to lose.

the season finale of Total Bellas last night was pretty good.

The Case Against Adnan Syed last night was really good. it brought up the one thing that i absolutely hate about the justice system in this county. the job of the prosecutor is to get justice. too many times it turns into all about wins and losses. that's not justice, that's a motherfucker trying to make sure they keep getting a pay raise.

Billions was excellent last night.

Black Monday was hilarious last night. can't wait for the finale next week.

i know what SMILF was trying to do last night, but honestly, it was awful. the series finale next week is long overdue now.

the New York Yankees won yesterday against the Twins. they are playing at the Nationals tonight for the final spring training game. the season opens on Thursday.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and One Nation Under Stress. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Pittsburgh. all the Rangers can do the rest of the season is play spoiler or lose to try to improve their draft odds of getting a good pick. i'll probably watch a little of the game.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow after my trip to the doctor. hard to believe it's been six months.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i feel like a cat that forgets to take naps...

i suppose i'm at the stage of life where alcohol actually fuels me. i had a couple victory drinks last night and a shot of Karate Cowboy for shits and giggles and i didn't fall asleep until well after 5 in the morning.

ROH was really good last night.

none of the college basketball games were really close last night, so hopefully there will be some close games and upsets today.

it figures, the New York Rangers would win in Toronto last night, 2-1 in OT, on the night they were officially eliminated from playoff contention.

here are some of the highlights from Trotwood Madison winning their first state championship in basketball from yesterday. they became the first team EVER in the state of Ohio to score over 3,000 points in a season.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Total Bellas, The Case Against Adnan Syed, Billions, Black Monday and SMILF.

i think the rain is supposed to be here in a few hours, so i'm going to go ahead and get some ice on my back now.

the New York Yankees are playing their last game in Florida for spring training today. they are playing the Twins. i can't believe opening day is just a few days away.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon.

squeezing the seconds together and making good time...

i got a wild hair up my ass last night and decided to get a little poetry work done. that continued into this afternoon, as i sent out 18 poems today. 3 to Chiron Review and 5 each to Duane's PoeTree, Glintmoon and Parhelion Literary Magazine. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was really good last night.

i did watch a few of the NCAA tournament games last night. and a little bit so far today.

i'll be typing the rest of this blog with tears in my eyes...
https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/trotwood-madison-rallies-late-win-first-state-boys-basketball-title/GO5Yu3EzXHU1x5tfyr0aHO/

enjoy some music:

the New York Yankees won yesterday over the Phillies, 6-3. today they lost to Toronto 7-3. hard to believe opening day will be here soon.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Toronto. Lose for Hughes boys.

i'll probably watch some more of the NCAA tournament tonight as well.

it would be nice if i could actually get to bed before 4 in the morning for a change. the problem i am having is my fucking brain won't shut off. and i'm running out of tricks to exhaust it.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow early afternoon, at least that's the plan. i know it's supposed to rain tomorrow evening, so i guess i should get on here before the misery begins.

when life gets overwhelming...

buy some weird liquor and just move on. i was thinking about what to get in the liquor store today. i needed some vodka and already had that in hand. i then came across a bottle Karate Cowboy and thought, fuck it, why not. when i start buying liquor i have never had before, you might think i'm expanding my horizons. i'm not. i'm simply planning on the end.

the grocery store was fucking nuts today. i saw one of the most beautiful women i have ever seen in my life today. of course, she had a rock on her finger that could have blinded the fucking sun. i believe she caught me staring. i didn't even get the polite smile and fuck off look from her. between gas, the two grocery stores and the liquor, i probably dropped $250 today. thank god my credit is good.

i wanted to get this blog done way earlier, but as you can see, that didn't happen. my insomnia is now keeping me up until 5 in the morning. i can't go more than 30 minutes without checking my emails and there is another 100 there waiting for me. and when you try to make a little money doing online surveys and shit... i'll be dead before i hit 50. oh well.

the NCAA tournament has been pretty good so far. it's much easier to watch the games when you don't have anything riding on them.

Will & Grace was hilarious last night.

Gotham was fucking great last night. now i have to wait a month for the final two episodes. damn you FOX.

Better Things was really fucking good last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll probably watch some of the college basketball games tonight as well.

the New York Yankees are playing the Phillies tonight.

the USMNT defeated Ecuador 1-0 last night.

the high school i went to will be playing for the state championship in basketball tomorrow afternoon. hopefully, they can win their first title.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow in the morning. at least that's what i am aiming for. if i have another night where i can't fucking sleep until the sun is coming up, i might just decide to drink myself into oblivion and write the blog whenever.

on that sunny note, i hope everyone has a great weekend.

a cruel sense of humor...

so i wrote in the blog yesterday about how no one said much to me the day before at the First Four. funny how life works. i brought along some gum. i have found that chewing gum tends to keep my mind from wandering into the darkness. at the very least, it slows down the pace of getting there i suppose. so, i got to the game and was sitting down, watching the players warm up, looking at the fans, etc. (as a poet, people watching is a necessity) when this woman from the section next to me came up and puts her hand on my shoulder. my first thought was who the fuck do you think you are? of course, i didn't verbalize that thought. she said i want you to keep it down over here. i saw you last night and you were just too rowdy. she said it in a way that i knew she was sarcastic or already drunk, i just sort of chuckled and went back to what i was doing. about 20 minutes later, a gay guy said hello to me. i figured by now, god and her cruel sense of humor was having fun. as for the games, North Dakota State, which had maybe half of the population of the state at the game, along with the school president, defeated NC Central, 78-74. i felt so bad for NC Central. they dug out of big hole, got the lead and then couldn't make a shot to save their lives down the stretch. that's the 3rd straight year they have lost at the First Four. in the second game, Arizona State and St. John's might have set basketball back 30 years with that one. so many fucking mistakes, horrible shot selection, it was like everyone was playing a video game version of the sport. Arizona State won, 74-65. i didn't get home until a quarter after midnight. i was going to leave early in the second half, setting the mark in my head that if St. John's didn't cut the lead to single digits by the first TV timeout, i was gone. sure enough, the fuckers cut the lead to 9. fuck. and to top everything off, it started to rain on the drive home. joy.

mom had everything ready when i got home. i was slightly surprised she was still awake.

NXT was excellent last night. i absolutely can't wait for the championship match at Takeover New York. Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano, 2 out of 3 falls. i'll go ahead and say it, match of the year by a mile.

NXT UK was excellent yesterday as well. i can't wait for Pete Dunne vs. Walter for the NXT UK title at Takeover New York.

You're the Worst was really good last night.

Drop the Mic was hilarious last night.

i've watched a little college basketball today. i've been flipping through the games, hoping for some upsets. Auburn just survived one.

the New York Yankees ended up losing yesterday to Houston, 2-1. they are getting destroyed by the Cardinals so far today. they went over a week without a loss. i can live with that if that is how the regular season is going to go.

the USMNT play a friendly tonight against Ecuador. i'll probably watch a little of that.

i'll probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

i hope everyone has a great rest of the day.

two really good basketball games and a lonely soul...

the First Four games last night were excellent. Fairleigh Dickson came from behind to defeat Prairie View A&M, 82-76. in the second game, Belmont defeated Temple, 81-70. both games were very entertaining. sadly, my seat is the first one in the row, so i spent most of the night getting up for people coming in and out. i also had my depression sneak into me last night. i was sitting there watching the game, watching all these fuckers on their phones, etc. i started talking to myself underneath my breath, noticing all these guys with their wives and girlfriends and how i was there alone. i'm not sure anyone spoke more than 5 words to me all night. it's the classic i've never felt more alone than in a crowd of people. but it's when the thoughts turn a little darker, the mind starts to really take a deep dive into this bleak life i have. and it's not that i think it's getting harder to repel the thoughts of suicide, it's that i don't have any hope they are going to go away soon. they never warn you while growing up that being a loner and being independent is so much harder than it looks on television.

tonight will be NC Central vs. North Dakota State and St. John's vs. Arizona State.

the Dayton Flyers lost last night at Colorado, 78-73. yet again, another night where i have no fucking clue what the head coach was fucking thinking. you leave your best player on the bench for 8 minutes in the second half, all because he picked up his 3rd foul. fucking stupid. and then, the players don't know when to foul, who to foul, etc. i know Colorado is a good free throw shooting team, but you might want to give yourself a chance to win. and after the game it was the usual, wait till next year. and with the coach saying all the strides made this year are going to make next year so good, etc., i hope that means when it doesn't happen, everyone at the school understands the mistake made by hiring Anthony Grant in the first place.

the New York Rangers lost to Detroit last night, 3-2. 5 losses in a row now. lose for Hughes boys.

i got home last night at midnight. mom and i talked for the last 3 days about the plans for food, etc. with these games. the plan was she was going to have some burgers ready for when i got home since she was going to be watching the games as well. she talked about making some bacon to go with the cheeseburgers and having some extra then for her breakfast in the morning. i watched her write all this down so she wouldn't forget it. sure enough, i got home and she had forgotten everything. this is why i fear leaving her alone at all anymore. it's next to impossible for me to enjoy my life when i know i am responsible for her. i always get the feeling i'm going to come home one day and she's going to be on the ground because she fell or her thoughts of suicide have won the battle. joy.

Smackdown was good last night, right up to the point where Vince fucked Kofi Kingston again. the payoff to this story better be fucking great, that's all i'm saying.

205 Live was really good last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, You're The Worst and Drop the Mic. i'll watch NXT and NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i have a splitting headache at the moment. i guess there's a chance of rain tonight.

the New York Yankees won yesterday. they are leading the Astros so far today. i think they have the best record in the majors this spring. of course, that doesn't mean much once the regular season starts.

i'll probably be on here in the afternoon tomorrow. the NCAA tournament games will be on all day and night long, so i'll squeeze a blog in probably during the early games.

hope everyone has a great Wednesday.
