the Yankees start their season today at home against the Brewers. other than the ton of injuries they had during spring training, i'm hoping the Yankees get off to a good start this season.

opening day...

i feel the rain coming...
i suppose i got lucky today that it didn't rain. judging from the forecast, that luck will run the fuck out soon. add on that the tv in the living room is starting to die. good times.
grocery shopping was a little hectic today but i did manage to keep everything under $150. i think that was a good job considering all that was on the grocery list this morning was extra virgin olive oil. that was fun trying to think and shop at the same time.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against Philadelphia, 6-5 in OT. the Rangers are the first team in the NHL this season to qualify for the playoffs.

at least the snow isn't piling up...
so, when i got up this morning and got the paper, it was snowing. i laughed. i had on a jacket and was wearing shorts. i'm sure my neighbors think i'm fucking crazy. good.
i'm doing my laundry today. i figure i better get it done now, while i have the time.
my trip to Big Lots yesterday was a little fruitful. i pulled an autograph out of one of the three basketball card packs i got. they didn't have the coffee i was looking for, but i did find a cherry drink i hadn't seen before. with my coupon i spent a little over $30. the worth of the cards was over $75. i'm cool with that.
i did watch some of the college basketball games yesterday. by tonight, the Final 4 will be set.

i'm used to the misery...
i took mom to pick up her taxes today. i asked her if she wanted to go grocery shopping after that. i was sort of shocked when she said yes. we got everything at the local grocery store. thank fucking god we still have toilet paper. there isn't a damn store around here that has any. when we came out of the store, the rain had started back up. joy.
NXT UK was really good last night.
it took 9 episodes, but Indebted was finally fucking hilarious last night.
Better Things was really good last night.
Cake was funny as always last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, High Maintenance and the season finale of The Trade. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
a little FYI for everyone, all the music you will see today in the music section, i have got for FREE by going here: https://www.pastemagazine.com/noisetrade/music/
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. it will probably be early since i'm not expecting to be able to sleep worth a fuck tonight.
i hope everyone has a great, safe, healthy weekend.
until tomorrow kids...

i'd give my left arm for a good night of sleep...
Smackdown was really good last night. i feel sorry for the women in WWE not named Becky, Charlotte, Ronda, Sasha or Bailey. i have no damn clue why they took the women's title off of Asuka last night and put it on Charlotte. while it makes the main event of WrestleMania that more interesting, Asuka is easily one of the best females on the roster. i did love the tag team gauntlet as the way for Kofi to get his match at WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan.
205 Live was pretty good last night.
The Jim Jefferies Show was fucking hilarious last night.
i was not surprised when i saw the news yesterday that Jordan Davis has decided to transfer from the University of Dayton. i think he saw the writing on the wall as much as the fans did. i really hope he finds the best school for him for his final two years of college.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, You're the Worst, Drop the Mic and What We Do in the Shadows. i'll watch NXT and NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i did watch most of the USMNT vs. Chile last night. i thought the USA did well to get a 1-1 draw with a team that was clearly more cohesive than theirs. i think once the coach can decide on a lineup, the USA will only get better.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Boston. lose for Hughes boys.
i'm going to try to be on here before the New York Yankees have their season opener against Baltimore tomorrow. so, if that happens, i'll be on here in the morning. if not, i'll be on here after the game is over.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

yet another rainy day; hello pain, it's me again...
mom has been able to get around more and more without her cane. she's really making some progress. i'm trying not to be too worrisome and end up holding her back in any regard. but, i do get a little nervous when she gets a bit wobbly. the last thing i want to see is her fall again and have to get another hip replacement.
while she was in physical therapy, i wrote 14 poems. that gives me 44 for the month, i do believe. i'll type these up tonight while i've got the television on in the background.
after her physical therapy, we went to a late lunch. i might have actually enjoyed it more if i wasn't in so much pain from the fucking rain. i joked with my mother that if i ever start making real money, i could actually afford the good shit that would take the pain away. she laughed and said the shit that will end up killing you. i laughed and said like i haven't already had those dreams.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
The Voice was pretty good last night as well.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Washington 4-2. they play at Washington tomorrow night.
the New York Yankees won last night at Atlanta 5-1. i did get to see the mammoth home run Stanton hit. i have a feeling this is going to be a fun season.
The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling was excellent last night. i can't wait to see part 2 tonight. Garry was a big comedic influence on my sense of humor, especially when i was growing up.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Baskets, Hate Thy Neighbor, The Voice, The Chris Gethard Show, The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling and The Jim Jefferies Show. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
team USA men's national team plays a soccer friendly tonight at home against Parguay. i'm hoping a bunch of the kids get to play and i'd love to see them play well enough to win. i won't be holding my breath though.
i don't know when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know i have to take mom to get her taxes done in the afternoon.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

hello stress, my name is...
the New York Rangers lost last night in Anaheim 6-3. i think they still need 2 points to clinch a damn playoff spot. The King looked a little rusty but i am fully confident he'll shake that off before the playoffs begin. they play again tomorrow night in San Jose.
Big Little Lies was excellent last night. the finale next week should be amazing.
Girls last night was really good.
Crashing was pretty damn funny last night.
Homeland was really fucking good last night.
Billions was awesome last night. the ending was damn near perfect.
Feud: Bette and Joan was great last night as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and Rock and a Hard Place. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i did watch the Archie Miller press conference today. i suppose it's closure. i have no doubt he'll do a great job at Indiana. i'm now more focused on who the fuck is Dayton going to hire to replace him.
my bones are starting to ache, so i'm guessing it's going to rain tonight.
i have no clue what time i'll be on here tomorrow as i have someplace to drive mom everyday the rest of this week.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

too busy trying to climb down from my own cross
as you might imagine, i was busy writing this morning. the brain is in full flow at the moment. i wrote 3 poems this morning and typed them up as well. 2 of them are holy shit good. once i hear back from the queries i sent out this morning, i will get the next round of submissions ready.
the miracle i needed in fantasy hockey last night didn't happen. so, i'm 99% sure i will lose in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in 5 years later on tonight. good times.
with the Kansas loss last night, i only have 1 team left in my main bracket. come on North Carolina.
ROH was great last night. i really like where they are going at the moment.
the New York Rangers beat Montreal last night 5-2. hopefully they have the good mojo going at the moment as they will play against Pittsburgh tonight. that could be a little preview of the first round of the playoffs as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl. Girls, Togetherness, Shameless and Billions.
i will probably watch some of the college basketball games tonight while watching the hockey game.
we ordered a couple pizzas last night and of course got the wrong order. the place that my sister likes is too far away to go back, so we just ate it. i'm paying for all the green olives this morning. good times.
i guess my love for electronic music is now full blown with my Soundcloud account. i've really come across some interesting people in just a few days.
i might air out the house today while everyone is next door. it's supposed to be really nice.
that's all for me kids. i hope your Easter Sunday is better than your Saturday was.

trying to keep busy
if Dayton can beat Stanford tonight and make the Elite 8, i will be unbelievably happy and stunned at the same time. we're the only school left that is basically a small school. every other school left has a football program that brings in millions upon millions each year. the only sport that makes money at Dayton is men's basketball. all that money has to pay for everything else. so, tonight is a big fucking deal to say the least. but, i am a realist. any win from this point on is gravy. i didn't expect them to get this far, so i'm not going to pretend to be shocked if they lose. but that doesn't mean i won't party my ass off if they win.
and to get everyone else in the mood, enjoy the Flyer Pep Band:
the New York Rangers won their fifth in a row last night, beating Philly 3-1. they own that team at MSG. hopefully that will continue if they meet in the playoffs.
i did watch most of Duck Dynasty last night. when i saw the wrestling ring being built for the family reunion, i paid a little more attention. must be nice to have money. Legit was really fucking funny last night. i had Ali G on while i was going through my email. lately, the show is more background noise for me than actual humor. maybe i'm just older now.
after the game tonight, i will either be drunk or really bummed. regardless, i'm going to try to get some writing done. and i should probably get some sleep as i do have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.
i hope this finds everyone well. i will be on here late in the afternoon tomorrow. at least that is what the plan is.
peace and chicken grease bitches...
