the days where i could just kill

if there is one damn thing i hate the most about living in suburbia, it's this god damn constant need to keep the grass looking cut at all fucking times. i could have killed my cousin's husband this morning for mowing the fucking grass as my mother was sleeping. but, he's trying to stay in a will, so i know the intent. every 3 to 5 fucking days, someone has their mower out. doesn't matter if the grass hasn't grown. doesn't matter if it's not supposed to rain for a week. i told mom, if i truly was crazy, all these motherfuckers would be dead.

Ohio State struggled for a good portion of the game yesterday against Indiana. the wind didn't help matters either. but, you wouldn't know any of that by the final score. Ohio State won 38-17.

my sister came down yesterday and stayed a lot longer than i thought she was going to. i'm happy that her and mom got to talk and hopefully my sister realizes just how much pain mom is actually in.

there was some truly crazy college football games yesterday. i did see some of Navy's upset of Houston, the craziness of Tennessee and Texas A&M and Florida State vs. Miami. another good week to say the least.

ROH was excellent last night. i can't wait for Adam Cole to eventually make it to the big time and be an even bigger star.

Saturday Night Live was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Westworld, Divorce, Insecure, Last Week Tonight, Shameless, Masters of Sex and The Strain. i'll be watching WWE No Mercy for most of the evening.

the New Orleans Saints have a bye this week. so i figure today is a good day to do my laundry and it looks like i have to go to the store to pick up some pills for my mother. good times.

i may have some good news to share about the poems i sent to Tuck Magazine. check back in about four weeks.

my fantasy hockey draft was this morning. other than having too many goalies, i think my team is pretty damn good. of course, i thought the same thing about football as well.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

another long day

i knew i wanted to get the grocery shopping done before the storms come tonight. but, i had no clue mom was going to hand me a scroll of items to go get. amazingly, i did manage to keep it under $100 (thanks to some coupons). i didn't take much time to enjoy the scenery today at the store. it's too damn hot and humid today. i wouldn't be shocked if we don't have some strong storms tonight.

the New York Yankees won yesterday 5-0 over Seattle. a great outing from Tanaka and Gary Sanchez went deep again. he even got walked intentionally twice later in the game. looks like someone is going to be a star. the Yankees are off today and start a series at home against Baltimore tomorrow.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i think Victor will get voted out tonight and then either him or Paulie will walk right back into the house when the jury come back competition happens tonight. it should be interesting.

Tyrant was great last night. the old adage is always true: absolute power always corrupts.

NXT was mostly some highlights from Takeover Brooklyn II and the two dark matches before the event. it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.

the CWC was spectacular last night. all 3 matches were great. they are now down to the final 8. i don't think there will be a less than fucking awesome match from here on out. Tozawa vs. Gran Metalik, Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Noam Dar, Brian Kendrick vs. Kota Ibushi and TJ Perkins vs. Rich Swann. 4 amazing matches. i can't wait.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll.

i urge everyone to check out the latest episode of the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast. you can find it by going here: http://notsam.com/wrestlingpodcast/2016/8/25/wrestling-podcast-96-kevin-owens-live-in-nyc

well, i got my fantasy football shit all lined up this morning. i even got some early fantasy hockey shit going.

the birthday gift i got my sister should be here in the next couple of days. i think she's going to like it.

i saw this today and thought it was rather appropriate:

i saw the New York Rangers made a very smart depth move today, signing Brandon Pirri. yet another guy with something to prove with plenty of speed. that's one thing they shouldn't lack this season, if they stay healthy. they have speed on every line now.

that's all for me kids. i really need to take a shower. i've been up since before 7 this morning as mom had an early appointment at the chiropractor's office.

until we meet again.

i wish the weather would make up its mind

we had some pretty strong storms roll through here last night. thankfully, my sister had already made the drive back home and none of the shit i put up this weekend got knocked down. sadly, it's back to being fucking cold again.

the New York Rangers lost in OT last night to the fucking Penguins. they wasted 2 goals from Eric Staal in the 3-2 loss. i figure if they end up playing them in the playoffs again, it will be another string of long, long nights.

my fantasy hockey miracle never came and i got routed 8-2. i'm now in the 3rd place game. this will be my worst finish in 5 years, when i finished 6th. i'm not a happy camper.

the storms knocked out the satellite last night for a few minutes. that screwed up my DVR a little. it just meant i had to stay up later to see everything.

Vinyl was great last night. Girls was pretty funny. Togetherness was hilarious. i'm pretty pissed that they are cancelling the show after this season. Shameless was fucking brilliant and should have another holy shit season ending episode next week. Billions was really good last night.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Gotham. i will be watching Monday Night Raw and some shit on WWE Network tonight as this is the start of WrestleMania week.

check out the latest episode of Sam & Cathy:

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade yesterday. i'll post the links down in the music section.

thankfully, North Carolina won last night, so my main NCAA bracket is still alive.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great weekend. i guarantee you it was better than mine, as i spent a good portion of it on the toilet. and yes, there will be poems.

too busy trying to climb down from my own cross

my relationship with religion anymore doesn't exist. i think i have reached that stage in life where i've simply gone through too much shit to actually believe a higher power truly loves me. now, maybe that will change or maybe i will just get more bitter with age. i have no clue. i live each day for what it is, nothing more. the future to me at this moment is merely a concept, nothing i can wrap my arms around and embrace as something i can look forward to.

as you might imagine, i was busy writing this morning. the brain is in full flow at the moment. i wrote 3 poems this morning and typed them up as well. 2 of them are holy shit good. once i hear back from the queries i sent out this morning, i will get the next round of submissions ready.

the miracle i needed in fantasy hockey last night didn't happen. so, i'm 99% sure i will lose in the first round of the playoffs for the first time in 5 years later on tonight. good times.

with the Kansas loss last night, i only have 1 team left in my main bracket. come on North Carolina.

ROH was great last night. i really like where they are going at the moment.

the New York Rangers beat Montreal last night 5-2. hopefully they have the good mojo going at the moment as they will play against Pittsburgh tonight. that could be a little preview of the first round of the playoffs as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vinyl. Girls, Togetherness, Shameless and Billions.

i will probably watch some of the college basketball games tonight while watching the hockey game.

we ordered a couple pizzas last night and of course got the wrong order. the place that my sister likes is too far away to go back, so we just ate it. i'm paying for all the green olives this morning. good times.

i guess my love for electronic music is now full blown with my Soundcloud account. i've really come across some interesting people in just a few days.

i might air out the house today while everyone is next door. it's supposed to be really nice.

that's all for me kids. i hope your Easter Sunday is better than your Saturday was.

finally got out of the house

mom and i knew it was going to be a clusterfuck going shopping on good Friday, but so be it. we were out for over 4 hours. she was beyond tired and my feet were killing me. but, we got a ton of shit we needed. after we got gas and went to lunch, we hit up Menards. we haven't been in a few weeks so i definitely needed to get some shit for the birds. i got some different feeders that will hopefully piss of the squirrels. but, they didn't have the suet i needed. so, we went to Meijer to find that. thankfully, they had some. mom found some shit she wanted to get for Easter that was on sale. that made her happy. after that, we hit the grocery store. amazingly, we must have hit at the exact right time as we were able to just about get everything we needed and be out of there in a little over 60 minutes. that included standing in line to get pills. that gave me enough time to actually get some shit done outside before the sun went down once we got back home. hopefully, the bamboo wind chimes will make enough noise to drive the neighborhood nuts. all in all, a tiring but well worth it kind of day.

WWE Smackdown was very good last night. i'm really liking how WrestleMania is shaping up this year. it should be a good one.

the season finale of Baskets had a little bit of everything in it. the ending reminded me of what i wanted to do in my teens. just hop a damn train and see where i ended up. i guess i still have time to do that.

i got 3 of the 4 college basketball games right last night. i guess that makes up for my fantasy hockey team shitting the bed. how i come back from the deficit i am in in just 3 days is beyond me. well, i guess that would stop my streak of finishing in 2nd place for the last 4 years.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and VICE.

my sister won't be down until tomorrow. i guess work is keeping her longer than she expected. well, at least i know what i'll be listening to her bitch about all weekend.

i got done outside just in time to see the USA U-23 squad get a 1-1 draw on the road with Colombia in Olympic qualifying. that road goal should be HUGE for the second leg down in Texas.

i will be watching the USA take on Guatemala tonight in World Cup Qualifying. hopefully they feel like getting a road win tonight.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'm guessing late morning/early afternoon, but i have no clue if any "family" shit is planned for this weekend.

for those of you celebrating Good Friday and Easter and all that, enjoy. for the rest of us, i hope you get some good candy.

why i quit betting on sports

so i was sitting there watching the Dayton Flyers beat the living shit out of Saint Louis last night hoping that no one took my betting advice. i was stunned at how poorly Saint Louis played, especially since they were coming off of three games where they had averaged over 80 points a game. but, it also makes me think how great Dayton's defense was last night. before the game, the Saint Louis coach said that Dayton has the talent to reach the Final Four. hopefully that's one thing that asshole will be right about. Dayton destroyed Saint Louis last night 73-37.

we went to Waffle House after the game. there was this hot blonde that was there with i'm assuming was her husband and child. there's something about a woman with short hair and glasses that drives me wild. it was the usual visit right up until the blonde and others left. the child put some money in the jukebox. the song that started playing was "What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones. i laughed and told my mother that's some of Tom's best work. she wanted to know who the fuck chose that one. i told her the kid must have got excited when saw the word pussy.

after i got home, i immediately turned on Lucha Underground. the first season was amazing and to be honest, season two started out on fire. a couple of title matches, with some great storytelling. thank god this is back in my life every Wednesday again.

after that, i watched NXT. another great episode. and after reading the spoilers from the taping they had last night, i'm going to be enjoying the NXT shows right through March.

it's always a pleasure to wake up to poems being accepted. that makes up for having well over 100 emails to go through since you decided you'd like to get more than 3 hours of sleep.

enjoy some music kids:

now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle, WWE Smackdown, Baskets and god knows what else. i think most of the shows are reruns.

i have made up some serious ground in fantasy hockey. going from last place to being 20 games over .500 in under a month is just short of a miracle. i'm in second place in my division, which is much better than i thought i would be at the All-Star break.

i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays Derby County in the 4th round of the FA Cup. hopefully i will be in a good mood.

oh how i missed you crown royal

i dropped the ball last night. i completely forgot that American Horror Story was on. thankfully, my DVR didn't forget. talk about a stunning episode to set up the finale. i was on the edge of my chair the entire episode. i can't wait for the finale.

the Dayton Flyers were without one of their key players last night. i guess Kendall Pollard strained his Achilles the day before and they were being extra cautious with him, as he sat on the bench in a walking boot. it was his 21st birthday as well. last year, this would have meant doom for the Flyers. this year, oh well. Dayton destroyed UMass 93-63. Dayton had 6 players score in double figures and were able to rest their starters for much of the second half. it was so nice to finally see a blowout. Dayton next plays on Saturday at La Salle.

we went to Waffle House after the game. we were the only ones there. i might have a poem or two about that later on, not sure. when we got home, instead of a victory beer i decided to make a mixed drink. so i broke out a bottle of crown royal i've been meaning to open and some coke. after the first few sips, i remember why i used to drink crown and coke all the time when i was younger. instead of really fucking me up, it always was like an energy drink. that could explain why i was up at 4 in the morning watching wrestling.

NXT was another best of show. i believe next week will be the results of the voting for the 2015 best of's. hopefully there will be some new shows before too long.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

tonight on the DVR will be WWE Smackdown, The Big Bang Theory, Life in Pieces and Lip Sync Battle.

i believe mom and i are going to the grocery store here in a few minutes. i'm down to 2 bottles of beer and the freezer is almost barren. i think we need to buy some things.

the injury bug has bitten my fantasy hockey team once again. and just as i have reached the top 4 in the league. so now i'm in scramble mode. i'm not sure yet how i feel about one of my defensemen being traded to Columbus. it might help his ice time, but i know his plus/minus is going to go to shit.

i got the autograph i bought from Steiner Sports in the mail today. i can't wait to find a frame for it and get it up on a wall. i'll take a picture of it once i do that.

that's all for me kids. i'll be on here tomorrow sometime in the afternoon most likely.

i hope this finds everyone with a tall glass of wine, a good book and a dirty thought.

sometimes the mood controls you

i was watching the New York Rangers piss away chance after chance last night and decided to just turn on some music. but instead of my usual mix of metal, rock, death metal and more rock, i decided to go back to my high school roots and play some R&B, hip hop, techno, etc. if i would have had a joint, it would have almost been a perfect evening. that is, if the Rangers would have ever scored.

the Rangers had 40 shots on goal last night. i have Florida's goalie on my hockey fantasy team, but decided not to use him as i didn't want to watch my Rangers lose but feel good that my fantasy team did well. my mistake. it's not that the shutout (3-0) would have helped me in fantasy hockey, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt. the Rangers just can't seem to put it all together game after game after game anymore. i think it might be time for a trade just for the sake of making a trade. wake the players up so to speak. who knows, but this is quickly becoming a season of what could have been.

thankfully, Austin City Limits was fucking amazing last night. i absolutely love Alabama Shakes. it's definitely one of the bands that makes me believe that great music still exists in the world. i've been torn on Vintage Trouble over the years. after watching them last night, i'm sold. i went on NoiseTrade and got the sampler and will now be a fan. this will hopefully be an episode that stays on my DVR for years.

ROH was excellent last night as well. it was really good to see Stevie Richards wrestling again. plus, they almost sold me on getting the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 tonight. but, i really don't feel like sitting at the computer at 3 in the morning watching wrestling. plus, i would probably prefer to listen in Japanese. but lord knows i will check the results when i wake up and probably be pissed that i missed the "match of the year" between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

the New Orleans Saints finish their season off today at Atlanta. if they win, they will avoid a 10 loss season. the game doesn't mean anything other than pride today. so the Saints will probably lose.

not sure which games i'll be watching today. most likely the Jets as mom will be most interested in that one.

i think i may do some writing tonight or maybe some more work for my next YouTube video. there's really nothing i'm planning on watching tonight, so i won't have any distractions other than a football game.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday night. hopefully your Sunday will be even better. there's a chance it might snow here tomorrow, so look out for some pictures possibly. i know i really should take one of the Christmas lights we have up before i'm ordered to take them down. i'm more of the fucker that would just leave them up all year. you know, the asshole with a Christmas tree on his front porch.

oh what a night

it was kind of funny when we got the same parking spot we had for the games we went to last season up in Columbus. it was the 5th largest crowd to ever go to a hockey game at Nationwide Arena last night. and all of us saw a game that none of us will forget anytime soon.

the New York Rangers were outplayed for the majority of the game last night. only The King and The Troll showed up in my opinion. when Columbus scored a power play goal (with the guy i picked up on my fantasy team earlier in the day) i thought the game was pretty much over. and then this happened:
holy shit. those goals came out of nowhere. i loved that the smart asses sitting behind me got up to leave after the Hayes goal and said "oh well, there goes the season". that made me laugh. only the third time i've seen them win in person. the victory beer tasted oh so sweet. here are the complete game highlights:

after the game we went to dinner. one of my sister's friends joined us. she commented how my sister and i really look alike. i thought in my head how that truly explains why none of my sister's friends ever would date me. this friend being the one i have been attracted to the most over the years of course.

the drive home was pretty uneventful. i was amazed that given the number of cops we saw on the drive up, we saw none on the way home.

once home, i watched Undateable and NJPW, both of which the DVR did record. NJPW was excellent. Undateable was live and fucking brilliant:

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

today is the usual crazy, busy Saturday.

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

Ohio State plays Maryland today at noon. this is a game that Ohio State should win EASILY. if they don't, there is a real problem in Columbus.

the New York Rangers play their home opener tonight against Columbus. the only bad thing is i won't get to see the player introductions as i have to watch the game on Fox Sports Ohio and they will be crying and bitching about the loss from last night. i really hope the Rangers start the season 3-0.

also tonight is the HUGE match between Mexico and the USA. winner goes to the Confederations Cup and the loser should be looking for a new coach. needless to say, i will be a little fucking intense for this game tonight.

i figure i will also be flipping between other college football and hockey games throughout the day. plus mom would like to get some work done in the garage.

the weather looks like it is going to be great today, so why wouldn't i spend all day indoors.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. as always, call if you need bail money. take it easy and then take it again.

i'm never happy when it rains

the rain was supposed to be here by now. my back, as you might imagine, is screaming bloody fucking murder right now. all i can hope is the rain is through here by the time i make the drive to Columbus. i'm not a big fan of driving in the rain, or driving in the rain through construction. let alone having to make that drive twice in a day. good times.

i mostly flipped through some hockey, football, shows on the Discovery channel and the Food Network last night. my fantasy hockey team played much better last night. and i did pick the football game correctly. but all in all it was a night where i just used the massage chair to try to get my back in a better place. i thought it worked until it took me hours to find a comfortable spot in my bed to fall asleep.

i'm lazy this morning so there will be no Flashback Friday today. if you are disappointed, you could always subscribe to my YouTube channel and go watch all my videos there.

our seats for the hockey game tonight are a little closer to the cannon than i would like, but i can always hope it never sounds except for the pregame shit. i'm not sure why the New York Rangers have to be the season opener for Columbus (this is 2 years in a row). hopefully it goes better than last season. we have to get up there a little earlier than usual because of all the pregame shit. we're in the Club seats once again. that makes it a little easier for mom and myself. my sister ends up walking the arena for a good portion of the pregame. she's a bit of a fanatic when it comes to getting her steps in each day. i'm hoping the Rangers win tonight so my drive home won't be a fucking shit fest. if i don't take losing well in the comfort of my own home, you can imagine how i am when in public. this is where it comes in handy looking like someone you wouldn't want to fuck with to begin with. the Rangers have their home opener on Saturday night against Columbus. if tonight's game gets a little dirty, Saturday night will be a bloodbath.

i'm really hoping the DVR works well tonight as Undateable and NJPW will be recording while i'm up in Columbus. i'm really looking forward to Undateable. this whole season will be live. that should be fucking awesome.

i'll be on here early tomorrow morning as Ohio State plays at noon tomorrow. plus tomorrow is the HUGE game between Mexico and the USA. as usual, a busy sports Saturday.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. if i'm not full of piss and vinegar tomorrow morning, you will know mine got off to a decent start.

here comes the sun

yesterday was pretty fucking miserable. the weather was wet and gloomy all damn day. i believe i was in pain from the moment i woke up until the moment i finally fell asleep. and nothing that happened during the day really lifted my spirits.

the New York Yankees pissed away chance after chance yesterday and lost both games of the doubleheader, 9-2 and 4-3. they have to win today or chances are they will be playing in Houston on Tuesday.

Ohio State started off slow once again and played the first half yesterday like they were either stuck in mud or pissed that they were on the road. thankfully, Ezekiel Elliott woke up in the second half and decided to carry the damn team on his own. 274 yards and 3 touchdowns lead Ohio State to a 34-27 victory. without that, Ohio State would have lost. maybe one day this team will realize the talent it has and play to that instead of down to their opponents.

the Saturday Night Live documentary last night was pretty good. 40 minutes or so of it didn't record as the local NBC station had technical difficulties. that probably explains why the WWE Network was fucking up last night as well. too much damn rain. Saturday Night Live itself was ok. i thought Miley Cyrus did a decent job. but, i was so damn tired i will probably have to watch it again.

ROH was excellent last night. 3 really good matches from a baseball stadium. can't beat that.

the WWE special from MSG last night had some really good moments and then some moments where i just know i could write that part so much better than what they are doing right now. i did enjoy Brock Lesnar destroying The Big Show, Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Owens and The New Day vs. The Dudley Boyz. but, leave it to John Cena to piss all over what would have been a great night of wrestling. and i know he always says that he just does what the powers that be tell him to do, but you would think if he actually loved the business of pro wrestling he would tell those powers that be that it would be best for him to put a younger guy over every now and then. but, apparently that asshole can't bring himself to do that just yet. i doubt it ever fucking happens. at least he's supposed to be taking a few months off soon. thank fucking god.

time for some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United plays Arsenal in about 30 minutes. i really hope United takes all 3 points today.

the New Orleans Saints play tonight against the Dallas Cowboys. Drew Brees apparently is going to play. hopefully they end their home losing streak.

tonight on the DVR will be the season finale of The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Homeland and The Affair.

i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow as i will be probably still going over my fantasy hockey draft and wondering which players i'm going to lean on for the season. hard to imagine that's starting back up so soon again.

well, i need to go eat breakfast and read the paper before the game starts. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. may your Sunday be even better.

beat down and tired

so like a dumb ass, i decided to give a shit about the Red Sox vs. Yankees last night. 19 innings later, i remember why baseball stopped being my favorite sport in my 20's. needless to say, i'm running on little sleep, my sister is back in town, and i have a farm to go help clean out. these are the days where i wish i drank coffee or was addicted to heroin.

welcome to the 11th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'd like to highlight the lazy bastard i am and just post three random YouTube videos that i happen to enjoy. well, the first two poets i really like and have been published with. the third video got me with the title. anyone that knows my dating history of black women, they will understand. hope you enjoy, go support, etc. etc.

i will give the Yankees credit for at least fighting back last night. but they pissed away chance after chance to win the game in extra innings. they have way too many left handed bats and are too easy to pitch to at the moment. hopefully that changes as the season goes on... though i doubt it will. Yanks lose 6-5 in 19 innings. you can imagine how much i needed a beer after that game. they play again this afternoon. thankfully, i will miss it.

today is the final day of the NHL regular season. so by tonight, i'll know who the Rangers will face in the first round and if i made a miracle comeback in fantasy hockey. the Rangers play in Washington this afternoon.

i believe Saturday Night Live is new tonight. i'll watch that, if i happen to not be completely dead by the end of today. on the DVR will be ROH.

not sure when i will be on here tomorrow as the Manchester derby is happening. i suppose it depends on just how much we get done at the farm today. my back isn't feeling great from moving some shit this morning, so this could get interesting in a few hours.

the weather looks great outside. hopefully i'll actually get to enjoy it.

raise a glass for the weekend and i do hope it never gets empty.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

depression and easter candy...

today on the 5th day of National Poetry Month, i'd like to shine a little light on another zine i absolutely fucking love, Nerve Cowboy.

Nerve Cowboy is one of the zines i am most proud of to be published by. the quality of the work within each issue is on par with ANY zine in the world, small press, academic, snob poetry, etc. do yourself a favor and go the site, http://www.nervecowboy.com/, click on chapbooks or subscriptions and support this wonderful magazine. it will be well worth your time and money.

i went over to the farm this morning to get all the trash down to the end of the lane. there was a ton of it. i'm sure the garbage men are going to be thrilled. of course, since today is a holiday, my sister and i got into it. my sister likes to think she runs shit when she comes down here. mom allows her to think that way too much (my opinion) so, every once in a while, i try to bring my sister back to reality. but god forbid tell her to shut her mouth when it comes to shit i want to keep at the new house. as i warned my mother, allowing my sister to buy her this house was going to give her full reign in her mind to do whatever the fuck she wants with it. and sure enough, slowly this is becoming like her place. i don't think my sister knows i heard her this morning after our little argument when she asked my mother if she has her will done or not. i took that as yet another shot at me and my depression and whatnot. i would think my sister and my mother would both know by now i will kill myself before i would do anything to them. they have already showed what i mean to them over the years by making sure to celebrate each holiday with the cousin that molested me. i'm the one that gets to grapple with loneliness. good times.

so, on that lovely note, on with this shit...

the New York Rangers whipped the shit out of the Devils last night, 6-1. that gives them 50 wins for the 4th time in franchise history. here are some highlights from the win:

i did watch most of the Final Four last night. i wasn't shocked that Wisconsin beat Kentucky. i was a little shocked at how easily Duke won. the Kentucky loss killed my main bracket, so i have no interest in the title game on Monday night. thankfully, there will be plenty of other shit on to watch.

i'm trailing badly in my fantasy hockey championship match. hopefully in this final week, the worm will turn.

for those of you concerned, my ankle is still attached to my body. it feels a little better today. i'm guessing that's because there's no rain in the area. now, most of next week i will be a pissy mess as it's supposed to rain just about every single fucking day. good times.

that's all for today. hope the Saturday night hangover isn't fucking with you too bad today.

riding the waves

so here's what happened at the doctor's office this morning. i got there a little early, so my gift was to wait until nearly 15 minutes after my appointment was supposed to be until i actually got in. good times. thankfully, my weight was down as was my A1C, which made the doctor really happy. we talked about my ankle and he looked at it. he figures it's tendinitis, but he ordered some x-rays just to make sure. so, i drove there and after waiting in line for 5 minutes behind a woman who shit her pants and another 15 minutes just to get registered to get the x-rays, i finally got in and had 3 x-rays done. i have to call the doc in a few days to see if anything is broken. if it comes back clean, the process will be time and patience. i figure it will be more like pain tolerance and plenty of drinking. i'll post a pic of the bar i have set up at the new house. let's just say i'm an alcoholic.

i sent out 11 poems today; 3 each to Dead Snakes and The Camel Saloon. i sent out 5 poems to Your One Phone Call. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.

it was when i was sending out those poems that i checked and saw my poems had been published on Horror Sleaze Trash. that poem "pink sweatpants" is about 98% true. man, i miss those days.

i watched WrestleMania last night. i was pleasantly surprised with how good the show was. i watched it on the WWE Network as Directv decided not to offer it this year. i was happy that i was able to stream the network through my Bluray player. look at me, finally in the 21st century. hot damn.

i'm really looking forward to Monday Night Raw tonight. this is ALWAYS the best Raw of the year. and after how good the ppv was last night, i'm expecting a fucking great show tonight.

the New York Rangers were the first team in the NHL to get to 100 points this season. sadly, they have shit the bed since that. hopefully they can turn it back up and win the division and go into the playoffs on fire.

i have made the finals of fantasy hockey for the 4th year in a row. hopefully i don't finish second like the last three years.

i got an email today asking for some poems for a broadside project. i guess i need to break out the pen and paper again. of course, i do have a few older poems now available as well. i will hopefully get that submission ready in the next few days.

hopefully the people coming to get the furniture for my sister's friend show up tomorrow. after that shit gets out of the garage, mom can start getting her shit over here. that should help her stress level some.

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and god knows what else.

i'm just about ready to start hanging the artwork and whatnot in my room. once i get that done, then i'll post some pictures of just how fucking ridiculous my room is.

that's all for today. i'm slowly getting back in the groove. if i happen to carve out a few minutes for this tomorrow, look the fuck out.

hope everyone had a great weekend.

where does the time go

i figured i better do one of these again before the world forgets that this blog actually exists. i still am in the process of moving. most of my shit is over here. mom has procrastinated to the point where our furniture will arrive on March 23rd. we have been able to get some of the furniture over in the SUV, so it somewhat feels like a house. the weather hasn't helped much at all.

as for me personally, my shoulder is getting better. i don't feel the pinch as often these days. my right ankle is brutal right now. arthritis (at least i hope that's what it is) is killing me in that ankle. i go to the doctor in a few weeks for my 3 month checkup. that should be an interesting visit.

i am in the playoffs for fantasy hockey at the moment. of course, my team is dealing with injuries, as usual.

the New York Rangers have been playing amazing hockey without The King. to be first in the entire league is truly fucking amazing at this point.

the Dayton Flyers got totally fucking hosed by the selection committee for the NCAA tournament. they were the last team in even though there were a handful of teams that they are absolutely better than. so to turn around and play in the First Four is fucking ridiculous. to find out that if they didn't make it to the finals of the A10 tourney and they wouldn't have been in the field at all is truly fucking ridiculous. at least i'll get to see them play tomorrow. they play Boise State. if they win, they get to play Providence in Columbus on Friday. that would make 5 games in 7 days for them. all with 7 fucking players.

i did fill out a few brackets. i think i have Kentucky winning it all on most of them.

i did write my first poems since i moved. i think they are pretty good. i will get around to sending them out in a few weeks. between trying to move shit each day and take care of the cats, helping my mom and then battling a true lack of sleep, unless i'm typing at 3 in the morning, i simply have no time for submissions at this moment.

i did find it comforting that a guy down the road was cleaning his motorcycles over the weekend blasting Black Sabbath. at least not everyone on this cul-de-sac is on the verge of death.

i've had to get some new bird feeders to battle the fucking squirrels over here. these flying rats are everywhere.

the hockey games that we had tickets to are over. my sister is toying with the idea of getting some tickets for next season. the kicker though is she will be in Africa for a month. so, i doubt that we'll get tickets next season.

here are the basketball games i'll be watching in person today and tomorrow:
Manhattan vs. Hampton and Ole Miss vs. BYU
North Florida vs. Robert Morris and Boise St. vs. Dayton

seeing that the late games don't start until 9 PM each night, i'll be fucking tired beyond belief these next two days. but, as long as i get to see Dayton stick it to the selection committee and win on Wednesday, i'll be fine.

thank god i do have a DVR now. as you might imagine, i'm recording fucking everything. it's made my life much less stressful.

the series ending episode of The Jinx was fucking awesome. i saved it on the DVR as i'll watch that over and over.

once i get a little more settled and back in the swing of things, i'll take some pictures of the new place and show everyone just how fucking packed my room actually is. once i get everything up on the wall, i'll basically be the sociopath that some actually believe i am.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is doing well. happy St. Patrick's Day to all my drunk friends out there.

i'll probably get back to doing this everyday once the baseball season starts going.

ashy elbow Wednesday

much like i thought would happen, there i was at 2 in the morning, wide awake. i decided i would take the time to write some poems. i ended up writing 4 poems. i typed them up and a poem i wrote last week this afternoon. i really like all five. i think i will hold off on sending them out until the move is somewhat complete.

i guess we're waiting on the carpets to get cleaned and the painting to get done. that is supposed to happen by the weekend. if that does happen, i imagine all weekend will be spent moving some shit at least. i might be incommunicado for the weekend. i know mom wants to be mostly in the house by the time the phone/internet/Directv is installed. that will all be done by March 1st (fingers crossed). that also means that we have to go out and upgrade our televisions and etc, etc. i guess that Best Buy gift card i've held on to for a few years will finally come in handy.

we are currently under a wind chill warning. it is supposed to get to something like -30 or -40 over the next two nights. if the cats somehow survive that kind of cold, they simply will not die. i made sure to get out there before the warning went into effect today. the windchill was probably -15 or so. not fun.

i've been waiting to do the dishes until it got really fucking cold. my logic is that it will be good for the old pipes to have some hot water running through them when it's really cold. so, you can imagine what i'll be doing at some point tonight.

i highly recommend the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast with HBK. i also listened to Chris Jericho's latest podcast this morning while i was sitting next to the heater. as you might imagine, i'm looking forward to a house that isn't always fucking cold.

i'm really looking forward to Lucha Underground tonight. more and more people are catching on to just how good the show is.

after that, i'll probably watch some college basketball (Duke vs. North Carolina) and maybe some hockey. my fantasy hockey team had to be reshuffled in the last few days. fucking injuries. i'm still first in the league, thankfully.

a huge congrats to Don Donoher, former coach of the Dayton Flyers on his induction into the College Basketball Hall of Fame. long overdue.

i'll probably be on here early tomorrow as we have a basketball game to go to tomorrow evening. that should be fun. i'm guessing it will be below zero when we go to the game. hopefully it will be a sellout. that will warm things up. plus, Dayton is going for their 20th win of the season. i don't think many fans thought that was going to happen this season.

i hope everyone is good and warm. driving to the post office was certainly not a treat today. i can't wait until it is even colder tomorrow. as you can tell, winter is starting to get to me. hopefully it's not fucking with you. drinks up my friends. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

it's just another day to me

i've promised myself i won't write any i'm alone again on Valentine's Day poems this year. thankfully, the weather has turned to shit, so i can always write about that.

i'm running on not much sleep at the moment and i'm truly dreading the -20 with the windchill temps that are coming this way.

the hockey game last night in Columbus was great. it's always fun to watch a couple of ex-New York Rangers find a way to beat the fucking Philadelphia Flyers. the Flyers blew a 3-1 lead in the 3rd period to lose 4-3 in OT. that loss helped me flip the stats in my fantasy hockey this week. all in all, a pretty good evening.

mom and i went out to Waffle House when we got back into town and it might have been the worst service i have EVER received at any restaurant in my life. we sat for 20 minutes before we even got asked what we wanted to drink. and then the food i ordered was almost cooked completely. almost. needless to say, i'll probably have a poem about that experience written soon.

i didn't watch Treehouse Masters or NJPW last night. i tried to get some sleep. i might have got about 4 hours.

when i got up this morning i remembered i didn't check my email last night. thankfully i had less than 100 emails to get through this morning. i fed the cats and told them i'll be on dead cat detail tomorrow morning as i'm sure one of them dumb fucks will freeze to death overnight. the snow isn't bad. the wind is ferocious. it's already blown the barn doors open and knocked some of the wood off of one of the barns. good times. i'll be sleeping by a heater tonight that's for sure.

the Dayton Flyers somehow beat St. Bonaventure today 75-61 with basically 6 1/2 players. one player got injured (hopefully he's ok and just missed the second half as a precaution) and another fouled out before the end of the game. i was waiting for Dayton's coach to just play with 4 guys Hoosiers style. but, i'll certainly enjoy the victory beer tonight. here are some highlights:

most of the really bad weather happened while we were inside at the game. the drive home wasn't too bad. of course, getting gas was a bone chilling experience.

tonight, i'll be bouncing between some NBA All-Star shit (3 point contest, slam dunk, etc) and the New York Rangers game at Arizona. after that, i'll be watching ROH tonight and hopefully staying warm.

i'll be back on here early tomorrow, that is if we still have power or if Frontier Communications has managed to keep the internet up and running. it went out on me this morning as i was trying to watch some YouTube videos. that's always fun.

hopefully your weather is a hell of a lot warmer than mine is. i do hope you are having a great weekend. if not, pour yourself something stronger. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

welcome to the bitter cold

i'm not really looking forward to the next few days. it is supposed to get really cold. not life and death cold, but cold enough that i'll have to make an effort to stay warm in the house. good times.

the New York Rangers have fallen into a very risky trend here lately. great teams, hell, even good teams can get away with constantly blowing 2 goal leads in the 3rd period. amazingly, the Rangers got away with it again last night. but, 2 points is 2 points. and there were a few nasty goals as well last night in a 6-3 win.

and that wasn't even the nastiest one:

here are the full game highlights:

i did happen to write a poem last night. i will probably type it up sometime this weekend. i'd like to write a few more so i have a good bunch to type up.

i was in some pain last night trying to fall asleep. how i managed to get around 6 hours is beyond me. i'm happy i did though as i have some driving to do today.

this will be a short one as i need to get to the bank and get the mail before mom and i leave to go to Columbus for the hockey game tonight.

i won't probably be back on here until Saturday afternoon/evening as the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow at 12:30 PM. needless to say, i'll be running on empty after that.

i'm not sure if i'll get to watch what i normally watch on Friday nights (Treehouse Masters, NJPW) when i get back from Columbus tonight. i'll probably be busy checking my emails.

i really need Columbus to beat Philadelphia tonight. my fantasy hockey is struggling this week and could use that victory.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully you don't have shitty weather coming your way. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
