i hate when i talk to someone for over a month, we really get to know each other, share pictures, get to feel comfortable, etc. and then, of course, comes the i need to ask you a question. i know by now, that will always involve money. today was the desperate need for a new phone. funny, that was the same bullshit from a different one a few weeks ago. it absolutely seems like i am destined to be alone until i die. i'm not exactly sure who i pissed off or fucked over in a previous life, but i'm sure as fuck paying for it now.so, that was my morning. toss in my bad back aching, and you can imagine what the fuck i feel like today. i was going to spend this afternoon sending out poems. instead, i'm trying to fight off depression. good times.
the Ladies & Gentleman... 50 Years of SNL Music was great last night. if you get the chance to watch it, i highly recommend it.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

so, the rain that seems to never end is supposed to turn over to snow later today. joy.
let me get the bad news out of the way first.
the Dayton Flyers lost at Richmond last night, 69-64. that ends the Flyers winning streak and puts them in second place in the A10.
the New York Rangers got down 2-0 last night and my first thought was here we go again. thankfully, the Rangers scored 7 straight goals after that to win in Ottawa last night, 7-2.
WWE Royal Rumble last night was excellent. i thought the women's Rumble match stole the show. Jade Cargill made her debut a memorable one. Bayley and Cody Rhodes won the Rumble matches.
AEW Collision was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Hightown, The Woman in the Wall and True Detective Night Country.
Manchester United is playing at Newport County in the FA Cup right now. United is up 2-1 at halftime. considering Newport is 76 places behind United, i will be incredibly disappointed if United loses this in the second half.
the AFC and NFC championship games are today. Chiefs at Ravens and Lions at 49ers.
i will probably watch both of those games and a little college basketball today.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

so, like most of this country, i watched the released footage of the killing of Tyre Nichols last night. just a fucking senseless death. now, i know the arguments from both sides. just comply, don't run, etc. all cops are evil, doesn't matter the color, etc. since we no longer live in a society where anyone can see the fucking truth is somewhere in the middle of the rhetoric, i'm hoping the protests won't turn violent, but i'm sure they will. and honestly, my only hope from all of this is the few good police that do exist in this country. please turn all the shitty police in. now, i know for any of that to happen, you have to change the police unions and the whole concept of why he have police forces to begin with. even better, imagine a society where drugs were legal and the temptation to do them was gone because you were no longer getting away with something. i'm not going to get on my soapbox and rail for the next 45 minutes, although i know i can. as i told my mother last night, there has always been a reason why i have never trusted the police and even more reasons why i never will. all this does is add to my resolve. now, if any good comes from all of this, that should come from the resolve of others who actually want to live in a society as bound to racist institutions as this country is. and if you want to think i don't know what i'm talking about, please look up why this country started up police forces. and if you actually read the truth, it shouldn't be that hard even for the fucking blind to connect the dots.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against Vegas, 4-1. the boys are off now until February 6th (All-Star break).
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.

the Dayton Flyers play at home this afternoon against Richmond. hopefully, they will get a win today.
the USMNT plays tonight against Colombia in a friendly.
i am going to try to be on here tomorrow before Wrexham plays in the FA Cup. and definitely before the NFL playoff games start tomorrow.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

so, we were supposed to just get some snow in the morning. instead, it has snowed all day long. now, it has only accumulated to about an inch or so, but still... i think i left the house for a couple minutes today, just to get the paper and the mail.
the USMNT defeated El Salvador last night, 1-0. i wish they would have been more clinical in the final third, but i'll gladly take the 3 points and get one step closer to qualifying for the World Cup.
the New York Rangers pissed away a 2 goal lead last night and lost to Columbus, 5-3. they play Minnesota today at home. they are retiring Henrik Lundqvist's #30 tonight. it should be quite the ceremony. the team announced today that Adam Fox is on IR. i'm hoping he didn't break his wrist last night. he won't be back until after the All Star break.
NXT UK was excellent last night.
Young Sheldon was good last night.
United States of Al was pretty good last night.
both episodes of B Positive were very funny last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Chillin Island. i'll watch 205 Live tonight on Peacock.
the Dayton Flyers play at home tonight against Rhode Island. they are favored by 6 points. i hope Dayton wins, but i'm pretty sure it will be a close game.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i do need to get up to Menards at some point and get a few things we need in the house. if the weather is somewhat decent tomorrow, i'll be on here after i get home. i do know, i'll have the blog done before the Royal Rumble starts tomorrow night.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i know the east coast is supposed to have one hell of a blizzard. best of luck to all my friends and enemies out there.

sometimes my back gets bad enough that i'll sit down in my massage chair, lean back, and just drift away. one of these days, i'm hoping that is how i die. today, it was how i took a long ass nap this afternoon. i must have slept for 2 hours or so. of course, when you only sleep 4 hours a night, it is bound to happen.
NXT was really good last night.
AEW was really good last night as well.
The Masked Dancer was good last night.
Name That Tune was good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Unicorn, Total Bellas and Cari & Jemele Won't Stick to Sports. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Buffalo. i'd love to see them actually play 60 minutes and win for a fucking change.
the mail was actually delivered this morning around 10 AM. i was shocked. then, i saw it was starting to snow and i realized why it was being worked so early. they are already so fucking far behind as it is.
f.y.i. if you happen to call me on my cell phone, please leave a fucking message. i'm blocking anyone who doesn't leave one as most of the damn calls i get are spam.

the Royal Rumble was good last night, but long as hell and has thrown everything in my life (television watching, etc) into fucking chaos. i had to get sleep last night as i needed to make sure i got mom to her appointment today to get the injection for her osteoporosis. so, that meant i only watched a couple of the Sunday night shows last night and had to catch up today. and then for some fucking reason, people find it necessary to email me constantly...
anyway, let's get this dog and pony show on the road...
i did write 12 poems this afternoon in the waiting room while mom was getting her injection. i have no damn clue when i will type them up.
the Royal Rumble was very good, just too fucking long. i believe between the pre-show and post show special on WWE Network, i watched 8 hours straight of wrestling. but, the people i wanted to win the Rumble matches did (Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins) so i'm pretty happy.
Total Bellas was pretty good last night.
Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night.
today, i caught up on the rest of the shows.
True Detective was fucking great.
Crashing was pretty good.
High Maintenance was fucking hilarious.
Shameless was really good.
Black Monday was really funny.
SMILF was good.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Celebrity Big Brother, Monday Night Raw and Breslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists.
although i didn't get to see any of the game, i did catch the highlights of the USMNT defeating Panama last night 3-0. that's a good start for the new coach.
i will be on here tomorrow after i get back from taking mom to physical therapy. that happens around the same time Manchester United is playing tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. if you don't see a blog on here the next couple of days, it probably means i have frozen to death. good times.

so i was sitting there watching the Dayton Flyers beat the living shit out of Saint Louis last night hoping that no one took my betting advice. i was stunned at how poorly Saint Louis played, especially since they were coming off of three games where they had averaged over 80 points a game. but, it also makes me think how great Dayton's defense was last night. before the game, the Saint Louis coach said that Dayton has the talent to reach the Final Four. hopefully that's one thing that asshole will be right about. Dayton destroyed Saint Louis last night 73-37.
we went to Waffle House after the game. there was this hot blonde that was there with i'm assuming was her husband and child. there's something about a woman with short hair and glasses that drives me wild. it was the usual visit right up until the blonde and others left. the child put some money in the jukebox. the song that started playing was "What's New Pussycat" by Tom Jones. i laughed and told my mother that's some of Tom's best work. she wanted to know who the fuck chose that one. i told her the kid must have got excited when saw the word pussy.
after i got home, i immediately turned on Lucha Underground. the first season was amazing and to be honest, season two started out on fire. a couple of title matches, with some great storytelling. thank god this is back in my life every Wednesday again.
after that, i watched NXT. another great episode. and after reading the spoilers from the taping they had last night, i'm going to be enjoying the NXT shows right through March.
it's always a pleasure to wake up to poems being accepted. that makes up for having well over 100 emails to go through since you decided you'd like to get more than 3 hours of sleep.
enjoy some music kids:
now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle, WWE Smackdown, Baskets and god knows what else. i think most of the shows are reruns.
i have made up some serious ground in fantasy hockey. going from last place to being 20 games over .500 in under a month is just short of a miracle. i'm in second place in my division, which is much better than i thought i would be at the All-Star break.
i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays Derby County in the 4th round of the FA Cup. hopefully i will be in a good mood.
