unexpected perfection...

so, i was paying attention to the Yankees game while i was watching other things last night. when it got to the 7th inning, i was like well, i need to flip over. by that time, Domingo German was 7 innings into a perfect game. i watched the last two innings wondering which Yankee was going to fuck this up. thankfully, that didn't happen. Domingo German threw the 24th perfect game in major league history. it was also the 4th one in Yankees history. i think he gave up like 17 runs in his last 2 starts, so to say this was unexpected is an understatement. after the game last night, Domingo let it be known his uncle died 2 days ago and this game was for him. the Yankees can win the series this afternoon.

the USMNT won last night in the Gold Cup, 6-0. they play Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday.

AEW Dynamite was really good last night.

Mayans M.C. was great last night.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW.

i think mom wants to go looking for some new shoes after her physical therapy this afternoon. of course, there is also a chance of rain today, so there's just as much of a chance she will change her mind.

i do hope i'll get some poems written while she is in physical therapy.

i did watch some of the NHL Draft last night. i am thrilled with the New York Rangers pick.

i will probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon.

i need to start getting ready, so that's all for me kids.

we had some sleet today...

i had to take mom to get her blood work done today. it was raining and she just told me to go park and she will text me when she is done. that usually is a sign that she feels more confident in how she is feeling and can do shit on her own. as i was sitting in the parking lot, the rain changed over to sleet. holy fuck. this is why i hate the weather in Ohio. anything could happen at any fucking time it seems. snow to a heatwave in a few days...

here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

the New York Yankees won yesterday over the Twins, 2-0. Gerrit Cole pitched a complete game shutout. he definitely looks like he is on a mission this year.

the NBA playoffs were good yesterday.

i did watch El Trafico yesterday. it never disappoints.

Power Book II: Ghost was crazy again last night.

Succession was very good last night.

both episodes of Barry were great last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Yellowjackets was crazy again last night.

Waco: The Aftermath brought back some memories last night.

i guess i sleep better when exhausted...

i did the dishes before i went to bed last night. now, i won't say i got great sleep as i saw the clock way too many times overnight. but, i didn't really wake up until almost 10 AM. i'll take it.

the Yankees won both games of the doubleheader yesterday against Cleveland. and both wins were come from behind victories. the Yankees won Game 1, 13-4. they won Game 2, 6-1. they go for the season sweep of Cleveland this afternoon.

WWE Money in the Bank was really good last night. while i'm not very happy that Theory won the men's briefcase, especially since he wasn't added to the match until right before it started, i am fucking so damn happy that Liv Morgan won the women's briefcase and cashed it in to win the Smackdown's women's championship by defeating Ronda Rousey.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be two episodes of We Hunt Together, The Chi, the season finale of The Man Who Fell to Earth, Flatbush Misdemeanors and Westworld.

i'm not sure what else i might watch today. in a perfect world, i would love to get some writing done.

i will probably be on here sometime in the afternoon tomorrow.

i don't really have any plans for July 4th.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

and then the whispers become a scream...

the quiet moments, sitting alone, in front of a computer, wondering what to type, wondering who even bothers to read this shit anymore, it eventually becomes this scream in the back of your head. and we all know that you can't muffle it, you can't change into lyrics or some heavy metal riff from your youth. that scream becomes the soundtrack to the rest of your life. that uneasy knowledge that you aren't better than this. that every fucker that has put you down or dragged you through the proverbial mud, or stole from you over the years... they were right. these are the moments i think about when i was 8 years old and first thought of suicide. it was also the year i realized i was molested at the age of 4 by a female cousin. also the age i started masturbating to Pam Grier movies. there's the glorious backstory on how to become a poet boys and girls. add in a love of cheap whiskey, 10 years of smoking 2 packs a day and an endless array of how to creatively use the word fuck.

this is what happens when the afternoon gets so humid you sit at the computer and dream of your death. all i could picture was a dog taking a piss on my headstone. better than my usual dream of my ashes being flushed in a truck stop in northern Ohio. good times.

so, the Yankees played one of the craziest games i ever saw last night. they blew the lead 4 different times in the game, but defeated the Royals, 8-6 in 11 innings. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was good last night, but could have been way better.

enjoy some music:

so, mom called her physical therapist last night and got her to change her visit to the house to later this week.

we made it to the podiatrist in plenty of time. she had some paperwork to fill out. at least this one is way closer to the house than the last one was. i thought the office had a good vibe and everyone was really nice. i think mom felt much better when she was done. i got her a frozen Coke on the way home.

i need to pick up the trash and get that out to the curb.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done. now, with the Yankees playing in the afternoon tomorrow, there is always the chance i get the blog done in the morning. who knows.

so, of course, today i had Filipino food...

my sister came down this afternoon and brought with her some Filipino food. i haven't had any of that in a long time. my sister's best friend from college is this amazing woman that is Filipino. so, i used to have it all the time, but that's over 20 years now. so, that was a welcome spice this afternoon. of course, i can't wait to see what my shit looks like after yesterday and today. joy.

the Yankees whipped the Red Sox last night, 10-3. hopefully, they do the same thing tonight.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was very good last night.

Room 104 was pretty funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

i imagine i will watch some hockey tonight as well.

the other part of my order from Amazon.com showed up today. i think i know how much more i need to buy to have everything i want to be in individual sleeves. once i get what i have done the last 2 days in order, i'll start posting some pics and prices.

i did go to the grocery store this afternoon and pick up mom's medications and my test strips for my blood sugar. i've lost some weight and i have my blood sugar pretty consistent now. i'd just like to get the number under 115 and closer to 100.

i should be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the Europa League semifinals. in case i'm not, here is a preview:

way harder than it needed to be...

i was a little surprised that the Manchester United game was on television today. after watching the game, i almost wish it wouldn't have been as i didn't need that fucking stress. United defeated Norwich 2-1 in extra time to advance to the semifinals of the FA Cup. Harry Maguire scored near the death of extra time to win the game. Norwich was down to 10 men for all of extra time. i would have been beyond pissed if the worst team in the league would have forced them to penalties. oh well, i'll enjoy the alcohol tonight.

Smackdown and 205 Live were pretty good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night. they are off for the next month i believe.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i'll probably watch some UFC tonight as well.

i did listen to the latest Blackburn Review podcast last night. you can find that by going here:

it has rained on and off today. i think since yesterday we have had over an inch of rain so far. joy.

making the most of a bye week...

so on this Sunday that the New Orleans Saints aren't playing, i wanted to get some shit done. i asked mom if she wanted biscuits and gravy for breakfast this morning. she said yeah, so i got to it in the kitchen. mom didn't like how thin the gravy was so she added some flour to it. and by some, i mean way too much. so, instead of biscuits and gravy we had biscuits and porridge. she didn't like it. it was edible, but i'm paying for it now. i'm in the middle of doing my laundry while my stomach is doing gymnastics. good times.

the New York Rangers won yesterday in Nashville, 2-1. i think the boys have found a style that clicks with them.

the Dayton Flyers won yesterday against Cedarville, 93-60. i was happy with the way the team looked. they are way deeper and more athletic than last season. if they can stay healthy, they should have a chance to do something special this season. the renovations to UD Arena look fucking amazing. of course, with all my mother's medical conditions, i doubt she'll be able to go to the games and actually enjoy herself. when i'm there alone, i do a ton of people watching during timeouts. i should have a few poems stirring about. here are some highlights from the game:

NJPW was really good last night. i could watch Sanada and Okada wrestle forever.

ROH was good last night.

Bluegrass Underground and Austin City Limits were both really good last night.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Batwoman, the mid-season finale of Power, the series finale of The Affair, Watchmen, Silicon Valley, Mrs. Fletcher and Last Week Tonight.

i'm going to try to do some poetry work tonight, especially since i realized the other day i didn't send any poems out in October. hello depression, my name is...

mom starts her physical therapy tomorrow, so i should be on here after that is over.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.

nothing like a bowling ball on the small of your back...

on average, i probably get 3 hours of sleep in my bed because of the pinched nerve in my right arm. then, with the help of some ice and the massage chair, i might get a couple hours in that. expect for this morning, when a fucking cramp in my left leg woke me up after 45 minutes. fucking joy. so yeah, to say i'm a little pissy today...

the New York Yankees lost to Oakland last night, 5-3. they start a series tonight at the Dodgers, which many believe will be a World Series preview. the Yankees have lost 4 games in a row. this isn't exactly how i wanted them to enter this series.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. Sis got evicted, which was probably a mistake in my opinion. Holly won HOH, marking the first time this season someone has won it twice.

the series finale of Baskets was a little bittersweet.

the grocery store wasn't as crowded as i was expecting today. the tariffs are definitely starting to creep up the prices now. joy.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Real Time with Bill Maher and A Black Lady Sketch Show.

i figure i might end up watching some NFL tonight and probably some MLS as well.

my lower back has been killing me today. it's so much fun to be walking in the grocery store and watch the elderly move past you. i did have a good laugh when this drunk asked me where the fuck do they keep the lemons and limes, where you can buy just one. i pointed over to the produce and started to chuckle. i guess a drunk can always recognize another friendly soul.

i get the feeling i'm going to spend most of tonight in my massage chair icing my back. exactly how i wanted to start my weekend.

i'm going to try to be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i guess you can call it sleep...

i think i mostly tossed and turned last night for the most part. but, this afternoon, with a little ice on my back in my massage chair, i probably got a good 2 hours of a hard fucking nap in. i feel a little rejuvenated i suppose. not good enough to send out the poems today like i wanted, but i get the feeling i know what i'll be doing at 3 in the morning when i can't sleep tonight.

the New York Yankees won another slugfest with the Twins last night, 10-7. they start a 4 game series tonight in Boston. this is their chance to basically eliminate Boston from having any chance to win the division.

NXT was really good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. i fully expect Bella to be evicted tonight.

Snowfall had an excellent Oh Shit ending last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Holey Moley, Big Brother, Baskets and Desus & Mero.

when i woke up this morning, i saw that Manchester United had defeated Tottenham 2-1 in China.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store.

the humidity has crept back into the area. so, the air conditioning is back on today. it was nice to have the windows open for a couple of days.

i believe my sister is coming down this weekend. i know the community picnic is this weekend, with the fireworks on Saturday night.

that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

hard to believe it's been 25 years...

25 years ago today, the New York Rangers won the Stanley Cup. it's hard to believe it's been 25 years. but, i still remember that day as one of the greatest days of my life.

i did watch a good portion of Game 6 of the NBA Finals last night. i can't believe the number of serious injuries in this series for the Warriors. but, that's a part of basketball. so, it is nice to see someone other than LeBron or Golden State win one for a change. here are your highlights:

Lip Sync Battle was fucking hilarious last night.

Desus & Mero was excellent last night.

Life in Pieces was pretty funny last night.

Baskets was great as usual last night.

the New York Yankees pissed away a 4-0 lead last night to lose 5-4 to the Chicago White Sox.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NJPW, Real Time with Bill Maher and Los Espookys.

the grocery store was fucking crowded as hell today. needless to say, i didn't get a chance to watch any of the Women's World Cup today. but, i did manage to get everything on the scroll and keep it under $130.

i hope everyone has a great weekend.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm shooting for the morning, but hell, i didn't have breakfast today until after noon. so, your guess is as good as mine.

much later than i thought this was going to be...

the Royal Rumble was good last night, but long as hell and has thrown everything in my life (television watching, etc) into fucking chaos. i had to get sleep last night as i needed to make sure i got mom to her appointment today to get the injection for her osteoporosis. so, that meant i only watched a couple of the Sunday night shows last night and had to catch up today. and then for some fucking reason, people find it necessary to email me constantly...

anyway, let's get this dog and pony show on the road...

i did write 12 poems this afternoon in the waiting room while mom was getting her injection. i have no damn clue when i will type them up.

the Royal Rumble was very good, just too fucking long. i believe between the pre-show and post show special on WWE Network, i watched 8 hours straight of wrestling. but, the people i wanted to win the Rumble matches did (Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins) so i'm pretty happy.

Total Bellas was pretty good last night.

Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night.

today, i caught up on the rest of the shows.

True Detective was fucking great.

Crashing was pretty good.

High Maintenance was fucking hilarious.

Shameless was really good.

Black Monday was really funny.

SMILF was good.

although i didn't get to see any of the game, i did catch the highlights of the USMNT defeating Panama last night 3-0. that's a good start for the new coach.

i will be on here tomorrow after i get back from taking mom to physical therapy. that happens around the same time Manchester United is playing tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. if you don't see a blog on here the next couple of days, it probably means i have frozen to death. good times.

one of those days where every ounce of my patience was tested...

we have had over 2 inches of rain since it started a day or so ago. i'm pretty sure every joint in my body is fucking screaming at the moment. good times.

the grocery store today was a fucking zoo, both times i was there. so, i had a scroll the first time and i thought i did a pretty good job finding everything. of course, that changed once my mother saw what i bought. on top of that, they fucked up the price of her pills at the pharmacy once again. she was supposed to get these pills at 48 cents. the fucker charged me $30.49 for them. mom called up there and they thought she was fucking lying. so, i decided to get this shit taken care of now. so, back to the store and i think i waited in the line at the pharmacy for around 30 minutes. the pharmacist remembered the phone call from my mother and i got my refund, plus a gift card was waiting for me at customer service. so, i went there, stood in line again... the cashier knew i was coming but didn't know how much the gift card should be. she asked me if $15 would be okay? i said yes, mostly because i knew my fucking day was now shot. after i got the card, i went to go find the pork tenderloin mom wanted. apparently the one i got, that is really good but has actual spices on it, wasn't what she wanted. please understand i live with a woman that has to have her food be as bland as fuck to eat it. you can understand why every time i go out now, i get something spicy or just fucking different. she hasn't looked at what i got yet. if it isn't the right one, she's going to get the tough shit answer from me.

so yeah, i was hoping to already have this blog done and be in the process of wrapping Christmas gifts in the obituaries. good times.

Vice News Tonight had another great week. last night was their last show until 2019.

WWE Tribute to the Troops was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Shop and the season finale of Mike Judge Presents: Tales from the Tour Bus.

i am going to try to get all the gifts wrapped tonight. tomorrow is going to be crazy as fuck as there is a basketball game in the afternoon. that's why i will be on here in the morning tomorrow, hopefully.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are doing some last minute shopping, have fun, have some patience and hopefully, get a good deal.
