so, the guy from Orkin was here today. they did a full inspection of the house and figured out that we have a fucking family of squirrels living in the attic. now, their fix for this is to remove all the insulation, disinfect everything, replace the insulation and close up all the places the fucking flying rats have been getting in. they also are going to put a shield over our gutters as part of that. and for shits and giggles, we're going to protect for termites just in fucking case. so, basically, this will cost the money set aside for a new vehicle. so, i guess the 2002 Toyota Highlander will have to survive another decade or so. good times. not exactly how i wanted to spend an afternoon while it snows on and off today. fuck me.
i did watch the NCAA selection show yesterday. Dayton was one of the last four teams called. fuck me. they are a #7 seed in the West. they will play #10 seed Nevada on Thursday in Salt Lake City, Utah. now, the ironic thing is this is the same city Dayton started their run to the elite eight 40 years ago. i would love to see a repeat of that, but i'm not holding my breath.
The Regime last night was hilarious.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was fucking great last night.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.
here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:
enjoy some music:

i should be on here tomorrow after i get back from the dealership. the Highlander needs the oil changed and hopefully, nothing else.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so, Rite Aid texted me today to say my prescription was ready. i was hoping it was my test strips to take my blood sugar in the morning but of course, it wasn't. i asked the lady at the pharmacy if my test strips had come in as they texted me on last Thursday and said they were ordering them. she checked and said no. i told her i am down to my last strip so i will be out of them tomorrow morning. she said to check tomorrow to see if they are in and if not, they will come up with something. ah, modern medicine.
the NHL season starts back up today. the New York Rangers will play their first game on Thursday at Buffalo.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.

yesterday was one of those days where counting to ten didn't do the trick. neither did a few deep breaths. but, i made it to today. yeah for me. (and yes, i said that with a dripping sarcasm)
the Yankees lost yesterday to Boston, 8-1. they will hopefully not get swept today for the second straight series, but i won't be holding my breath.
Manchester United lost 2-0 at Tottenham yesterday. if yesterday proved anything, they really need to get some more players in the transfer market.
i did watch both Leagues Cup games last night. Philadelphia defeated Monterrey 3-0 to win 3rd place. Inter Miami won the Leagues Cup, defeating Nashville in a penalty shootout, 1-1 (10-9). Messi scored again, big shock.
i did get a text from Rite Aid yesterday saying my prescription was ready. by the time i made it to the store, the pharmacy was closed. so, i went there earlier today and got it. fun.
i didn't make it to Menards yesterday. so, as soon as i get this done, i'll be going there.
enjoy some music:

i went to the bank today, the post office and then to Rite Aid to get my prescription. i was in the parking lot when i got text from mom saying that her pills were ready at Kroger and she had cancelled physical therapy today. so, i went back to Kroger to get those. after that, i went back home. it has been trying to rain all day long. just in the last few hours, it has finally started.
the New York Yankees came from behind yesterday and beat the Texas Rangers, 5-3. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow at Oakland.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last night was fucking great.
VICE was excellent last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was fucking hilarious last night.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night.
the New York Knicks won last night at home over Miami, 112-103. Miami now leads the series, 3-2.

so night 1 of WrestleMania was better than i think anyone was ever expecting. my favorite moments were Cody Rhodes coming back as the American Nightmare, using everything he used while he was in AEW. that was like WWE admitting, yeah, you guys did it better and we can't think of something better than that... and the work of Kevin Owens in his match against Stone Cold Steve Austin was perfect. and the bumps that Austin took after not having a match in 19 years were fucking insane. honestly, if night 2 is even close to last night, this will be one of the best WrestleManias in years.
NXT Stand & Deliver was excellent as well yesterday.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
i did get to watch Jerrod Carmichael's comedy special Rothaniel yesterday. it was fucking great, as usual.
thank god North Carolina beat Duke last night. they will play Kansas on Monday for the national championship.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Billions, Super Pumped: The Battle for UBER, Shining Vale, Last Week Tonight and Game Theory with Bomani Jones.
Manchester United and Leicester played to a 1-1 draw yesterday. i pretty much have given up hope that United is going to finish in the top 4.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Philadelphia. hopefully, the Rangers will play much better than their last game and win tonight.
here are your 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
i helped mom change the toilet seat in her bathroom today. my back is totally fucked now. so, i'm going to spend most of the rest of the day and night in my massage chair with some ice. watching more wrestling than any one human probably should.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Holey Moley was fucking hilarious last night.
When Nature Calls was very good last night.
Big Brother was good last night. Frenchie got evicted, 11-1, and i believe Xavier is the new HOH.
Desus & Mero was excellent last night.
the Yankees lost to Boston last night in 10 innings, 5-4. they pissed away leads in the 9th and 10th in epic fashion. truly, this loss was like a punch to the dick.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on Peacock.
i didn't get up early to watch the Opening Ceremony and i won't be watching it tonight either. i'm sure i will watch some of the soccer and basketball when i get a chance. the problem i have when the Olympics are in Asia is i can't stand watching replays of games when i already know what the final score is. so, there will be some either late, late nights or some really early mornings if i want to watch any of these games live.
the first round of the NHL Draft is tonight. i'm very interested to see what the New York Rangers will do tonight.
Manchester United finally made the Jadon Sancho transfer official today. hopefully he will do great things at the club.
mom needs to take some shoes back to Shoe Carnival, so that's all for me today kids.

to illustrate how bad my back is, picture throwing your back out while wiping your ass. good times. now, picture doing this while you are trying to get ready to take your mother to an appointment at 8 in the morning.
today has been pure fucking torture for me. i have done everything i needed to today; grocery shopping, picking up empty trash cans, etc... i just have done it at the pace of someone twice my age. i'm not sure if ice and plenty of alcohol is going to do the trick tonight. might be time to find some heroin...
mom's appointment went fine. they want her to take a sleep test, mostly because that's something else they can charge to Medicare. mom is leaning against it, mostly because she is doing fine with the oxygen she's on at night and actually is sleeping better now. the nurse practitioner that saw her was this thick blonde that had a tattoo on her left foot. there will be poems.
it was warm enough today that most of the women out and about were wearing something tight. i felt like a character in a Leonard Cohen song.
Young Rock was good last night.
Kenan was pretty funny last night.
Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential was about the Von Erich's last night.
Mayans M.C. was excellent last night, especially the ending.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW, Snowfall and The Masked Singer.
the USMNT Under 23's play Mexico tonight. it is the last game of group play. they are playing for seeding tonight and to see who wins the group. i would love to see the USA pull off a shocker tonight.
the Yankees lost to the Blue Jays today, 5-0.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. all i am really looking forward to is spending the night icing down my back, finding the pleasure in the pain.
until tomorrow kids...

i popped out of bed at 6:30 this morning, wide fucking awake after 4 1/2 hours of sleep. i looked outside and saw it had rained. of course. arthritis was going to make sure it was going to win the day.
i just put my last load of laundry in the washer. i'm running on fumes. good times.
i got my pills this morning at the grocery store. after that, i went to Meijer to look for some baseball cards. i didn't find much of those, but i did get 2 packs of football and hockey cards. and if i can get what i want for the two Patrick Mahomes cards i got today, i'll make back everything i spent on the cards i got.
AEW last night was pretty good.
Big Brother was good last night. i'm pretty sure Kaysar will be evicted tonight.
Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports was excellent last night.
the Yankees lost to Tampa last night, 5-2. hell, it was 4-0 before the Yankees got a damn out in the first inning. the Yankees play a makeup game with the Mets this afternoon before they play another damn doubleheader in Baltimore tomorrow.
enjoy some music:

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i was a little surprised that the Manchester United game was on television today. after watching the game, i almost wish it wouldn't have been as i didn't need that fucking stress. United defeated Norwich 2-1 in extra time to advance to the semifinals of the FA Cup. Harry Maguire scored near the death of extra time to win the game. Norwich was down to 10 men for all of extra time. i would have been beyond pissed if the worst team in the league would have forced them to penalties. oh well, i'll enjoy the alcohol tonight.
Smackdown and 205 Live were pretty good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night. they are off for the next month i believe.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH. i'll probably watch some UFC tonight as well.
it has rained on and off today. i think since yesterday we have had over an inch of rain so far. joy.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i believe it's supposed to get into the 90's here for the next few days. we had a little rain yesterday, but we're clearly in a fucking drought. our tree in the front is losing leaves before they even change color. joy.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday to the Rangers, 6-1. they won't play again until Friday when they play the Twins back in the Bronx. hopefully, the Yankees have a nice long run in them for the playoffs this season.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Dallas last night, 12-10. the defense was amazing last night. i still don't believe they have won these last two games without Drew Brees. they play Tampa Bay this coming Sunday.
Succession was great last night.
Ballers was good last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was pretty funny last night.
Last Week Tonight was hilarious as usual.
Power was great once again last night.
The Affair was excellent last night.
On Becoming A God in Central Florida was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and The Deuce. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
Manchester United plays Arsenal today. since mom wants to go out to eat after her doctor's appointment, i probably won't see any of the game.
i might watch some of the Monday night game tonight between the Bengals and Steelers.
as i told my mother in the Highlander on the way to the restaurant, you probably shouldn't mention suicide in front of the doctors. you're going to do it once and they are going to take you and i'm going to tell you you brought this on yourself. she told the doctor today that she's thought about it but is too much of a chicken to do it. these are the days when i think about going to work in a factory so my sister could go to college and my mother wouldn't have to get a second job to afford it since the asshole that played the role of father had gambled away all the college money. as my friend told me one night while drinking, a poet is pretty much the only thing i could be in this life.
we had lunch at Rusty Bucket today. it was great as usual.
the New York Yankees left a small village on base last night and lost to Oakland, 6-4. hopefully, they will avoid being swept tonight. i'm not holding my breath.
Big Brother was good last night. i can't believe it, but i guess Christie has saved herself and won't be voted out tonight, unless the fucking house flips again at the last minute. i get the feeling this is going to be the decision they will regret the most at the end.
i did get to watch Songland this morning. it was really good.
NXT was really good last night. i could watch Matt Riddle and Killian Dain wrestle forever.
here are some highlights from NXT UK yesterday:
Snowfall last night was fucking great. and i mean FUCKING GREAT.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and the series finale of Baskets.
i got up this morning after yet another night of spotty sleep. when i noticed that Manchester United's regular keeper was injured, i was thinking oh fuck, here we go again. not that i doubt his backup at all, it's just when the snowball starts rolling downhill... and then i saw Fellaini was the captain today. what fucking bizarre world did i wake up to? thankfully, United took care of business today and beat Sunderland 3-0. i was really happy to see Rashford score today. he's been due for a long time. next up is a game in Belgium in the Europa League on Thursday.
the New York Yankees pissed away a 4-1 lead yesterday and lost 5-4. on top of that, Gary Sanchez strained his bicep on his throwing arm and is now on the disabled list. hopefully they will avoid the sweep today. i doubt it though. the home opener tomorrow should be really interesting.
the New York Rangers lost yesterday 3-1. they play tonight at home against Pittsburgh. i'm not sure who will be getting rested tonight. apparently the coach believes they will just flip the switch on when the playoffs start. joy.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
ROH was really good last night as well.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Girls, Crashing, Last Week Tonight, Homeland, Billions and Feud: Bette and Joan.
i wrote 8 more poems last night, including a pretty long one (for me at least). i definitely have a nice batch of new ones to pick from now. i'd like to get one more writing session in before my next round of submissions.
my sister went back home earlier today. i had her take a picture of mom's leg, mostly so she would actually see with her own eyes that the surgery didn't get pushed back just for shits and giggles. hopefully that does the trick.
today is somewhat bittersweet for me. with the NHL regular season ending today, it will also be the end of fantasy sports for me. i've realized it's just not any fun anymore for me, and i'm too old to be wasting time on shit i don't enjoy.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
