welcome to the weekend...

i have been pretty busy today. i know when i don't eat lunch until 5 PM, it's been a long day.

i went to the post office to mail off the baseball cards i sold. that went pretty easy. after that, i had to go my mother's bank to make a deposit and get money out of her account. of course, since i'm not on her account, i couldn't do it the way she thought i could. thankfully, she gave me her ATM card, so i was able to get the money out that way. then, i had to drive 20 minutes in the other direction to go to my bank to make a deposit. after that, i went to Meijer to see if i could find some baseball cards and some other things mom needed. i did find some cards, more on that in a bit. i also got some hand soap that my mother loves and a paring knife. after that, i went to Kroger to get the stuff mom forgot to put on the grocery list. amazingly, i also found some toilet paper while i was there. there was none at Meijer earlier.

i got a hanger box of Topps Gallery 2020 and a hanger box of Bowman Platinum 2020 at Meijer. i got some really good cards in both, including another Luis Robert rookie card (Bowman Platinum). all in all, i think i probably made another good investment. then, this afternoon, i was on the Panini site looking at cards and found an Obi Toppin rookie card for $9.99. i jumped all over that. so yeah, i'm feeling pretty good about what i got done today.

NXT UK was really fucking good last night.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows. they are off until after Thanksgiving.

Young Sheldon was pretty good last night.

B Positive was hilarious last night.

The Unicorn was very funny last night.

Cari & Jemele (Won't) Stick to Sports was excellent last night.

Miz & Mrs was very good last night.

Total Bellas was good last night.

i did watch a good portion of the NFL game last night. Seattle defeated Arizona, 28-21.

so, i guess i'm rooting for the Knicks now...

Obi Toppin was drafted #8 last night, to the New York Knicks. you could tell from the emotion he was showing, going back home was a dream for him. he's from Brooklyn, and that's part of the reason i didn't want him to go to the Knicks... all the pressure of being the one to bring that team back to a championship level. of course, Obi is a dude that loves the pressure. so, i'm really hoping he has a season to remember his rookie year. win a few awards and keep being the humble, amazing athlete that has no limits to his abilities.

NXT was really damn good last night.

AEW was awesome last night.

The Masked Singer was a double elimination last night. i didn't get either one right.

I Can See Your Voice was pretty good last night.

i did get my laundry all done today. i also used all the boxes mom got for my baseball cards.

i need to go to the bank and the post office tomorrow as i got the money for my first sale of cards. i know i need to do some shopping tomorrow as well. mom remembered some things she forgot to put on the grocery list. plus, i'd love to get a fucking haircut tomorrow. this mop is driving me nuts.

i'll be on here tomorrow after i get all that done. hopefully, i'll get an early enough start to the day that i won't be running around forever.

the cold sunshine...

i didn't get to bed until 5 this morning. between all the cards i got yesterday, email and some other shit, i think i pretty much exhausted myself.

as for the cards, i did get some pretty good ones. i got James Conner's rookie card in the football box i got. the baseball box had a Carl Crawford game used relic hit in it. i also got a pretty good Bryce Harper card in that box. the 2020 Topps Gallery box had some really good cards in it, as did the 2020 Topps Chrome WWE box. i'll have to check the internet in a few weeks to see what these cards are selling for. but, i'm pretty confident i can make my money back on them when i sell them.

The Masked Singer was good last night. i was a little stunned that Nicole got the Snow Owls correct.

I Can See Your Voice was pretty good last night.

NXT was fucking great last night.

AEW was really damn good last night as well.

so of course, it rained all day...

today has been a war between me and arthritis. arthritis is winning, although i did manage to get a little work done on my baseball cards. i got all my cards from the 1970's in the same binder now. that will make it much easier to find shit. i got my order of toploaders in today as well, so i was able to get the cards into the hard plastic.

as for poems, plenty of lines dancing in my head, but nothing can find their way to the fucking page. joy.

NXT was really good last night.

AEW was fucking great last night.

Big Brother was pretty good last night. i think Memphis will be evicted tonight. at least, i think that's probably the best move for Cody and Enzo to make.

Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports was really good last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night. i'm still a little shocked at who Baby Alien was.

I Can See Your Voice was pretty good last night as well.

enjoy some music:

i should be on here tomorrow after i go to the bank. if some money arrives in the mail tomorrow, i'll be heading to the post office as well.

i think it's actually supposed to almost feel cold tomorrow. might have to break out my hoodie once again.

living with back pain...

today was one of those days where the pain is like a nagging child or an old friend that can't hold his liquor. i bent down to get a can at the grocery store and felt like i was in my late 80's. joy.

i went to 4 damn stores today and still couldn't find everything on the grocery list. i did buy some hockey cards today at Meijer. i got a box of Upper Deck MVP Hockey and 3 one touch magnetic card holders. that was all they had there, every damn box was empty. i did get some really good cards in the box i bought. hell, the Sidney Crosby card i got is going for $15 on Ebay. the gold card i got (Brady Tkachuk) in it is easily going for around $10 in places, so i think i made good investment in the box for $21.

i did watch the NFL game last night, at least most of it. the Titans defeated the Bills 42-16.

i did listen to episode 312 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

enjoy some music:

i saw this one woman in the grocery store today that was like the punk rock girl of my dreams. so, there will probably be some poems tonight. probably around 3 in the morning or so.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. hell, i'd love to sleep more than 4 hours for a change. i think i'm going to have to start my living better with chemistry campaign and start the drug use again to get some more sleep. joy.

welcome to October...

it's been rainy, windy and chilly today, so i actually feel like fall is fucking here. of course, when it's windy enough that as soon as you open your garage door, the door to your house that you just shut opens up, you know crazy is the word of the day.

i did make it to the bank today and deposited my check before the rain hit. thankfully, i got back home before it really started to storm.

the Yankees won the longest 9 inning game in major league history last night (4 hours, 50 minutes, which doesn't include 2 fucking rain delays) defeating Cleveland, 10-9. the game finished a little after 1 in the morning. both teams blew leads all night long. the Yankees scored two in the top of the 9th to finally get ahead and win. with the victory, they will play Tampa on Monday out in San Diego in the ALDS. i love a baseball series that is based on pure fucking hatred. it's going to be fun.

Big Brother was good last night. tonight is a triple eviction. i think Kevin will go first and i'm hoping for fucking chaos after that.

NXT was pretty good last night. i'm really looking forward to Takeover 31 this Sunday.

AEW was excellent last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night.

I Can See Your Voice was great last night. i love a game show where a person can risk it all and lose and leave with nothing.

Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports was really good last night.

here are your highlights from the NBA last night:

the New York Rangers made it official yesterday and bought out the last year of the contract of The King. as a fan, i'm crushed, as he will always be one of my favorite Rangers ever. but, if i take my emotions out of it, this move made the most sense. it gives them a ton of cap space for this season and takes away any mystery on the goalie position. Henrik Lundqvist will always be one the classiest people to ever wear that jersey and i can't wait for the day his number goes to the rafters at MSG.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Desus & Mero. i watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was very good.

i'm not sure if mom wants to watch her Jets play the Broncos tonight. i know i certainly don't want to.

i will be on here tomorrow after i pick up my pills at the pharmacy. i may do a quick search for some baseball cards, but i'm not expecting much luck.

thanks again to everyone that checked out my poems published earlier today. i do appreciate it.

flip the switch

the Yankees absolutely whipped Cleveland last night, 12-3. they got 7 off of the best pitcher in the AL this season, just about equaling what he had given up all season. it was wonderful to watch. hopefully, the bats will be hot tonight and they sweep the Indians.

i got my order from Amazon.com yesterday and my order from Topps.com today. all my cards that needed to be in hard plastic or sleeves finally are. now, i just need to get them in some kind of fucking order so i can start to try to sell them. those 2 Topps Heritage boxes i got today had some pretty good cards in them, especially the short prints. if i can sell those for what they are worth, my $40 investment will have a very nice return on it.

the grocery stores were a little crazy today. thankfully, i got everything that was on the list. not as many coupons this time around, so between the 4 stores i had to go to, i did my best to keep it under $200.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, NXT, AEW, Big Brother, Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports, The Masked Singer and I Can See Your Voice.

the NBA Finals start tonight between the Lakers and Heat. i am a LeBron fan, but i have hated the Lakers nearly my entire life. so, i'll be really happy if the Heat win and only happy for LeBron if the Lakers win the series.

i didn't get to see any of the Manchester United game today against Brighton in the League Cup. but, i was pleasantly thrilled when i saw that United won today 3-0. i'll be enjoying that alcohol tonight.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm hoping the Yankees won't be playing tomorrow, so i won't feel rushed trying to get this done.

hard to fucking believe this is the last day of September.

as soon as i heard the pop...

i rolled over in bed last night and heard my back pop. i knew any chance i had for decent sleep was gone. i basically have been icing my back all day long and trying to catch up on sleep. these are the days where i realize death would have been the smarter choice when i was younger.

the Yankees lost to Toronto last night, 14-1. hopefully, they will split the series tonight, but i won't be holding my breath.

Big Brother went as i thought it would go last night. i'm pretty sure Da'Vonne will be evicted tonight.

The Masked Singer looks like it is going to be fucking crazy again this season. i got the identity of The Dragon correct right from the first time he started to rap.

I Can See Your Voice was pretty good last night.

the greatest tag team that ever lived...

when i woke up this morning i saw the news about Road Warrior Animal dying at age 60. The Road Warriors were my favorite tag team growing up. they introduced me to Black Sabbath. they looked like true bad asses and were easily, at least in my mind, the greatest tag team that ever lived. it's so damn hard to even think that both Hawk and Animal are now dead. thanks for all the memories. may you rest in power and peace.

i really hate the new Blogger format. i'm sure i'll come to adjust to it, but i will be kicking and screaming all the fucking way.

i was up until 7 this morning. but, i finally got a nibble on the baseball cards. i'm really hoping this sale will go through, as i need the fucking money.

the Yankees hit seven home runs last night and defeated the Blue Jays, 13-2. this was the first time in franchise history they hit six or more home runs in back to back games. holy shit. they go for the sweep tonight.

NXT was really good last night.

AEW was fucking crazy last night. loved it.

Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports was really good last night.

making up for lost time...

so, i got some good news at my doctor's appointment yesterday. my A1C is down (from 7.7 to 7.1); i have lost weight; blood pressure is looking good; my diabetic foot exam went fine; all in all, much better than the last few visits. i go back in December to have my physical, etc.

after that, i went to the grocery store. neither of them were that busy. of course, when i got done at the big store, i went to put the groceries in the back of the Highlander. i quickly realized what i had forgot from the day before. i forgot to take mom's walker out of the Highlander from our drive over to Indiana. so, the groceries had to go into the backseat. it never fails...

the Yankees actually won last night, 7-2 over Toronto. they start a HUGE series at home tonight against Baltimore. they really need to start stringing some victories together NOW.

Big Brother was good last night. i'm pretty sure Bayleigh will be evicted tonight. i'm hoping for fireworks.

i did do a little poetry work this afternoon. i think i know where my next 29 poems are going to. i'm hoping to get that all done tomorrow morning.

i guess my sister is coming down this weekend. we're celebrating her birthday from this past week.

mom said something about wanting to go out and get her a card. so, i'm guessing if she is up to it, we'll be doing that tomorrow.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
