a step forward and then of course...

i always love how the muse likes to tell me of the men she's flying all over the world to meet. part of me believes this is to make me jealous. part of me thinks she's seeking the approval of a friend for her happiness. the conversation today just felt different. maybe that is my own feelings getting wrapped into this or maybe i'm picking up on something. but as i watch the amount of friends i have shrink into barely a handful anymore, i often wonder about my own loneliness. as much as i want to believe that there is someone out there that actually wants to love me that doesn't have suitcase after suitcase of baggage that comes with it, the more i believe that sadly, there isn't. and that's one of those truths that kicks you right in the dick and dares you to get back up, just so it can kick you again. and my days of being a glutton for punishment are running out.

i did write 2 poems today while mom was doing her physical therapy. i typed those up when we got back home. hopefully, i will get my ass in gear and get some poems out soon.

The Voice was really good last night.

Monday Night Raw was good last night.

i did watch some of the NFL game last night between Denver and Buffalo. talk about inventing new ways to lose.

nothing like being below zero...

as soon as i opened the blinds this morning, i could tell it was colder than shit outside. good times.

the Dayton Flyers won last night at home against Rhode Island, 53-51. i watched most of the game on the television. i'm happy i wasn't there as i'm sure i would have been miserable given that Dayton couldn't put the ball into the ocean last night. but thankfully, they actually won one of these ugly ass games for a change.

the New York Rangers pissed away a 2 goal lead again last night. they lost to Minnesota, 3-2. the ceremony to retire The King's #30 last night was excellent, as usual.

the season finale of Chillin Island was very good last night.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was very good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live.

i'm sure i will watch some college basketball today. i am planning on watching the WWE Royal Rumble on Peacock tonight.

other than that, if i get a wild hair up my ass, i might go to Menards. or i will watch it snow on the east coast.

until tomorrow kids...

Thursday, October 1, 2020

welcome to October...

it's been rainy, windy and chilly today, so i actually feel like fall is fucking here. of course, when it's windy enough that as soon as you open your garage door, the door to your house that you just shut opens up, you know crazy is the word of the day.

i did make it to the bank today and deposited my check before the rain hit. thankfully, i got back home before it really started to storm.

the Yankees won the longest 9 inning game in major league history last night (4 hours, 50 minutes, which doesn't include 2 fucking rain delays) defeating Cleveland, 10-9. the game finished a little after 1 in the morning. both teams blew leads all night long. the Yankees scored two in the top of the 9th to finally get ahead and win. with the victory, they will play Tampa on Monday out in San Diego in the ALDS. i love a baseball series that is based on pure fucking hatred. it's going to be fun.

Big Brother was good last night. tonight is a triple eviction. i think Kevin will go first and i'm hoping for fucking chaos after that.

NXT was pretty good last night. i'm really looking forward to Takeover 31 this Sunday.

AEW was excellent last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night.

I Can See Your Voice was great last night. i love a game show where a person can risk it all and lose and leave with nothing.

Cari & Jemele Stick to Sports was really good last night.

here are your highlights from the NBA last night:

the New York Rangers made it official yesterday and bought out the last year of the contract of The King. as a fan, i'm crushed, as he will always be one of my favorite Rangers ever. but, if i take my emotions out of it, this move made the most sense. it gives them a ton of cap space for this season and takes away any mystery on the goalie position. Henrik Lundqvist will always be one the classiest people to ever wear that jersey and i can't wait for the day his number goes to the rafters at MSG.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Desus & Mero. i watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was very good.

i'm not sure if mom wants to watch her Jets play the Broncos tonight. i know i certainly don't want to.

i will be on here tomorrow after i pick up my pills at the pharmacy. i may do a quick search for some baseball cards, but i'm not expecting much luck.

thanks again to everyone that checked out my poems published earlier today. i do appreciate it.
