WrestleMania 41 is this weekend. since i have seen every WrestleMania, i don't plan on ending that streak anytime soon. so, plenty of the next few blogs will have enough wrestling talk to drive you mad. i totally get it if you skip all that to find the other stuff. but, if you are interested in it, enjoy.
before i get to any of that, here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
Smackdown was excellent last night.
the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was good last night. it was long as fuck, but i figured it would be.
the Yankees won last night against Tampa Bay, 1-0. hopefully, they will win again this afternoon.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
i did catch some of the NBA playoffs last night.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i think i got nearly 6 hours of sleep last night. not sure how that happened. i did write 5 poems last night. 4 for the book and 1 for the general pile. i also need to come up with a title for the book. if anyone has any suggestions, i'd love to hear them.
the New York Rangers won last night at Las Vegas, 2-1. i certainly didn't expect that victory.
i did watch a good portion of both NFL playoff games yesterday. i'm sure i will watch most of all 3 today.
Austin City Limits was excellent last night.
AEW was ok last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Agency and Dexter: Original Sin.
so, Manchester United and Arsenal are 1-1 in extra time of their FA Cup match today. United is down to 10 men, so i'm not looking forward to the rest of this.
i am looking forward to the NFL games today. Denver at Buffalo, Packers at Eagles and Washington at Tampa Bay.
at some point today, i will probably doing my laundry.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i have done my best to try to do nothing today. not exactly possible, but a fucker can dream right. i did have a few funny lines pop in my head for a poem, but i haven't been able to fully flush it out yet. so, i am looking forward to that. i didn't sleep well at all. mom for some fucking reason was talking loud as fuck to herself at 5:46 AM. that woke me up. i was able to get back to sleep until i woke up at 7:10. i might have got a hour or two watching the hockey game this afternoon. needless to say, i know i will get my best sleep when i die.
Big Brother was good last night. Kimo got evicted. Chelsie is the new HOH, so she will be in the final 3.
The Old Man was excellent last night.
NJPW was another rerun last night. so, i did watch some of the baseball and NFL games last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Inside the NFL. i will watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.
the New York Rangers play their final preseason game tonight at the Islanders.
the baseball playoffs start back up tomorrow.
i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning, most likely.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
nothing like surfing YouTube, looking for videos for the blog and your phone goes nuts with tornado warnings. that tends to get my attention. i went out to the living room and mom had the news on. i looked at the radar and noticed it wasn't getting near us, so back to the computer. joy.
i just got back from Kroger. nothing like being in the middle of something and remembering something you forgot to do while your back was killing you this afternoon. now back to regularly scheduled programming...
Monday Night Raw was great last night. i am so happy for Jey Uso.
The Voice was very good last night. i won't be shocked if the winner actually comes from the first episode.
i did catch some of both NFL games last night.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT and Deadliest Catch.
the New York Yankees start a series tonight at home against Baltimore. the magic number to win the AL East is 1. i hope they will be partying later tonight.
the New York Rangers play the Islanders tonight in preseason hockey.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
well, the fog finally lifted but there still was no sun today. i'm starting to think maybe it is a myth. i had to go to Meijer today to get some things. the lightbulbs we got for the new kitchen light haven't worked the way we were hoping. so, i just got some basic ones and they are working fine now. i had to get some coffee and some other stuff. i saved over $25 on everything and kept it under $100.
i did watch Killers of the Flower Moon last night. it was excellent. as i said to my mother around the middle of the movie, the saddest thing about this is all of this is based on true stories. if you have a spare 3 1/2 hours, i highly recommend checking this one out.
NJPW was excellent last night.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:

thankfully, we didn't lose power like some people around here did. but, we are definitely in the summer cycle again. heat up during the day and then a chance for some oh fuck storms at night. good times.
the Yankees lost the first game of the doubleheader yesterday, 11-4. they won the second game, 6-2. hopefully, they will win the series this afternoon.
WWE Money in the Bank yesterday was great.
AEW Collision was very good last night.
i did catch some of the highlights from the MLS last night.
Brandi Carlile: In the Canyon Haze - Live from Laurel Canyon was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:

the USMNT takes on Trinidad & Tobago tonight. they need to win to make sure they win their group in the Gold Cup.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
my father would have been 76 years old today. thank god he's fucking dead.
it has been threatening to rain all damn day. and of course, as soon as i got out into the driveway to go to Rite Aid, it started to rain. thankfully, my pills were ready and i found what mom needed pretty quickly.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i'm really hoping SummerSlam this Saturday is going to be good.
the two episodes of Miz & Mrs last night were hilarious.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT and What We Do in the Shadows.
the Yankees play at the Mets tonight. two game subway series. hopefully, the Yankees will find a way to win.
the Red Scare play tonight in the TBT. they are playing the team that eliminated them two years ago i believe, so that should be interesting.
i have no damn clue what i am doing for dinner tonight. i need to pick up the trash and get that out. i did get most of mom's laundry done yesterday. of course, i wasn't thrilled making her bed at 1:30 in the morning. joy.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
now, i'm sure most people believe that i am spoiled as a Yankees fan. of course, most of them don't realize i was a Yankees fan back in 1982, long before the 90's dynasty spawned a ton of annoying fucks. but, given my hatred of losing and love of winning, these last few years as a Yankees fan has been hard to swallow. so, to see them sign Aaron Boone to a 3 year contract extension today was a bit infuriating. maybe they are trying to redefine insanity now. i'm not sure if just changing a few coaches is really going to change the mojo of the team. Hal might have to actually channel his father and go spend some money on some big names again and hope it all clicks. and as much as i hate to say it, i almost wish the Red Sox win the World Series so the Yankees go nuts and really go big on everything.
the New York Rangers stole a win last night in Toronto. they won 2-1 in OT. Igor Shesterkin had 40 saves last night and absolutely stole the show. Panarin scored in OT. they next play Thursday in Nashville.
The Voice was really good last night.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The Voice and NXT.
the NBA season kicks off tonight, so i'll probably watch some basketball tonight.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done and after Manchester United plays in the Champions League.
i did write a poem this morning that i think is really good. hopefully, i can squeeze a few more out real soon.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i think i am averaging something around 4 hours of sleep at best in my bed now. but, put a little ice on my back in my massage chair, and i'm out in a few minutes. joy.
so, the Yankees won yesterday against the Twins, 7-1. today's game got postponed yesterday because of the hurricane/tropical storm in the area. that game will be made up in September i think. the Yankees start a series in Atlanta tomorrow night.
SummerSlam was pretty good last night. i definitely was surprised to see Becky Lynch and Brock Lesnar return. i didn't mind them making Becky the Smackdown women's champ, but the match with Bianca should have lasted longer than 26 seconds. and people wonder why so many of us think Vince is a fucking racist.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was the Yola episode that never aired on the PBS channel here when it was supposed to. it was excellent.
so i got up this morning and fed the birds and watered the tomatoes and got my breakfast made in time for the Manchester United game. i wasn't pleased with Ole's starting lineup, or the officiating, or the fact that United was too fucking sloppy today at Southampton. now sure, a 1-1 draw keeps the away streak going, but that is two fucking points dropped that will surely come back to haunt them at the end of the season, just like last season.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Heels and Last Week Tonight. i'll be watching NXT Takeover 36 for most of the evening on Peacock.
since the Yankees aren't playing today, i decided it would be a good day to get my laundry done. i know i will playing chauffeur just about every day this coming week.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday will be even better.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, i was hoping for the best last night when the USA took on Mexico in the Concacaf Nations League final. when Mexico scored in the first 2 minutes, i wasn't happy at all. thankfully, the USA tied it in the 27th minute. it was the second half where this game became a classic. between the injuries, the constant skirmishes, goals and penalty kicks, it had a little of everything. when Weston McKinnie tied the game at 2, i just had a feeling that the boys were going to find a way. Captain America Christian Pulisic scored a penalty kick in the 114th minute to make 3-2. and then Ethan Horvath stopped a penalty kick from Mexico in the 124th minute. i'm pretty sure everyone in the neighborhood could hear me screaming by then. this was the first time in over a decade that the USA came from behind to beat Mexico in a final. i'm so hoping that this is the start of a golden generation that takes the sport to unknown heights in this country. USA won last night, 3-2. i'm still buzzing all these hours later.
the Yankees got swept last night, losing to Boston 6-5 in 10 innings. the umpiring once again was horrific. i'm not sure how a pitch 3 inches off the plate is a strike in 2021. if these games i have watched this year has shown me anything, the fucking robot umpires couldn't be any worse than this shit. thankfully, the Yankees are off tonight.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs yesterday:
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

my order from Repacked Wax arrived today. i always love when you pay less than $40 for 10 packs of cards and you get around $200 worth of cards in return. some of the highlights were a 1974 Topps Lou Brock, a 1976 Topps Ferguson Jenkins, a 1991 Bowman Mike Mussina rookie card and a 1982 Donruss Cal Ripken Jr. rookie card. that was the last card from the last pack i opened. i couldn't believe it. so yeah, if you happen to be interested in any cards, just email me and tell me what you are looking for. there's decent chance i probably have it. here is my email address: jcampb4593@aol.com
i also got a jury duty notice today. hopefully they understand why i can't do that shit.

so, i had Texas in my Final Four this year. silly me. i did get some of my upsets correct, but when you lose a Final Four team this early, you have no chance to win any bracket challenge, etc.
anytime the Dayton Flyers took the lead against Memphis yesterday in the second half of their NIT game, they would immediately shit the bed. that is a recipe on how to fucking lose. Dayton lost, 71-60. i think Memphis finished the game on a 15-2 run. thank god this season is now over.
ROH was really good last night.
the New York Rangers won last night at Washington, 3-1.
the Yankees lost last night to the Orioles, 2-1. they play the Blue Jays today.
enjoy some music:

so, my aunt (and next door neighbor) died last night. it wasn't a surprise for any of us as her health had really gotten bad the last few weeks. the surprise was she had decided years ago to be cremated and never told anyone. that gave me a little laugh today. thanks for the laughs Ethel, at least you lived long enough to watch Trump lose.
my doctor visit went well today. my A1C was down. my weight was down. my blood pressure was perfect. best part, i think i was there for less than 30 minutes.
so, when i got out to the Highlander, i saw that Manchester United was up 1-0 against AC Milan in the Europa League. of course, by the time i got home, the final score was 1-1 as AC Milan scored the crucial away goal in the 92nd minute. fuck me.
the Yankees won today over the Phillies, 6-1. they defeated the Pirates last night, 6-5.
NXT was very good last night.
AEW was very good last night as well.
Snowfall was excellent last night.
The Masked Singer looks like it is going to be fucking crazy this season.
enjoy some music:

the New York Rangers play tonight at Boston. hopefully, they'll find a way to get a victory tonight. i'm not holding my breath though.
to top off everything today, it's fucking raining. these are the days i recall a dream i had as a teenager about living with a morphine drip permanently attached at all times.
i did a little baseball card shopping in the last 24 hours, all online. i have some shit coming from Walk Off Wax, Repacked Wax and Topps.com. hopefully, i'll get some really good cards in those. i know the card i am getting from Topps.com. i couldn't resist a Don Mattingly card designed by Action Bronson. it is part of the Topps Project70. my Walk Off Wax order has already shipped. i also got some football cards with the order from Repacked Wax.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i don't think i have any appointments to take mom to, so hopefully it will be a quiet Friday where nobody dies.
i do think i'll finally be eligible to get the COVID vaccine tomorrow. they are finally allowing people with Type 2 diabetes to get it.
