i found out right before i fell asleep last night that the pope had died. i find it curious that one of the last pieces of shit to see him alive was J.D. Vance. now, i'm not saying one thing killed the other, just saying it is interesting. in a weird way, last night was full of tragedy. be it wrestling, tv shows, reality... damn.
night 2 of WrestleMania was damn near perfect. the show was much better paced than night 1. i liked the matches better. the Joe Hendry surprise was actually a surprise. it was great to see Becky Lynch back. then, the main event started. Cena's win over Cody felt completely anticlimactic. now, i have learned to let everything play out before casting judgement, but this certainly fell flat. and i know in wrestling history, when your main event falls flat, it takes away from the whole show.
The Last of Us last night was shocking, mostly because i didn't know what was coming since i never played the video game.
The Americas last night was the behind the scenes of how they made the show. that was fascinating to watch.
The Righteous Gemstones was hilarious last night. just two episodes left.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was very good last night.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs yesterday:
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs yesterday:
Manchester United lost yesterday at home to Wolves, 1-0.
the Yankees won 4-0 yesterday against Tampa Bay. i couldn't believe the official scorer took away the no hitter that Max Fried was working on. and i couldn't believe the umpires and the replay booth took away a home run from Aaron Judge that was clearly fair. the Yankees start a series tonight in Cleveland.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
nothing on the DVR tonight. i will be watching Monday Night Raw on Netflix. the Raw after WrestleMania is always a crazy one.
below are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
mom has physical therapy today. i will hopefully write some poems there.
i should be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, most likely.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i do love that today happens to be 4/20 and Easter. they go hand in hand most of the time.
night 1 of WrestleMania was good. a few surprises, probably nothing bigger than what happened in the pre-show. WWE has purchased the Mexican promotion AAA. that floored me. i have always been a fan of lucha libre and can only hope that the WWE machine will make it even bigger. as for the matches, i love that Jey Uso won the title. the Paul Heyman double backstab to end up with Seth Rollins was very good. hopefully, it will be even better tonight.
earlier in the day, NXT Stand & Deliver was really good.

the season finale of The White Lotus was crazy last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was hilarious last night.

so, i just got off the phone with someone at Humana. my Medicaid cards didn't show up again today. the lady told me they were mailed out on the 24th. i said when i called last week, i was told they were mailed out on the 21st. she tells me they were requested on the 21st, but mailed out on the 24th. give it a little more time. i wanted to fucking scream. so yeah, i have an appointment later today to get my blood work done. i won't be fasting like the doctor wanted. they'll get over it. i have to check in online for my doctor's appointment tomorrow. i was hoping to have my new insurance for that. and i have pills i need to pick up. fuck me.
the Yankees won yesterday, 12-3, to sweep the Brewers. they are off today and start a series tomorrow at home against Arizona.
my luck ran out yesterday on college basketball. i only got 2 of the Final Four right.
The Americas was good last night, at least what i got to see. we had storms most of the night and tornado watches and warnings.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.
Yellowjackets was fucking insane, as usual.
The White Lotus was great last night. season finale is next week.

so, do you think the Medicaid cards came in the mail yesterday? do you think the mail was delivered at a time where i could actually get in touch with someone at Humana about those Medicaid cards? the obvious answer is no. by the time the mail came yesterday, the Saturday hours were over at Humana. there was no point to bitch and scream at mom, she had nothing to do with this. anyone that knows me, when i get really quiet, there is nothing but pure evil going through my head. now, i have to at least assume the cards will be in the mail on Monday. then, i need to get all that shit i have wanted to do for the last 4 fucking days done before i have my doctor's appointment on Tuesday. and the next shoe to drop... i have 1 pill left in my Rybelsus prescription. if the Medicaid cards don't show up, i need to come up with 3 grand to be able to get those pills. and they tell me death isn't a reasonable option at this point...
the Yankees won yesterday at home against the Brewers, 20-9. the Yankees hit 3 home runs on the first 3 pitches of the game. craziest fucking shit i have ever seen. Aaron Judge ended up hitting 3 of the team's 9 total home runs. he had 8 RBI in the game. they go for the sweep of the Brewers today.
the New York Rangers won last night at San Jose, 6-1.
i did watch some of March Madness last night.
AEW Collision was ok last night.
SNL was good last night.
i did watch the movie Queer last night. i am a huge fan of William S. Burroughs, so i was really looking forward to this movie. it didn't disappoint.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
i got 13 out of 16 of the sweet sixteen correct, so i am pretty happy about that.

i think Monday Night Raw is on Netflix this afternoon. i am going to try to watch that when i get home from taking mom to her doctor's appointment.
i talked to my insurance agent this morning. i finally got the letter he was telling me to call him about back in January. i guess on March 1st, Medicaid approved my application. he sent the application in December of last year. he was happy that they accepted me as it should drive the prices down for me. i had one question though. if i got approved on March 1st and didn't know about it until March 22nd, what 3 to 4 day period am i to believe that my Medicaid card will be sent to me? he believes i should already have it, as do i. he did give the number to cancel my other insurance with. thankfully, that hasn't been paid yet for next month.
i'm not going to cancel the insurance until the cards come, that's for sure.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i got my usual 4 hours of sleep last night. but, this time, i got it all at once. i didn't wake up every 45 minutes or so. amazingly, i actually felt refreshed waking up this morning. what a concept.
so, i lost 2 sweet sixteen teams yesterday. if that is all i lose and i get 14 of the 16 right, i will be happy. i doubt i will get that lucky today.
the Dayton Flyers lost yesterday at Chattanooga, 87-72. that ends the college careers of 5 players. who knows how many transfer out or in. i just know the team will look different next season.
the New York Rangers won yesterday at home over Vancouver, 5-3.
i did watch plenty of college basketball yesterday.

i'm sure i'm not the only one that felt that punch to the gut today when the news hit that Pee Wee Herman was dead. Paul Reubens played that character so damn well that you can't imagine anyone else on earth ever doing it. i remember watching the Pee Wee Herman Show when i was probably too young to watch it. and then came the movies, Pee Wee's Playhouse, etc. that always made me laugh. and it taught me a valuable lesson in how uncomfortable can be fucking hilarious. to know that cancer was the reason for his death at 70 years old crushed me. cancer is probably one of the things i hate the most in this world. thank you for allowing a young kid to laugh at stupid shit and actually have fun.
i went and got my new glasses and sunglasses today. my vision is horrible and i can tell my eyes are only getting worse. but, i can see way better with these than my old ones. hopefully, i won't need new ones for a few years (fingers crossed).
the Yankees lost last night at Baltimore, 9-3. they start a series tonight at home against Tampa Bay.
i did watch a good amount of the Leagues Cup last night.
i went to Meijer yesterday since i had a few coupons that were going to expire. i shocked mom by getting dinner last night with a pizza at Meijer for less than $3.
