so, i caught mom sleepwalking last night. at least she was using her rollator. she swore she heard other people inside of the house. i told her, unless you can hear inside of my head, then no.
the New York Rangers won last night in Columbus, 4-0. that puts the Rangers in a playoff spot for right now. they face Edmonton today at home.
i did watch some MLS games last night.
AEW Collision was pretty good last night.
i did watch a ton of basketball yesterday.

so, last night i fell asleep thinking of the girlfriend i had when i was 23 years old. and trying to wrap my head around that was 25 fucking years ago. i'm guessing that crept into my mind because i was listening to Prince songs last night as i fell asleep.
i did make it to the bank and Rite Aid this morning. at least the sun was out.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.

so, i was getting in line to check out at the grocery store today. i got all my items on the belt and then, there was a shift change. my neighbor from across the street, the one who likes to take pictures of the birds in our front yard while she's in her night gown was now my cashier. i try to avoid her line as much as i can. i guess my luck has officially run out. good times. the grocery stores today weren't too bad. i was able to find just about everything on the list.
so, let me get the shitty Manchester United news out of the way. United lost yesterday, 1-0. it was painful to watch that shit honestly. to see them exit out of the Champions League so meekly was disturbing. and i have really no hope that they are going to finish in the top 4 this season in the Premier League. honestly, it might be best for them to just have a massive sell off and start the fuck over.
the New York Rangers won last night against Anaheim, 4-3 in OT.
i did watch a good portion of the First Four games last night.
tonight, Wright State plays against Bryant and then Rutgers will play Notre Dame.
the Dayton Flyers play tonight at Toledo in the NIT. i won't be surprised if Dayton loses tonight.

a phone call from my doctor's office. they wanted to change my appointment today until June. fuck me. so, i had to run out and get some cough medicine and some more NyQuil. i figure, between all that and some Jack Daniels, i should feel better in a few days. i drank some milk today. that's my test to see how sick i am. when i am really sick, milk tastes like shit. it tasted like milk today, so i don't think i'm that far away from knocking this out.

the Dayton Flyers lost about 14 hours or so ago. i'm still fucking pissed. now, it was the perfect storm... Obi Toppin got injured in the first half and never was the same again in the game. Ryan Mikesell shit the bed last night, 4 fucking fouls and no fucking points. but, the biggest factor in Dayton's 64-55 loss to Saint Louis was their head coach, Anthony Grant. i think Saint Louis coach Travis Ford put it best in the post game, when asked why his team switched to a 1-3-1 zone defense in the game... well, we know their coach doesn't make any in game adjustments. bingo. exactly. i warned everyone 2 fucking years ago that hiring Anthony Grant was the wrong move and it signaled a willingness to accept mediocrity. and to watch that motherfucker hope that Dayton gets picked to play in the NIT disgusted me to the nth degree. when all the transfers get eligible next season, that should be the make or break season for Coach Grant. if they play down to their competition next season, piss away leads left and right and lose their first game in the A10 tournament once again, he MUST be fired. now, i know damn well, the current athletic director doesn't have the fucking nuts needed to do what must be done. it would have made so much more fucking sense to go find the next great young coach and watch him develop and be surrounded by great facilities. instead, they go out and hire someone who won't leave them, because he graduated from the school. for the prices the fans pay, mediocrity shouldn't be the fucking goal. and they can tell everyone time and time again that it isn't, but this whole season, masked as an improvement, was one of those seasons where you could see the coach is literally incapable of getting the best from the team. and for someone who came from the NBA, you would think the motherfucker would understand how to take advantage of time of possession, mismatches, etc. NOPE. last night was as depressing as much as it was an anger inducing shit show. to see Dayton's coach get out-coached by someone who fucking sucks just as much was intolerable to watch. and if they do get selected to play in the NIT, it would be to play on the road since UD Arena will be hosting the First Four. it doesn't really matter, they'll lose that game as well.
the New York Rangers lost last night at Calgary, 5-1. i might have watched 5 minutes of the game or so. lose for Hughes boys. they play again tonight at Minnesota. should be another loss. start playing the kids more, please.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

NJPW was really good last night.

i had a little writing session last night around 3 in the morning. i went to some pretty dark places while writing. i got 6 poems out of it and somewhere around 6 hours of sleep. i believe i will call that a catharsis. i typed those poems up this afternoon after i got home from the grocery store. the poems are really good. if i get a wild hair up my ass i will try to do some poetry submissions this weekend.
i went 13-3 in the tournament yesterday. of course, 2 of those losses were teams i had in the Sweet 16 and Final Four (fuck you Arizona). oh well.
Gotham was really fucking good last night.
Will & Grace was hilarious last night.
Atlanta proved once again last night why it is the best show on television.
Lip Sync Battle was crazy last night.

the grocery store today was about managing my frustrations. they were out of plenty of the shit i wanted. so, it was about doing quick math in my head and deciding this was not the right time for a trip to jail.
i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the FA Cup quarterfinals. if they lose tomorrow, i will be apoplectic.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. if you go out drinking tomorrow, don't get arrested. and do remember what the fuck green beer will do to you.

well, let's see. we're roughly 6 hours into the first "real" day of the NCAA tournament and i've already lost 1 sweet sixteen team. so, i guess things are going as planned.
both games at the First Four last night were pretty good. i was rooting for NC Central in their game against UC Davis, mostly because they had the better band and better cheerleaders. and of course, the token white guy on the bench took me back to my playing days. sadly, UC Davis won 67-63.
in the second game, Providence was on fire in the first half. that certainly made all the Catholics in the building happy. i'm not Catholic. Providence managed to find a way to blow a 17 point lead and lose to USC 75-71. that certainly made me happy.
the parking lot fiasco from night one was better but still not good enough. apparently they must be letting interns or the mentally disabled run this shit now.
The Voice last night was a recap of the blind auditions. i'm really looking forward to the battle rounds.
NXT was really good last night. i never get tired of watching Chris Hero wrestle, or should i say Kassius Ohno.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Baskets.
Manchester United won today to advance to the quarterfinals of the Europa League. i was hoping for a larger win than 1-0 today, but it wasn't meant to be. i'm hoping the injury to Paul Pogba isn't serious. next up for United will be a game at Middlesbrough on Sunday.
just my luck, tomorrow there is supposed to be an ice storm as i'm trying to get mom to the outpatient center for the surgery class and all her pre-operation testing. oh joy.
i will probably be on here after that. i am definitely going to try to be on here before Dayton plays against Wichita State tomorrow night.
if you filled out some brackets, i hope all your picks are doing well. i haven't lost any big teams yet, so i think i'm still good.

i woke up to the phone ringing this morning. it was 8:45. i believe i finally fell asleep around 3 in the morning. so, on the bright side, i did get more than 5 hours of sleep for a change.
the basketball games yesterday were not good. Florida Gulf Coast destroyed Fairleigh Dickinson 96-65. honestly, the game never felt it was even that close. in the second game, Wichita State started the second half out on fire and eventually buried Vanderbilt 70-50. the section i was sitting in was next to the Vanderbilt fans. talk about a bunch of sad rich kids by the end of the night. i think i might have smiled for the first time in weeks.
tonight could be more of the same. Southern plays Holy Cross and Tulsa plays Michigan. all i really hope for is 2 games that are a little more competitive.
after we got out of the arena, it was after midnight. we went to Waffle House and then got some gas. it was well after 1 in the morning when we got back home.
instead of going right to bed, i actually checked my emails and caught up on some shows. i had 112 emails, so it's a good thing i did.
Total Divas was its usual hot mess. The Voice was pretty good. the person i follow on Google+ made it through, so i was happy about that.
i had to take mom to another physical therapy appointment this morning. why she didn't change this from a day we had games on is beyond me. after that, i had to take her into work to get some things done. i get a feeling this is going to be my life for as long as she continues to work. well, at least i wrote 6 poems while waiting for her at the physical therapy place. i'll type those up sometime this week i suppose.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i'll watch NXT on WWE Network sometime after i get back home.
the New York Rangers start a west coast trip tonight at Anaheim. they really need to start winning some games if they want home ice in the playoffs. the west coast wouldn't be my choice to start that streak, but they don't have a choice. hopefully i will get to see the last few minutes of a win when i get home from Waffle House tonight. lord knows, i could use a victory beer.
i will probably be on here tomorrow sometime after Manchester United plays Liverpool. i will most likely be in a shitty mood, either for my tournament bracket already having some losses or United has been knocked out of the Europa League. good times.
that's all for me kids. i hope this finds everyone doing something or someone fun.

i had a hard time sleeping last night. i couldn't tell if it was due to yet another fucking cold front moving through here or the impending doom with Manchester United. after this morning, i have my answer.
to sit there and watch United lose to its biggest rival 3-0 is beyond humbling. the way they played, they probably should have lost by 7. of course, that third penalty kick awarded was a complete fucking joke. but, what would a Liverpool vs. United game be without Vidic getting thrown out. next up will be getting eliminated from the Champions League and then another humbling from the noisy neighbors after that. then, and probably only then, maybe the club will realize they hired the wrong guy for manager. and realize they can't afford to drop the ball yet again with the next transfer market. but, knowing the stubborn fucks that run the club, they will simply hold the course and believe the massive fucking hole in United's midfield will fix itself.
could anyone imagine what i would be like if i drank after losses?
the New York Rangers play at home this afternoon against San Jose. Hank gets his first chance to break the franchise record for wins by a goalie. i'd love to see him get it at home and against one of the best teams in the league.
sometime around the 3rd period of that game the selection show will start for the NCAA tournament. i'm really hoping the Dayton Flyers make it and don't play in the First Four. i don't think my nerves would be able to take that, since i'll be going to the First Four games at UD Arena. if they don't make it, i honestly will blow a fucking fuse like i haven't in years. think destruction and blood and cops being called... good times.
i am looking forward to my new lineup for the Sunday night shows. tonight will start off with the return of Total Divas. and then go to Girls and the episode of Vice i missed earlier in the week. and then over to Showtime to watch Shameless, House of Lies, and Episodes. so, as you can see, blowing my fuse won't last long.
i did catch ROH last night, well, early this morning. i fell asleep before, during, and after it aired the first time. something about that chair and the heat being on and i am gone. another really strong episode. i really am excited by the tag team of Hanson and Rowe. they have some serious potential. plus, you can never go wrong with any episode involving Kevin Steen.
well, that's all for today. i'm off to go battle my nerves, watch some sports, and hopefully have a better than expected evening. hope this finds everyone well. if i contact someone for bail money, you'll know exactly how the rest of my day went.
later bitches...

i got a check in the mail today that i wasn't expecting until next week. good times. got my shit together and made it to the bank before 2 PM. made a nice deposit, nice enough that i will be able to pay for some shit i bought recently without any problems.
i was hoping the New York Rangers were going to play better last night. coming off a 9-2 ass whipping, i figured they would be chomping at the bit to get back out there. i was wrong. the effort may have been marginally better than the previous game, but nothing else was. a 6-0 loss in Anaheim. needless to say, this shit is getting frustrating and the season is only a week old. fuck me.
The Big Bang Theory was hilarious as always last night. funny at how dirty the show really is, especially for 8 PM.
Chicago won last night which keeps me alive for another week in the NFL knockout pools. this is the longest i've survived ever.
i plan on watching team USA play Jamaica here in a few hours in World Cup Qualifying. i'm hoping they win as i haven't had a victory beer in quite some time.
other than that, i imagine this evening will be spent flipping through shows on the Food Network and the zillion music channels i have. and if i get really bored, i might turn on some baseball or catch some high school football somewhere in the country. or, watch a movie. i'm putting my money on just sleeping.
that's all for today. i got the sweeping done early and will soon be in my chair, getting the voice ready. i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully the weather cooperates and the drinks are flowing freely.
woke up with no back pain. a true holy shit moment. fed the cats and realize i'm going to struggle to come up with names if all of these little fuckers make it through the winter. had a little breakfast and turned on Manchester United.
after a first half of missed chances, hello second half explosion. 4 goals. 2 from the new kids that were both spectacular. a lovely win while resting a few key pieces for the upcoming Champions League match. after now seeing 4 of the 5 signings from the silly season, i do believe Sir Alex has struck gold again. this may be a fun ride after all.
next, Ohio State. the college football team i've rooted for since birth. watching these entitled pricks play can be fucking frustrating as hell at times. but, they pulled out a win over Cal. hopefully, Urban Meyer can whip these fuckers into shape and start destroying teams in the near future.
then, although i didn't get to watch the game, the Yankees. judging from the highlights i've seen after the game, a nice win from the boys. actually got 2!!!!!!!!!!!!! hits with runners in scoring position. quite the fucking concept there. decent pitching and a little tack on baseball. you'd be amazed at how often over the last 200 years that has worked. at least a share of first place for another day. maybe they can win 2 games in a row twice in a week for a change.
needless to say, i'm in a good mood. i'll chill out for the rest of the evening with some more football, Saturday Night Live's season premiere and, if i'm still awake, some Ring Of Honor before i get a quick sleep in. plenty of work to do in the morning for my 3 fantasy football games.
on a poetry note, my book is coming along. barring any setbacks, Sofisticated White Trash, should see the light of day soon.
