the wind was very ferocious last night. i was surprised the satellite only went out once.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at Florida Atlantic, 86-79. they play at Chattanooga on Saturday.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

we have a wicked cold front getting ready to come through here tonight. it was in the 60's today. they just said on the weather that it won't make it to the 40's tomorrow. good times.
grocery shopping went pretty well today. my pinched nerve didn't fuck with me too much. now, when i got home and mom was still asleep... that was when my pinched nerve decided to be an asshole. but, i got all the groceries in and put away. i got mom a Pecan Snickers bar when i was in the checkout lane. i figured when i saw that she was still asleep, she would eat it for her breakfast at 4 in the afternoon.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Calgary, 2-1. if they are going to play like that the rest of the season, they will not make the playoffs.
so, i thought i got some sleep last night. of course, i was up this morning at 6:30 AM. by 10 AM, i was in my massage chair, watching the Dan Patrick Show. next thing i knew, it was 1:30 in the afternoon. i guess i get better sleep in my massage chair. so, i know the pinched nerve is definitely back. joy.
i was driving home from the bank today and a poem came to me. it never fucking fails, the good ones always come when i don't have a chance to write them down. thankfully, i basically repeated it to myself and wrote it out by the time i got home.
Monday Night Raw was excellent yesterday.
so my trip to the doctor today went as bad as it really fucking could. my A1C is through the roof. they believe i have high blood pressure now. thankfully, it went down the second time they took it. the Trulicity that i haven't taken since January is still on back order at Rite Aid. so, i have to spend all of tomorrow calling the pharmacies around here to see if anyone has it. my stress level is about as high as it ever fucking has been. add in that my first two picks in the NCAA lost today and oh boy, this is going to be a fucking night from hell.
so yeah, the blog may be a little rushed today. i'm going to try to get this done before the Dayton Flyers play Nevada.
AEW Dynamite and AEW Rampage were both really good last night.
i'm thinking of the Tyler Childers line about a little cocaine when the wind cut cold... fuck, it felt like winter today. and the wind was fierce. blew over my fucking recycling container. i just put the shit back in it and put it back in the garage. i wasn't going to babysit it until they came in the afternoon. at least it will be full next week. grocery shopping was tedious today. thankfully, nothing blew away as i was trying to load groceries in the Highlander. got everything on the list and kept it under $200. good times.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Winnipeg, 4-2. it is beyond obvious that the Rangers will need to be healthy when they play in the playoffs if they want to make a deep run. and, please play Matt Rempe. there is no point to having him watch from the press box when he isn't suspended.
i was at the dealership for over a hour today waiting for the Highlander to get the oil changed. but, they got it done and nothing is wrong with it. so, at least that is done for now.
it does feel a little odd not going to the First Four. i will probably watch some of the games tonight on tv.
The Voice last night was very good. hopefully, it will be tonight as well.
i absolutely fucking hate having arthritis as bad as i do. my back has been killing me for days and all of my joints are just going nuts. i know they are saying it is going to rain tonight. trust me, i already fucking know. i made it to the bank today to make a deposit. after that, i had to return 3 things for mom at the UPS Store. i made it back home in time to watch most of the second half of the Manchester United game today.
Manchester United won 1-0 today at Real Betis to advance to the next round of the Europa League.
so, i finally tried the bidet that was put in mom's new bathroom. i can now understand why so many people rave about them. it did a pretty damn good job of getting me as clean as possible. the one she has even has a drying function on it. add in the heated seat and you have yourself a way fucking better bathroom experience than ever before. my biggest goal in wanting one was to make sure mom never gets another UTI. as i told her this afternoon, if that happens and you never have to go to the emergency room for it again, think of the thousands of dollars we have saved just by getting a bidet. so yeah, so far, so good. i used the new shower last night. it will take some getting used to, but it is way better than what was in there before.
grocery shopping today went pretty good. the list of shit i had to get was like a scroll. but, i did manage to keep it under $250. and that was after going to 3 different stores to get everything. and my back only went out once. good times.
the New York Rangers won last night over Washington, 5-3.
we got some more snow today. nothing like they are getting in the Northeast, but more than i want in the middle of fucking March. the contractor did get mostly done today. for some fucking reason, mom told him not to bother with the cardboard, that i would put it in the recycling tonight. i guess she didn't know there was 4 boxes full of shit left in the garage. that took me a hour to get through. my back will be total shit now for the rest of the week. joy.
i never made it to Rite Aid today, so i guess that will be my first stop tomorrow.
The Voice was very good last night.
now, i'll get to the good news after i climb down from the cross.
so, i made it to the doctor's office on time. my blood pressure was good. my weight was down. and for some fucking reason, my A1C was up. again. they believe it could be stress related. i can't imagine what fucking stress i have in my life. so, now i get to start trulicity. joy. well, i guess i should have known if i was going to live to 46, i would be injecting myself with something by now. of course, i didn't get to see the person i was supposed to see today. so, i didn't get to talk about my arthritis that is getting worse or the pinched nerve in my neck. as i told my mother, i have rode the waves of pain for so fucking long now, i might as well be a damn professional. so, on the way home from the doctor's office, i nearly got hit twice by drivers not paying fucking attention. i swear, one of these days, i'm just going to swerve right into the fuckers and see what happens next. i stopped at Big Lots on the way home. i got some basketball and football cards. $50 worth of packs. there was close to $100 worth of cards in them. that works for me.
the Dayton Flyers won last night in Toledo, 74-55. that was their first win in the NIT since 2010. they will play Vanderbilt in Nashville on Sunday afternoon in the next round.
so, i was getting in line to check out at the grocery store today. i got all my items on the belt and then, there was a shift change. my neighbor from across the street, the one who likes to take pictures of the birds in our front yard while she's in her night gown was now my cashier. i try to avoid her line as much as i can. i guess my luck has officially run out. good times. the grocery stores today weren't too bad. i was able to find just about everything on the list.
so, let me get the shitty Manchester United news out of the way. United lost yesterday, 1-0. it was painful to watch that shit honestly. to see them exit out of the Champions League so meekly was disturbing. and i have really no hope that they are going to finish in the top 4 this season in the Premier League. honestly, it might be best for them to just have a massive sell off and start the fuck over.
