i was up at 6:30 this morning, in pain as usual. after i took my blood sugar, i got some ice and got in my massage chair. i think i got a good 90 minute nap in. that helped a great deal.
the Yankees lost last night at home to the Giants, 9-1, in 6 rain soaked innings. hopefully, they will play better today.
Smackdown was very good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and AEW Collision.
the New York Rangers play at Carolina today.
i do plan on watching the college hockey final tonight between Western Michigan and Boston University.
here are your two videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
i will probably watch plenty of sports today while icing my back. i figure if i can get my spine to freeze that will limit the amount of pain the pinched nerve can do.
i will probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays at Newcastle.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.
until tomorrow kids...

Cat Power - I've Been Loving You Too Long (To Stop Now)
"There is no off position on the genius switch." - David Letterman
and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
as i explained to my mother last night about sports karma, i told her since Manchester United got a win they probably didn't deserve, the games tonight are going to be a punch in the dick. sure enough.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to the Penguins, who were missing their two best players, Crosby and Malkin. the Rangers lost, 3-2. well, they play tonight at Columbus. i won't be shocked if they fucking lose tonight as well. and if they do, it will be time to blow up the team and be sellers at the trade deadline.
the Dayton Flyers lost last night at home to VCU, 73-68. you can't have more turnovers than assists in a game and win. and the sad thing is, Dayton was winning in the second half. yet another piss poor coaching job... they will have to win the A10 tournament now if they want to make the NCAA tournament.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
so, mom found her glasses last night. they were between her bed and nightstand. she's been really struggling to get some good sleep here lately. i tell her all the time, autopilot is not your friend. she tends to forget that, like most things.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
the Dayton Flyers won last night at home against Davidson, 69-63.
NXT was really good last night.
St. Denis Medical was hilarious last night.
the grocery store was a little busy today. of course, we have weather coming, plus the Super Bowl is this weekend, so people were in a bit of a panic. i more or less stick to the list or i shop to plan the meals for the next few days. mom is basically on toast right now, so i am more or less cooking for myself. and i'm pretty simple. a sandwich will do.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite, Abbott Elementary and Inside the NFL.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Boston. the Rangers are basically at the point where they need to win just about every game to have a shot at making the playoffs.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get mom's pills from Kroger. she's not sure what they called in for her, but i'm guessing it will be ready by tomorrow afternoon.
i need to go figure out dinner and get ready to watch some hockey.
that's all for me kids...

it hasn't rained here in a few weeks. hopefully, that might change later this afternoon. i need to do my laundry today. hopefully, i can do that mostly pain free. i know, that's a fucking dream.
Ohio State defeated Marshall yesterday, 49-14.
Manchester United played a 0-0 draw yesterday at Crystal Palace.
i did watch plenty of college football yesterday.
the Yankees won last night at Oakland, 10-0. hopefully, they will get the sweep today. the Yankees magic number to win the AL East is 3.
AEW Collision was ok last night.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i hope you had a fun, relaxing, or whatever the fuck kind of day you wanted to have on this labor day. mine has been one of relaxing, being in pain, relaxing, forcing myself to sleep, etc. i called in a couple of prescriptions i needed filled and i tried to make my eye appointment finally. i have been meaning to do that for a few months now. apathy, what a wonderful gift.
well, i guess i'll start with the Manchester United debacle. i was hoping that it would be a good game to watch. i should have turned it off at halftime, but i am a glutton for punishment. i did turn it off when Liverpool went up 3-0. this is exactly what i was fearing with bringing ETH back. now i have to stew on that loss for the next two weeks since the international break is upon us. joy.
the Yankees lost yesterday at home to the Cardinals, 14-7. they start a series tonight at Texas.
Big Brother was good last night.
Industry was very good last night.
NXT No Mercy was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw and Name That Tune.
DIRECTV and Disney are having a pissing fight, so all the Disney networks aren't on DIRECTV right now. as a sports fan, this is insane since ESPN is under that Disney umbrella. so, i will have to follow the college football game tonight on my phone i guess.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to get her hair done.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so, i took a shower last night. i was hoping the warm water would loosen up my back. nope. so, i spent three hours in the massage chair icing my back down and getting a little sleep. fun times.
mom didn't go to her physical therapy appointment today. with this high humidity, her Meniere's Disease is really fucking with her. on top of that, she is now getting all the side effects to Ozempic. not a fun house to be in at the moment.
the Yankees won yesterday at home against the Blue Jays, 4-3, in 10 innings. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow night against the Angels.
Big Brother was good last night.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.
i did watch some of the Olympics today as i was between naps.
enjoy some music:

i have been watching pro wrestling for roughly 46 of my 48 years on this planet. i can be very cynical with the product at times, but when something blows my mind, it charges all of my senses. last night was one of those nights. i was absolutely devastated when Bray Wyatt died. his brother talked about doing something that would be a tribute to his legacy. if the debut last night of the Wyatt Sicks was the start of that, they are off to a magnificent beginning. i had tears in my eyes seeing the characters come to life and what this could become as a real life horror movie right before our eyes. this was easily the best Monday Night Raw in quite some time. and i absolutely can't wait to see what comes next.
here are your highlights from Game 5 of the NBA Finals last night. congrats to Boston on winning the championship. that was a good future bet by me.
Name That Tune was very good last night.
i did watch some of the Euro 2024 today. Portugal got a late goal to win a crazy game.
mom's doctor's appointment went well today. her A1C is doing great. i see the doctor on Friday.

on the DVR tonight will be NXT and Deadliest Catch.
Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight.
the Yankees play at home against the Orioles tonight. if the Yankees want to stay in first place, they need to win this series.
i need to get the trash picked up and out sometime tonight. they are supposed to come early to get it because of the heat. it got into the low 90's today.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.
i need to go get dinner started.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, my morning routine is after i take a piss, i take my blood sugar and then i start to open up the house. when i opened up the front door to let the breeze in this morning, there was a headless bird at the door. that brought me a laugh as that was a regular thing out at the farm. it is a little more unexpected when you live in the suburbs. i'm guessing a stray cat had a little snack overnight. i made sure to get it out into the yard, just in case someone comes up to the door.
yesterday was fucking crazy. i did get mom to her appointment on time. i think she was a little surprised when they told her she needed to have an EKG done. thankfully, that came back clean. her heart doctor is really pleased with how mom has recovered from her congestive heart failure.
after that, i got her back home and then i needed to do the grocery shopping. thankfully, the rain basically held off around here. between trips to the grocery stores, i went to the bank and got gas for the Highlander. all in all, i was tired as hell, but i got everything done.
now, i did miss all of the Manchester United game yesterday. it figures, they ended up beating Newcastle, 3-2.
the Yankees won last night at Minnesota, 4-0. they go for the sweep this afternoon.

so, i got up at 3:30 this morning. i guess the nap i got in the afternoon rested me more than i thought. so, i was able to watch WWE Elimination Chamber live this morning. it was a better show than i was expecting to be honest. and that made it well worth my time.
and then came the Manchester United game. i was fearful that without their best striker they would struggle to score. sure enough. they were second best all fucking game to Fulham, a team they honestly should never lose to. they lost 2-1, after Harry Maguire equalized late in the game. United gave up the winner in the 97th minute. i wish i would have just chosen to go back to bed than watch that shit.
we got a glorified dusting of snow by the way.

a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
so, the ones that believe in the groundhog, believe there will be an early spring. great.
i made it back from the bank yesterday in time to watch the Manchester United game. that match took a few years off of my life. but, in the end, hopefully it was worth it. United won 4-3 when Kobbie Mainoo scored in the 97th minute. this kid is 19 years old and oozes fucking class. if it all works out for him, he will be one of the best midfielders in the world in a few years or less.

today has been one of those days where i have tried to channel the pain in the right direction. but, i know that by doing this, i am shortening my time on earth greatly. but, i got all of the Christmas cards out today. you lucky ones out there should have yours by Saturday or early next week. the contractor got the new kitchen floor in. it looks stunning. the countertops are supposed to go in tomorrow morning. but, the punch to the dick is the new appliances (fridge, airfryer/micorwave, dishwasher, vent hood, etc.) won't be in until the 14th of December. fuck me.
the Dayton Flyers were supposed to play UNLV tonight at home. that game has been postponed since the school shooting that happened today at UNLV.
i did watch some of the Manchester United game today against Chelsea. it would be nice if United played like this for the rest of the season. United won, 2-1.
after i got out of the post office today, i went to the local grocery in town. i just bought a few things we needed and stuff to make dinner for the next few nights. we ordered pizza last night. the rest of that will be dinner tonight.
NXT was excellent last night. i can't wait for NXT Deadline this Saturday.
Inside the NFL was pretty good last night.
