now that back pain is a constant...

so, i took a shower last night. i was hoping the warm water would loosen up my back. nope. so, i spent three hours in the massage chair icing my back down and getting a little sleep. fun times.

mom didn't go to her physical therapy appointment today. with this high humidity, her Meniere's Disease is really fucking with her. on top of that, she is now getting all the side effects to Ozempic. not a fun house to be in at the moment.

the Yankees won yesterday at home against the Blue Jays, 4-3, in 10 innings. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow night against the Angels.

Big Brother was good last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

i did watch some of the Olympics today as i was between naps.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. most likely, it will be after the USWNT plays Germany tomorrow at the Olympics.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

i need to go figure out what i'm making for dinner.

until tomorrow kids...

it was a productive morning...

so, i woke up this morning and put the dishes i washed last night away. after that, i made the coffee, went out and fed the birds and i also made sure to lube the garage door as well. not bad for waking up with an aching back. i was hoping to get it all done before it got too hot today. the real feel outside is already at 98. joy.

the Yankees lost last night at home against Houston, 7-3. hopefully, they will win this afternoon.

i did catch some of the highlights from the Leagues Cup games last night.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision. i'll be watching WWE SummerSlam tonight on Peacock.

Manchester United won this morning at home over Lens, 3-1. their last friendly of the preseason is tomorrow in Ireland.

i know i will probably have to go to the local grocery store to get some coleslaw and other stuff. we're having ribs for dinner tonight.

and today will also be laundry day. i know when i start running low on clean underwear, it is time.

considering the USWNT plays at 5 in the morning tomorrow, i will probably be on here after that game.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

welcome to the weekend...

i actually got some sleep in my own bed last night. it was only two hours, but that is the most i have had in my bed in weeks. i got 3 hours in my massage chair, so i at least felt like i was with it today. of course, my arthritis decided i was going to have to pay for that.

Vice News Tonight had two really good episodes this week.

both episodes of The Captain last night were good. next week is the finale.

Big Brother was good last night. Nicole was evicted, although it wasn't quite the blindside i was hoping for. Michael is the new HOH.

NJPW was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and Real Time with Bill Maher. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

the Yankees play tonight in St. Louis. hopefully, they can get back to winning again.

i did watch a little of the Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace match today as the Premier League started back up. Manchester United plays on Sunday.

i need to do some writing either tonight or tomorrow morning. like really knock out a good 5 to 10 poems. i believe someone i'm not supposed to talk about is coming down here tomorrow. so, i'll be in my room anyway.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i'm hoping it won't be fucking stormy here all weekend.

sometimes, you never break free of the fog...

since i don't sleep much anymore, life is this constant fog it seems. sure, i can function and get shit done, but it always feels like either i am on cruise control or in this constant fucking loop that never ends. i suppose i need stronger alcohol or harder drugs. ah, the memories...

AEW was really good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. i'm pretty sure Whitney will be evicted tonight.

i did stay up to watch the USA men's basketball game last night against Australia. when the USA was down 15 in the first half, i wasn't sure if they had it in them to dig themselves out of that hole. but, when a motivated Kevin Durant shows up, i'm not sure if there is a big enough hole to keep them in. the USA ended up winning the game, 97-78. they will play France for the gold medal tomorrow night.

i didn't stay up to watch the USWNT take on Australia for the bronze medal in women's soccer. i woke up and checked the score and saw that the USA was up 3-1. i went right back to sleep. the USA won the bronze, 4-3.

the Yankees won last night over Baltimore, 10-3. they start a series tonight at home against Seattle. i guess Gary Sanchez has now tested positive for COVID. i swear, this team can't have a fucking day go by without some kind of fucking drama.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Desus & Mero. i did watch NXT UK earlier this afternoon. it was excellent.

i might watch some of that NFL game tonight between the Cowboys and Steelers, mostly because there isn't much else on tonight.

i did do some poetry work today. i know where i'll be sending 16 poems tomorrow (hopefully).

as someone who grew up on tag team wrestling, i was crushed today when i got the news that "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton died overnight. those matches between the Midnight Express and the Rock n Roll Express were clinics on how tag teams are supposed to work in a match. and Bobby was probably one of the most underrated workers in the history of wrestling. rest in peace and my best to your family. 62 is way too young. (August 14, 1958 - August 4, 2021).

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. in a perfect world, it would be after i get the poems out, but i have never lived in a perfect world.

it was fun while it lasted...

the New York Rangers lost last night to Carolina, 4-1. the Rangers had a lead in the series for all of 3 minutes. they were outworked the entire series. so, i'm not going to bitch and moan about this or that, Carolina deserved to win. now, i can only hope that the Rangers get the #1 pick in the NHL Draft and hope that The King wants to stay or wants to go win a cup somewhere else and agrees to a trade. joy.

i nearly forgot that Manchester United was playing today in the Europa League. it's the second leg of their match from months ago. they are up 5-0 going into the match today. it's currently 0-0, so i haven't missed much.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, NXT and AEW.

the New York Yankees play a doubleheader today at Philadelphia. i'd be thrilled if they can win both games today.

i did write 4 poems last night after the Rangers loss. thankfully, none of them had to do with hockey. i typed those up and i should have enough to do another round of submissions here soon.

the grocery stores were pretty quiet today. i had to go to 3 stores to get everything on the list. i did manage to keep everything around $100 though.

i did pick up some baseball cards today. it was one of those cheap packs at the drugstore. i wasn't expecting much out of it. there was a few hits, including one card going for $8, so that made me happy.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

one of those evenings...

last night was one of those nights that i wonder if i have only because i am a poet. spending hours in the dark, contemplating suicide, in tears, wondering why i'm wasting my time. then, writing three brilliant poems and having a laugh. of course, the music program i recorded last night didn't have sound on it, so not everything turned to a bucket of gold.

i did write 3 poems last night. they are pretty dark but i do love them. i did a little poetry work earlier in the day. i do believe i know where my next 38 poems will be going. that will probably happen early tomorrow or Tuesday.

the New York Yankees lost yet again yesterday, 4-1. Chance Adams had a decent first major league start, but the offense showed no signs of life until the 9th inning. this is the first time all season the Yankees have lost 4 games in a row. they will have to win tonight to avoid the sweep.

so i got an email from my mother last night, something about 32 things you find in every grandmother's home or something like that. it kind of set me off as i was molested in my grandmother's home. so, you might imagine what the first poem i wrote last night is about. i suppose last night is truly the sign that the counseling never worked. that i'm still haunted by what happened to me 38 years ago. but, i didn't do any drugs last night. and i didn't drink. god knows, i probably should have done both.

i was really looking forward to that Paul Thorn special on PBS last night. the picture was fine but the sound was all garbled and awful. it sounded like nothing but static. i fast forwarded a few minutes and it was still the same. fuck it, i just deleted it.

ROH was really good last night.

i think i might have got 4 hours of sleep at best.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Power, Sharp Objects, the season finale of Succession, Last Week Tonight, The Affair, Who is America? and Our Cartoon President.

Manchester United plays their final preseason game this afternoon against Bayern Munich in Germany. at this point, all i'm hoping for is no more fucking injuries. United starts the Premier League season on Friday.

i believe the rain is supposed to be back by tomorrow. hopefully, i'll have all the poems out before that fucking misery begins.

i hope everyone on this planet had a better Saturday than i did. and i do hope your Sunday is even better.

since when did Puerto Rican women start invading my dreams?

for some damn reason, i woke up at 5 in the morning. looked at the damn clock and immediately tried to go back to sleep. i don't think i ever reached deep sleep (i probably haven't in years) as i started dreaming of Spanish Harlem for some reason. and then there was a Puerto Rican woman at a kitchen table telling me about her pussy and making jokes. two hours later i got out of bed to take a piss and tried to fucking figure out what the fuck that was all about.

my mother for some damn reason wanted McDonald's for breakfast this morning. nothing like rolling up there and both lines for the drive-thru are halfway around the building. this small town is going to break me one day, i can feel it.

the New York Yankees offense has slipped back into a fucking coma. they lost yet again last night 7-2. it's one thing when a good pitcher gets the better of you. it's another when a guy with an ERA over 5 shuts your down. hopefully the fucking losing streak will end tonight. i'm so damn happy i didn't have tickets to this series in Cleveland this year.

VICE was excellent last night. the medical advances with Autism are pretty amazing seeing where society was just a few years ago.

Treehouse Masters was pretty good last night. the treehouse in Norway was pretty cool, although i guess you're just supposed to piss off the balcony. the one in Texas was really fucking cool. that might have been one of my favorites.

Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.

Room 104 was great last night. i loved the twist at the end. plus, perfect breasts never hurt.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

other than a trip to get ink for the printer, i think most of today will be spent writing, watching sports and probably figuring out where the next round of submissions will be going.

i actually was able to turn off the air conditioning and open some windows today. it certainly doesn't feel like August. that's a welcome change.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

at least there was some cloud cover

got the grass mowed today in a little under 3 and 1/2 hours. thankfully the temps were in the 70's and there were some clouds. of course, i did get a little sun. i'm sure i will be paying for that later tonight and tomorrow. i wonder why i bother when SPF 100 doesn't do much better than the other shit.

so while i was mowing there was some Yankees news. A-Rod suspended and appealing, Jeter back to the disabled list, all coming off yet another fucking series loss. do you get the sense i'm tired of all of this... i doubt i will watch much of the circus this evening.

the kid i grew up next to will be the home plate umpire in the intermediate world series on ESPN2 @ 7pm. i'll check that out just so i can feel older than shit.

the shows last night were pretty good. Big Brother was what it was, creatively edited bullshit from CBS. The Newsroom was great. the acting and the writing was superb. Ray Donovan was excellent. as someone who has had a few "bad trips" in his life, boy that episode brought back some memories. as for Total Divas, last night's episode showed me that the WWE certainly isn't what it was 10 years ago. if the lies last night would have taken place in the past, they would have been fired on the spot. not sure what system i like better.

tonight, a little Monday Night Raw will be in order. after that, hopefully i will get some sleep. i was up until 3 this morning trying to get shit done on the internet. a big thank you to Frontier Communications for once again being a big piece of shit. i just love it when the signal is slower than dial-up.

if i feel up to it, sometime this week i will bust out the camera again and take some pictures. just don't hold your breath.

tomorrow, between laundry and podcast listening, i will go through some poems and figure out where the next 10 or so are going.

hope this finds everyone still willing to give a shit about something.

the day turned to shit around noon

so, i got in this morning from feeding the cats and birds just as Manchester United was getting scored on. fucking great, this is going to be a long day i start thinking. thankfully, RvP decides he's going to pull a spectacular goal out from his ass and sets Old Trafford on fire. 2 more goals in the first half from the boys and i'm feeling good. then the usual try to not lose instead of trying to win costs them and their shitty, shitty injury filled defense. they win 3-2 but it wouldn't be a Manchester United game without an injury. a nasty, nasty, NASTY gash to Wayne Rooney's thigh. seriously, i'm talking fucking shark week nasty here. early reports are he's going to be out a month. just fucking great.

scouted out a few new places to send poetry to and did the dishes between soccer matches from Italy, Spain and Germany. thank you DIRECTV.

and then the Yankees. after watching Tampa Bay lose earlier in the day, here's a great chance to stretch the lead a bit. of course, Kuroda has one bad inning and the Yankees only can muster one fucking hit with runners in scoring position (out of the 9 damn at bats they had) and lose 3-1. this will go down in the wasted opportunity column if they blow the division this year. at least they were kind enough to get the damn game over in under 3 hours.

kind of shocked Magic Johnson would do something good for Boston, apparently hell has frozen over. hopefully the Red Sox blow that quarter of a billion dollars they are saving in the trade on more shitty players. makes it more fun for this Yankee fan.
