i finally did some poetry work last night. i think i know where the next round of submissions will be going. i'm not sure when that will happen. i'm shooting for sometime this week.
i did write 1 poem today while mom was doing physical therapy. i typed that up when we got back from Waffle House.
the series finale of The Affair was fucking perfect last night. i absolutely loved it.
the mid-season finale of Power was crazy. i can't wait to find out who shot Ghost.
Batwoman was good last night.
Axios was excellent last night.
Watchmen was really good last night.
Silicon Valley was hilarious last night.
Mrs. Fletcher was really good last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Desus & Mero. i'll spend most of tonight watching Monday Night Raw.
so on this Sunday that the New Orleans Saints aren't playing, i wanted to get some shit done. i asked mom if she wanted biscuits and gravy for breakfast this morning. she said yeah, so i got to it in the kitchen. mom didn't like how thin the gravy was so she added some flour to it. and by some, i mean way too much. so, instead of biscuits and gravy we had biscuits and porridge. she didn't like it. it was edible, but i'm paying for it now. i'm in the middle of doing my laundry while my stomach is doing gymnastics. good times.
the New York Rangers won yesterday in Nashville, 2-1. i think the boys have found a style that clicks with them.
the Dayton Flyers won yesterday against Cedarville, 93-60. i was happy with the way the team looked. they are way deeper and more athletic than last season. if they can stay healthy, they should have a chance to do something special this season. the renovations to UD Arena look fucking amazing. of course, with all my mother's medical conditions, i doubt she'll be able to go to the games and actually enjoy herself. when i'm there alone, i do a ton of people watching during timeouts. i should have a few poems stirring about. here are some highlights from the game:
NJPW was really good last night. i could watch Sanada and Okada wrestle forever.
ROH was good last night.
Bluegrass Underground and Austin City Limits were both really good last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Batwoman, the mid-season finale of Power, the series finale of The Affair, Watchmen, Silicon Valley, Mrs. Fletcher and Last Week Tonight.
i'm going to try to do some poetry work tonight, especially since i realized the other day i didn't send any poems out in October. hello depression, my name is...
mom starts her physical therapy tomorrow, so i should be on here after that is over.
i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hope your Sunday is even better.
i have clothes to go fold. so, until tomorrow kids...

as you might imagine as the title suggests, there was a portion of my afternoon. i had to pick up my pills from the grocery store and on the way back, mom wanted lunch from McDonald's. sure enough, i got stuck behind a couple of meth addicts buying ice cream with pennies. #thelifeofapoet
Manchester United defeated Norwich yesterday, 3-1. it should have been 5-1 but for some reason, United fucking sucks at penalties this season. but, that's 2 away wins in a week. holy shit.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Arizona yesterday, 31-9. Drew Brees looked like he didn't miss any time at all. the Saints have their bye week next week, which should allow them to get healthy and start a run to the playoffs.
the New York Rangers lost to Boston last night, 7-4. i watched some of the game, but turned it off in disgust.
Axios was very good last night.
Power was fucking crazy last night. next week is the mid-season finale.
The Affair was excellent last night. the series finale is next week.
Batwoman was good last night.
Watchmen was great last night.
Silicon Valley was hilarious last night. excellent start to its final season.
Mrs. Fletcher was pretty funny last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

i was a little surprised that the New York Yankees let go of their pitching coach today.
i should be on here tomorrow after my physical therapy appointment.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
if the forecasts are correct, the weather is only going to get worse this week. joy.

much as i figured, i was in an ache yesterday all day long. the rain finally moved out early this morning, replaced by the wind that sounded like a fucking train. good times.
Ohio State started off slow yesterday against Wisconsin. thankfully, they got their shit together and absolutely destroyed the Badgers, 38-7. Chase Young had an amazing day on defense and J.K. Dobbins showed the rest of the country who the best running back in the Big Ten really is. Ohio State is off next week.
i did watch a few other games yesterday. Oklahoma was the biggest upset of the day, losing at Kansas State.
Saturday Night Live was really good last night, at least what i got to see. our local NBC station was off the air for about 20 minutes or so.
Austin City Limits was excellent last night.
NJPW was really good last night.
ROH was good last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Axios, Power, Batwoman, The Affair, Watchmen, Silicon Valley, Mrs. Fletcher and Last Week Tonight.
Manchester United plays at Norwich today. hopefully, United will find a way to win.
the New Orleans Saints play today at home against Arizona. Drew Brees is going to play today for the first time since week 2. hopefully, he stays healthy and the Saints can keep winning.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Boston. i'd love to see the Rangers actually win two games in a row.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i was actually feeling pretty good last night and then i could feel the rain creeping in. today, it fucking poured and will be doing so again in a hour or so. joy. i just started my laundry after making a run to the pharmacy to get the prescriptions that were ready. that could have happened hours ago but mom forgot to tell me she was completely out of her muscle relaxers. of course, she tried a guilt trip on me and that doesn't work anymore. i'm cold and bitter in my old age. joy.
Manchester United played much better than i was expecting yesterday. and if Ashley Young wouldn't have fell asleep on defense, United would have got the 3 points they desperately needed. instead, it was a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. hopefully, this will be a little something they can build on for the rest of the season.
the New York Rangers got down 3-0 in the first period yesterday. that ended up being too big of a hole to climb out of as the Rangers lost to Vancouver, 3-2. that's 4 losses in a row. ah, the joys of a young team.
the New Orleans Saints completely dominated the Bears yesterday, defeating them 36-25. honestly, the game was never as close as the score indicates as the Saints took their foot off the gas the last 6 minutes of the game. they are back at home on next Sunday to play Arizona.
Axios was really good last night.
Batwoman was excellent last night.
Watchmen was fucking great last night. i think i will love this series.
The Affair was amazing last night.
the season finale of On Becoming A God in Central Florida was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Deuce and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Jets and Patriots as well.
i have my physical therapy evaluation tomorrow afternoon. i will probably do my blog after i get home from that.
pause for laundry break...
ok, i'm back.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.
when i got back from getting the pills today, the Orkin guy was at the house. he parked in the middle of the fucking driveway. i was already pissed from having to wait 25 minutes in line for the damn pills. i think he picked up on the vibes pretty fucking quick when i got in the house. of course, the asshole didn't move his truck until he was done. exactly how i wanted to start this week.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

so, the New York Yankees lost to Houston last night, 6-4, on a walk off 2 run homer from Jose Altuve. that happened after the Yankees tied the game at 4 in the top half of the 9th inning. that's the 3rd time in the last 5 years the Astros have eliminated the Yankees. that's a bitter taste that never quite leaves.
so the World Series will be the Nationals vs. the Astros. good thing i won't be watching.
i watched a ton of the MLS playoffs yesterday, as well as some college football.
NJPW was pretty good last night.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Axios, The Affair, the season finale of On Becoming A God in Central Florida, Batwoman and Watchmen.
Manchester United takes on Liverpool here in a little bit. i'd love for United to shock me today and actually play well for a fucking change.
the New York Rangers play at home this afternoon against Vancouver. hopefully, the Rangers can end their losing streak today.
the New Orleans Saints play later this afternoon at Chicago. hopefully, the Saints can keep on winning.
i haven't had my coffee or breakfast yet, so that's all for me kids.
i hope your Saturday was great. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

the New York Yankees lost to Houston last night, 3-2 in 11 innings. oh well, they got the split down there. now, just win the 3 home games in in the Bronx starting tomorrow night... please.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Jacksonville yesterday, 13-6. the Saints defense was fucking awesome yesterday.
the season finale of Succession was fucking great last night.
the season finale of The Righteous Gemstones was very funny last night.
the series finale of Ballers was good last night.
Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as usual.
Batwoman was good last night.
Power was fucking crazy last night. i guess everyone is going to fucking die in the final season.

the New York Rangers lost yesterday to Edmonton, 4-1. Kakko did score his first NHL goal, but it was downhill from there for the team.
the biggest upset yesterday in college football was Georgia losing in 2 OT at home to South Carolina.
NJPW was excellent last night.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was good last night.
Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

as long as mom doesn't have anything pop up tomorrow (regarding her health), i should be on here in the early afternoon i suppose.
ever since mom fell, it feels like i am on call 24/7. i didn't get to bed until 5 AM this morning and only slept in 45 minute intervals. joy.

the New York Yankees play Game 3 of their series against the Twins tonight in Minnesota. i'd love to see the Yankees get the sweep tonight.
exactly what i feared would happen yesterday did in the Manchester United game. they lost to Newcastle United 1-0. they haven't won on the road in any competition since March. the owners, the board, the players, the coaches, everything about the club fucking sucks at the moment. and the way they are going now, they'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the league. fucking pathetic.
the New Orleans Saints won yesterday against Tampa Bay, 31-24. Teddy Bridgewater threw 4 touchdowns. they play next Sunday at Jacksonville.
WWE Hell in a Cell started off great last night. i really enjoyed just how much violence there was in the Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks match. from there, it mostly felt like a glorified version of Monday Night Raw. now, i loved that the Kabuki Warriors went heel and Asuka used the green mist to win the tag team titles. but, the ending of the show was horse shit. i'm not sure how you can have a no contest finish in a match with no fucking rules. now, i love that The Fiend seems indestructible. but, it would have been much better if they would have started the match back up and have The Fiend win the title. i'm sure Vince only wants that to happen at a big ppv, like Survivor Series. and i can't wait to see how they explain it away tonight on Raw.
Batwoman was excellent last night. i really think i am going to enjoy this series.
Power was great last night.
Succession was really good last night.the season finale is next week.
The Righteous Gemstones was good last night. that season finale is next week as well.

i will probably be on here after all of that. from what mom said to me today, i think she wants to go out to eat after the appointments.
i had a good laugh today. i must be a certain age now. i got a letter in the mail today for natural herbal dick pills. i'm sure there will be poems.
that's all for me kids. i didn't get to bed until 6 this morning. i feel like i have been in a damn fog all fucking day.

the New York Yankees defeated the Twins last night, 8-2. they are up 2-0 in the series now. Game 3 is Monday night in Minnesota. hopefully, the Yankees will get the sweep.
Ohio State defeated Michigan State last night, 34-10. it's becoming evident that Ohio State is one of the best teams in the country.
the New York Rangers defeated Ottawa last night, 4-1. Mika had a hat trick against his former club. the ability to score is a breath of fresh air so far this season. the Rangers are off until Saturday now.
Gary Gulman: The Great Depresh was excellent last night.
NJPW was good last night.
ROH was good last night.
Austin City Limits was great last night. i could listen to Gary Clark Jr. for hours and never get bored.

the New Orleans Saints play today at home against Tampa Bay. i'd love to see the Saints keep the momentum going and win again today.

i believe it's supposed to get into the 90's here for the next few days. we had a little rain yesterday, but we're clearly in a fucking drought. our tree in the front is losing leaves before they even change color. joy.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday to the Rangers, 6-1. they won't play again until Friday when they play the Twins back in the Bronx. hopefully, the Yankees have a nice long run in them for the playoffs this season.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Dallas last night, 12-10. the defense was amazing last night. i still don't believe they have won these last two games without Drew Brees. they play Tampa Bay this coming Sunday.
Succession was great last night.
Ballers was good last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was pretty funny last night.
Last Week Tonight was hilarious as usual.
Power was great once again last night.

Manchester United plays Arsenal today. since mom wants to go out to eat after her doctor's appointment, i probably won't see any of the game.
i might watch some of the Monday night game tonight between the Bengals and Steelers.
i got the results from my x-rays this morning. apparently, the arthritis has set up in my neck and is causing chaos. i have some bone spurs and i'm going to assume, that is what is causing the pinched nerve. of course, i still have to take that EMG, which should clear up any doubts.
i spent a good portion of yesterday watching the Global Citizen music festival.
the New York Yankees lost last night at the Rangers, 9-4. they play their final game of the regular season this afternoon. they will play the Twins in the playoffs.
Ohio State started off on fire last night and whipped Nebraska 48-7. Ohio State really looks like a team that will compete for a national championship this season.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
ROH was good last night.

i had to take my mother to her doctor's appointment today. her back is really killing her, but she thought she could just use her cane. i have to remind her from time to time that pride will end up killing her. after we were done with the appointment, i was helping her sit down outside on a bench and of course, she ended up falling. it looked like her shoe somehow came off and she twisted her ankle. it took a nurse, myself and two other women to help her up. of course, she was more embarrassed than anything. i told her on the way home her indecisiveness is killing her. she's talked for weeks about getting a new walker, yet hasn't ordered one or told me what to go out and get. i told her as plainly as i could, i will help you if you want it, if you don't want it, you won't get it. the appointment went well. her liver numbers are good. she's pissed about gaining 8 lbs. this week. thankfully, she gets her injections tomorrow morning.
the New York Yankees won yesterday against Toronto 8-3. that finished up their season at home. they are off tonight and start a 2 game series at that dump down in Tampa tomorrow night.
the New Orleans Saints won at Seattle yesterday, 33-27. that was a pleasant surprise. they face Dallas at home next Sunday night.
Big Brother was good last night. i know Holly won the second HOH, so it will be Michie vs. Holly in the final HOH of the season. i would be shocked if they didn't take each other to the finals.
Succession was good last night.
The Righteous Gemstones was pretty funny last night.
Ballers was very good last night.
Power was yet another holy fuck why did he have to die episode. this season has been fucking nuts.
