we missed the rain but not the pain...

we really didn't get much rain today. but with my luck, it doesn't fucking matter. as long as the rain is nearby, my arthritis is dancing with joy. nothing like sitting and watching tv and all my joints start to flare up at the same time. as i told my mother, these are the days a fucking morphine drip was created for.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

the season finale of American Horror Story: Double Feature was crazy last night.

The Masked Singer was very funny last night.

Alter Ego was good last night.

WWE Crown Jewel today was better than i was expecting.

NXT UK was very good today as well.

i did watch some of the NBA last night. here are your highlights:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, United States of Al, B Positive, Cake, Desus & Mero, What We Do in the Shadows and Dark Side of the Ring.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Nashville. hopefully, they can keep on winning.

the USWNT plays a friendly tonight against South Korea.

the pills that i called in to Kroger yesterday still aren't ready. that makes me laugh. so, i imagine at some point tomorrow i'll have to go get those. my sister is coming down for the weekend in the afternoon. so, i will hopefully get the blog done in the morning tomorrow. no promises though.

until tomorrow kids...

and of course, it had to rain...

i was actually feeling pretty good last night and then i could feel the rain creeping in. today, it fucking poured and will be doing so again in a hour or so. joy. i just started my laundry after making a run to the pharmacy to get the prescriptions that were ready. that could have happened hours ago but mom forgot to tell me she was completely out of her muscle relaxers. of course, she tried a guilt trip on me and that doesn't work anymore. i'm cold and bitter in my old age. joy.

Manchester United played much better than i was expecting yesterday. and if Ashley Young wouldn't have fell asleep on defense, United would have got the 3 points they desperately needed. instead, it was a 1-1 draw against Liverpool. hopefully, this will be a little something they can build on for the rest of the season.

the New York Rangers got down 3-0 in the first period yesterday. that ended up being too big of a hole to climb out of as the Rangers lost to Vancouver, 3-2. that's 4 losses in a row. ah, the joys of a young team.

the New Orleans Saints completely dominated the Bears yesterday, defeating them 36-25. honestly, the game was never as close as the score indicates as the Saints took their foot off the gas the last 6 minutes of the game. they are back at home on next Sunday to play Arizona.

Axios was really good last night.

Batwoman was excellent last night.

Watchmen was fucking great last night. i think i will love this series.

The Affair was amazing last night.

the season finale of On Becoming A God in Central Florida was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, The Deuce and Desus & Mero. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i will probably watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Jets and Patriots as well.

i did listen to episode 261 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:

i have my physical therapy evaluation tomorrow afternoon. i will probably do my blog after i get home from that.

pause for laundry break...

ok, i'm back.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

when i got back from getting the pills today, the Orkin guy was at the house. he parked in the middle of the fucking driveway. i was already pissed from having to wait 25 minutes in line for the damn pills. i think he picked up on the vibes pretty fucking quick when i got in the house. of course, the asshole didn't move his truck until he was done. exactly how i wanted to start this week.

that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

la felicidad es un concepto extraño para mi

the waiting is the hardest part

no real update on my uncle yet. my mom got a text this morning that they are still waiting for the results from the scan yesterday. so i figure sometime while i'm watching Manchester United today i'll get the news. good times.

The Voice last night was interesting. my favorite battle was this one:

Amy is certainly one of the ones i think can win the whole thing. next week starts the knockouts.

Scream Queens was excellent last night. it's so campy at times that you can't help but laugh. but, it's also very graphic, which makes it close to perfect.

i actually got close to 6 hours of sleep last night. i was watching The Wall last night before i fell asleep. i remember when the high school baseball team used to come over on Friday nights to watch that movie and get drunk or stoned at the house. while watching it last night, the movie certainly took on a different tone to me now that my father is dead. some of those old war scenes took my mind to a completely different place. of course, i'm also 24 years older now.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be American Horror Story: Hotel and You're The Worst. I'll be watching NXT and some other shit on the WWE Network.

Manchester United plays at CSKA Moscow today in Champions League action. United is on a road losing streak in the Champions League so i really hope that ends today. everyone in the group is level on points, so a win today would be a big one.

before the game, i'm hoping to work in some writing and a shower. such is the glorious life of a poet.

my sister started her journey today. i guess by the weekend she'll be in South Africa. i imagine those are going to be some interesting pictures.

that's all for me today. i imagine tomorrow's blog is going to be an interesting one.

hope this finds everyone doing something interesting with their hands. (i know exactly what you dirty minded fuckers are thinking)

in case you ever wondered where the magic comes from

let me peel back the onion on a 30 minute snapshot of my life and basically, where all my poetry comes from.

at 12:30 each afternoon, i am usually getting the stuff together to feed the cats. today, i happened to be on the toilet. no big deal, i'll just feed the cats later. about 20 minutes later, i'm feeding the cats. didn't see many of them, but it was sunny out and i figured they were hunting. i got back inside and the phone was ringing. it's my mother. i talked to her for a few and then got ready to go into town to get the mail. as i started down the 1/4 mile lane i got an urge to shit. at the end of the lane, i picked up the empty trash cans and threw them in the back of my barely running old truck. i raced back up the lane and ran inside. i made the old bathroom and pulled down my pants. shit was falling out of my ass right as i sat down on the bowl. i looked up and there is a mirror right above the sink where you can see your face as you are sitting on the toilet. i said out loud

AND YOU WONDER WHY YOU'RE  STILL SINGLE?

i laughed and started a conversation with myself as the bowl filled up with brown liquid. i don't think it could be called shit at this rate. and if you ever wonder where many of my poems come from, it's those damn conversations with myself on the toilet.

enjoy the visuals.

the Sunday night shows were pretty damn good last night. i have no complaints with any of them.

i feel bad for my mother. she sits there all day long on Sunday listening to me bitch and moan about my fantasy teams. and then i checked them late last night and i'm up by 34 in one and by over 60 in the other. and all i can think about is if i would have started this guy i'd be up by... i'm not quite satisfied until it's perfect. that's why sports are so insatiable to me. perfection is beyond rare.

no need for me to watch the NFL game tonight. while both of my opponents have players going, they could have the greatest game ever and still not catch me. so, it will be a night bouncing between The Voice and Monday Night Raw.

when i got up for my morning piss i heard on the radio that there is a chance for snow later this week. i just shook my head and laughed.

well, that's all for today. hopefully i will come to you tomorrow without yet another shit story to share.
