so, i was dead tired last night and went to sleep a little after 2 AM. i woke up feeling really relaxed. i rolled over and the clock said 4:41 AM. i deflated. it was then a process of twenty minute naps until 6 AM came along. i frustratingly got up and got my day going. of course, after i had breakfast and talked to mom a bit, i went out to my massage chair and fell asleep. 3 hours later, woke up and was shocked. i would give a limb to get a decent night of continuous sleep.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.
Abbott Elementary was very funny last night.
AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.

when my favorites die, i don't think of it as death. i think of it more as an escape. not many are reserved this judgment in my mind, but these two certainly are. Bob Uecker was a baseball player and announcer and honestly, one of the funniest humans to ever live. i was never a Brewers fan, but i did love listening to Bob call a game and bring back all the stories from his playing days. his Hall of Fame speech will be played forever. David Lynch was one of the most authentic humans that ever lived. his movies and tv shows gave me so much over the years. honestly, David gave me the strength to just say fuck it, and be weird. i'm sure he gave that to millions of people. both of these escapes today made me stop in my tracks. i'm just happy that i got to witness their greatness before my mind goes.
i did get my drivers license renewed today. i thought for sure i had failed the vision test. they use this font that looked like fucking hieroglyphics. but, i somehow passed. they now have the option to go 8 years between renewal dates. i paid the extra for the 8 years, wishful that before 2033 i will be living in a different state, or country, or be dead.
the Dayton Flyers played like absolute shit last night and lost at home to George Mason, 67-59. i watched the first 5 minutes and turned it off in disgust and never went back. now, they are truly fucking themselves.
after i got home from renewing my license, i got a little nap in before Manchester United played today. apparently, the players were sleeping as well as they were losing at halftime to the worst team in the Premier League, Southampton, 1-0. thankfully, Amad Diallo has decided this is going to be the season he becomes a superstar. he scored 3 goals in the second half. United won, 3-1. now, they are far from where they need to be, but at this point, i'll gladly take the 3 points and the money i won on Amad scoring today.
AEW last night was pretty good.
Abbott Elementary was pretty funny last night.

well, here is the Highlander update. the car battery charger showed up today from Amazon. i put it on for a couple hours and the battery wasn't charged yet. i decided fuck it, i'm not going to risk this shit. so, now i have AAA coming to install a new battery in it. they are about $20 cheaper than any place around me. so, i'm hoping that will solve the battery issues and allow me to get done what i need to get done this week; grocery shopping and getting my drivers license renewed.
i did write 5 poems last night, all for the book. the last one i wrote last night brought me to tears, so i'm thinking i might name the book after that poem. i have 3 more to go to reach 40. i'm planning on getting those done tonight and then get the book manuscript out to JPR in the next day or so. he wants all 40 poems together in one file. i haven't done it that way before, so i will try to allot myself plenty of time to get that done. but, it looks like i will accomplish the goal of getting it done before my birthday on the 21st.
AAA just called and the guy will be here in 50 minutes. it's snowing and he is coming from south of town during rush hour. i completely understand.
the NFL playoff game surprised a little bit last night. i didn't think the Vikings were going to be that bad. the Rams won, 27-9. the Rams will now play at the Eagles.
Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. i am so happy for Penta.

i am not as depressed as i thought i would be today after all the bullshit of yesterday. i guess i wrote it out of me last night. helps that the poems i sent to Synchronized Chaos will be published tomorrow. of course, one of them is about the scam artist.

so, i woke up this morning and looked at my phone. i normally see a text reminder to make by pill, etc. this morning, the first thing i saw was Manchester United had fired Erik ten Hag. Ruud van Nistelrooy has been named the interim manager. i know i said in the blog yesterday that some would blame the West Ham loss on ETH, i didn't figure it would be the owners and the board. my best guess is that Ruud will be the coach for the two games this week and then, if reports are true, they are going to hire Ruben Amorim as the next manager. he is currently the manager of Sporting CP in Portugal. i think they partly want to hire him so Manchester City can't. so yeah, my morning went from 0 to 100 really quickly.
the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday at the Chargers, 26-8. thank god i didn't see much of the game.
NXT Halloween Havoc was really good last night.

so, the woman i am doing a book with that should come out in July, texted me last night to tell me she needed some more poems. she then requested one that was David Lynch like. i haven't written anything weird for the sake of being weird in quite some time. so, i told her i would have something to her by the end of the night. when i started putting the dishes into the dishwasher last night, i had a few lines pop in my head. i went to my room and started writing the poem out and was pretty happy with what it turned into being. i sent it off to her and she loved it and will include it in the book. that made me happy. i texted her back and said i guess i still have it. it being that thing William S. Burroughs always talked about. the ego to believe that you are the best to ever do this, regardless if it is the truth or not. now, i just need to squeeze a few more out of the rock and i'll be good to go.

mom said the landscaper was coming this morning, so i knew i had to be up right around the crack of fucking dawn. mostly because my mother is not a morning person at all. so, i needed to be up long before she would be to get all the shit i need to get done done and make the coffee so it would be ready when she did get up. of course, the landscaper started with the house next door first, so both of us could have slept a few more hours. the younger version of me would have been pissed. i'm old now, just laugh. it is a long list of shit that i feel like if i took the wrong turn or two in my life, i would be in prison for. but, i like to think of myself as a civilized asshole, so... i got all the trash cans put away and took a shower. the grocery shopping went well today. i had to go to Tractor Supply to find some rabbit repellent. damn fuckers are eating the plants in the back garden. so, hopefully the shit i bought will work.
got home in time to watch part of the Champions League. man, i didn't think Real Madrid would get beat that bad today. they lost to Manchester City 4-0. ouch. so, the Champions League final will be Inter Milan vs. Manchester City in Istanbul, Turkey.

so, right as i was trying to fall asleep last night, we had some thunderstorms roll through. i eventually fell asleep at 3. i woke feeling refreshed, like 3 or 4 hours had gone by. it was 4 in the morning. that was basically how my night went until 7 or so this morning. and then of course, i got some ice this afternoon and took a 3 hour nap in my massage chair. good times.
