the guy from AAA couldn't believe the battery he was replacing last night was 9 years old. he was like, this new one has a 3 year warranty on it. i don't know if it will last 9 years, but it should work great. and it did. the Highlander started right up. that certainly took some stress off of mom's mind. $226 well spent in my mind. the AAA guy was only here about 15 minutes total.
the New York Rangers lost last night at Colorado, 3-2, in OT.
i did get the 3 poems i needed to write done last night. so, i have all 40 ready to go. i just need to get them sent to JPR, which i figure i will do either tonight or tomorrow.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
well, here is the Highlander update. the car battery charger showed up today from Amazon. i put it on for a couple hours and the battery wasn't charged yet. i decided fuck it, i'm not going to risk this shit. so, now i have AAA coming to install a new battery in it. they are about $20 cheaper than any place around me. so, i'm hoping that will solve the battery issues and allow me to get done what i need to get done this week; grocery shopping and getting my drivers license renewed.
i did write 5 poems last night, all for the book. the last one i wrote last night brought me to tears, so i'm thinking i might name the book after that poem. i have 3 more to go to reach 40. i'm planning on getting those done tonight and then get the book manuscript out to JPR in the next day or so. he wants all 40 poems together in one file. i haven't done it that way before, so i will try to allot myself plenty of time to get that done. but, it looks like i will accomplish the goal of getting it done before my birthday on the 21st.
AAA just called and the guy will be here in 50 minutes. it's snowing and he is coming from south of town during rush hour. i completely understand.
the NFL playoff game surprised a little bit last night. i didn't think the Vikings were going to be that bad. the Rams won, 27-9. the Rams will now play at the Eagles.
Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. i am so happy for Penta.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be NXT, St. Denis Medical and the season finale of Hard Knocks.
the New York Rangers play tonight at Colorado.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done tomorrow. it is supposed to be colder than shit tomorrow. joy.
i am not as depressed as i thought i would be today after all the bullshit of yesterday. i guess i wrote it out of me last night. helps that the poems i sent to Synchronized Chaos will be published tomorrow. of course, one of them is about the scam artist.
ok kids, i'm off to the living room to see when the guy from AAA gets to here to install the new battery.
until tomorrow...

i had to mail out a book today. i got everything ready and went into the garage to start the Highlander. it wouldn't start. well fuck me. so, i called AAA and they said they would give me a jump in about 90 minutes. ok. 90 minutes later, the guy was pulling up into the driveway. nicely played. he gave me a jump. said the battery looks fine, the sensors said it just needed charged, but said you should probably get a charger for here in the garage. good point. mom has ordered one from Amazon today. she went with me to the post office so i wouldn't have to turn the Highlander off. i got the book mailed and we went back home. i started the Highlander back up to get the mail before the snow started. thankfully, it started right up and was good. once that charger gets here, i'm going to make sure it stays charged, at least through the winter. the battery is like 8 years old, so i know damn well a new one is needed soon. so yeah, that was how my day started. good times.
i wrote 5 poems last night for the book. that brings that total up to 25. a few more nights like that and i'll have 40 in no time.
Notre Dame defeated Penn State, 27-24, to win their semifinal of the college football playoff last night. Texas and Ohio State plays tonight.

i will probably be watching the Ohio State vs. Texas game for most of the night.
i will most likely be on here early tomorrow. since there will be a ton of sports on tomorrow.
we are getting more snow right now. probably about 2 inches so far, with another 2 to come.

i didn't get to bed until 6 this morning. as much as i wanted to be celebrating the Yankees finally winning another division title, last night was more of a poetic depth plunge into my darkness. i find as a poet i often have to hang out with my demons to gain a better understanding of how to effectively use them in this fucking world. now, what usually happens is i will have a poetry dump here in the next couple days where 10 or 15 poems will appear out of nowhere. and with the doctor visits coming up, i should have the time.
the New York Yankees won last night over the Angels, 9-1. it was their 100th win of the season and it clinched the American League East for the first time since 2012. Aaron Boone became the first manager to win 100 games in both of his first two seasons as a manager. the Yankees start their final series at home before the playoffs tonight against Toronto.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Michie voted out Cliff. Michie won the first HOH of the final 3. he will face the winner of Nicole vs. Holly in the final HOH of the season.
Mr InBetween was very good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Real Time with Bill Maher, Room 104, Murder in the Bayou and AAA Presents Lucha Invades NY.
the New York Rangers are playing tonight at the Devils. i might watch some of that.
the grocery store was a zoo today. the line for the gas station was out to the street, so i had to get gas after i got the groceries. of course, it was only like 88 degrees today. thankfully, i didn't buy any frozen shit today. between gas, and both grocery stores, i think i spent a little over $110. in my mind, that's a win.
i will be on here tomorrow before Ohio State plays in the afternoon.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
until tomorrow kids...
