oh, how i hate these days...

where the fuck do i begin?...

so, last night, the hospital where i am supposed to have my procedure on Tuesday called two different times to try to get me to do the pre-registration. i eventually called them back. they of course had none of my information and had no fucking clue what i was going in for. you can just imagine the amount of confidence this fills me with. so, they called back this morning to schedule a time for the nurse to call me. mind you, the woman that completed my registration told me the nurse would call me the evening before the procedure. so, apparently the nurse is calling me at 9 in the morning tomorrow. this is a total fucking shit show so far.

shopping today was a nightmare to say the least. i had to go to 3 different stores but i got everything on the scroll. a little over $200, but it was close enough that i'm not going to beat myself up over it.

my arthritis and my bad back have been fucking killing me today. joy.

i had 3 shits before 11 AM and with the rain in the area, my arthritis and apathy decided today was the day to wage war. and people wonder why i'm not a positive person.

the New York Rangers played great last night and defeated Washington, 4-1. they are the first team this season to keep the Capitals to scoring less than 2 goals in a game. and, The King is now tied for 5th place in NHL history for goalie wins.

The Masked Singer was good last night. i absolutely nailed who The Flower was.

NXT was fucking crazy last night. this weekend of wrestling is going to be nuts.

mom's eye appointment went well this morning. she should have her new glasses sometime after Thanksgiving.

i was getting the poems together this morning when i heard the news about the latest school shooting. as someone who doesn't own a gun, i'm for as much gun control as possible. but i always imagine what if we gave two shits about mental health and actually took care of people before they got to the damn stage where they wanted a gun to do harm. now, the optimist buried deep within me believes it would help at the very least. the cynic that runs my damn life already knows nothing is going to fucking change and it never fucking will. and people wonder why i want to live somewhere else...

so, the woman i am madly in love with last night told me that she only wanted to be friends. now, i was a bit crushed in the moment, but in reality, i don't have very many friends. so, maybe over time she will come around or maybe i have a good soul i can bounce things off of for the rest of my life. so yeah, i'm sure there will be poems.

speaking of poems, i heard back from Alan at Misfit Magazine. he's taking a break to work on his own shit, so he asked me to send him work in late January. so, those 5 poems are going to be sent elsewhere in the next few days. hopefully, i have a little writing session and i have another bulk submission to send out before all my health shit takes over my life.

physical therapy went well today. my pain is really down from when i started. next Tuesday should be my last session.

the New York Rangers won last night over Detroit, 5-1. they play at Carolina tonight. i'll be tickled pink if they actually win two games in a row, again.

physical therapy went well yesterday. apparently, my left side of my neck is tighter than my right side of my neck. the therapist added some weights to my therapy this time. once the neck gets loose, i actually feel pretty good. of course, it never stays that way.

WWE Crown Jewel was pretty good yesterday as well. i was a little shocked that they finally put the Universal title on The Fiend. it's about damn time.

so, i rescheduled the appointments from yesterday. at first, they wanted me to do the upper GI scan the day after Christmas. no thanks. so, now i will be doing it the Tuesday before Thanksgiving at a hospital i didn't want to go to. joy. the appointment with the orthopedic doctor is now the week of Christmas. as i told my mother this morning, if either of these get cancelled, they will not get rescheduled. i'll play their game once. they piss me off from there, i take my ball and go home.

physical therapy went well today. the therapist and i talked about the Dayton Flyers for the full hour. i think most of my appointments are with him, so it should be a good time. i was able to do most of the exercises without a ton of pain. so, hopefully in 3 weeks my neck will be good enough that i'll just cancel the damn orthopedic appointment myself.

i couldn't find a comfortable spot last night as my right shoulder decided to declare war on the rest of my body. that was fun. i think i just tossed and turned for five hours. joy. and in the grocery store today, it was like my right arm decided it had a mind for itself as the nerves and my arthritis were going fucking nuts. thankfully, i'm used to be being the weird one out in public, so people looking at me doesn't bother me.

the New York Yankees lost last night, 8-3. hard to win when you have more errors than runs. i fully expect the Yankees season to end tonight, if it does, it will be the first decade since the 1910's that the Yankees haven't made it to a World Series. oh well. i do feel bad for CC though. that was hard to watch last night.

a rainy Friday...

so, i decided to play the good son last night and do the dishes. mom usually does them, mostly because she wants to feel useful i believe, but i did them last night. it took me about 60 minutes to do them. the joys of a bad back. i told her if we ever fucking move again, the house will either have a dishwasher or someone that comes with the house that will do them.

i had to take mom to get an x-ray today. i brought along my little notebook to write, just in case it took a long time. i wrote 1 poem today. we were in and out of the place in like 25 minutes or so. after that, she wanted to go to Burger King. she wanted a slushie and then she decided she wanted to try the Impossible Whopper. i asked her how it was when she was done eating it at home. she said it tasted like hype. she's spent most of the rest of the day on the toilet. good times.

it started to rain just as i went to the grocery store today. and of course, it rained the whole fucking time. apparently, my mother has way too low sodium levels at the moment. it's funny, since my levels are too high. so, i had to get her stuff today to get those levels back up. i took full advantage of the deals this week and got the groceries for under $90.

so the Astros beat the Rays last night, 6-1. the ALCS between the Astros and Yankees will start Saturday night in Houston.

pain and frustration, what a mix...

so, last night, the pain in mom's side got worse. of course, pride is the thing holding her back from having it looked at. until a sleepless night and then she finally called the doctor and started to bitch and complain. i guess tomorrow i will take her to get a x-ray of her ribs. i just got back from picking up the muscle relaxers the doctor ordered her today. of course, Medicare wanted him to fill out more paperwork before they would pay for it. she said fuck it, and just go pay for it. thankfully, it wasn't too expensive. that was my second trip to the store today to pick up pills. i had two prescriptions for myself i had to get. i start my physical therapy the day before i get a camera shoved down my throat. i made another trip to Meijer today. their website said what i was looking for yesterday was in. of course, it wasn't. but, i brought the frame sizes i needed along with me, so i got that done today. i had 4 pieces of art that needed frames. and to top off this random long ass note to start this blog off, i wrote 3 poems last night. i typed those up at 5 in the morning. i got to bed around 6 and was up at 9. joy.

the Cardinals and the Nationals advanced yesterday to the NLCS. that should be an interesting series.

i probably will watch some of the ALDS Game 5 tonight.

i love this time of year. hockey is starting back, the baseball playoffs have begun, football is on every night of the week basically and i have an endless amount of things to keep my brain occupied.

tonight, the New York Yankees start their ALDS series against the Twins. hopefully, history will repeat itself and the Yankees will eliminate the Twins like they always do.

the grocery store wasn't bad today. of course, i didn't get there until the afternoon, so the sale items had been ransacked by the elderly already.

i did watch a good portion of the 4th quarter of the Seahawks and Rams game last night. i always love when the Rams lose.

the New York Rangers defeated Winnipeg last night, 6-4. the additions the Rangers made over the summer made themselves known immediately. i am going to love Trouba, that's for sure. i already was in love with Panarin. and Kakko certainly didn't look out of place at 18 years old out there. the Rangers play again in Ottawa on Saturday night. it was win number 450 for The King.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow. Ohio State doesn't play until tomorrow night and Manchester United plays on Sunday. and i should be on here long before the Yankees play Game 2.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. it finally cooled down here last night. we've had the windows open all day long to air out the house. it feels so much better.
