this is what happens...

so, i was dead tired last night and went to sleep a little after 2 AM. i woke up feeling really relaxed. i rolled over and the clock said 4:41 AM. i deflated. it was then a process of twenty minute naps until 6 AM came along. i frustratingly got up and got my day going. of course, after i had breakfast and talked to mom a bit, i went out to my massage chair and fell asleep. 3 hours later, woke up and was shocked. i would give a limb to get a decent night of continuous sleep.

The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.

Abbott Elementary was very funny last night.

AEW Dynamite was pretty good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Minnesota.

Manchester United plays later today at home against Real Sociedad in the Europa League. the first leg finished 1-1. so, United needs to win today to advance.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow long before the Dayton Flyers play tomorrow night in the A10 tournament.

no clue what i will make for dinner tonight. kind of depends on how mom is feeling.

closer to my goal...

i have always wanted to be one of those people that don't wake up until noon. the problem is, i have to go to sleep sometime around 8 in the morning for that to happen. so, when i went to sleep this morning at 5:41 AM, i was pretty happy when i woke up at 10:45 AM. maybe these meds they have me on now are actually helping me lose weight and sleep. what a concept.

i happened to watch the Sly Lives (AKA The Burden of Black Genius) today on HULU. it was fantastic. i highly recommend everyone checking it out.

here are your links for this day of Black History Month:

the Dayton Flyers won last night at Fordham, 93-76.

finally, some normalcy...

they came to fix the oven today. i guess one of the wires burned out. it was a pretty easy fix and the oven went up to 450 in no time after it was fixed. the repair came with a 90 day warranty, so i'm really hoping this fix lasts for years. so, looks like i will finally make the pizza i was going to have for my birthday last week tonight.

the New York Rangers got punched in the dick yesterday, losing at home to Colorado, 5-4. Colorado scored the winning goal with 15 seconds left in the game. fuck me.

Manchester United won 1-0 yesterday at Fulham. glad they won but shit they need to play better.

i did watch both NFL games yesterday. i was really pulling for Washington and Buffalo to win, so, of course, the Eagles and Chiefs won. fuck me.

the season finale of The Agency last night was fucking great. it perfectly sets up what should be a great season 2.

Dexter Original Sin last night was really good. the ending was one of those oh shit moments.

the house of insomnia...

so, i didn't get to bed until 5 AM. i did the dishes after i watched the shows last night and then sent those poems out. eventually, my brain gave up and i fell asleep around 5. little did i know, mom didn't fall asleep until around 5 as well. so, when i was chowing down breakfast at 11:30 this morning, knowing that i had to get her to her physical therapy at 1 this afternoon; she was on the phone cancelling her appointment as most of her breakfast ended up as vomit in the trash can. i was getting ready when she told me she wasn't going. that set off a nice chain of events with my body, as i tried to slow all the processes down, if you know what i mean. that didn't work. so, after a few memorable moments on the toilet, i took a nap this afternoon and think i'm back on the tracks. as for my mother, i think she is still asleep. i figure she needs it.

why i love pro wrestling...

last night, the WWE Royal Rumble went on forever it seemed like. if i had any complaints about the show, that would be the start and end of it. when your main event starts around 11:45 and you have already been watching for nearly 5 hours... lets just say i'm no longer a spring chicken. i thought both rumble matches were good, with Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley emerging as your winners. there was way more surprises in the women's rumble this year. i thought the pitch black match was ok, as were the other singles matches. the main event was good, but the story afterwards was the best fucking storytelling WWE has done in decades. to watch Sami Zayn turn on Roman Reigns and the way the crowd popped for it, chef's kiss. the way Jey Uso walked out on his family and everything that could come from that, chef's kiss. and to be honest, a chef's kiss to the crowd last night in San Antonio, Texas for the "Fuck You Roman" chant that was louder than i think anyone expected. when this is the kickoff to the road to WrestleMania, i can't fucking wait for the next few months and what happens.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

Austin City Limits had The War on Drugs on last night. that was a fun hour of music.

Manchester United won yesterday against Reading in the FA Cup, 3-1.

the Dayton Flyers destroyed Richmond yesterday, 86-60.

the USMNT and Colombia played a 0-0 draw last night. thank god i didn't watch.

the New York Knicks lost last night at the Nets, 122-115.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

on the DVR tonight will be Your Honor and The Last of Us.

i finished with a little more money than i started with by last night in my day of gambling. i'm hoping for better results today.

i will be watching both games today in the NFL playoffs. the Eagles play the 49ers first, then the Bengals play at Kansas City. i have the 49ers and Bengals winning today.

i'm sure i will watch some of the FA Cup action today and some college basketball. i did love watching Liverpool getting knocked out of the FA Cup this morning.

i have no clue when i will be on here on Monday.

i'm currently running on 3 1/2 hours of sleep, so i will probably get a nap in before the football games. or at least i fucking hope i do.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

a series doesn't begin until the home team loses...

that is an old adage i have heard since i was a child. i'm thinking about it as i recall the Rangers game last night. they lost 2-0 to Carolina. the power play failed them mightily last night. with that being said, Carolina had the best penalty kill this season. so, basically, the Rangers desperately need to win Game 3 at home tomorrow. if they don't, i don't see this series going past 4 or 5 games at best.

here are the highlights from the Battle of Alberta last night:

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was really good last night.

a wasted day...

i had all these plans today, and instead of actually getting shit done, i spent most of the fucking day on the phone with Anthem, Rite Aid and the guy who set up my new insurance. well, it turns out what the main fuck up was, and i wish someone would have pointed this out to me way sooner than now, the guy who got me my new insurance put in my birthday incorrectly. so when i was telling everyone that i was born on January 21, all they saw on the computer was that Anthem had my birthday down as January 27. the woman at Rite Aid, when i was calling to get two prescriptions refilled, told me about the birthday mix up. so, i ended up having to call Anthem and go through the entire application process again. it also doesn't help that my mother claims me on her taxes. i'm not sure if Anthem truly understands that this insurance is for me. and they kindly didn't tell me that it would take 48 hours for the changes to go into effect. and people wonder why i get depressed and why i apologize to my 8 year old self on days like these. so, i guess by early next week i'll truly know what the fuck is going on with my insurance. if it still fucked up after all this, i will slip into the ether and i'm sure someone will be able to write a nice tragedy about my story.

AEW was excellent last night.

Batwoman was really good last night.

I Can See Your Voice was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Young Sheldon, United States of Al and two episodes of B Positive. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Columbus. hopefully, they will win.

also in Columbus tonight, the USMNT takes on El Salvador in a World Cup qualifying game. the USA really needs to win tonight. i would love if it would be decisively as well.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. knowing my luck, i'll have another round of bullshit to tackle tomorrow. and it isn't like all the shit i wanted to get done today doesn't have to eventually get done. so yeah, it might as well fucking snow and whatever the fuck else to piss me off tomorrow and i'll just keep plowing through. eventually, my body will tap out and i'll be in my chair with ice on my back. with any luck, one day it will be a nice hard slab and they are putting me in to cremate me. of course, i'm not sure if anyone would actually want the ashes.

nothing like going to bed at 5 AM

so yesterday had a bit of everything in it. the trip to get my mother's pills turned into another grocery store odyssey. i knew we were going to have cheeseburgers for dinner last night, so i knew i needed to get more of those and i figured fuck it, just get what is on the list. and Kroger was busier than shit, but i did get everything on the list. hopefully, that means there will be less on the list on Wednesday.

WWE Money in the Bank was spectacular last night. other than the stream being fucked up on Peacock right as the men's match was getting ready to start, i thought the whole show was great.

the Yankees beat the Red Sox last night, 9-1. they took 2 out of 3 in the series. at least that's a start. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow with the Phillies.

the USMNT defeated Canada yesterday, 1-0, to win the group at the Gold Cup. they scored 20 seconds into the game and then just held the fuck on for the rest. i really hope they don't think this is a recipe for success going forward in this tournament.

Big Brother was good last night. hopefully, this will be Frenchie's last week in the house.
