well, i might as well start off with the only good thing from yesterday. Manchester United won at West Ham, 2-1. the officiating was awful and tried their fucking hardest to make sure West Ham got something out of the game. CR7 scored and should have had two penalties called when he was fouled in the box, but of course, the Luke Shaw handball at the death of the game was called for West Ham. David De Gea finally made a save on a penalty. and hats off to Jesse Lingard on his game winner after what happened in the Champions League earlier in the week.
the New Orleans Saints were awful yesterday. they couldn't get anything going on offense. and the defense couldn't stop a cold yesterday. the Saints lost to Carolina, 26-7.
the Yankees lost yesterday to Cleveland, 11-1. i guess the Yankees really don't want to make the playoffs. hopefully, when they are eliminated from that chance, Boone gets fired and Cashman realizes he's been the general manager for too long now and he gives up the job for someone else. they start a series tonight at home against Texas. i won't be watching.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was really good last night. the season finale is next week.
Heels was excellent last night.
Billions was great last night.
American Rust was really good last night.
Scenes From A Marriage was amazing last night.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

we got about an inch of snow last night. just once in my life, i want to live in a place where snow in April isn't a fucking possibility. mom just said it was snowing sideways while i was back in my room going through the cards i got today. of course, the sun came out and now everything is just wet.
grocery shopping was a bit nuts today. i had to go to 4 stores to get everything, which i almost did except Meijer was out of the coffee mom likes there. i did get some baseball, football and hockey cards today. there were hits in both the baseball and football boxes from Fairfield. the hockey cards were from Upper Deck. there were a few good ones in the 2 packs i got.

NXT UK was really good last night.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Total Bellas was really good last night.
Cari & Jemele Won't Stick to Sports was hilarious last night.
the New York Rangers lost to the Islanders last night 4-0. honestly, the boys took way too fucking many penalties. add in the nerves from the kids and a few shots a goalie has to save, and you have one fucking night to forget. the two teams play again on Saturday.

i took a fine tooth comb to my baseball cards i have from 1977 and 1978 last night/this morning. amazingly, i found some cards that are still in pretty good shape. i'm waiting on some more supplies to show up. once they do, i'll start taking some pictures...

of course, it couldn't be the toilet paper i wanted, but shit, it will do. and mom got a bunch of wipes sent to the house today. so, we're set for the next month or so i think. i did get everything on the grocery list today. took going to 3 different stores to do it. i did get a good laugh when i was in Family Dollar. they were talking about the woman that was leaving the store when i was walking in. apparently, that was her third time in the store that day. mind you, this was before noon. she changed her clothes and came back twice. all for toilet paper and cleaning supplies. the joy of living in a town full of Republicans. everyone here is hoarding everything. fucking assholes.

i managed to shave a bit and get the fucking hair off of my neck before i took a shower today. amazingly, i think the barber shop in town is still open. surprised no one has told the state about that.
Obi Toppin and Anthony Grant pulled off another double trophy take again. both won the Naismith Coach and Player of the Year.
i should be on here early tomorrow. it will definitely be before the first night of WrestleMania 36 starts.

i was walking in the grocery store today and my back started to spasm while the pinched nerve in my right arm started to flare up. i was almost hoping it was the start of a heart attack. of course, it wasn't. it reminded me of a conversation i had with a homeless guy when i was a teenager. he said his only goal was to make sure he wasn't a pretty corpse. i have little doubt we are both going to achieve that goal.
the grocery store wasn't too bad today. the prices keep going up on shit. joy. i did get stuck behind a couple school buses on the way home. i had a good laugh at the black kids being dropped off in what once was a lillywhite school district. Northmont is what Trotwood was in the 90's. so fucking hilarious. of course, all the kids dropped off in Brookville, where i live, were white and clueless to the real world. if i am still living here when diversity hits this town, i will laugh my ass off at the number of whites fleeing for something better.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Nick got evicted. Michie is the new HOH. hopefully, this will be when they get Christie out. the double eviction is coming this week.
i did watch some college football last night.
the New Orleans Saints lost to Miami last night, 16-13. i'm interested to see who the Saints are going to cut to make it down to the 53 man roster.
i did watch the USA women's national team defeat Portugal 4-0 last night.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight at home against Oakland. i would love to see them get a little payback for the series in Oakland.
i'll probably watch some college football tonight as well.
the tricky shit starts tomorrow morning. Manchester United plays early tomorrow morning.
there's a slight window after that is over where i'm going to try to write the blog tomorrow. i need to have it done before noon as Ohio State starts their season off then.
the Yankees play tomorrow afternoon and NXT UK Takeover:Cardiff happens as well.
so in case i'm not on here right after or before Manchester United plays, i might not be on here until early Saturday evening. best case scenario is United gets up big early and i can start on the blog early. i know, i'm fucking dreaming.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i know a fucking hurricane is on the way. luckily, it looks like it might be headed right for the dump the asshole that thinks he's king of this country calls a resort. i believe they call that karma.

apparently, certain people don't understand that once the bridge is burned, your best bet is to never fucking get close to it again. so, i saw yesterday that Debbie Kirk was talking shit about my mother on the GoFundMe page, that for some fucking reason was accepting donations again. my name was still clearly on the page, which totally infuriated me. i contacted the guy that contacted me over Debbie's bogus fraud claims and told him what was going on. i told him i figured she still had me listed as the beneficiary so she could claim i was stealing from her again. i don't have an account with GoFundMe any longer, so this could not be possible. i checked last night and my name is still listed but the account is once again not accepting donations. i know Debbie has surgery today and if she has any friends left, i doubt any of them are competent enough to actually start a GoFundMe and have the money go directly to her. i joked that if she happens to die in surgery, they could just take down the page completely as i don't want my name associated with that cunt any longer. i'm not sure i can make it any fucking clearer than that.
i heard back on the poems i sent to Riggwelter the other day. possibly the nicest rejection letter i have ever received. so there's another 5 back on the pile.
World Cup update:
France defeated Belgium yesterday 1-0. today England takes on Croatia in the other semifinal.
the New York Yankees lost last night to Baltimore 6-5. they are now 3 1/2 games behind Boston in the division. they have to win tonight to get a split in the series.

i have to take mom to the post office sometime today to sign for some mail because the person that delivers the mail doesn't know how to ring the fucking doorbell.
it would also be nice if the mail i know that was sent from England almost two weeks ago would actually arrive already, or i wish they were done reading it. i have no doubt that the magazines that get sent to me, the post office will peruse before they actually put them in the mailbox.
thanks for all the positive comments on the poems published recently at Misfit Magazine and The Beatnik Cowboy. i really do appreciate them.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after i take mom to get a copy of her x-rays for the bullshit she has to go to on Friday. god willing, that will be the final time her old job tries to show that she can still work. she had to postpone the injection for her back that she really, really needs so she could do this shit. to say i'm a little pissy at the moment would be an understatement.

it's hard for me to even imagine the New York Yankees are 1 win away from going to the World Series. before i get deep into that, a couple of things first...
mom had her appointment this morning cancelled. she's on an antibiotic for an ear infection and the doctor didn't want to give her steroids while on that. at least they called before i made the drive down there.
i heard back from Larissa at Rose Red Review on my poetry submission from back in July. she thanked me for the submission but informed she has decided to close Rose Red Review. so, that's 6 more poems back in circulation now.
the Yankees got some great pitching yesterday and finally solved their nemesis to defeat Houston 5-0 to go up 3 -2 in the ALCS. i loved that the Houston players admitted after the game that the Yankee Stadium crowd got to them in the 3 games. the Yankees will go to the World Series if they win Game 6 in Houston on Friday night. this will probably be the most jacked i have been for a baseball game since 2009.
Manchester United won 1-0 yesterday against Benfica in the Champions League. that pretty much guarantees that United will make it out of the group stage. the game was truly fucking boring and if it wasn't for Benfica's goalkeeper making a huge mistake, i doubt there would have been a goal scored in the game. the injuries that United have at the moment are truly catching up with them.
NXT was excellent last night.
Lucha Underground was fucking spectacular last night. i hope to hell there's a season 4 coming soon.
Total Bellas was pretty good last night. that season finale will be next week.

i haven't really got into the NBA season starting yet. i think i might actually give a shit about it once Christmas rolls around.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the fucking Islanders. if the Rangers lose this game, i'm really hoping the GM knows it's time for a fucking change. be it players or the coaches, do fucking something before the whole damn season is lost.
i think i'm going to be a true asshole and make a trip to the grocery store now. i love going once in a while where i'm around people who just got off of work. i fully come across with that i've been retired since i was 26 look. it's fun at times.
i have to go today because if i go tomorrow and the Yankees lose Game 6, then it's my fault. hello, my name is fucked in the head. pleased to meet you.

first off, Happy Father's Day to all the good fathers out there. i never knew what that was like, so enjoy it you lucky fuckers.
we've had some storms overnight, so my arthritis has been fucking with me. so, during that pain this morning, i happened to notice that my desk in my room looked different. i knew the cleaning ladies were here yesterday, so that didn't seem too unusual. that was until i noticed one of my Batman items was missing. i had the night light that i hardly ever use sitting out on the corner and it was gone. i searched all over the room, thinking maybe it got knocked over or fell off or something. no such luck. so, i can only assume one of the cleaning ladies stole the damn thing. i can't imagine this weekend being any better for me. theft, my sister burning food and using every fucking dish in the house, thoughts of my father and our shitty relationship, my mother trying her best to get better while dealing with getting older, and here i am, in fucking pain every other second i take a breath. yet another day i will apologize to the 8 year old me. as usual, you were absolutely correct. a ladder, a rope and the tree in the backyard... the only freedom i was ever going to know.
the New York Yankees lost yet again yesterday to Oakland, 5-2. that's 5 damn losses in a row. they will try to avoid the sweep this afternoon.
the T.J. Miller comedy special on HBO last night, Meticulously Ridiculous, was fucking as absurd as i thought it was going to be. some parts had me scratching my head and other parts had me laughing my ass off.
ROH was excellent last night.

i have watched most of the Confederations Cup today. the match between Mexico and Portugal was very good. Chile vs. Cameroon is on right now.
i wrote 5 poems last night. given the mood this blog post has been in, you can imagine what the poems were like. i really liked a few of them. i need to write a few more before i think of my next round of submissions.

i was tempted to get the UFC ppv last night, but i decided not to as i figured the main event wasn't going to last long enough for that kind of money. and when i turned on ESPN at 1:30 in the morning and they are describing Ronda beating Bethe in 34 seconds, i figured i just saved myself $60. i'm really happy she knocked her out. i figured she might actually break every bone in her body if she wanted to. and i really doubt there is a woman on the planet that can beat her right now. here's her post match interview:
the New York Yankees lost 8-2 last night. the rubber match of the series is this afternoon. i really hope to be enjoying a victory beer early this evening.
my sister, mother and i got the furniture from IKEA put together without any fights or arguments. i said that's an obvious sign that we've matured and are old. my sister is getting ready to go to South Africa in a few weeks i believe. i reminded her not to kill any lions while she's there.
Power was excellent last night. i thought for a hot second they killed off the main character last night, bu they didn't. it was another classic ending. i really like how the series is progressing by adding another wrinkle to the story each week.
ROH was great last night. anytime i get to watch the Young Bucks wrestle, i take advantage of it. throw in AJ Styles and Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly reuniting and you have a great hour of wrestling.
enjoy some Sunday tunes:
tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, True Detective, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Ballers, The Brink, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. considering i actually got a decent night of sleep, i'll probably watch all of the shows tonight.
i did watch the Community Shield this morning. hard to watch a game where you want both teams to lose, but i did get a good laugh when Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0. Wenger finally gets a win over Mourinho. and you could tell after the match, both coaches hate each other. i especially liked when Mourinho chucked the runners up medal into the stands. pure class, all the time. these are the moments when i'm so happy he's never coached Manchester United.

the more i get around people, the more i am able to stomach the situation. not that i am more accepting of ignorance or racism, i find myself less likely to simply write those dumb fucks off after a few seconds like before. now, i usually give them a minute or so. progress.
after following mom to return her rental car, we went to Applebee's for lunch. i haven't been to this restaurant in years. the menu was an obvious sign that it had been even longer than i thought. i wanted to get something that wouldn't blow up my stomach, so what better than pretzels, cheese, bacon, ham, turkey, bread and lemonade. i figure i'm doing my best to make sure i'm dead sometime in my 40's. i watched some of the USA soccer game while i was there, but they weren't playing well, so i didn't mind leaving when we did. more on that later.
we went to Menards after lunch. we found stuff for the birds and hopefully some pots that will work for the wildflowers i want to plant. sadly, i think we brought the wind from the farm out here with us. we also got a bird feeder for my uncle. of course, mom made me go over and give it to him while he was sitting out with the neighbors on the other side of his house. meeting new people is not a fun task for me. i did bite my tongue when i noticed the wife of Carl had two black eyes. i was proud of myself not making the obvious domestic violence joke right then and there. as i told my mother when i got home, i deserve sainthood after 25 minutes of listening to my aunt complain about her bad hips. mom, who hit her head while we were at the store, wasn't in the mood. that's always fun.
so after putting out the new flag, the new solar lights, a new hummingbird feeder and putting away the new birdseed, i decided to get online and check some scores. HOLY SHIT. how the fuck did the USA come back and win that game?
more on that after this music break:
when i saw the USA beat the Netherlands 4-3, i thought it was a joke. they were losing 3-1 when i left the restaurant. when i saw the goals that won it, i was really happy. that's the first win EVER over the Dutch. and it is only the 3rd time in 45 years that the team has come back to win after being down by 2 or more goals. talk about an unexpected victory beer. enjoy some goals:
i laughed when i saw that Bobby Wood scored the winner. when i was leaving the restaurant, i was telling mom that he has all the talent in the world but has no fucking clue how to put it together on the national stage. one of the few times where i enjoy being wrong. of course, i truly hope this wasn't simply a case of the sun shining on a dog's ass.
the New York Yankees broke out the long ball once again and entered the 9th inning last night leading 8-1. what happened next had me angrier than shit. the Angels batted around and had the game tying run at 3rd base when the Yankees finally got the last out. a 8-7 win that felt like a damn loss. that was a very angry victory beer.
that anger took a little while to leave me last night. thankfully, i had shit to watch on TV. NJPW was excellent last night. 2 very good tag team matches. i then watched VICE. easily, one of the best news shows around. i highly recommend that EVERYONE watches it.
today is going to be a busy one. i believe mom and i are going to the grocery store this morning. that should be fun. i say that with clenched fists. i'm hoping we're back home before the Champions League final between Juventus and Barcelona. as much as i would love to see Juventus win because of Patrice Evra, i can't imagine Messi not winning another title. after that, it will be time for the Belmont Stakes. i'm really hoping to see a Triple Crown winner this year. it's been too damn long since the last one (1978). i don't know if i'll watch Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final after that or the Yankees play. late tonight it will be ROH and god knows what else is on as i'm trying to get to sleep.
if i manage to sneak in a nap sometime today, i fully expect to get some writing done late tonight.
whatever happens i'll be back on here tomorrow morning.
i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. hopefully the weather is good wherever you are. if you are watching the Champions League Final, enjoy the game. if you aren't watching the game, please understand that the rest of the ENTIRE world is, so enjoy your loneliness.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...
