and suddenly, the cool breeze has gone away...

i knew when mom said she wanted to go to the local grocery store today, she was feeling better. of course, we were gone for less than a hour and she was pooped by the time we got back. her blood sugar has finally started approaching "normal" numbers. i'm hoping this injection will do her some good, but it's also a matter of her wanting it to. and she wonders why i tell her she's on the back side of the circle now.

the trip to the bank yesterday was interesting. the teller was this beautiful and i mean fucking beautiful black woman named Alexis. she had to be in her early 20's i believe. she had these neon blue fingernails that will soon be dancing in my poems, trust me. i hope to god i see her again. that's the kind of woman you can write books about.

i got home in time to watch the New York Yankees play like shit and lose to Baltimore 7-5. mostly, it was Sonny Gray that shit the bed, during and after the game. thankfully, Lance Lynn came in and gave the Yankees a chance. but, the offense left a small village on base. they pissed away a chance to get closer to Boston. instead, they are now 5 1/2 games out and start a 4 game series in Boston tonight. they will need to win at least 3 out of 4 if they truly have any fucking desire to win this division.

i was not surprised when the Urban Meyer news hit last night. and i will not be surprised if/when Ohio State fires him. Urban has never learned it's a different world we all live in now.

NXT was excellent last night.

Lucha Underground was really good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. i truly hope Rachel gets evicted tonight and the side of the house that believes they are in power are dumbfounded once again. this has been the best season in years.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother and Snowfall.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast today. you can find that by going here:

the humidity made a return today, so summer is truly back in effect now.

i think the first NFL preseason game is tonight. i might watch a little, but not much of it.

i did watch a little of the MLS All-Star game last night.

i'll be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. i know i have some prescriptions to pick up and i need a bottle of spiced rum as well. oh yeah, and whatever mom has on the scroll.

an odd evening

last night was one of those nights where the swing of emotions was just fucking brutal.

the New York Yankees didn't get much offense yesterday other than from Didi Gregorious. he drove in 3 runs and the rest of the team didn't do shit. they lost 4-3. they will get a chance to win the series this afternoon. sadly, Boston got a dramatic win last night, so they are back in first place in the division.

Smackdown was pretty good last night. i think i am still in shock that Shinsuke Nakamura beat John Cena clean last night. it would be amazing to see Shinsuke win the title at SummerSlam.

205 Live last night was much better than the last few weeks.

Deadliest Catch was really good last night.

Fear(less) with Tem Ferriss last night was excellent. the interview with Bill Burr was great.

The Jim Jefferies Show last night was fucking hilarious.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Lucha Underground and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

Manchester United plays this afternoon in Ireland. it's their last preseason friendly. hopefully they go out with a victory.

at some point today i suppose i should work in a shave and shower.

i might check out some of the MLS All Star game tonight. they are playing against Real Madrid.

i'm still losing weight, which i am happy about. i imagine i would lose more if i actually tried. apathy keeps that from happening.

i see that Sam Miller fights the same way he plays basketball.

the poetic juices strike again

i wrote 4 poems last night before i went to sleep. i never try to do this, as i usually sleep like shit afterwards. sure enough, as soon as i woke up this morning, i had another poem i had to write. my brain never shuts off anymore. as great as that is sometimes, it's fucking evil as well. i typed the 5 poems up and really like them. i believe i have 10 poems ready to go out tomorrow. i'd like to start August off strong for a change.

the New York Yankees showed a little heart last night and won 6-5 in 10 innings against the Mets. i gladly had something strong to drink after that one. always good to beat the fucking Mets. they play again tonight.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good but was nowhere near as good as last week. the closing of the show almost saved it, with Randy Orton attacking Brock Lesnar, but 3 hours is just too fucking long when the show drags. hopefully Smackdown tonight will be better.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and the season finale of Deadliest Catch.

i got some great FREE music on NoiseTrade today. i'll post the links below in the music section.

i did listen to the latest Sam & Cathy podcast. hilarious as usual. you can find it by going here:

i got all the trash picked up and now, i just want to relax and get a nap in. it's not that it's fucking hot, it's the fucking humidity that kills me. i spent 20 minutes outside and i'm either sweating or ready to curl up like a cat and go to sleep.

of course, if i slept better at night, i probably wouldn't have this problem. or maybe i'm just a lazy fuck who wishes he could sleep more.

no chatter needed from the peanut gallery.

at least i saved $60

i was tempted to get the UFC ppv last night, but i decided not to as i figured the main event wasn't going to last long enough for that kind of money. and when i turned on ESPN at 1:30 in the morning and they are describing Ronda beating Bethe in 34 seconds, i figured i just saved myself $60. i'm really happy she knocked her out. i figured she might actually break every bone in her body if she wanted to. and i really doubt there is a woman on the planet that can beat her right now. here's her post match interview:

the New York Yankees lost 8-2 last night. the rubber match of the series is this afternoon. i really hope to be enjoying a victory beer early this evening.

my sister, mother and i got the furniture from IKEA put together without any fights or arguments. i said that's an obvious sign that we've matured and are old. my sister is getting ready to go to South Africa in a few weeks i believe. i reminded her not to kill any lions while she's there.

Power was excellent last night. i thought for a hot second they killed off the main character last night, bu they didn't. it was another classic ending. i really like how the series is progressing by adding another wrinkle to the story each week.

ROH was great last night. anytime i get to watch the Young Bucks wrestle, i take advantage of it. throw in AJ Styles and Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly reuniting and you have a great hour of wrestling.

enjoy some Sunday tunes:

tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, True Detective, The Strain, Last Week Tonight, Ballers, The Brink, Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex. considering i actually got a decent night of sleep, i'll probably watch all of the shows tonight.

i did watch the Community Shield this morning. hard to watch a game where you want both teams to lose, but i did get a good laugh when Arsenal beat Chelsea 1-0. Wenger finally gets a win over Mourinho. and you could tell after the match, both coaches hate each other. i especially liked when Mourinho chucked the runners up medal into the stands. pure class, all the time. these are the moments when i'm so happy he's never coached Manchester United.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

and here comes the wind

but first, about my Sunday. a pretty damn good one considering how my life has been for the last 2 weeks or so. first off, a nice and tidy 2-0 win by Manchester United. Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie with the goals. they have a huge match in a few days against Real Madrid in Champions League play. i'm really looking forward to this one. if they can win in Spain it might have me thinking about... fuck, i'm not going to say it and jinx anything.

next up, a nice 5-1 win for the New York Rangers. i think they have found the right combinations this year finally. hopefully i am correct. not much time to make up for the early season stumbles.

i'm now 1/2 game out of first place in fantasy hockey. not sure how i have done it with the number of changes i have already had to make. of course, i will take luck as long as it is working for me.

i enjoyed the Grammys last night for the most part. i actually knew most of the people in it this year. not sure if that's my musical tastes are changing or i'm simply just more aware.

as for the Sunday night shows i normally watch, Shameless takes the prize for last night. i totally didn't see the little girl with a penis coming at all. as for House of Lies, why does part of me think that's more like how Matt Damon really is like in real life? Girls was a bit odd and Californication always makes me laugh.

as for today, the wind has been wicked today. most of the buildings here on the farm were built in the 1800's. so, i'm just waiting for the one big gust to blow something down. i've been out here since 1997 and so far, only pieces of a roof have been victim to the wind.

i did manage to write 3 more poems today and get the trash cans before they blew down the road. add on getting the dishes done and i'd like to think i've been somewhat productive today. i'll probably type up the poems tomorrow, unless wrestling bores me to death tonight.

i truly enjoy when people try to comment on this blog with fake names and whatnot. it truly amuses me. like i'm going to become frustrated or something. please.
