arthritis is slowly killing me...

i stretch everyday. i try to be productive and actually do something everyday. and yesterday was one of those days where i was reminded none of that fucking matters. my back was all fucked up after i got done vacuuming the house. my package from Amazon never arrived. i'm not sure how the fuck a 2lb. box gets put on a UPS truck at 8 in the morning and never finds its way to the house less than 30 minutes away. now, UPS says i'll get the package on Monday and Amazon says it will be on Tuesday. have i mentioned how i fucking love stress?

the only good thing from yesterday was the 5 poems i wrote. i should have enough now to do another round of submissions this upcoming week.

i helped mom make some french toast for breakfast this morning. i don't think she trusts me just yet cooking everything on my own. and someone dares to wonder why i'm stubborn.

ROH was really good last night.

i did watch some of the UFC last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the series finale of I Know This Much Is True, the season finale of Insecure, I May Destroy You, Last Week Tonight, Hightown, VICE, the mid-season finale of Billions and Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. i'll be watching WWE Backlash on WWE Network for most of the night.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a good Saturday. hope your Sunday will be even better.

it's fucking obvious the Atlanta police department needs to be all fired and start the fuck over.

that's all for me kids...

until tomorrow...

when anger becomes hatred...

i knew Ohio State was playing with fire last night when the settled for field goals instead of touchdowns against Clemson. then add in the SEC officials (yes, i'm talking about you, you in-bred, backwoods, dumb fucks that should never be allowed on a football field again) and i had that awful feeling come up once again. that being said, Ohio State did have a chance to win the game in the final minute. Ohio State's wide receiver made a mistake and wasn't on the same page with the quarterback and well, fuck, everyone knows what happened next... Clemson 29 - Ohio State 23. to all the players either leaving early or graduating, thank you for your time at Ohio State. you will be missed. for the ones coming back, use the anger in your gut as fuel for next season. as for the officials in the game, especially the replay official, please fucking DIE.

in the other game, LSU fucking destroyed Oklahoma, 63-28. hopefully they will do the same thing to Clemson on January 13th.

the New York Rangers won in OT last night in Toronto, 5-4.

Manchester United won 2-0 yesterday.

ROH last night was another best of show.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Dublin Murders, Shameless and Ray Donovan.

USA takes on Russia today at the World Juniors. Russia destroyed Canada yesterday, 6-0.

the New Orleans Saints finish up the regular season today at Carolina. if the Saints win and the Packers AND 49ers lose, then the Saints will be the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs. if only one of them lose, the Saints will be the #2 seed in the playoffs. if they both win, the Saints will be the #3 seed in the playoffs and take on the Vikings.

the rain started last night during my 4 hours of something resembling sleep. it's supposed to rain all day long and eventually turn over to some snow. joy.

i hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning. mom has her final physical therapy session in the afternoon tomorrow.

a Sunday i would like to forget ever happened...

first off, i was never that much into the Cars when i was growing up, but i did love the work Ric Ocasek did as a producer for No Doubt, Weezer, Guided by Voices, etc. rest in peace, you have earned it.

the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday to the Rams, 27-9. the fucking refs blew another call against the Saints, this time costing them a defensive touchdown. and the league wants to say they don't have it out for the Saints. right. they also missed the play where a Rams player ripped off a Saints player's helmet and punched him in the face. Drew Brees fucked up his thumb on his throwing hand early in the game. that kind of threw everything off for the rest of the game. it looks like Drew is going to need surgery for his thumb and could miss 6 to 8 weeks. the Saints have the highest paid backup in the NFL. time to see if Teddy Bridgewater is worth it.

the New York Yankees lost to Toronto yesterday, 6-4. they are off tonight and start their final homestand of the season tomorrow night against the Angels. the magic number is down to 3, so i do believe they will clinch the division at home.

WWE Clash of Champions was pretty good last night.

Big Brother was good last night. Michie deserves a fucking award for pulling that lie off. and since i know Michie won the VETO, i'm pretty sure Cliff will be the one evicted from the final four.

Power was fucking awesome last night.

Succession was very good last night.

The Righteous Gemstones was hilarious last night.

Ballers was good last night.

Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

The Affair was excellent last night.

On Becoming A God in Central Florida was very funny last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Deuce. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i will probably watch some of the Monday night game between the Browns and Jets.

mom told me today she wants to get her blood work done tomorrow morning. so, i should probably be on here after we get back from breakfast.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so long to the easy rider

i found out after i got the blog done yesterday about the death of Peter Fonda. i'm happy that Jane said he went out laughing. we all deserve that i suppose. rest in peace.

my mother's stubbornness got the better of her once again last night. she was getting food out from the oven and of course, instead of asking me to help her, she spilled some of the contents onto the bottom of our new oven. i just looked at her and said i wonder if you'll actually learn to ask for help before you die? i believe we both know that answer is no.

the New York Yankees won last night against Cleveland, 3-2. they played a much better game than the night before. hopefully that continues this afternoon.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking hilarious last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was excellent last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW and ROH.

mom wanted breakfast from McDonald's this morning. she was hoping it would make her shit. so far, it's been a success.

if i have some time this afternoon, i think i'll try to get my ass in gear and get some poems out. i have a few places in mind.

i'll be on here in the morning tomorrow.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

another day where the sun decided to not come out and play

the fog that was here this morning basically never left. i don't think it got any warmer than 38 degrees today. of course, over the next couple days they are saying we could get up to 3 inches of rain. oh joy.

i did get those 7 poems typed up late last night. i really like a few of them. i guess i need to get the first submissions of the month ready to go out this weekend.

Monday Night Raw started off great last night. and then, it just went nowhere. kind of felt like it was idling the rest of the show. not good.

Celebrity Big Brother was crazy last night.

the New York Rangers had a lead 3 different times last night. so of course, they lost to the Kings 4-3 in OT.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Smackdown. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight on the road at Saint Louis. Dayton is now only a 1/2 game out of first place in the A10. and i'm hoping the game is good enough that i'm not tempted to switch over to the asshole giving a big speech tonight.

mom's doctor's appointment went well today. she got the doctor to put in the order for physical therapy to start work on her left shoulder. so, that should start on Thursday. after that, mom wanted to go to Red Lobster for lunch. her eyes were larger than her stomach i guess, because i know what she's having for dinner tonight.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i know it's supposed to be raining all day long, so i will probably be in pain.

16 years and this day still sucks...

16 years ago today my stepfather lost his battle with lung cancer. i don't think my mother has ever really gotten over it. and since she truly believes that was her soulmate, i doubt she ever will get over it. on top of all that, today was the NHL trade deadline day. and of course, the New York Rangers had to make the biggest move of the day.

the Rangers traded their captain, Ryan McDonagh and J.T. Miller to Tampa Bay or what i am calling them now, Rangers south for 3 players and 2 picks. both could end up being 1st round picks if Tampa wins the Stanley Cup this season or next. i do like what the Rangers got in the deal and they stuck to their word. they said they were going to blow it up and they basically have. all that is left now is to tank the season and hopefully get that #1 pick in the draft.

the Rangers lost in OT to Detroit last night, 3-2. Ryan Spooner, a player they got from Boston in the Rick Nash trade, had 2 assists in his first game with the team. the ceremony for Jean Ratelle before the game was excellent. and the surprise for Vic Hadfield did bring tears to my eyes.

WWE Elimination Chamber was pretty good last night. i didn't really have any problems with the winners, other than i wish Braun Strowman would have won over Roman Reigns. the Ronda Rousey contract signing was a bit awkward and then really awesome. i do believe if you had Paul Heyman do the talking for her, it would help her out greatly. Monday Night Raw tonight should be interesting.

Celebrity Big Brother went how i expected last night. Ross and Marissa were the final 2. i think everyone knew Ross played the better game, but the jury wanted a woman to win so Marissa won 6-3. Ross won America's favorite player as well. i was happy that Omarosa didn't win shit.

Our Cartoon President was fucking hilarious last night.

Homeland was really good last night.

The Chi was excellent last night.

Here and Now was great last night.

Divorce was really good last night.

Crashing was pretty funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking brilliant as always last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Voice. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i think i might have got 3 hours of sleep last night. i took a little nap while i was doing my laundry today. i now have to figure out what is for dinner.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

sometimes it takes the best in the world...

Sevilla for the most part really outplayed Manchester United today. but, they couldn't get past the best keeper in the world.
i believe fucking ridiculous comes to mind after that save. in the end, it was a 0-0 draw. the second leg will be in Manchester in 3 weeks. hopefully United puts them away and moves on.

team USA men's hockey team lost in a shootout last night against Czech Republic. the USA simply didn't create enough chances in the game, and didn't cash in when they did create either. you can't have a power play in OT and not get a shot on goal. that game kept me up all night. i know deep down they aren't as good as the Czech team but the game was there to be won. Czech Republic 3 USA 2.

the Dayton Flyers did not play well last night until mid way through the second half. either Saint Louis ran out of gas or Dayton fucking woke up. but, for the second time this season, Dayton has now won 2 games in a row. considering their next game is at Rhode Island, i hope they enjoy this victory. Dayton won 53-50.

Smackdown was okay last night, but could have been so much better.

205 Live was excellent once again last night.

Baskets was hilarious last night.

Hate Thy Neighbor showed just how much ignorance there is in this fucking country.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Celebrity Big Brother. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i believe the USA women's hockey team plays for the Gold medal late tonight against Canada. i do plan on watching that.

i did hear from Pyrokinection last night on the poems i sent earlier this week. they decided to pass on the 3 i sent.

i did write 10 new poems yesterday while in the waiting room at mom's physical therapy. i typed those up last night and i really like them. that puts me at 40 poems for the month. i might try to squeeze a little more out before the month ends.

after mom's therapy we went to The Rusty Bucket. it was much better than i was expecting.

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. we're supposed to get a ton of rain tomorrow, so i figure most of the day i'm going to be in fucking pain.

i should have just stayed in bed

i could tell after watching a few minutes of the Manchester United game this morning that United was going to be in trouble. Newcastle had a plan and they were sticking to it. sure enough, United wasn't clinical when they had the few chances they got today and they gave up a fucking set piece at the wrong fucking time. Newcastle won 1-0. i truly hope this isn't what this fucking day is going to be like.

i read a review of Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars that said the documentary was dull. i'm guessing the reviewer isn't a fan of the music or perhaps just has a shitty life to begin with. i found the documentary to be very good and heartbreaking at the same time. i truly understand now why Eric was attracted to blues music at such a young age. and i think he may have given me one of the greatest lines i have ever heard. i couldn't bring myself to suicide because i wouldn't be able to have my next drink. that's fucking genius. i highly recommend checking this out if you love music or just love a tragic story that has an unexpected ending.

ROH was excellent last night.

the Dayton Flyers played a pretty good first half yesterday and got a long range buzzer beater to go in to have the lead at halftime against VCU. they took all that momentum and managed to piss it away to fall behind by 17 points in the second half. they managed to dig themselves out of that hole with a furious run to send the game to overtime. but, since Dayton's coach doesn't believe in playing the bench, the guys ran out of fucking gas. it doesn't help when your senior leader is a fucking turnover waiting to happen. and when the coach basically says after the game that the reason only 7 players played for Dayton was a coaching decision because he thought the players on the court were doing a good enough job... it just makes you want to bang your head against a brick wall. my new conspiracy theory is the coach knows he can't coach these players so he's trying to get them to transfer or leave the school so he can bring in players that he wants to think he can coach. even a decent fucking coach would try to make something out of what he has. but Anthony Grant knows the school doesn't have the balls to fire an alumni after just 1 season. VCU won yesterday 88-84 in OT.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Celebrity Big Brother, Our Cartoon President, Homeland, The Chi, Here and Now, Crashing and Divorce.

we got some freezing rain last night. i nearly fell on the driveway this morning while going to get the paper. thankfully, i was able to get to the grass and get down there without falling.

USA Soccer elected a new president yesterday. i guess they decided that the status quo is good enough.

i think i have to take mom to have some testing done tomorrow for her disability claim. i believe that is in the morning. so, i'll probably be on here after that happens.

the New York Rangers play this afternoon up in Winnipeg. i'd love to see them build on their win against Calgary, but i'm not counting on it.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday is even better.

the muse walks right back in...

any longtime reader of this blog (my apologies) might remember that the last woman i fell in love with, i gave the moniker of 'the muse' to. yesterday was her birthday, so i decided to just send an email saying happy birthday, etc. etc. amazingly, and for the first time in probably 2 years, she responded to that email. that email exchange eventually evolved into a little chat last night via Google. and probably 10 minutes into that chat, she brought up some stupid shit i said in an argument we had over 2 years ago. i wonder how many times will i have to apologize for this? as you might imagine, i wrote 5 poems last night, most of which have the overall theme of never fall in love with a woman with a good memory. i typed the poems up this afternoon. they are good. those are my first poems of February. as for the muse, i doubt anything comes of our chat from yesterday. she likes to be way too secretive for my tastes. like if you tell me where you moved to i'm suddenly going to appear there. when the fuck do i travel? plus, she said she was dating, so hopefully that takes up most of her time. it would be even better if someone else stumbled into my life and became the new muse. that would solve a whole world of hurt.

Smackdown was pretty good last night.

205 Live was really good last night. the match between Roderick Strong and Hideo Itami was way better than i thought it was going to be.

Baskets was hilarious last night.

Hate Thy Neighbor was excellent last night. i do enjoy a show that points out while the children might be fuck ups, let's also look at their parents.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, The X-Files and Celebrity Big Brother. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at home against Duquesne. i'm not going to the game.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against Boston. considering how hot the Bruins have been, i doubt the Rangers have much of a chance.

we did get a few inches of snow overnight. the guy from across the street came over with his snowblower this morning and did the sidewalks and driveway. that saved mom some money. she's on the list with this local company to have her driveway and sidewalks done anytime there is more than 2 inches of snow. i would do it, but with my bad back and arthritis, that is a recipe for disaster.

i believe the Winter Olympics start late tonight. i'm not sure how much of the Winter Olympics i'm actually going to watch this year. with no NHL players playing hockey in the Olympics, i might just become a casual viewer if at all.

that's all for me kids.

when the dreams begin to bore you...

i wrote 5 poems last night. i typed them up shortly after and really think they are good. i'm hoping to have another little writing outburst this weekend. if that happens, i'll probably have another round of submissions ready in a week or so.

i was really sad to see Harry Dean Stanton died yesterday. he was absolutely one of my favorite humans.

the New York Yankees got some great pitching last night and defeated Baltimore 8-2. they will go for the series win this afternoon.

VICE was sort of heartbreaking last night. i enjoy pornography but child pornography absolutely disgusts me. i do believe that is one of the great things AI could do; bust these fuckers that enjoy child porn.

NJPW was excellent last night.

Treehouse Masters was really good last night.

Room 104 was really fucking weird last night.

Big Brother was mostly a clip show of the season last night. and they finally talked about Christmas having feelings for Paul.

Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Prince: Sign O' the Times.

i'll spend most of the day watching college football. i'm really hoping Ohio State gets its act together today and beats Army convincingly.

my sister is down here today i believe. not sure how long she's at the house as i think she has a baby shower or a wedding or some fucking thing to go to today.

it's supposed to feel like summer here this weekend. i believe today is supposed to get up to the low 80's. basically all that means to me is mom will feel like shit because of what the heat does with her Meniere's Disease.

i will probably be on here tomorrow before Manchester United takes on Everton.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

there are some losses you never come back from

just put my last load of laundry in the dryer. i'm tired as hell, but i know sleep is not an option. i have pills to go pick up and whatever else i need to do before tonight comes along.

i am still in shock/total pissed off mode from the New York Yankees loss last night. it's not often that a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the 9th with 1 out to go turns into a 7-5 loss to the fucking Red Sox. and probably since it was that team i have hated for most of my damn life that did it, it hurts even more. i'm tempted to not even fucking watch again this season. and if they finish just a game or so out of a playoff spot, i know exactly what fucking loss i will think of. fuck me. they play again tonight.

i did get the NFL game right last night, although starting the Jets defense did me no good.

Better Things was fucking hilarious last night. i really hope people are watching this show, it's really good.

i did watch some of the USA women's team defeat of Thailand 9-0 in a soccer friendly last night. it was the last match for Heather O'Reilly.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, NJPW, High Maintenance and Treehouse Masters.

i did write 3 poems last night while i was stewing in my anger. i typed those up this morning. i then went through my stack of unpublished work and i think i know where i'll be sending out the next 17 poems early next week.

i got Ben John Smith's latest chapbook in the mail today, Do You Know Who The Fuck I Think I Am?. it's fucking brilliant. here is a link to get a free pdf copy of it:

this was almost going to be a happy story

i was in a pretty good mood until i got home from the grocery store to watch the last few minutes of the Ohio State game. i could tell from listening on the radio, they weren't playing well today. i got to see it with my own eyes the last 7 minutes and they honestly looked like they were spent. that the emotions of senior day and the weight of the winning streak and trying to repeat as national champions finally broke them. hopefully they all understand that they have no chance of doing that now. all they need to focus on is winning next week against that shit school up north and then go collect all the free shit at your bowl game.

thankfully, i have a couple of victory beers coming to me.

but first, let's start back at yesterday.

the drive up to Columbus was crazy. nothing quite like driving 15 MPH over the speed limit and you're still getting passed by other vehicles. the traffic in Columbus is fucking nuts. i suppose since i have never lived in anywhere near a big town, i'm just not used to it. i'm a very aggressive driver and i expect everyone else to be so as well. i learned a long time ago he who hesitates, loses.

it was good to see my sister again. she got me a poetry book from South Africa and a bottle opener that's made from ivory i believe.

the game went completely different than i thought it would. the Blue Jackets got off to a great start, scoring on their first 2 shots. then, their goalie started to stand on his head:
that was a 4-0 win i never saw coming.

we went to Steak 'n Shake after the game and the service was fucking atrocious. but, on the plus side, i should have plenty to write about. the drive home took longer than it did to get up there. so many damn semis and of course, there was a fucking accident because of them. we got off way before we normally do and took the back roads home.

i watched Undateable about as soon as i walked in the door. it was brilliant as always. The Knick was awesome once again. and NJPW was a full hour of AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

so after about 3 hours of sleep, i was up to watch Manchester United. with all their injury concerns, i didn't expect much. Memphis scored early, which made me very happy. Watford drew even late on a penalty kick and thankfully, the same guy that scored on the pk scored an own goal for a smash and grab 2-1 win for United. that moves them to second in the league. imagine what this team could be if everyone would be healthy.

after that, some breakfast, some emails and then i was off to see the Dayton Flyers take on William & Mary. i knew this was going to be a tough game. i didn't know that the officials were also going to be playing against the Flyers today. and sadly, on some plays, it was beyond fucking obvious that someone knew that Dayton was a 8 1/2 point favorite and they were going to make sure they made some money today. Dayton fell behind by double figures in the first half. thankfully, they came out on fire in the second half. it came to the end and Dayton held on for a 69-66 win. i guess the officials got what they wanted.

we got some lunch after the game and then went to the grocery store. what was going to be let's just get the 5 things on our list turned into another shopping trip for next door. i quite frankly don't understand why mom jumps at the chance to help them. i understand it's her brother, but he also has 4 children that can go get them shit as well.

of course, this always turns into mom helping the people who gave birth to the cousin that molested me in my mind. and i always swallow my fucking pride and help. one day the world will not be so fucking lucky.

mom got tired as we were in the store and apparently didn't hear me say don't forget the coupons as she went and paid for their food without giving the cashier the coupons. and since it was already closed out by the time she finally did hear me, they couldn't do anything about it.

this always makes me chuckle as i have never been allowed to make any mistakes in my life. i always figured any mistake i made would cost me even more of my father's love. of course, my mother never did anything to change this thought in my head. so i brutalize myself anytime i make a mistake. that also includes getting poems rejected, fucking up dinner, not hanging a picture exactly level, etc. etc. it more or less has me at the point where i don't try anything because i don't want to fail. while i completely understand this will stop me from ever being great or reaching my potential, i still fall into the same fucking trap.

as you might imagine, the cauldron is boiling boys and girls. and look, here come the holidays...

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i've been typing this while watching/listening to the New York Rangers game. hopefully i will have highlights of a victory to share tomorrow, that is if the YouTube feature of this fucking blog is working correctly.

if you ever want to see what could have been in this blog if that YouTube feature was working correctly, check out my Google+ page.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. we might get some light snow tonight. i guess winter is coming and so is my never ending pain.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...
