happy fucking holidays

i was trying to get some sleep last night when a poem popped in my head. i wrote it out and thought, ok, now i can sleep. 10 minutes later i had another poem in my head. and this one was one of my rare long ones. it was loosely based on an experience i had in a bar when i was 23 years old. of course, i made the poem much better than the experience was. i typed both of those poems up this morning and really liked them. not sure what i'm going to do with them. i figure i will figure that out in 2016.

the last 12 hours or so have been absolute shit for two sports teams i live and die with. the New York Rangers got back Derek Stepan last night but they once again played like shit, losing to Winnipeg 5-2. they next play on Sunday at home against Washington, who is now 6 points ahead of them.

this morning, Manchester United lost to a team battling relegation, 2-1. totally fucking unacceptable. how the fuck LVG keeps his job is beyond me now. he looks completely disinterested while watching the game and the players reflect that. it's obvious a few of them care, but not nearly enough to make it matter. this is one of those days i'm happy i live over here. if i was over there in Manchester, i might be tempted to do something rather evil to help the squad. from afar, all i can do is bitch and moan and hope something good happens next. they play Chelsea the day after Christmas. oh joy.

thankfully, The Knick last night was excellent. i have no clue if that was the series finale or not, but it certainly felt like it. plenty of twists and turns and story lines wrapping up. plus, the last 10 minutes or so were amazing. if it was the last show of the series, what an excellent series it was.

not sure how my uncle is doing. he's clearly not drinking as much water or fluids as he should be. the excuse is he doesn't want to to go to the bathroom and have another accident. this reminds of what i have learned over the years; pride will kill you before cancer will. i've told my mother i could go over and spell it out clearly for him and just ask him if he wants to die or not. i'm having a hard time understanding why no one gets the urgency of the matter. but, if he dies before Christmas and this family suddenly hates the holiday forever, i suppose... i'll just keep that thought to myself.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH.

the Dayton Flyers play tonight at home against Furman. i'm expecting a huge bounce back game from them after stewing for a week after the last loss at home. hopefully i am correct.

i figure we'll probably listen to the New York Jets game on the way home from the basketball game. i know mom would love for the Jets to win tonight. they play the Cowboys.

i suppose i should go eat some lunch and get the rest of the anger out of me. i never try to go into a public situation angry as hell. if those two ever collide, someone will be getting a call for bail money.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. mine can only go up from here thankfully. of course, a Dayton loss tonight and this blog will be a hate filled shit fest tomorrow that mind end it all.

good times.

with a bit of snow flying in the air

mom had this great idea today of going to the grocery early in the afternoon. when we pulled up and she noticed there wasn't many parking spots open, i said i guess everyone else had the same thought as you. when we got into the store, she noticed all the kids and then suddenly realized that school was out for Christmas break and all the kids got dragged to the store today. i was busy noticing that since it got cold and there was some snow in the air, the ladies had their come fuck me boots on. that should bring a poem or two.

i have decided that i'm going to have fun with all these fuckers on Google+ that try to scam me. i figure my address is public. if you have the balls to come find me, then we'll have some fun. i'm sick and fucking tired of wasting my time online. the cunt today from Florida was the perfect example. she wants to come visit me on Dec. 23rd. i said you are more than welcome. i have no problem with any stranger knocking on the door. i learned a long time ago, i don't have to open it.

i've been a big fan of the NPR Tiny Desk Concert series. imagine my joy last night when i realized they put the audio from those on iTunes. needless to say i've been listening to all 11 i downloaded all day long.

The Big Bang Theory was excellent last night. i was laughing my ass off while recalling my first time. damn near 20 years ago now. fuck i feel old all of a sudden.

Life in Pieces was awesome as well. i also watched the Bear Grylls show with President Obama. i just don't understand how anyone can say climate change doesn't exist.

the New York Rangers hung tough for 50 minutes last night. unfortunately, they got their asses handed to them in the last 10 losing to Minnesota 5-2. they lost their backup goalie to an injury last night on top of things. they play tonight in Winnipeg, another tough place to play. they might be getting back some injured players tonight. they need them badly.

on the DVR tonight will be The Knick.

i am under the impression were going to be getting Christmas shit up finally tonight. i guess my sister texted my mom today and said she was coming early. i laughed and asked my mom if we were going to put up decorations or just let my sister do it and bitch us out the entire time. maybe that will get my mother going.

i did pick the NFL game right last night. thankfully, i missed most of the game between ketchup and mustard.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the morning tomorrow. hopefully i will be in a good mood.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. if you waited to do your shopping, enjoy the crowds.

it shouldn't be 60 degrees at 9 in the morning on December 12th

i think i tossed and turned all night long. it was very warm, and that was without the furnace on. and to think some fucks don't believe in global warming. like 60's in December is some new norm that we should embrace. it's damp enough that my arthritis is loading a gun and seeking a way out. if that is the new norm i'm supposed to get used to, i won't be around much longer. agony, while it is a productive writing tool, it's a shitty way to live a life.

i figured i would get this out of the way today as i am in a pretty shitty mood. and the last thing i want to do is inflict everyone else with that. i believe educated people call that maturing.

the New York Rangers played a game straight out of 1984 last night, losing to Edmonton 7-5. the Rangers came back to tie the game 3 different times only to piss away chance after chance. plus, what the fuck has happened to the best defense in the league? fuck me. they play tonight in Calgary. i will get to see the last couple periods after the basketball game. hopefully it will be a better outcome.

the ceremony for Glen Sather last night was good. it did bring back some memories.

Undateable was fucking hilarious last night. i really wish the show was 60 minutes each week. NJPW was excellent last night. you can never go wrong watching Shinsuke Nakamura wrestle. and The Knick was great. the ending was certainly one of those holy shit endings.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast last night. what an excellent interview with Finn Balor.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

Manchester United plays at Bournemouth today. considering United has 9 players out at the moment, i will be stunned if they get anything out of this game.

the Dayton Flyers play at home tonight against Chattanooga. i found this morning that Chattanooga will be without their best player tonight. hopefully that doesn't mean Dayton will think it will be an easy game. i am certainly looking forward to going to the game tonight.

the grocery store was rather interesting last night, mostly because of the black woman with kaleidoscope pants that walked in before us. mom made mention of her pants but all i could think about was an ass that i could probably get my entire head in. i imagine there will be poems about that as well.

the scar tissue in mt left foot is killing me today. so, i need to get in my chair and get a quick nap before the Manchester United game.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. if it's crazy fucking mild where you are, get out and enjoy it. if it actually feels like December where you are, i envy you. 13 days before Christmas and it feels like early May here. fucking ridiculous.

when no news is good news

thankfully, my eyes haven't got any worse from the last time i saw the eye doctor. that basically means i don't new glasses. also, the spot on my eye (the spot that kept me from getting any good sleep last night) was the same size as last year. so it might just be pigment after all.

after that good news, mom and i took some stuff back that we bought the other day and then went out to breakfast. it's always nice when you have an attractive waitress with a you sure you don't work in the phone sex industry kind of voice. needless to say, there will be some poems.

speaking of poems, i heard back from Raw Dog Press on my poetry submission from yesterday. they have passed on this batch but have asked me to send more in 2016.

and while we're on the topic of poems, here's the last Flashback Friday of 2015. back in 2007, Zygote in My Coffee put out a chapbook of mine online, The Ramblings of an Agitated Asshole. Brian even paid me for it, which is rare in this world. $15 for 8 poems. good times. here is a link to the poems: http://www.zygoteinmycoffee.com/90s/issue94jjchapbook.html
enjoy.

my mother found out today she has colitis. i guess since she has to really change her diet, mine will be changing as well. hopefully the pills they are putting her on will help her.

The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night. the preview for next week looks even better. Life in Pieces was great as well last night.

i did ok in fantasy football, although my opponents did better. i did pick the game right last night. i also watched a good portion of the Sacramento Kings last night. while i was happy they won, they certainly could be so much better. though, this play did get me out of my chair:

tonight on the DVR will be Undateable, NJPW and The Knick.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Edmonton. i'm really hoping they can get a win tonight as i really could use a victory beer. i will be recording the ceremony for Glen Sather that happens before the game. that should be a nice trip back into my hockey youth.

i did happen to watch that Daft Punk documentary last night on Showtime. i didn't learn anything new but it was a nice 90 minutes back into time for me.

i believe i'm going to go to the grocery store with mom later today. i figure i better go as the late Friday afternoon crowds usually piss her off someway. plus, she has a list from next door as well.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game. if they happen to lose again, it may be well after the game when i get back on here. but it will most likely be before i'm out of the house to go see the Dayton Flyers play.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. may the drinks be flowing, the food be cooked perfectly and remember, only fuck the ones that cough.

what a long ass day

so, i'm typing this from my new computer. i've been up for god knows how long. i didn't sleep well at all. i was hoping a little hard liquor was going to do the trick. sadly i was wrong. but before i get into my long ass Saturday, i need to wrap up my Friday.

Undateable was brilliant once again. NJPW was pretty good. and The Knick was spectacular.

i typed up the 5 poems i wrote the other day on the new computer. i wanted to make sure i had the printer set up correctly and wanted to get used to typing on a regular keyboard once again. shit, it feels weird using a mouse again. but, i won't miss the touch screen at all. as for the poems, i really like them. i have a monster batch of poems ready to unleash on the world. i plan on doing that sometime in the next week. a nice final blast for 2015.

i watched the Manchester United game this morning. i took a shower at halftime, hoping they would do something since i wasn't watching. of course, that didn't happen. yet another 0-0 draw. if i wasn't such a fucking fanatic, i would have given up on this team.
hopefully they know, they HAVE to win their next game in the Champions League.

after that. mom came home with some groceries. i helped put those away and then it was off to see the Dayton Flyers play. Dayton was facing one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the country and Dayton has struggled defending the 3. so i was fearing the worst today. thankfully, the boys got going and kept their foot on the neck of the opponent. Dayton beat North Florida 86-71. and for most of the game, it didn't feel that close.
they next play at Vanderbilt. that will be a tough one for sure.

after the game, we went straight to Best Buy to get the new computer. mom had them put the business version of Office on here. and for the first time, she had them put it in my name. so, i have a Microsoft account now. not that i'll use it or anything. the dude that helped us was pretty cool. that was shocking as most of the Geek Squad there absolutely fucking suck. after that, it was time to eat.

not sure why after not eating for over 8 hours i chose to go to Waffle House. i guess mom really wanted it and i am a glutton for punishment.

once we got home it was plenty of cleaning and then setting up the new computer. it's been a while since i have been on a Dell. but, i think this one should work pretty good.

i've been writing this while watching/listening to Saturday Night Live and now ROH. i believe i also recorded Austin City Limits tonight as well. i'll probably be up for a few more hours so i'll check those out.

i didn't bother to watch any of the college football games today. i figured it would take a miracle for Ohio State to make it back into the playoffs.

the New Orleans Saints play Carolina tomorrow/later today. i fear how bad the Saints are going to lose.

the New York Rangers will try to end another losing streak when they play Ottawa Sunday night. i'm hoping to be enjoying a victory beer later in the evening.

on the DVR Sunday night will be Homeland and The Affair.

sorry, i have to stop typing, Dalton Castle is on ROH right now.

not sure how my fantasy football teams are going to do tomorrow. if all 3 win, i believe i will be in the playoffs in all 3 leagues. i have never done that before, so i'm really hoping it happens.

i suppose i should actually go read the paper now, or maybe my mail. thankfully, all the Christmas gifts i ordered have made it here. now it's just the small shit i need to do and find the right obituary pages to wrap the gifts in.

i hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday. i hope your Sunday is even better. i will be back on here sometime Monday.

the sun is supposed to shine this weekend

i was amazed at how quickly mom and i made it to her appointment this morning. usually the highway is a fucking mess in the morning. i did bring along my pen and little notebook, just in case the words hit me in the waiting room. i ended up writing 5 poems this morning. i think i will wait to type them up. i'm hoping that i'll be using my new computer (hopefully soon) to type them up. as for my mother, her procedure went well. no cancer, nothing crazy. she has diverticulosis. she will be on a high fiber diet, probably for the rest of her life most likely. she will get the result from the biopsies in a few days i guess. she's pretty relieved that it wasn't cancer, especially with what is going on with her brother. after we left the hospital, we went to Perkins. she was hungry and wanted some real food.

i guess they didn't start to work on our new computer until this afternoon. the guy at Best Buy gave us the impression they were going to at least start the process last night. so i'll go ahead and assume we'll be picking up the computer after the basketball game tomorrow afternoon.

i watched most of that crazy ass football game last night. i can't believe Green Bay came back to win.

the New York Rangers were asleep for most of the game last night against Colorado. i guess it was too much to ask to have great efforts in back to back games. they lost 2-1 and have certainly hit the skids or, reality is finally catching up with them.

i didn't watch any of The Wiz. i figure i will watch that sometime over the holidays.

underneath dreary skies

today is one of those days where sports will determine everything in my life. if all 3 of my teams win, i'll be on top of the world. if they all lose, i will be the miserable prick that my family has had to deal with more times than they care for.

but first, the highs and lows from yesterday...

the New York Rangers lost in Boston 4-3 yesterday. worse, they lost Derek Stepan for god knows how long with broken ribs on a dirty fucking hit. kudos to Dylan McIlrath for beating the shit out of the fucker that did it. hopefully the boys will get back to winning today at home against Philadelphia.

the Dayton Flyers built a huge lead last night and apparently this will be what they do this season; pissed it all away. thankfully, they came back late once again and won 73-70 over a very good Monmouth team. though, i could really do without those douche bags at the end of Monmouth's bench. they got more air time last night than the game almost. as i told my mother, there's the future of America. Dayton will play in the finals of the tournament on Sunday against their most hated rival, Xavier. it will be over 1,000 days since they last played each other. Dayton will have to be at their very best to win.

The Knick was outstanding last night. what really blew me away was seeing Jim Norton in the episode. that was really entertaining.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Austin City Limits.

Ohio State plays that shit school from up north today. i'm really hoping Ohio State beats the shit out of them.

Manchester United takes on Leicester City today for top spot in the Premier League. since it's on the road, i don't have my hopes up for a United win. though, i'd be thrilled if they can fucking score.

both of those games and the New York Rangers game will be on at the same time today. joy.

i did listen to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast last night. if you are a fan of Lucha Libre, it is a must listen.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. hopefully it isn't fucking raining where you are. as always, enjoy the day and call if you need bail money.

a Friday for all the races

as you might imagine, i'm not a big fan of Black Friday

i managed to get 95% of my Christmas shopping done yesterday. i got 12 items on Amazon and with all my gift codes, it cost me around $30. other than a few things here and there, i'm all done. that's the way it should always be done. of course, i don't really care for shopping or people, so perhaps i'm a bit biased.

my Thanksgiving was okay. i didn't eat nearly as bad as i usually do. of course, when my mother told me she was going to bring me a plate from next door, i figured it would be turkey, stuffing, potatoes, etc... instead it was 3 different desserts. so much for hoping your son doesn't get diabetes like everyone else in the family. it wasn't until 8 at night that i had some turkey and the fixings. i often wonder what i did in a previous life that i am in this family.

my fantasy football teams did pretty well yesterday. i picked 2 of the 3 games correctly. i still can't believe Chicago won last night in Green Bay.

the Dayton Flyers had the lead for most of the game yesterday against Iowa. but, being a life long Dayton fan, i know how quickly those leads get pissed away at times. sure enough, Iowa was ahead late. thankfully, Dayton caught a second wind and stormed back to win 82-77. they will play Monmouth tonight as they upset Notre Dame last night. if Dayton can win tonight it will most likely set up a final against their hated rival Xavier. that would come on Sunday.

for some reason Life in Pieces didn't record last night. i found it online and watched it this morning. pretty funny as usual.

my sister and i were hoping to go see the new James Bond movie while she was down here this holiday. she won some free tickets to the movie. unfortunately, her work (she's on call) has fucked her over and my sports teams are playing at times that don't exactly fit her schedule. so, that's not going to happen. of course, i wasn't real sure i wanted to sit for 2 1/2 hours for a movie i probably won't like.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Knick (hopefully).

the New York Rangers play this afternoon in Boston. hopefully they can get back to winning.

i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow with a quick blog. my afternoon is crazy as Ohio State, New York Rangers and Manchester United will all be on at the same time tomorrow. i figure i'll be in my room as i will surely be going fucking crazy.

i hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. if you are going out shopping today, pick me up something nice. it doesn't have to be expensive. feel free to check out my Amazon.com Wish List for ideas. you can find a link to it on the right hand side of this blog.

until tomorrow you crazy kids. it's going to be raining all day here. so i figure i'll be in misery for most of the day.

this was almost going to be a happy story

i was in a pretty good mood until i got home from the grocery store to watch the last few minutes of the Ohio State game. i could tell from listening on the radio, they weren't playing well today. i got to see it with my own eyes the last 7 minutes and they honestly looked like they were spent. that the emotions of senior day and the weight of the winning streak and trying to repeat as national champions finally broke them. hopefully they all understand that they have no chance of doing that now. all they need to focus on is winning next week against that shit school up north and then go collect all the free shit at your bowl game.

thankfully, i have a couple of victory beers coming to me.

but first, let's start back at yesterday.

the drive up to Columbus was crazy. nothing quite like driving 15 MPH over the speed limit and you're still getting passed by other vehicles. the traffic in Columbus is fucking nuts. i suppose since i have never lived in anywhere near a big town, i'm just not used to it. i'm a very aggressive driver and i expect everyone else to be so as well. i learned a long time ago he who hesitates, loses.

it was good to see my sister again. she got me a poetry book from South Africa and a bottle opener that's made from ivory i believe.

the game went completely different than i thought it would. the Blue Jackets got off to a great start, scoring on their first 2 shots. then, their goalie started to stand on his head:
that was a 4-0 win i never saw coming.

we went to Steak 'n Shake after the game and the service was fucking atrocious. but, on the plus side, i should have plenty to write about. the drive home took longer than it did to get up there. so many damn semis and of course, there was a fucking accident because of them. we got off way before we normally do and took the back roads home.

i watched Undateable about as soon as i walked in the door. it was brilliant as always. The Knick was awesome once again. and NJPW was a full hour of AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

so after about 3 hours of sleep, i was up to watch Manchester United. with all their injury concerns, i didn't expect much. Memphis scored early, which made me very happy. Watford drew even late on a penalty kick and thankfully, the same guy that scored on the pk scored an own goal for a smash and grab 2-1 win for United. that moves them to second in the league. imagine what this team could be if everyone would be healthy.

after that, some breakfast, some emails and then i was off to see the Dayton Flyers take on William & Mary. i knew this was going to be a tough game. i didn't know that the officials were also going to be playing against the Flyers today. and sadly, on some plays, it was beyond fucking obvious that someone knew that Dayton was a 8 1/2 point favorite and they were going to make sure they made some money today. Dayton fell behind by double figures in the first half. thankfully, they came out on fire in the second half. it came to the end and Dayton held on for a 69-66 win. i guess the officials got what they wanted.

we got some lunch after the game and then went to the grocery store. what was going to be let's just get the 5 things on our list turned into another shopping trip for next door. i quite frankly don't understand why mom jumps at the chance to help them. i understand it's her brother, but he also has 4 children that can go get them shit as well.

of course, this always turns into mom helping the people who gave birth to the cousin that molested me in my mind. and i always swallow my fucking pride and help. one day the world will not be so fucking lucky.

mom got tired as we were in the store and apparently didn't hear me say don't forget the coupons as she went and paid for their food without giving the cashier the coupons. and since it was already closed out by the time she finally did hear me, they couldn't do anything about it.

this always makes me chuckle as i have never been allowed to make any mistakes in my life. i always figured any mistake i made would cost me even more of my father's love. of course, my mother never did anything to change this thought in my head. so i brutalize myself anytime i make a mistake. that also includes getting poems rejected, fucking up dinner, not hanging a picture exactly level, etc. etc. it more or less has me at the point where i don't try anything because i don't want to fail. while i completely understand this will stop me from ever being great or reaching my potential, i still fall into the same fucking trap.

as you might imagine, the cauldron is boiling boys and girls. and look, here come the holidays...

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i've been typing this while watching/listening to the New York Rangers game. hopefully i will have highlights of a victory to share tomorrow, that is if the YouTube feature of this fucking blog is working correctly.

if you ever want to see what could have been in this blog if that YouTube feature was working correctly, check out my Google+ page.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. we might get some light snow tonight. i guess winter is coming and so is my never ending pain.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and sometimes the sunshine looks like blood

i first heard about the terrorist attack yesterday in Paris at halftime of the Dayton basketball game. a handful of teenagers were taking the oath to join the Air Force. growing up near the military my entire life, i tend to have a cynical eye regarding most things. as i explained to my mother on the way home, any logical person knows the way to end terrorism is to end poverty and educate the world. but so many people have made so much money on the way things are, that will never happen. so, instead we have chosen to have an endless war. i'm hoping the family and friends i have in Paris weren't harmed yesterday. the only good thing about a senseless world is i'm a writer. if i was anything else, i would have checked out by now.

the Dayton Flyers started off slow last night. thankfully, their opponent was even colder to start the night. Dayton was up 11-0 before the other team even scored. a 30 point halftime lead eventually got down to 21 at some point in the second half. but, the old blue hairs have a new favorite son, Ryan Mikesell. he exploded in the second half to end up with 21 points. not bad for your first ever collegiate game. and to think, he was the after thought of all the new recruits. Dayton won 84-53. they next play on Tuesday against Alabama.

we got home after the game and was unaware that NBC changed the lineup for the evening. it did make sense though, given what happened in Paris. so, Undateable was a rerun. thankfully, they have never done an unfunny episode. NJPW was pretty good last night. The Knick was once again truly fucking brilliant.

and now some of this and that:

the USA men's team won 6-1 yesterday in their first World Cup Qualifying game. the fact that they gave up a goal is a little troubling. they were playing a team they should have killed. here's a few of the goals:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, ROH and the Marlon Brando special on Showtime. i was hoping to record the U2 concert tonight in Paris, but that has been cancelled.

Ohio State plays this afternoon at Illinois. hopefully this will be a game that is over by halftime.

the New York Rangers play tonight in Ottawa. hopefully they can keep the winning streak going.

my uncle found out yesterday that his cancer hasn't spread any further than they thought it did. but, he's now started the denial phase that he can't believe he has cancer and feels this good. thankfully, the doctor saw through that bullshit and wants to start chemo as soon as possible. my mother and i are the only ones in the family that have gone through this shit before, so we of course are the assholes of doom and gloom. as i told mom yesterday, i guess the family has to decide if they want him to see 2016 or die before Christmas. he keeps putting off treatment, there will be a funeral sooner than later.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. take a moment to say i love you to all your loved ones.

a little sunshine and some basketball

i'm sitting here in the kitchen watching these small birds swarm over the bird feeders and fight for a spot to eat. it's like watching basketball players try to get a rebound. if the dumb shits would take a 20 second flight they would be in the front yard with even more food to choose from. that's the beauty of having a brain the size of the tip of a pen.

the New York Rangers truly impressed me last night. my favorite troll was at it again, The King was standing on his head and the Rangers came away with a 6-3 win over one of the hottest teams in the NHL. that's 7 wins in a row.

The Big Bang Theory was pretty fucking funny last night. if i ever had a woman show up at my door that looked that good and was smart, i'd probably die right on the spot. Life in Pieces was hilarious. that show is perfectly cast.

i did watch some of the football game last night. mom was not happy the Jets lost. neither was i, considering i picked them to win the game. only one of my opponents had players going last night in fantasy football. hopefully i will have a good weekend.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

the Dayton Flyers start their season tonight at home against Southeast Missouri State. i have some pretty high expectations this season for Dayton. i would love to see them make the tournament again as they haven't made it 3 seasons in a row since the 1960's. considering they are the favorites to win the A-10 this season, they have a great chance to do it.

on the DVR tonight while i'm at the basketball game will be Undateable, NJPW, The Knick and the USA men's soccer team first game in World Cup Qualifying. considering who they are playing tonight, if they lose i will go fucking nuts.

now, a little Flashback Friday poetry action. my poems "borrowed time" and "great expectations" were published by Underground Voices back in September of 2012. i thought both poems kind of fit today pretty damn good. you can find them by going here:
http://www.undergroundvoices.com/UVCampbellJJSEPTEMBER2012.htm

i will be on here tomorrow probably in the morning again as Ohio State plays tomorrow at noon.

i hope everyone has a wonderful start to the weekend. have a great Friday night. do something amazing and keep it a secret.

when life reaches a breaking point...

so when i last left you, i was on a manic search for a haircut. after i got out of the shower yesterday, i knew there was no chance i could make it to my barber. my mom said she would call the place she goes to and get me in there. i haven't had my hair cut by a woman in something like 16 years. so we went to the place (not sure why mom decided to come along) and this stunning woman was going to be the one to cut my hair. as soon as i saw her, i had just about every dirty movie i had ever seen flash before my eyes. Kelly had a beautiful face, thick body, just about everything my dream woman has. we started chit chatting and then she says something about how her husband would just love my goatee. the first thing i thought in my head is this kind of shit only happens to me. i didn't say much for the rest of the haircut, though i didn't mind the number of times she was rubbing my head to get the hair to go the way she wanted it to. there will be some dirty poems down the line about this experience for sure.

more on public nightmares in a moment...

Undateable last night was excellent.

NJPW was the match between Tanahashi and Okada from Wrestle Kingdom 9. that was probably one of the five best matches of 2015.

The Knick was spectacular last night. if you're not watching this show, you are truly missing out on one of the better shows around.

the New York Rangers won last night 2-1 in Colorado. they started off slow but once they got their legs, they started to control the game. once they got the lead, The King took over. they play again tonight in Arizona.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

Manchester United broke through in the second half this morning to beat West Brom 2-0. 2 goals in a game, holy fucking shit. that was the 5th clean sheet in a row for United. a very nice win to take them into the international break.

after the game, mom and i went to the Dayton Flyers exhibition game. it was a pretty chippy game at times. but, Dayton was playing Saginaw Valley State, so it wouldn't stay a game for long. Dayton has a ton of freshmen this season. thankfully, most of them have a clue how to play the game. that should make it interesting for much of the season. Dayton won 96-69.

now the fun part. for some fucking reason, pissing in public has become a problem for me. not sure if it is nerves. too much pubic hair, fat, unknown health ailment or i have simply become one of those functioning insane people. sadly, i know where i'm putting my money. needless to say, i will be doing laundry tonight.

Ohio State plays against Minnesota tonight. Cardale Jones will be at QB. hopefully he plays his best game of the season and gets it over with quickly.

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live, Austin City Limits and ROH. i will be flipping between hockey, Ohio State and the Alabama vs. LSU game for most of the evening. and folding clothes and knocking shit out of my underwear.

as i told my mother, when my father told me he married her because he needed someone to knock the shit out of his underwear, i knew i came from the bottom of the gene pool.

i will be on here tomorrow morning, probably after some manscaping and hopefully way too many victory beers.

i'm sure someone is cringing as they now have a visual they just can't shake. if anyone female is smiling, please email me. thanks.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday night. call if you need bail money.

the joys of nagging pain

we had a cold front come through here last night. it rained all damn night. i wasn't able to ever truly get comfortable, so i didn't sleep worth a shit. and i had all this shit i wanted to get done today, after the people coming to clean our windows and gutters left. of course, this being my life, they haven't arrived yet. i'd love to get a haircut as these damn bangs are on my final nerve now. it's starting to look like that's going to happen tomorrow.

i'm in a very irritable cranky fucking mood right now. on top of everything, my stomach was churning most of the morning and i decided today was the not day i wanted to spend on the toilet. the problem being after i take 2 pills to stop me up and take away the pain, my next shit tomorrow will be horrific. now i think Monday's doctor's appointment is starting to get to me.

all the guys i had playing last night in fantasy football did pretty good. i picked the game right as well.

The Big Bang Theory was really good last night. i thought it was the best episode of the season so far. Life in Pieces was hilarious once again.

i'm going the lazy route once again for Flashback Friday. here is an old video of mine:
it kind of fits my day so far.

the New York Rangers start a quick 2 game road trip tonight in Colorado.  hopefully they will get a win.

just heard that the people coming to clean the windows and gutters aren't coming today now. how i love sitting around all day for nothing. and people wonder why i always argued that at least junkies had ambition.

i will be on here tomorrow after the Dayton Flyers exhibition game. i'm going to that after watching the Manchester United game tomorrow morning. so i will try to squeeze in a blog when i get home, before the Rangers and Ohio State play. the joys of being a sports fan around this time of year. there's always something.

i did get a few laughs in today listening to Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast as well as his newest podcast of his evening show on Sirius/XM.
the wrestling podcast with Xavier Woods is excellent. Sam also did a special one regarding the Seth Rollins injury. we both have the same idea on what they should do for Survivor Series. both of these wrestling podcasts can be found on iTunes, Stitcher, notsam.com and on the right hand side of this blog.

the Sam Roberts' Show on Sirius/XM podcast can be found at iTunes, Soundcloud and by going here: http://www.notsam.com/sam-roberts-show-on-siriusxm/
the sex dream podcast will have you laughing your ass off.

that's all for me today kids. i'm going to take a shower and go find someplace to cut my fucking hair. or, i just shave it all off myself and start over. i suppose i could tell my uncle i'm beating him to the punch for what he'll look like with chemo.

somehow cancer always finds a way to enter the damn conversation. fuck me.
