i got up at 5:30 this morning for some fucking reason. 3 hours of fucking sleep. it feels like i have been in and out of a coma all damn day. joy. i did make it to the bank to make a deposit today.
the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday at home to the Rams, 21-14. that pretty much eliminates them from making the playoffs this year.
Somebody Somewhere was really good last night. next week is the series finale.
both episodes of The Agency last night were excellent.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Voice, Monday Night Raw and What We Do in the Shadows.
the New York Rangers play tonight at home against the New Jersey Devils.
i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between Browns and Broncos.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
so, i had wanted to get this blog done before Manchester United played this morning. in hindsight, i really wish i would have. unfortunately, i woke up a little later than i wanted and decided, let me actually enjoy breakfast instead of rushing through it. United pissed away chance after chance in the first half. thanks to a shitty penalty call in the second half, they lost to West Ham, 2-1. hard to blame this one on ETH, but i'm sure some will. not the way i wanted to start my Sunday.
the Yankees lost Game 2 last night of the World Series, 4-2, to the Dodgers. they are now down 2-0 in the series. the next 3 games are at Yankee Stadium. if the Yankees don't win Game 3, it will be more than likely a sweep.
Ohio State played like shit yesterday yet managed to beat Nebraska, 21-17. they play at Penn State next week.
the New York Rangers won last night at home over Anaheim, 2-1.
i did watch some college football yesterday:
AEW Collision was ok last night.
Austin City Limits was excellent last night.
El Clasico yesterday was nuts. Barcelona destroyed Real Madrid, 4-0, in Madrid.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be The Penguin, Somebody Somewhere and Last Week Tonight.
i will be watching NXT Halloween Havoc tonight on Peacock.
the New Orleans Saints play today at the Chargers.
the USWNT takes on Iceland today in another friendly.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
best of luck to everyone gambling today.
i should be on here tomorrow before Game 3 of the World Series.
until then kids...

i guess the forecast changed overnight. i went to sleep thinking we were going to get a dusting at best of snow. by the time i woke up, the forecast was for 1 to 2 inches. at least i got the morning paper before the snow started to stick. and my sister got back home before any of this hit up where she lives.
Manchester United defeated West Ham yesterday, 1-0. Marcus Rashford scored in the 93rd minute to win the game. that was like the old days.
the Dayton Flyers couldn't put the ball in the ocean last night, let alone a basketball hoop. they shot horribly last night and played down to their competition. these are the nights where their youth kills them. George Mason defeated Dayton, 50-49.
i wasn't happy when the New York Rangers got down 3-1 last night to the Coyotes. thankfully, the Rangers scored the next 6 goals, winning the game 7-3.
both NFL playoff games last night game down to last second field goals. and just like that, both number 1 seeds were eliminated. the Bengals defeated the Titans, 19-16. the 49ers beat the Packers, 13-10. today, the Rams play at Tampa Bay and the Bills travel to the Chiefs. hopefully, both games today are good as well.
Saturday Night Live was hilarious last night.
Austin City Limits had Duran Duran on last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Power Book II: Ghost, Billions, Euphoria, The Righteous Gemstones and Somebody Somewhere.
we're supposed to get some more snow tomorrow morning i think. since i have no place to be anytime soon, i don't plan on shoveling until i have to.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hope your Sunday will be even better.
until tomorrow kids...

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
well, not literally as it was still fucking dark when i woke up. but, at least the sun is out now and it's not fucking raining. maybe i'll actually have a day without much pain. i know, i'm laughing as well.
the New York Yankees got some great pitching (FINALLY) from Tanaka and won the game last night in 10 innings, 2-1. that's a game they desperately needed to win. Gardner hit a big home run to send the game into extra innings. hopefully they can actually win 2 games in a row this afternoon.
the 2 episodes of NJPW were excellent last night. i can't wait to see next week's episode.
Real Time with Bill Maher was great last night.
i wasn't exactly thrilled with what the New York Rangers did last night in the first round of the NHL draft. i thought they reached for both picks. but, it at least sounds like they have a fucking plan, so i'm going to be patient enough to let it play out before i bitch and complain about it.
they don't have a pick until the 4th round today, so i'll probably just check the computer off and on to see who they take.
VICE was very good last night. i did have a good laugh when the Israeli cyber security person was shocked that one of the producers knew of one of Israel's secret military cyber organizations. and the part about Japan building up their weapons again was very interesting. i'm sure most people didn't remember that if Japan goes to war, the USA has to go with it.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH.
the Confederations Cup matches today should be rather interesting. Portugal vs. New Zealand and Mexico vs. Russia.
i know i have to go to the drugstore to return an item and find 3 other things for mom today. i'll probably squeeze that in between the NHL draft, soccer, the dishes, more laundry and making meatloaf.
i hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday. call if you need bail money.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
when i saw the Russian prime minister had some tough talk this morning after the USA bombed Syria last night, it all hit me. i think i have it all figured out now. Putin does everything possible to get an ego maniac that doesn't know his face from his asshole elected president of this country. shockingly, it happens. then, Putin tells Assad it's ok to gas his own people, knowing that the wanna be dictator Trump will take the bait. sure enough. plus, never forget this old tweet:
so, now Russia sees our response to Syria as aggression and it needs to be responded to. and there we have Putin's master plan. sucker the USA into a fucking war against Russia so Russia can finally eliminate it's greatest rival and be the only superpower on this planet. hopefully that sheds a little light for you dumb fucks out there that can't see what all the fuss is about with all the contact team asshole had with Russia over the last 2 years.
now, i'm sure Trump thinks he can simply pay his way out of this like he does every other time he fucks up, but i doubt that's possible. morally, yes, something had to be done. in reality, is there a leader to replace Assad? is there a way for Sunni and Shia and Christians to get along? better yet, is there a way to simply eliminate organized religion period? and the minute that jackass commits troops on the ground to Syria, hopefully it means he will only be in office for one term. god knows, if the USA gets really involved in that, there will be no turning back.
and to think that dumb fuck has the nuclear codes right at the tip of his small fingers. and better yet, i just saw where Syria expected the missiles and moved everything and is already using the base again for bombing raids. so much for sending that tough message.
of course, as any genus knows, follow the money. the company that makes the missiles saw their stock fly through the roof today is now worth $5 BILLION more after the bombing. anyone want to guess or speculate which rich people owned some of that stock?
that ends the political portion of today's blog. now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
-------
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
The Big Bang Theory was hilarious last night.
Life in Pieces was great right up until some asshole came on the television to tell us why 59 Tomahawk missiles were fired into Syria. thankfully, i was able to see the ending on CBS.com this afternoon.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher.
the New York Yankees start a series tonight at Baltimore. i get a feeling these games will feel like softball games. first one to 10 runs will win.
i think my sister will be down here at some point over the weekend. part of me thinks she's coming down because she doesn't believe what's going on with mom and has to see it for herself. of course, i'm a cynical asshole as well.
i saw that the point guard that Dayton recruited from Minnesota, who ended up winning Mr. Basketball in the state, has asked for his release and wants to open back up his recruiting. he said Dayton will still be an option, which i'm going to take as bullshit more than anything. i'll give his chances of actually staying with Dayton somewhere less than 1%. so, here's the first real challenge for Anthony Grant. i know he started his face to face meetings with the recruits today. i'm sure that's why this video just happened to come out today as well.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. my thoughts are with everyone in Sweden. i would say you are in my prayers, but i'm old enough to know that shit doesn't work.
of course, i did see Tim Tebow hit a home run in his first minor league at bat yesterday. the guy he hit it off of was draft pick number 666 in 2015. that's some spooky shit right there.
but, yeah, to the lovely people of Stockholm, be safe.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i'm sitting here in the kitchen watching these small birds swarm over the bird feeders and fight for a spot to eat. it's like watching basketball players try to get a rebound. if the dumb shits would take a 20 second flight they would be in the front yard with even more food to choose from. that's the beauty of having a brain the size of the tip of a pen.
the New York Rangers truly impressed me last night. my favorite troll was at it again, The King was standing on his head and the Rangers came away with a 6-3 win over one of the hottest teams in the NHL. that's 7 wins in a row.
The Big Bang Theory was pretty fucking funny last night. if i ever had a woman show up at my door that looked that good and was smart, i'd probably die right on the spot. Life in Pieces was hilarious. that show is perfectly cast.
i did watch some of the football game last night. mom was not happy the Jets lost. neither was i, considering i picked them to win the game. only one of my opponents had players going last night in fantasy football. hopefully i will have a good weekend.
enjoy some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
the Dayton Flyers start their season tonight at home against Southeast Missouri State. i have some pretty high expectations this season for Dayton. i would love to see them make the tournament again as they haven't made it 3 seasons in a row since the 1960's. considering they are the favorites to win the A-10 this season, they have a great chance to do it.
on the DVR tonight while i'm at the basketball game will be Undateable, NJPW, The Knick and the USA men's soccer team first game in World Cup Qualifying. considering who they are playing tonight, if they lose i will go fucking nuts.
now, a little Flashback Friday poetry action. my poems "borrowed time" and "great expectations" were published by Underground Voices back in September of 2012. i thought both poems kind of fit today pretty damn good. you can find them by going here: http://www.undergroundvoices.com/UVCampbellJJSEPTEMBER2012.htm
i will be on here tomorrow probably in the morning again as Ohio State plays tomorrow at noon.
i hope everyone has a wonderful start to the weekend. have a great Friday night. do something amazing and keep it a secret.
