a night of storms...

we had some thunderstorms last night, a couple tornado warnings, plenty of fucking wind, but no damage that i could see this morning. of course, i slept like shit, as usual. mom wanted me to wake her up this morning at 9 so she could call her accountant and tell him she wouldn't be coming in today. i guess i will bring him the taxes when she is done with everything. if my mother has mastered one thing in her life... procrastination.

the Yankees lost last night at home to Arizona, 4-3. they will hopefully avoid the sweep tonight.

the New York Rangers won last night at home against Minnesota, 5-4, in OT.

AEW Dynamite was good last night.

Abbott Elementary was excellent last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

here are your videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

i was going to do my laundry today but my back told me to go fuck myself. so, i guess i will try tomorrow.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

i have even less of a clue what i am doing for dinner tonight.

before another round of storms...

i was saddened last night when i saw that Val Kilmer had died. one of those sneaky actors that could do anything and was in so many of my favorite movies.

as for this day of National Poetry Month:

the Yankees lost last night at home to Arizona, 7-5. hopefully, they will win tonight.

NXT was very good last night.

St. Denis Medical was pretty funny last night.

Dark Side of the Ring was crazy last night.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Minnesota.

the grocery shopping went well today. i saved over $50 on what i got. that always makes mom happy. the pharmacy has my new insurance in the system, so i'm hoping that will help with the prices.

i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to the accountant to get the taxes done.

i'm hoping the weather won't be too bad tonight.

here we go...

i am still buzzing from the good news i got last night. my ego always has felt like i deserve more recognition for my poetry. i tend to laugh at that for the most part, until someone actually does give me that recognition. i have been at this for over 30 years since i first got published. no wonder i feel like i am getting close to the end...

the Yankees won last night at Oakland, 4-2, in 10 innings. the magic number to win the AL East is now 5.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was ok last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

book review: Brain Lace by Karina Bush

anyone that knows me knows how much i admire the pure talent of Karina Bush. her poetry is a breath of fresh air, if you're into having your mind twisted and every raw nerve in your body vibrate with a sensation rarely felt or known.

Brain Lace is a book that dives into the meta of love, lust, technology, all wrapped into the dystopian world we have devolved into. the stand out poems to me were "Sutra Of The Computer Body", "Mine" and "Cloud IX".

Karina has a way of writing that makes me smack myself in the face and wonder why i never put those words together in that order. just as her previous books have done, Brace Lace is another book that you can read in one sitting and feel completely different when you are finished.

i urge everyone to get this book, it's worth every second of your time.

overtime magic

there are times that the New York Rangers frustrate the living shit out of me. they have a tendency to sit back and think their talent will get everything done for them. thankfully, something clicked in the second period last night and they started to actually attempt to outwork Montreal. thank god they found it before it was too late.
a 3-2 win in Game 5 to go up in the series 3-2. Game 6 is Saturday night at MSG. god willing, the boys won't have to go back to Montreal for a Game 7.

after the game mom asked me what i wanted her to do when i have my heart attack from how i watch these games. i told her, let me die. i've been asking for it for 41 years now. if i can die after a victory, at least i'll be as happy as i can fucking get.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

Lip Sync Battle was great last night. Justin Verlander is a very lucky man.

while the Rangers were frustrating me last night, i thought about watching some playoff basketball. i noticed Cleveland was trailing by a ton at halftime last night. and then i saw they were only down by a couple. thankfully, i got to see some of what LeBron did last night. it's hard to imagine just how much people take him for granted.

Fuck, That's Delicious 4/20 Special was fucking hilarious last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher.

the New York Yankees start a series tonight in Pittsburgh. hopefully they can keep on winning.

i went to the grocery store earlier today. i was pretty happy that i was able to get everything that was on the list and keep it under $100.

i also did a little poetry work today. i think i know where my next round of submissions are going. that might be what i do this weekend. or maybe late tonight... whenever that wild hair gets up my ass...

it's hard to believe it's been one year since Prince died. of course, i've heard there's a ton of unreleased music that will be coming out for years to come. i suppose that depends on the family and the court system. i've spent a good portion of today just listening to old songs of his. there truly will never be another one.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i'm going to try to get it done in the morning, as i believe the cleaning people will be coming in the afternoon. i find it funny that mom is bitching about money yet still pays for people to come and clean the house. tales for another day...

sitting down with a glass of something strong

when i got ready to go to the basketball game this morning, i was feeling pretty good. mom and i got to the game in plenty of time, so we got a really good parking spot. and for once, i actually remembered my sunglasses as the sun was really shining today. when i saw Kendall Pollard actually dressed and taking shots, i felt like today was going to be a really good day. and then i noticed the clock above one of the big screens in the arena. it was working again. it had been out for weeks. i jokingly said to my mother, oh shit, they fixed the clock, Dayton is going to lose today. this is the part of the story where i apologize for always being right. Dayton got punched in the face by a depleted Rhode Island team and never really fucking responded. sure, they made a desperate run in the second half and actually showed signs of urgency, but they never had the lead once in the entire fucking game. AT HOME. how the fuck does that happen? sure, the officials stunk and blew about 8 moving screens on Rhode Island that were never called... at least the Flyers coach apologized to the fans after the game. that's two losses at home in a row in front of sell out crowds. with the 75-66 loss, they more or less pissed away any chance of winning the regular season title and are quickly playing themselves out of the NCAA tournament.

i told mom i didn't want to go out to eat after the game. the mood i was in was not a good one. i told her if someone said the right words i would just go ahead and tell her to call the attorney now, because i'm going to need him. she knew i wasn't kidding. we got some food at a fast food place and went home.

we were done eating in time to watch the New York Rangers play at Dallas. the Rangers frustrate the living shit out of me by not shooting the puck enough. you can't have 5 fucks on the ice that all want to pass. once again, they were badly out shot. once again, The King saved the day. the Rangers won a wild game 3-2 with a late goal in the 3rd period from Kevin Klein. apparently he should have broken his thumb earlier in the year as that is his 4th goal i believe since the thumb was broken. i really hope the Rangers do something good at the trade deadline. nearly all the teams they could end up facing in the playoffs have already made moves to make themselves better. the Rangers don't play again until after the trade deadline on Monday.

in a little poetry news, i heard back from Misty at Pink Litter on my poetry submission from last December. she decided to pass on the poems i sent and challenged me to send her a poem i don't want anyone to see. too bad i'm not a young punk at this and need the motivation.

Treehouse Masters was pretty good last night. it was kind of interesting to see how someone else goes about building a treehouse.

VICE was really good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Austin City Limits and ROH.

i'm not sure what i'm going to do with the rest of the evening. i probably should do some writing, but i won't. i should do some angry art, but i won't. i'll probably just end up watching some hockey and maybe take a nap. it seems i drink liquor for the same reason i used to smoke pot in high school. to sleep better. maybe one of these days it will actually work.

i did listen to another Sam Roberts podcast this morning. this was from his show on SiriusXM.
i highly recommend you listen to it. go to notsam.com for more info.

i will be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game with Arsenal. i really hope i'm in a better mood than i am right now.

let the warming begin

so after watching The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution last night, i passed my mother in the hallway, who was watching the same program. the first thing she said to me is that sometimes, it's so damn embarrassing to be white. i told her the first thing i thought after watching the documentary was i wondered what this world would be like if J. Edgar Hoover next existed in the first place. i highly recommend that every soul on earth watches this documentary. what i would really love to see is it become a teaching tool in every school in this country. it's appalling to think how much we don't teach people because the powers that be are either embarrassed or feel guilty because of the past. no wonder this fucking country repeats so many damn mistakes.

The Muppets were pretty funny last night. Total Divas was pretty damn funny as well.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Lucha Underground. i will also be watching NXT on WWE Network at some point tonight.

up first tonight will be the Dayton Flyers playing at Saint Joe's. Dayton hasn't won there since 2000. but a victory tonight would give Dayton the inside track to the regular season A10 title. a loss would put three teams in first place; Dayton, Saint Joe's and VCU. hopefully the Flyers can keep the winning going.

right after that i'll be flipping over to watch the New York Rangers take on Chicago at MSG. hopefully the Rangers can keep winning at home. i believe the captain will be back tonight, so that should help their defense.

hopefully i am enjoying a few victory beers tonight.

i had a little conversation with Janne Karlsson yesterday and the genius sent me a little artwork today from it.

i did a little poetry work today and have some submissions ready to go on Friday.

the weather is supposed to start getting warmer here. the driveway was mostly melted when i went to get the trash cans today. it's supposed to be in the 50's by the weekend. that basically means i'll be feeding the birds while standing in mud. good times.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays in the Europa League. i'm not expecting much after the Wayne Rooney injury news today. i'm not sure if this season could get any worse.

i hope this finds everyone drunk and realizing that a vote for the lesser of two evils is still a vote for evil.

these old bones aren't made for the winter

i think we're definitely going to have to get new windows for the house before too long. we have the furnace set at 72. there were parts of the house, especially the kitchen, that was down to 51 by this morning. the kitchen has 8 windows and i think they all are over 20 years old. good times. i didn't sleep well at all last night. i think i was up every two hours or so. not fun. i haven't even been outside yet to get the trash cans, paper or the mail. i was hoping to take a nap before i did that but now i know i need to do it after i get this done.

when i heard that Dayton was going to play last night without their leading scorer, Charles Cooke (strained oblique muscle), i was a bit concerned. thankfully, Scoochie finally started to make some shots and Dayton was only down by 3 at halftime. Davidson finally started to miss and Dayton caught fire from 3 on a 19-0 run in the second half that should have sealed the game. of course, human nature set in and Dayton allowed Davidson back in the game. Dayton made just enough free throws down the stretch to hang on, 80-74. they next play at home on Friday against George Washington.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of American Horror Story: Hotel. i am really looking forward to this episode tonight.

i'll also be watching NXT tonight on WWE Network.

i did a little poetry work this afternoon. i think i have 14 poems or so ready to send out tomorrow. so it looks like it will be a morning of typing.

this was almost going to be a happy story

i was in a pretty good mood until i got home from the grocery store to watch the last few minutes of the Ohio State game. i could tell from listening on the radio, they weren't playing well today. i got to see it with my own eyes the last 7 minutes and they honestly looked like they were spent. that the emotions of senior day and the weight of the winning streak and trying to repeat as national champions finally broke them. hopefully they all understand that they have no chance of doing that now. all they need to focus on is winning next week against that shit school up north and then go collect all the free shit at your bowl game.

thankfully, i have a couple of victory beers coming to me.

but first, let's start back at yesterday.

the drive up to Columbus was crazy. nothing quite like driving 15 MPH over the speed limit and you're still getting passed by other vehicles. the traffic in Columbus is fucking nuts. i suppose since i have never lived in anywhere near a big town, i'm just not used to it. i'm a very aggressive driver and i expect everyone else to be so as well. i learned a long time ago he who hesitates, loses.

it was good to see my sister again. she got me a poetry book from South Africa and a bottle opener that's made from ivory i believe.

the game went completely different than i thought it would. the Blue Jackets got off to a great start, scoring on their first 2 shots. then, their goalie started to stand on his head:
that was a 4-0 win i never saw coming.

we went to Steak 'n Shake after the game and the service was fucking atrocious. but, on the plus side, i should have plenty to write about. the drive home took longer than it did to get up there. so many damn semis and of course, there was a fucking accident because of them. we got off way before we normally do and took the back roads home.

i watched Undateable about as soon as i walked in the door. it was brilliant as always. The Knick was awesome once again. and NJPW was a full hour of AJ Styles vs. Tanahashi.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

so after about 3 hours of sleep, i was up to watch Manchester United. with all their injury concerns, i didn't expect much. Memphis scored early, which made me very happy. Watford drew even late on a penalty kick and thankfully, the same guy that scored on the pk scored an own goal for a smash and grab 2-1 win for United. that moves them to second in the league. imagine what this team could be if everyone would be healthy.

after that, some breakfast, some emails and then i was off to see the Dayton Flyers take on William & Mary. i knew this was going to be a tough game. i didn't know that the officials were also going to be playing against the Flyers today. and sadly, on some plays, it was beyond fucking obvious that someone knew that Dayton was a 8 1/2 point favorite and they were going to make sure they made some money today. Dayton fell behind by double figures in the first half. thankfully, they came out on fire in the second half. it came to the end and Dayton held on for a 69-66 win. i guess the officials got what they wanted.

we got some lunch after the game and then went to the grocery store. what was going to be let's just get the 5 things on our list turned into another shopping trip for next door. i quite frankly don't understand why mom jumps at the chance to help them. i understand it's her brother, but he also has 4 children that can go get them shit as well.

of course, this always turns into mom helping the people who gave birth to the cousin that molested me in my mind. and i always swallow my fucking pride and help. one day the world will not be so fucking lucky.

mom got tired as we were in the store and apparently didn't hear me say don't forget the coupons as she went and paid for their food without giving the cashier the coupons. and since it was already closed out by the time she finally did hear me, they couldn't do anything about it.

this always makes me chuckle as i have never been allowed to make any mistakes in my life. i always figured any mistake i made would cost me even more of my father's love. of course, my mother never did anything to change this thought in my head. so i brutalize myself anytime i make a mistake. that also includes getting poems rejected, fucking up dinner, not hanging a picture exactly level, etc. etc. it more or less has me at the point where i don't try anything because i don't want to fail. while i completely understand this will stop me from ever being great or reaching my potential, i still fall into the same fucking trap.

as you might imagine, the cauldron is boiling boys and girls. and look, here come the holidays...

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.

i've been typing this while watching/listening to the New York Rangers game. hopefully i will have highlights of a victory to share tomorrow, that is if the YouTube feature of this fucking blog is working correctly.

if you ever want to see what could have been in this blog if that YouTube feature was working correctly, check out my Google+ page.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. we might get some light snow tonight. i guess winter is coming and so is my never ending pain.

the rain had to end sometime...

i could hear the rain last night over the fan i have in my room. and the fan is usually loud enough to drown out the music i always have playing at night. just hearing the rain last night made me ache even more. but, i amazingly did find a spot and got somewhere near 6 hours of sleep. of course, i paid for that when i woke up this morning and my whole body popped when i got out of bed. it was like i was cracking my knuckles and the rest of my body wanted in on the fun. good times.

i did do a little poetry work last night. i went through the poems and came up with 10 i will probably be sending out tomorrow. i guess i'll take a shower since i will have to go to the post office to send these poems out.

The Voice last night was pretty good. only one performance really blew me away:

The Muppets was pretty funny last night. i wonder how great the show could be if it was on HBO or Showtime.

enjoy some music kids:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be American Horror Story: Hotel and You're The Worst. i will be watching NXT on the WWE Network.

Manchester United plays Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup today. with Chelsea and Arsenal losing yesterday, this is suddenly a trophy that United could actually win. i have no clue who LVG will play today as it is obvious that many players need a rest after this run of games. plus, you want to make sure the right guys are ready for the game on Saturday. hopefully, i will be drinking a victory beer this evening.

my sister landed in Cape Town today. hopefully she's having a great time.

did all my fantasy football shit this morning. nothing quite liking waking up early on a Wednesday morning trying to figure out what is going to happen 4 days in the future. i'm still shocked that all 3 of my teams are 6-1.

my fantasy hockey team has started slow this week. not the right week for that to happen.

i'm still in the kitchen. if it dries out in the next day or so, i will try to get some pictures of the trees behind the house and the changing colors of the leaves. of course, all of my cameras are loaded for the computer that is currently dead, so that could get interesting.

that's all for me today. i will be on here sometime tomorrow afternoon.

hope this finds everyone enjoying a stiff drink somewhere.

nothing a long shower won't fix

we got 2 inches of rain last night. and honestly, we missed the heavy shit. go a few miles to the east and there were some places that got over 5 inches of rain. even so, we still have little pockets of water standing in the yard. and that's with the temps being up in the 80's for most of the day. somehow, i'm guessing it was pure exhaustion, i slept for almost 6 hours last night. and it was one of those mornings where every bone in my body cracked as i got out of bed. at least i knew early that misery wasn't going to be very far away today.

i did watch most of the home run derby last night. i did like the changes, i thought it helped move the thing along much better. plus, anytime you have a clock counting down, it adds some drama. congrats to Todd Frazier for making the most of that drama.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. the two parts i enjoyed the most was the impromptu triple threat match:
the best part of the show was the women of NXT showing up. this made me so fucking happy:
that should take the divas division to a completely different level, that is if they actually give them the time on the shows. hopefully they use Charlotte, Becky and Sasha each week until the end of time.

enjoy some music as i got get something to drink:

the late night shows were back last night, finally. the storms kept me from watching most of it, so thanks to YouTube for allowing me to see what i missed:

team USA got off to another shitty start last night. thankfully, the game meant nothing for getting out of the group stage of the Gold Cup. but a 1-1 draw with Panama isn't what i wanted to see last night. especially when you had to come from behind to get that draw. Jurgen has made three changes for the knockout rounds. hopefully they are the right ones. here are some highlights:

tonight will be a busy one on television. i doubt i will watch much of the All-Star game itself, but i will watch the pre-game festivities. on the DVR tonight will be WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Deadliest Catch and Tyrant. i imagine i'll catch up on most of that in the early morning hours.

i did some poetry work today. figured out what i was going to send where later on in the week. i'm thinking that will happen on Thursday or so. the weather is supposed to be really nice then, as opposed to the weekend when were supposed to be in the 90's. good times.

before i go, why don't you have some food:

that's all for me today. mom went into work so i have spent the afternoon home alone. so, it was my usual, some porn and a long shower. that seems to be the best way i know how to just empty my head.

hope everyone is good or at the very least, good enough.

back in the saddle

i decided i would be something other than lazy today and actually do a blog post. now, i can't guarantee that i'm going to make this a daily ritual once again right away. but, as i'm slowly getting used to life in the suburbs once again, i can see this becoming my drug once again.

the furniture, or most of it, arrived on Monday. mom realized then just how small this house really is. that made me laugh. how we don't end up killing each other before we die of natural causes is beyond me. the good thing is my recliner is finally here and i've been able to sleep in it each time i have put my fat ass in it.

the weather has been crazy the last few days. the rain has really fucked me up. of course, the 30 degree drop in temperature didn't help either. i see the doctor on Monday. that should be an interesting one. since nearly everyone else in my family is a diabetic, i get my screening done on Monday. plus, i'd love to find out what is really going on with my ankle.

the Dayton Flyers had their run in the NCAA tournament ended by Oklahoma. they simply ran out of gas. but, they ran out of it months later than most people thought they would. and today they extended their coach until 2022. i highly doubt he will be here that long, but it does mean the college will get paid when he leaves for a big time job. of course, he may fool us all and stay here forever. he's got some great talent coming in next year. if it all works out, i can sense another deep run coming.

the New York Rangers could clinch a playoff spot tonight. they play Ottawa. more importantly though, The King is back. i believe he's going to play one of the games this weekend. if he can come back healthy and great, get ready for another DEEP playoff run. i really don't give a shit if they win the President's Trophy or not, i simply want the Stanley Cup again before i die.

i've been enjoying The Voice here for the last few weeks. here's a couple of the performances i've really liked:

so far i prefer team Blake (shocker) but i think each team has someone that can win the whole thing.

i didn't get on here to boast about Manchester United beating Liverpool, but i will gladly post the best goal in the Premier League this season:
ladies and gentlemen, Juan Mata...

i am truly enjoying life with a DVR. i don't have to stay up all night to watch shit (even though i do) and i am catching up with a bunch of shows i didn't watch before. of course, my life is still consumed with sports. and with WrestleMania coming up this weekend, you can imagine that pro wrestling is dominating my life at the moment. let's just say my mother isn't that happy.

speaking of pro wrestling, here's one of the best damn casket matches i have seen in years. Lucha Underground is something you absolutely NEED to watch each week:

my brackets for the NCAA tournament aren't horrible. the problem is they aren't great either. at this point i'm just hoping either Kentucky wins it all or loses in the final.

amazingly, most of the cats are still alive. i don't feed them everyday anymore. i do feed them when i'm over there. i'm a little surprised at how resilient they have been. of course, i would gladly love for someone to come along and take them. the other night i was looking out the window here at the new house and saw this huge cat come right up to the door. for a second, i thought one of those fuckers followed me from the farm. that wasn't the case, but the lady that lived here before had cats. as i have told my mother repeatedly, NO FUCKING PETS. i'll have a few bird feeders and battles with the flying rats (squirrels) but the only animal inside of here will be me.

i do know she's fucking stunned that i actually use the vacuum every few days. the house is 90% carpet, so i know it's necessary. i can't wait until we get a dishwasher though. i mean shit, we actually have water now that doesn't stain fucking everything it touches, let's take advantage of it. i know though, all the good shit has to wait until the farm gets auctioned off. hopefully the price gets high enough that my mother and i don't have to worry about fucking anything for at least a few months.

ok, enough of my rambling. got some good shit bubbling in the poetry world, but i don't want to jinx anything. but let's just say that a guy in Sweden has been busting his ass and finally, it may be all paying off. i've got some poems to send out here soon. i believe that will happen in the next few days. most likely before the end of March. can't let the world forget about me just yet.

i'll try to make this a habit once again. hope this finds everyone in good spirits.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

say hello to snow

so, the "experts" were partly correct with the weather forecast. it did snow. thankfully, we only got three inches of it. here are some pictures of the first snowfall on the farm in 2015:

you can see the rest of the pictures i took in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog.

thankfully, the snow was pretty easy to shovel. of course, i managed to injure myself anyway. i think i pulled something in my left arm. i probably hurt it yesterday trying to change the water filter in the cellar. thank god i have a wonderful pain tolerance.

it's supposed to get really fucking cold tonight, well below zero. i might have to sleep with the wool socks on tonight.

the World Juniors gold medal game last night was crazy. i stopped watching when Canada got out to a big lead and then i turned back and Russia had cut the lead down to 1. i watched most of the game from there. Canada won 5-4.

Monday Night Raw was disappointing last night. i'm reserving complete judgment to see if all the bullshit from last night leads to something good. of course, given what i think of the company, i don't have much hope for anything good happening.

thankfully, Gotham was fucking awesome last night. the episode had so many twists and turns... edge of the seat type shit for the entire hour. one of the best shows on television.

i think i found the checks i'm going to order when we move. i definitely have to get the Batman checks i found today. too fucking cool.

i have no clue what i'm going to watch tonight. probably some college basketball. maybe i'll catch up on some reading.

i'm planning on breaking out the first poetry submissions of 2015 tomorrow. so, hopefully my arm isn't killing me too much as i have some fucking typing to do.

hope everyone is doing good. hopefully it is warmer where you are. if not, break out the hard stuff for tonight. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

up early for nothing...

so i checked last night to see what time Manchester United was playing today. i saw that it was much earlier than what i originally thought. so, needless to say, i'm running on a little less than 5 hours of sleep right now.

Manchester United pissed away a few chances in the first half and then hung on for dear life in the second half of a 0-0 draw away at Tottenham. i guess 1 away point is better than none. especially if the goal is to finish the season in the top 4. oh well, not that my bad back could have used that victory beer or anything.

the New York Rangers got me that victory beer last night. Derek Stepan scored all 3 goals (which helps my fantasy team greatly) and the Rangers beat the shitty Devils 3-1. below are some highlights of their 8th straight win:

i did watch a few crazy college football games last night. the basketball games weren't nearly as entertaining.

ROH was excellent last night. the elimination tag team match was great. i love that at least the indies still understand how great tag team wrestling can be.

i did some poetry work last night while i was chatting with the muse. i suppose if i get more rejections than acceptances when i do send out this batch, i'll blame her. i found a couple places that i haven't sent to before. so, i think i'm going to send all this out in the first week of 2015. hopefully i can get the new year off to a bang. plus, that gives me some more time to write some new poems as well.

mom wanted me to watch a YouTube video yesterday that was about the area of Dayton she grew up in. she made a point to point out the house she grew up in. apparently, it never dawned on her or even better, she didn't care to remember, that house was also the house i was molested in as a child. i don't know what made me angrier. the fact she wanted me to watch the video right before the Rangers game was coming on or that it never registered in her head that i might not want to see a video of a place that has some horrific memories in my head. of course, we haven't talked about it, because that's not what dysfunctional families do. as you might imagine, i've been seething with anger for the past 18 hours or so.

today will thankfully be the final game of the New Orleans Saints sorry ass season. i'll watch it simply because i enjoy torturing myself. plus, i'd like to see them actually win again this season. of course, neither the Saints nor Tampa Bay will want to win this game because a loss gives either team a better draft pick next season. so, i'm really looking forward to this shit fest.

other than that, there's a few other games i'll try to watch today. i also have the trash to take care of, cats to feed, and since there are no Sunday night shows on tonight that i usually watch, one long ass shower to take.

i'll be on here tomorrow sometime after i get back from the doctor. i believe it's just the normal end of the year checkup type shit tomorrow. or, maybe he'll surprise me with a prescription for stronger pain pills. those would go nice with the vodka.

hope everyone is having a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

and then reality sets in...

yesterday went pretty good, all things considered. i only got into it with my sister once. i benched the right players in fantasy football (except for you, you asshole Tony Romo). and, there was a ton of shit removed from the house to take to Goodwill. that should make the move a little easier.

my mother and sister are out and about at the moment. hopefully my mother remembers to take it easy and don't get stressed. being with my sister, i'm not sure that's possible.

i did get about 90% of my Christmas shopping done yesterday. hopefully it all gets here in one piece. with all the gift cards and codes, i think i spent around $100. not too bad. i'm thinking of what to come up with for my fans and friends. i'm toying with doing some watercolors and cutting them up into a puzzle. if i do anything, all that will be going out in early December.

i did hear back from The Kitchen Poet on my poetry submission from back in August. they decided to pass as they are too backlogged at the moment. so, now i really have a nice size batch of poems to go through for the next round of submissions.

i got 2 of the 3 football games wrong yesterday. thankfully, those games don't count in the one pick 'em i play for money.

the New York Rangers start a home and home against Philly this afternoon. the hot rumor at the moment is the Rangers will be getting their captain back today. if so, that will go a LONG way to solving their defensive problems. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer this afternoon.

i do plan on getting most of my poetry work done this afternoon as i will have no fucking time this weekend to do it.

sorry to cut this short, but i have a ton of trash to get out of the house, cats to feed, and a fantasy hockey roster to go check.

of course, i could go on bitching forever about the baseboard heaters that stopped working this morning in our great room.

by the way, i did FINALLY get to listen to the CM Punk interview yesterday with Colt Cabana. if the WWE's medical staff really did allow him to wrestle with a staph infection for 3 months, they all should be fired. and i'm really happy that Punk has found happiness and is free from the bullshit of the company. hopefully i get to see him in a ring one day again, but if it never happens, he left me with some great fucking memories. and honestly, i think he'll have more fun writing comic books than battling sloppy wrestlers.

ok, now i'm finished. thanks again to all 3 of you for allowing me to waste your precious time. i hope everyone has a great weekend.
