so, at least i was smart enough to put on sunscreen before i went out the last two days. hotter than fucking hell, i swear. i first went to Big Lots today to see if they had any baseball cards. of course, they didn't. i was also looking for a picture frame as my mother has this picture of me from the early 80's with some Batman toys that she wanted framed. thankfully, i did find a good frame today at Menard's. i got just about everything i was looking for there. we had some rebates, so the total was just a little over $40. mom couldn't believe that when i got home.
the grocery shopping went pretty well yesterday. i did get 1 Fairfield box of baseball cards yesterday. it was one of the better boxes in a long time as there was about $25 worth of cards in it. and i was lucky enough to get one of the 2021 Topps Allen & Ginter value boxes on topps.com when i got home yesterday.
the Yankees won yesterday to win the series against the Royals, 5-2. they play against the White Sox in the Field of Dreams game tonight on FOX. hopefully, the Yankees will keep on winning.
AEW was excellent last night.
Big Brother was good last night. i'm pretty sure (not completely) that Christian will be evicted tonight.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Holey Moley, When Nature Calls and Desus & Mero. i've got NXT UK on in the background. more on that tomorrow.
i got enough bird food today that i should be able to fill up all the feeders tomorrow morning. i'm hoping it won't be too fucking hot when i'm out there. the tomatoes are certainly loving all this heat. i swear i'm picking 10 to 20 cherry tomatoes a day.
since the Yankees will be off tomorrow, i'll probably be on here in the early afternoon. i would love a day where i can just sit back and try to relax some.
that's all for me kids. until tomorrow...

today was one of those days where i could have stayed in bed the entire day and i don't think i would have missed a fucking thing. the dog days of summer are here and my usual depression is setting up camp, getting ready for a show. joy.
Monday Night Raw was good, bad, uneven, pretty cool, what the fuck and everything else possible last night. it's what happens when you schedule a ppv a week after SummerSlam. just way too busy for its own good last night.
the season finale of I May Destroy You was excellent last night.

the New York Yankees won last night against the Twins, 6-3. it was their first win this season over a team with a winning record. of course, every Yankee victory comes with an asterisk, this time being the injury to starter James Paxton. i guess the MRI showed knee inflammation, so he's the latest player on the injured list. they do get Miguel Andujar back today. hopefully, he doesn't re-injure himself.
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
NJPW was pretty good last night.
Real Time with Bill Maher was fucking hilarious last night.

i do plan on watching plenty of the NBA and NHL playoff games today and tonight.
i'll be doing my laundry today during the Yankees game.
i'm hoping i get that all done before the Kentucky Derby starts today.
i'll be on here tomorrow probably after Manchester United plays in the morning.

the trip to go down to my mother's lawyer's office was pretty uneventful. we eventually found the place and went inside. i really like her lawyer. seems pretty cool and direct, straight to the point. he was absolutely thrilled with what i could remember about her visit with this one doctor. his direct quote was i knocked it out of the park. he thinks my testimony might get her disability money back quickly. i really hope that is the case.
after that, we went out to lunch. of course, we were south of town, where all the people live, so everything was fucking crowded. we ended up at Rusty Bucket. that was the place we would go sometimes after mom's physical therapy sessions. it was a good lunch. of course, as soon as we sat down, the snow started. thankfully, it was just a wet, light snow. it really didn't start to stick until after we got home.
NXT was very good last night.
both episodes of NXT UK yesterday were excellent.
205 Live was good last night as well.

i haven't opened the box that came in the mail today yet. i'm hoping it's all the stuff i ordered for Christmas for my mother and sister. that being said, i know need to get going on Christmas cards and the gifts for my fans. i will hopefully get those in the mail next week or so.
i will probably be on here tomorrow after a trip to the grocery store. i believe mom has to come along with me to clear up another fuck up at the pharmacy.
if i really get a wild hair up my ass, i might actually get some poems out tomorrow as well. but that all kind of depends on how bad the arthritis is tonight. these cold nights don't really do much good for me anymore.

i somehow managed to get nearly 6 hours of sleep last night. i doubt it was the beer, so maybe my body just decided to quit for awhile. thankfully, it looks like i slept through the little rain and snow we got overnight. i'm hoping there's nothing else for today, other than a little sunshine.
the New York Rangers defeated Washington, the officials, and the entire NHL review system last night 3-2. i'm tired of bitching about officials, so i won't bother you with it. i just want to point out how the fuck do you give a goal when no one to my knowledge has seen the clear video evidence of the puck over the line. i know it sounds like whiny bitching when i say the NHL screws the Rangers more than any other team in the league, but sadly, it's a fucking fact. thankfully, Derek Stepan shoved it up the entire league's ass when he scored in the 3rd period to win the game 3-2. that's a win over the best team in the NHL, on the road, with your backup goalie in net. i enjoyed the fuck out of that victory beer last night.
Treehouse Masters was pretty cool last night. not sure if i'd want a camouflage treehouse, but to each their own.
the interview with Jim Ross last night was really good. i grew up on Gordon Solie, so he'll always be my voice of wrestling, but Jim Ross runs a close second. it was pretty cool hearing him call some NJPW matches last night.
VICE was awesome as usual. i'm not sure i'll ever look at meat in the same way again. i doubt i'll stop eating it, but i'll certainly eat less of it now. and god willing, i'll be dead by the time the planet is out of water.
enjoy some music kids:

on the DVR tonight will be Saturday Night Live and ROH.
the Dayton Flyers play VCU tonight at home. VCU will win the league outright if they win. Dayton will get a share of the league title if they win. it's the final home game of the season and seeing that they have lost the last two at home, i'm really hoping to see a victory tonight.
after the game i imagine mom and i will go out to eat at Waffle House, we haven't been there for a few weeks it seems.
i got a cd in the mail today from The Mad Poet, a metal band out of Seattle. they sort of mix metal music with classical opera type music, sort of something like Nightwish. if you are interested in getting some FREE music, check out themadpoet.net
i listened to Sam Roberts' Show podcast with Jim Norton last night. if you need a good laugh, seek it out.
i will probably be on here tomorrow sometime after the Manchester United game. hopefully i will have nothing but good news to share.
i did type up the poems i wrote yesterday. i do believe there are a few winners in this batch as well. i'll probably get another round of submissions ready before March Madness truly begins.

simply imagine my joy when i'm on the computer and suddenly the internet goes out. add to that the telephone going out as well. thankfully, i wasn't in the middle of typing up poems or watching porn, i was only reading some news. but, you can really imagine how much fun i had when the internet finally came back on, 6 HOURS later. fuck me. i got what shit i could do offline done in the afternoon (bank, post office). and, like usual, once i started doing shit around the house, boom, the fucker comes back on. i learned that trick at the farm. if i ever wanted the phone to ring or someone to knock on the door after i've been waiting for hours, go take a shit. it never fails.
so, once all the updates that didn't happen got over with and i got through the 72 emails i had... today turned into what i wanted it to be... poetry day. i sent out 19 poems today, 5 each to Your One Phone Call and Hiram Poetry Review, 3 each to Dead Snakes, Raw Dog Press and Pink Litter. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.
the light by my computer is dying, so it's sort of like typing in the dark at the moment. good times.
enjoy some music:
Big Brother went as i thought it would last night. i fully expect Jeff to get evicted tonight. as for wrestling, i didn't watch much of ROH. i had already seen it. NXT was really, really good. the main event between Sasha Banks and Charlotte was great:
but the winner of the night for me was Lucha Underground. if you haven't hopped aboard this train, do so NOW. it is shaping up to be an awesome fucking ride:
there was also plenty of funny shit last night as well:
tonight on the DVR will be Big Brother, an incredible episode of Lip Sync Battle that i fear will be one of those things you can't clean from your brain EVER, Married and the new show Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll.
as for now, i'm going to go eat dinner and enjoy what is left of a sunny, hardly any humidity at all, slight breeze, but, as usual, TOO MANY FUCKING LAWNMOWERS running, day. if i had the money, i would turn the whole fucking lawn into a putting green that would NEVER be mowed. the problem is all the elderly fuckers around here play golf and i'm pretty sure someone would peek through my windows and watch me masturbate. much to their horror, that wouldn't make me stop.
enjoy that visual boys and girls, i have more emails to catch up on.

the New York Yankees pissed me off so much last night that i didn't even bother to realize that my DVR didn't record Tyrant, a show i truly love. i'm going to put the blame on myself and my relationship with technology, although a sane man would argue that the Yankees shitty pitching for the last 3 games is a good enough reason for anyone to blow a fucking fuse.
i understand that in the game of baseball, sometimes shit happens. but, when you lose to the worst team in baseball again last night, 11-6, it's fucking inexcusable. what makes it worst was they fought back to get the game to 6-6 and then pissed away chance after chance to go ahead. they blew the game in the 9th when they gave up 5 runs. i believe it's the first time the Phillies have scored 11 runs in back to back games in almost a decade. CC only went 4 2/3 last night, so i guess Ivan Nova, coming back from Tommy John surgery, will have to pitch a complete game when they play this afternoon. fuck me runnin'.
here's a little music as i clean my own damn pallet from the shitty taste of last night's game:
i wrote 5 poems yesterday while in the waiting room of mom's doctor's office. i think 2 or 3 of them are really good. i typed them up last night while i was drinking in anger. i guess i should actually check them to make sure i didn't make any mistakes.
WWE Tough Enough was pretty good last night. some parts were a little too much Jersey Shore for my liking, but oh well. the after show on the WWE Network was excellent. The Miz was truly in his element given all the times he has been on reality shows.
Deadliest Catch was excellent last night. it will be interesting to see how Jake does as a captain.
i planned ahead this time and made sure i have Tyrant scheduled to record. of course, i will have to wait until next Tuesday to catch up. of course, i might check later in the week to see if the episode i missed is on demand. fucking technology.
here's some funny shit from last night:
on top of tonight being pro wrestling night, my summer guilty pleasure comes back, Big Brother. it is the perfect show for insomniacs and evil geniuses. that will be on the DVR (fingers crossed), along with ROH and Lucha Underground. i will be watching NXT on the WWE Network when the other shows are on. i haven't decided if i'm going to watch TNA tonight or not. i may just check out the YouTube clips.
mom is feeling pretty crappy today. the heat does her no help with her disease. i was a little shocked when she told me yesterday she decided to go through with another procedure on her ear. it's the same one that nearly killed her last time. not literally, but she did look like she was being electrocuted at the moment the needle went in. she told me they are planning on knocking her out as best they can this time around. of course, i will be in the room like last time, so i can't wait to see how this goes. the first one did nothing for her. maybe this time will work. i won't get my hopes up, that's for sure.
if the Yankees do get swept today, i know i will end up shaving my head. i plan on leaving this funky beard i've got going, but the hair on top will be gone. that would actually feel nice in this heat. so, i figure the Yankees will win today to spite me.
that's really all for me today. i've got trash cans to go get and hopefully the mail is here by now. hope everyone is doing good. if not, you now have discovered the reasons for drugs and alcohol.

it's in the upper 80's as i'm writing this. for all you dumb fucks that don't believe in global warming, why do we only have two seasons anymore? hot and cold. when it's in the 80's before noon, truly, fucking ridiculous.
i woke up this morning with an upset stomach. perfect for this kind of weather. after 3 shits before 10 in the morning, i decided today would be a good day to clean the toilets.
found out the other auction at the farm will be June 3rd. so, hopefully i make a little money on my shit out there (truck, basketball hoop, etc.).
the New York Yankees got some more good pitching and just enough offense last night to win 4-3. A-Rod hit his 661st home run of his career, passing Willie Mays. hopefully they can get another winning streak going tonight.
The Big Bang Theory was great last night. i always enjoy a good cliffhanger.
Louie was obviously a episode written while stoned. it was amazingly fucked up. The Comedians was pretty dark as well.
once again, Lip Sync Battle was way better than it should have been:
that show is twisted and such a nice release of all the week's bullshit.
here's some other funny shit from last night:
and now, a musical break:
my sister is down here tonight to work some event in downtown Dayton. i think she's coming back here afterwards. tonight is truly do or die for the New York Rangers. they have backed themselves into a corner now, being down 3-1. that's really where all my attention will be tonight.
i suppose i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United (hopefully) ends their losing streak.
i'm off to go take a shower and maybe start my laundry once the sun finally goes down.
hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to rain here i believe. i guess that's one way to keep these fuckers from mowing their grass nearly every fucking day.

the propane tank is full. the ice has been cleared off the sidewalks. the cats and birds have been fed and forgotten about. i'm effectively blocking the pain in my arm and back with adrenaline and hope. tonight's the night. i know there are only so many times in my life i get to watch the team i have rooted for since my birth to have the chance to go win a championship. to have it be the first one decided in a playoff, which makes it a "true" championship... priceless. there's also the little vow of mine if one of my teams wins a championship, this goatee i've been growing since the last championship will come off. the caveat of course is i will NEVER shave again. so, tonight has many, many consequences. here's the hype video Ohio State put out for the game. needless to say, i'm ready to run through a fucking wall:
hopefully tonight goes much better than yesterday did. Manchester United controlled just about all 90 minutes. they forgot to just keep it simple stupid and score. so, of course, they lost to a team they shouldn't have. they are still in the top 4, barely. i was beyond pissed for most of the rest of the day.
i did get to watch the episode of ROH i slept through. a great episode to start off 2015.
the NFL playoff games were good. i split on picking the games. i'm now 6-2 in the playoffs.
i watched a little bit of The Golden Globes. i did laugh at some of it. i did love Jeremy Renner's line about J-Lo.
the Sunday night shows were pretty good. Girls had a great ass eating scene and not much else. Togetherness i really liked. i think that show will be really good. Shameless was great, as usual. loved the nudity and flirting. House of Lies was good if you remembered last season. Episodes was pretty good. Total Divas was more mindless shit, though i wouldn't mind seeing the uncensored version of it.
other than the game tonight, i might check out Monday Night Raw and the Men in Blazers if the game is going bad for Ohio State. i know "Macho Man" Randy Savage is supposed to be announced for the WWE Hall of Fame tonight. hopefully they do that before the game starts. he's one of my favorites of all-time.
i had a horrible time falling asleep last night. between my bad back and this shitty weather, i might have got 3 hours at best. if Ohio State wins tonight, i doubt i will get that much.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. it will be sometime before the New York Rangers game, i do know that.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i figure with the way i have lived/living my life, all i really need anymore is a few good cat naps and i'm good to go. of course, i know i'm fooling myself and will probably die in my 40's because of this... but honestly, do you think i fucking care? after a delirious night of no sleep, i understand the whole line of better to burn out than to fade away.
i somehow managed to stay up and watch that NJPW ppv last night, Wrestle Kingdom 9. it was fucking awesome. i've seen bits and pieces of wrestling from Japan over the years, but last night was my first full live show. i would have to rank it in the top 5 wrestling ppv's i have EVER seen. the matches were great. the storytelling was top notch. to hear Jim Ross call matches again was great. i'm not going to spoil any results for anyone who might be getting the replay tonight. all i will say is do yourself a favor and get the ppv and enjoy the hell out of it.
the ROH show last night was a clip show of the top matches of 2014. since i had seen all those matches, i took that as a chance to get a quick nap in. other than the 2 hours i got this morning, that's all the sleep i've had. good times.
my friend Paul came over to watch the Bengals playoff game. it was good to see that he's better now and out of the hospital. of course the Bengals lost. he left before the game was over. i can't blame him. it was starting to snow and he had other shit to do. we did talk about going to some soccer matches in the future. that should be some fun.
Manchester United won today in the FA Cup 2-0. of course, they looked like shit doing so. and they also have 2 more injured players. thank fucking god the January transfer window will soon be open. goals today from Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria.
now, let's rewind to yesterday...
the Dayton Flyers took Duquesne behind the woodshed and beat the shit out of them yesterday. of course, it took them awhile to get going, but once they did, it was awesome to watch. Dayton won 81-55. honestly, for most of the game it never felt that close. their next two games are on the road. and since this is the season of being challenged, Dayton lost another player yesterday for the season to concussion symptoms. sadly, it also ends his career as he was a 5th year senior. so, with the other players gone and injuries, Dayton has 7 guys more or less. i'm so proud that this team has basically said fuck it and accepted the challenge. here are some highlights from yesterday:
after the game we went to the new house to look for a few things. i guess the furnace hasn't been cleaned for more than 5 years. good times.
we made it back to the farm in time to watch the NFL playoff games.
the New York Rangers beat the shit out of Buffalo last night, 6-1. the power play is finally clicking and i'm loving it. Buffalo took three straight penalties and the Rangers scored on all 3 power plays. hopefully this is a good sign of things to come, especially with a west coast road trip coming up. here are some highlights from last night:
i was sad to hear about the death of Stuart Scott today. i can remember watching all those SportsCenters when i got off from work and he was definitely one that entertained me. fucking cancer takes another good one. do any bad people die from cancer?
once i get done with this, i'm planning on watching the rest of the Dallas playoff game, maybe some World Juniors hockey, and the new season of Total Divas starts tonight. the rest of the Sunday night shows start back up next week.
i guess i should eat something as well. lunch kind of just blew past me today.
thankfully none of the snow is sticking but it is certainly getting fucking cold. i might actually have to get a blanket out for sleeping in the chair.
i hope everyone is having a great weekend. hopefully you didn't lose money betting on the wrong UFC fighter last night. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

i was hoping to be in a much better mood when writing this, but thank an unwilling to be great Manchester United squad for my mood. United got a draw with Aston Villa this morning (1-1). you'd think i'd be happy with one point on the road. but, when United played the last 30 minutes of the match up a man (thanks to a rather harsh red card), it then becomes a game they must win. and they didn't. barely got a fucking chance in those 30 minutes. oh well. it was nice to see Falcao score again. hopefully he can get on a roll since the holidays always brings a ton of games right in a row it seems.
i was in one of those happy/sad moods last night while watching television. to know that this was the last Christmas show David Letterman was going to do, i wasn't as much sad as i was reflective. i think i have watched his show since it started quite honestly. i've been a tv addict since i was a child. i did enjoy Darlene Love one final time. here is that:
i stayed up and watched the final The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson as well. i was so happy that i did. the opening absolutely blew me away:
try to watch that and not get that song stuck in your head. needless to say, i bought it on iTunes this morning.
the ending to the show made me laugh. i'm really going to miss it.
plenty of sports going on today. i'll watch bits and pieces of the two NFL games going today. i do have a player going for the Eagles today. i believe my opponent in the fantasy football championship game has the Eagles QB. hopefully, if he throws any touchdowns today, they are to my WR.
the New York Rangers finish up their road trip in Carolina tonight. hopefully they can get another win.
i'll be going to see the Dayton Flyers take on Boston University. i'm going to be really interested to see how they play without the two players that got kicked off the team this week. i want to stay positive and believe they still have a chance to do well, but i'm not that kind of guy. although, i think if they pick up the speed of play and start making some fucking shots, anything is possible.
hopefully we'll get home in time to watch Saturday Night Live and ROH. i'm looking forward to both of those shows tonight. hopefully i'll be enjoying a few victory beers while watching them.
my mother, sister and i will be celebrating Christmas tomorrow. i was under the impression we were going to do it today, but, i forgot that we don't communicate well as a family. i'm not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. it actually could be while the football games are going on. that might be my little break from the stress of trying to win another championship. this is what happens when you're a competitive asshole. winning is the only acceptable position in life. when i take a step out of myself i can only wonder what could have been.
i do hope everyone has a great weekend. if you are traveling, be safe. if you are having family over, may the drinks be strong and may there be no violence (unless someone really fucking deserves it). and if you hate the fucking holidays like i tend to do, may the music of your choice be loud enough to drown out the world.
thanks again to all 3 of you for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

yesterday went pretty good, all things considered. i only got into it with my sister once. i benched the right players in fantasy football (except for you, you asshole Tony Romo). and, there was a ton of shit removed from the house to take to Goodwill. that should make the move a little easier.
my mother and sister are out and about at the moment. hopefully my mother remembers to take it easy and don't get stressed. being with my sister, i'm not sure that's possible.
i did get about 90% of my Christmas shopping done yesterday. hopefully it all gets here in one piece. with all the gift cards and codes, i think i spent around $100. not too bad. i'm thinking of what to come up with for my fans and friends. i'm toying with doing some watercolors and cutting them up into a puzzle. if i do anything, all that will be going out in early December.
i did hear back from The Kitchen Poet on my poetry submission from back in August. they decided to pass as they are too backlogged at the moment. so, now i really have a nice size batch of poems to go through for the next round of submissions.
i got 2 of the 3 football games wrong yesterday. thankfully, those games don't count in the one pick 'em i play for money.
the New York Rangers start a home and home against Philly this afternoon. the hot rumor at the moment is the Rangers will be getting their captain back today. if so, that will go a LONG way to solving their defensive problems. hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer this afternoon.
i do plan on getting most of my poetry work done this afternoon as i will have no fucking time this weekend to do it.
sorry to cut this short, but i have a ton of trash to get out of the house, cats to feed, and a fantasy hockey roster to go check.
of course, i could go on bitching forever about the baseboard heaters that stopped working this morning in our great room.
by the way, i did FINALLY get to listen to the CM Punk interview yesterday with Colt Cabana. if the WWE's medical staff really did allow him to wrestle with a staph infection for 3 months, they all should be fired. and i'm really happy that Punk has found happiness and is free from the bullshit of the company. hopefully i get to see him in a ring one day again, but if it never happens, he left me with some great fucking memories. and honestly, i think he'll have more fun writing comic books than battling sloppy wrestlers.
ok, now i'm finished. thanks again to all 3 of you for allowing me to waste your precious time. i hope everyone has a great weekend.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
peace and chicken grease...

if anyone would like to get me a gift for the holidays, my Amazon.com Wish List is public (find it using my email, jcampb4593@aol.com) and you are more than welcome to get me ANYTHING on the list.
about two hours ago, i felt my back tightening up. i figured that was the cold front starting to move through. good thing i closed up the barns as best as i could earlier in the day. the young cats looked at me like i was crazy for doing it. of course, the older ones were busy eating and getting prepared for the next few days.
my sister didn't exactly like the counter offer she got on the house. i'm not sure what's going to come out of all of this, but i think there is no chance my sister goes through with the deal if she thinks she's not the one winning in the end. as much as i love her to death, she's the type of person that will die with every single penny she has ever earned clinched in her fists as they drop her in the ground. this is always where i know she secretly can't stand me as i don't give two shits about money. if i have it, great. if i don't, oh well.
i got to see most of what i wanted to last night. Gotham was great once again. there were two performances that really blew me away on The Voice last night...
Monday Night Raw was pretty good. i like the way the teams for Survivor Series are shaping up. i watched some of the MLS playoffs last night and then fell asleep right after Men in Blazers. i might have enjoyed that more if i wasn't dead tired.
i had to drive my mother around this afternoon. she's still not comfortable driving, so i'm going to be doing that for god knows how long. the way she is right now, i have no clue if she's going to be able to go to the basketball game on Friday.
after we got home and ate some lunch, i hopped on the computer to watch Video Game High School. one of my guilty pleasures.
tonight will be another interesting night of television for me. the Concert for Valor is on HBO tonight. The Voice has another night of live performances. and then, the New York Rangers play at home against the Penguins. this could be a brutal hockey game as the Rangers stink on defense right now and the Penguins would like some revenge for the playoffs last season. needless to say, i'm going to be busy bouncing between those three things tonight.
i finished 10-3 on my NFL picks for the second straight week. my two fantasy teams are headed in different directions. one has lost 6 in a row while the other has won 6 in a row. well, at least i might get one team in the playoffs.
that's all for me today. hope everyone had a great Veteran's Day here in the USA or a great Metal Day in the rest of the world. turn it to 11 brothers. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i got up this morning and it was cold outside. thankfully, it was pretty warm in the house. i don't think the cats outside were exactly ready for 25 degrees this morning. thankfully for them, the sunshine should warm them up pretty quickly. i got most of my shit done in time to watch the Manchester Derby. needless to say, i'm still a little pissed.
i'm not pissed at Manchester United for losing 1-0 while being down to 10 men for nearly 60 minutes. i'm not pissed at the fact they had some chances to get something out of the game buy couldn't convert. i'm really only pissed at Chris Smalling. what the fuck was he thinking? pure fucking madness. the first yellow is the stupid one. sadly, because of the Rojo injury, i'm guessing Smalling keeps his spot. i'm still shaking my head. what could have been... but congrats to Manchester Shitty. had a power play for almost a hour and could only get 1 goal. ha ha.
the New York Rangers lost 1-0 in a shootout last night. sadly, they also lost 2 defensemen in the first period, Klein and McDonagh. how the other 4 managed to help the team get a least a point out of that game last night is beyond me. McDonagh is out for awhile with a separated shoulder. that will be a costly one for the Rangers. if Klein is out for any time, they basically only have 2 defensemen left that are "good". not fun. they play again on Monday night.
thankfully, Ohio State whipped Illinois last night 55-14. that victory beer helped ease my blues.
Saturday Night Live was great last night. Prince was amazing. he clearly still has "it". ROH was awesome last night as well.
i've got the trash down to the end of the lane so the rest of my day is going to be watching football and mumbling to myself about Manchester United.
i suppose i might watch Nik Wallenda do his crazy tightrope shit in Chicago tonight on the Discovery Channel. if my day goes bad in fantasy football, sadly i'll be watching, hoping for something to go wrong. that's the joy of enjoying the ride to hell. also tonight i plan on watching Homeland, The Affair, and Last Week Tonight.
and then, hopefully, a nice long night of sleep. we turned the clocks back last night. i rarely get to use that extra hour for sleep. hopefully that changes.
mom got the check for the crops yesterday. there was two numbers to the left of the comma, so i'm happy about that. sadly, the weather change late really hurt us. plus, the prices being down this year didn't help.
that's all for me today. my buddy Paul just called and he's coming over today to watch some football. at least i'll have someone other than my mother to bitch to.
hope your weekend is going better than mine. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

looks like we are now officially in summer. another day near 90 degrees. those 3 weeks of spring were nice.
mom needed to go to the grocery store today, so i volunteered to come along as i know the heat and her aren't friends. but, of course, i don't have any good shorts clean, so i have to wear the only pair of jeans i have that i like. jeans, 90 degrees, public situation... what could go wrong.
on the drive over, my stomach started to feel a little weird. i figured it was just nerves of the Rangers game tonight. and the good kind of anxiety... something i am looking forward to so much, etc. etc. about 2 minutes into the store, i have to go to the bathroom. not good.
i HATE shitting in public. i avoid it at all costs. today, of course, was an exception. as soon as i sat down, here it comes. at least it was mostly solid. i gave a few courtesy flushes as there were other people in the bathroom. after 15 minutes, i clean my hands good and ignore the young fucker next to me trying to start up a conversation. i suppose i look like a bear in the gay community, but i'm not a part of the gay community. not that there's anything wrong with that.
mom asked me when i walked out of the bathroom if i was ok and i told her well, i don't believe any turds are going to fall out of my jeans as we walk through the store, so let's go. and i of course said this loud enough that anyone could hear it.
needless to say, there will be poems about this.
the Yankees won last night in extra innings, 6-4. that was a victory beer i wasn't expecting. they play again tonight. i have no clue how much of the game i will watch.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. i love how creepy The Wyatt Family is. and stringing the championship situation out with Daniel Bryan is the smart way to go. should get more people interested in the PPV this Sunday.
other than that, i caught a little of the basketball game and the rest of the night was emails. i'm not used to getting this many poems published so close together, so i've been a busy boy. there's going to be some more in the next few days as well.
the New York Rangers play a HUGE Game 5 tonight in Montreal. i'd love for them to close it out tonight. just 1 more WIN and they will be playing for the Stanley Cup. i have a good feeling about tonight, mostly because 20 years ago today, this happened:
i will be drinking myself under the table tonight if the Rangers win.
also tonight, i'm going to try to fit in Deadliest Catch at some point. could be one of those nights i'm up until the sun comes up. good times.
not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. probably depends on how tonight goes.
hope everyone is well. hope everyone is enjoying the poems. feel free to tell me if you are. fuck, tell me if you don't like them as well. i enjoy a good hate email from time to time. those make for some good fuel at times.
peace and chicken grease my enemies... be well.

i woke up this morning feeling like shit. not sick, but full of pain. and not the kind of pain that means a rush to the hospital. more like the kind of pain that goes with oncoming cold fronts and my arthritis probably getting worse. good times. so, i knew pretty damn early i wasn't going to be mowing the grass feeling like that. but, i'm 2 weeks behind on my laundry and the toilets need cleaned. so you can imagine what my afternoon has been.
my last load of laundry is in the dryer and as soon as i get this blog done i get to do some dishes. i figure what i'm really doing is keeping my mind off of the Rangers second round playoff game tonight against the Penguins. not sure if my back appreciates my brain seeking a little vacation.
the New York Yankees lost last night 4-2. the pitching, other than Tanaka, has been spotty to say the least and the offense has gone cold for the last few games. they play against Tampa tonight. i doubt i watch much of it given the Rangers game. maybe during intermissions.
i did enjoy the Star Wars episode of The Big Bang Theory last night. that did make me laugh pretty good. most of the rest of the night was spent watching hockey and basketball. that's probably what tonight will be as well.
mom went back to work today. not sure how she's doing as she hasn't called. i figure most of the day was spent showing people the scar. i'm hoping she has had a pretty good day. i figure if i can get the dishes done before she gets home, i will have at least done my part.
with that being said, that's all for me today folks. hope everyone has a great weekend in store. mine will be filled with some sports and not much sleep. i'm hoping to have a writing session at some point this weekend, maybe get a few good poems out of it.
be well. be creative. be sure to treat your inner geek on May 4th. and then be sure to treat that geek to some pussy afterwards. or dick, i know there are some women and gay men that enjoy Star Wars as well.
i'll be on here tomorrow sometime in the late afternoon. hopefully after a few victory beers.
peace and chicken grease.

i just watched Chelsea lose the UEFA Super Cup on penalty kicks so i thought i would take advantage of this rare ray of sunshine in my life to write my blog today.
but first, allow me to peel back the onion on my day. i know there is an artist in Sweden that loves these stories. so, i got some money together this morning to make a deposit at the bank. i force myself to do these things in person as that is really the only human interaction my recluse ass gets anymore. so, as i'm getting ready to take a shower, i have a SUDDEN urge to shit. i laugh, because normally that urge comes when i'm shampooing my hair. so, after 20 minutes i finally get in the shower. i'm pissed off as my back is killing me. so, what better time than right now to burst the blood blister on my inner right thigh. damn good thing i don't mind the sight of blood. plus, well water and soap on a bloody wound, what better way to proclaim to the world you simply just hate yourself.
on to other things...
i did manage to write 3 poems last night and i typed them up this morning. i like all 3 of them but i really have no clue where i'm going to be sending them. i'd like to write another 10 or so over the holiday weekend and then start cracking the whip on finding the right places for the poems.
i watched a ton of college football last night. a couple of instant classics on the first night. this should be a crazy season.
Big Brother went about how i figured it would last night. one racist leaves and the other is the new HOH. and her target is the last power couple remaining. if they both leave with the double eviction coming up, the show will be too fucking boring to give a shit anymore.
Wilfred was hilarious as always.
after thinking about it, i don't mind Manchester United's draw for the Champions League. it won't be easy, but it's not the group of death either.
the new kittens found their voices today. that surely will get annoying rather quickly.
not exactly sure what i'll be watching this evening. the Yankees are back at home in MUST win games. there is always wrestling once the Yankees start pissing me off. i'm sure there's some college football and soccer on this evening as well.
i figure i may just try to beat the heat again and do some writing. who knows.
that's all for today. hope everyone has a great weekend and for all my readers in the USA, enjoy the holiday weekend.

"Poetry is always slightly mysterious, and you wonder what is your relationship to it." - Seamus Heaney (April 13, 1939 - August 30, 2013)
yes, you read that correctly. a very rare happy Monday.
i was thrilled last night watching the Yankees 3-0 win over Baltimore. great pitching from Kuroda and some timely hitting. plus, a game done in just over 2 1/2 hours. can't beat that. after a day off today, the next series is with Arizona. i guess i get to relive all the pain from the 2001 World Series again.
i did enjoy Veep and Nurse Jackie last night. and i got to catch the episode of Vice i missed from Friday night. i really love that show. only if all reporting could be like that...
the poet of the day on my Google+ page is RC Edrington. RC is one of the best poets i have ever read. if you haven't read any of his work, first off, shame on you, second, seek it out immediately. here is a link to his website: http://www.rcedrington.com/
some good news to report on the fantasy hockey front. i (somehow) came back from a 7-3 deficit to begin this week to win 6-3-1. thank god i've been in that kind of hole before and know how to manipulate a roster and the waivers system. off to the finals for me, first time in 3 years. of course, the guy i'm facing only finished nearly 15 games ahead of me in the division. needless to say, i have my work cut out for me.
i did watch about the last hour or so of The Masters yesterday. i did think it was kind of funny that i told my mother to watch out for Adam Scott the night before. of course, i told her that because i figured he would choke another one away. to say i was a bit surprised when he won would be an understatement.
the windows are open today. the birds seem thrilled with the new bird feeders. and mom got some wind chimes to replace the ones that broke last year. and of course, now that we have some again, i don't think the wind has picked up enough today for them to make a sound. figures.
i'm off to my afternoon nap before a night of flipping between Monday Night Raw and The Voice. and a handful of hockey games that i will analyze to death hoping to pick up some kind of advantage on my fantasy hockey opponent.

hopefully the factory put the right poems in the right places. time will tell.
as for tonight, some mindless television. tonight marks the return of Big Brother, one of the few guilty pleasures i allow myself. and after that will be two of the best shows on tv, Wilfred and Louie. some local news, Letterman, Fallon and then Big Brother After Dark on Showtime 2. hopefully this cast doesn't suck. from what i've seen so far, it could be an interesting season. of course, if it sucks, more sleep for me.
