let the fun begin...

the adrenaline is starting to flow, and honestly, after watching this, you'll understand why:

i will probably go through every fucking emotion possible tonight while watching the game. but, i fully believe i will be breaking out the hard shit celebrating a victory tonight. so, get it done boys. PLEASE.

the Yankees pissed away a lead last night and tried to comeback late but failed, losing 5-4 to Oakland. it figures, they sweep the best team in the AL, fly across the country and lose to the team with the worst record. they play again tonight.

the shows last night were pretty damn good. the season finale of Louie was more uncomfortable comedy. brilliant. i'm saving the comedy special that came on after the show for later this weekend. i was too in and out of it with the baseball game last night to give a good account of it. The Comedians was excellent. and lastly, Lip Sync Battle was pretty damn funny once again:

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW. i'll probably watch that after the hockey game.

before my day got draining as hell, i was able to listen to this podcast:
definitely a must listen. check it out on notsam.com, iTunes, Stitcher, or the right hand side of this blog. and congrats to Sam on his show getting picked up daily on Sirius/XM and for his appearance on the Stone Cold Steve Austin podcast. i'm really happy that Sam is starting to blow up. he's paid his dues, that's for sure.

a quick music break before i describe my driving hell today:

mom decided she felt good enough to go into work today. she then decided she might as well head over to Value City to pick up the chair they didn't bring to the house. and since we had books to go to the used bookstore over there, fuck it, i'll drive. we first go to the hospital. that took way longer than it should have. mostly because mom isn't in good enough condition to constantly be on the go and women just love to talk, especially when one is in a hurry. after we finally got out of there, we went out to eat. that was better than i expected. plus, the waitress might have sparked a poem, so that's a plus. we went to the bookstore next. 3 boxes of books and magazines. my grand total for selling them: $6. that almost covers the gas to go across the county. oh well, that's more shit out of the garage. and then, off to Value City Furniture. after finding out where to go to pick up the furniture, we hit the bell. and then hit it again. finally after the 3rd time of hitting the bell, someone came to the window. we waited another 20 minutes for them to bring the chair out. now the kicker to the story, it's not put together. apparently, if you pick the furniture up, they give it to you in pieces. well, needless to say mom was fucking furious. the customer service lady offered to put it together. of course, by then we were 15 minutes away from the store. in rush hour traffic. so, guess who gets to put that together... good times. we had to go to the grocery store after that to return some lights and pick up some prescriptions. so, once again, another afternoon where i didn't take a nap.

i will be fucking spent by the end of this evening.

that is all for me. i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. enjoy the warmer weather and hopefully some skies full of sun and not rain.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

i forgot to take a nap today

i typed up a poem i wrote a few days ago this morning. i liked it and thought what the fuck, this might as well be poetry day. so, i got some submissions together and then spent most of the afternoon typing up emails and sending them. of course, this was during when i usually take a nap. so, i tried to do my best checking of my shit while yawning. i figure i probably fucked up along the way somewhere. i sent out 17 poems today, 5 to Horror Sleaze Trash and 3 each to The Camel Saloon, Napalm and Novocain, Dead Snakes and Pyrokinection. when i hear back from these places i'll pass along the verdicts.

i also got the first of my shipments from amazon.com today. i decided while buying mom's birthday gift, i might as well use the rest of the gift cards i had at amazon on some of the music i have missed. so, that was what was playing while the typing was going on today. good timing actually by the postal service on that one.

a quick music break before we get this show on the road:

the New York Yankees finished off their sweep of Kansas City yesterday, winning 4-2. Alex Rodriguez hit a big HR for the winning runs and continues to have a pretty fucking surprising season. they are back in first place in the division. they are on the west coast for a road trip starting tonight. i guess i'll be up late tonight.

my uncle came over yesterday while the game was on. he wanted to see the new furniture. we got "most" of what we ordered. one chair for the kitchen wasn't on the truck. i think mom and i are going to pick that up ourselves this weekend probably. my uncle liked the furniture and watched some of the game with mom and me. i think he just wanted to get away from his wife. i don't mind him coming over. if it gets more than that, it's off to my room.

the wrestling last night was excellent. NXT made me personally mark out when this match happened:
3 of my favorite independent wrestlers of all-time if you include the referee. that was a nice little moment out of nowhere. as usual with NXT, another great show.

Lucha Underground was spectacular once again last night. great moves and yet another HOLY SHIT spot fest. some of the best matches on television anywhere. enjoy the highlights:

the NBA Finals are now set. whoever wins this one will be getting their first title in a long, long time. Cleveland vs. Golden State. it should be a fun series to watch. plenty of small ball, running the court, shooting the 3, etc, etc. i wouldn't mind if it went for a good 6 or 7 games.

both NHL conference finals are going to 7 games. that's the first time that has happened in 15 years. hopefully the Rangers find a way to win another Game 7 tomorrow night.

tonight i'll have the DVR busy. all on at about the same time: The Comedians, Louie, Lip Sync Battle, and i believe FX is going to have the latest Louie C.K. comedy special on after the season finale of Louie. i'll definitely have to check that out.

mom and i went to the grocery store yesterday. we both noticed her car was making some weird sounds. figures, i thought, since it will be mine before too long. she took it in today and it was the back left brake fucking up. she just had the front brakes done last week. let's just say she's not a happy camper at the moment. as for the grocery store, not sure if i'm going to get any poems out of it. but, i did get some decent ice cream, so that will do.

that's all for me today. i will be on here tomorrow long before i get over hyped for Game 7.

a splitting headache

it figures, the sun comes out and i have a headache that keeps me in bed for most of the day. maybe my father put some voodoo hex on me before he died.

the shower didn't exactly help yesterday. it's so much fun when you get in the shower and your bone spurs start going nuts. just a bundle of fucking joy there.

tv last night was ok. i thought The Comedians was really funny. Louie was really good. Lip Sync Battle wasn't as good as the previous episodes, though it did make me laugh:

i'm trying the reverse psychology tonight with the New York Rangers. i'm wearing no Rangers items at all. hopefully, that and some better team play will help them get a win and tie this series up at 2. if they don't win tonight, i'm guessing the series will be over on Sunday.

the New York Yankees play at home tonight against Texas. i have no clue what to expect with this team. if it's like the last few games, they will get great pitching and the offense won't do shit.

i got some great music on NoiseTrade today for FREE. i highly urge you to check it out. i'll provide the link below in the music section and here is a sample of it:

i caught up on the last two episodes of Brew Dogs this afternoon. all that did was make me really want some craft beer.

other than the games tonight, i have no damn clue what else is on television. i suppose if i get pissy, i'll switch over to the Food Network or something.

here's a little comedy for you:

i hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. this will be a nice big test for me if the family decides they want to do shit next door for Memorial Day. damn good thing my bedroom door has a lock on it.

still no sunshine...

i was all ready last night. i had a very good dinner. the Yankees had a lead. i had a "new" lucky t-shirt on. i was all set up to watch the New York Rangers show that Game 2 was just a blip. well, so much for that.

the Rangers got off to a 2 goal lead. they promptly gave up the next 4. they came back to tie it at 4. gave up another one. and then tied it again late in the 3rd period. 5-5 going to overtime. and sure enough, i flip back to the game in time to see Tampa win in OT 6-5. not exactly sure where the best defense in the playoffs has gone to. i got the feeling that they thought they could out run and gun Tampa. i would agree with that theory if Rick Nash was scoring goals, let alone all the other fuckers on the team that have done nothing. i'll go ahead and say that Game 4 on Friday is a MUST WIN situation. there's no fucking chance in hell they are coming back from being down 3-1 in this series.

by the way, the Yankees blew their lead and lost 3-2. they are off again tonight. they play at home on Friday against Texas.

thankfully, the wrestling last night was excellent. Lucha Underground had another solid show with a true HOLY SHIT moment. enjoy the highlights:

NXT Takeover: Unstoppable was good and then HOLY SHIT great. here's how it started:
a couple of solid matches later and then the ladies stole the show:
and then a brutal (in a good way) main event that had a nice holy shit moment at the end:
as i have seen stated all over the place, having Samoa Joe in NXT is a game changer. he is one of the best workers of ALL time. and to dream of the matches he could have with some of the wrestlers down there is mind boggling. after watching the show i can completely understand why so many guys on the main roster are a bit jealous of just how damn good the product is down at NXT. last night was easily worth the $9.99 a month.

thankfully, i was able to watch all of David Letterman's final show. i was happy that the show went out with a unforgettable last show. here are some of the numerous highlights as i think the show went nearly 30 minutes longer than normal:
what an amazing show. good thing i taped the two shows after it so i got all of the final show. it is certainly something i will never forget. hopefully everyone involved in the show understands how important the show was to all of us. it will be missed.

i probably didn't get to bed until around 3 in the morning. so, of course i would be up at 7:30. i suppose i'll catch up on my sleep when i die. but, while i was up today i typed up those 6 poems. my gut feeling was correct, i've got some winners in this batch. always a good sign when i pulled a dead father memory out of my head from back when i was 9 years old. i got a feeling i'll be writing about all that shit for years on end. hopefully i will crank a few more poems out over the holiday weekend and then get some submissions ready for June.

on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle, The Comedians and Louie.

that's all for me today. i'm going to go try to ease my aching bones in a hot shower. and if that doesn't work, i always have a shotgun.

no need to panic. my arms aren't long enough.

let the storm clouds roll in...

i woke up this morning to the news that B.B. King had died. not exactly how i would like to start a Friday morning. blues music is one of the things that has allowed me to escape this world as much as anything on this fucking planet. so, as you might imagine, i've been listening to a ton of music today:

and since i was in such a great mood, i typed up the three poems i needed to this afternoon. i think they are pretty good and honest but i'm a little biased. i have no clue when i will send them out. maybe closer to Father's Day. i'm sure someone will be looking for dead dad poems around that time.

mom and i went over to the farm today for the first time since it was sold. there was still 8 cats that were there. they followed me around, just knowing i had some food for them. imagine their surprise when i didn't. they have to be eating something. of course, last time i was there there was 15 cats.

after that we had lunch at Waffle House. i only recommend this if you just happen to need a huge amount of grease in your belly at the moment.

the New York Yankees lost again last night, 6-1. i didn't bother to watch much of the game. after they got behind big early and had yet another injury to a pitcher, i decided i'd just watch basketball instead. the Yankees play tonight in Kansas City. not exactly the best place to try to end a losing streak.

thankfully, the shows last night were good. The Comedians was pretty funny. Louie was a fucking riot. and once again, Lip Sync Battle was way better than it should have been:

i watched all of Late Show with David Letterman last night. it was great:
try to not have that song stuck in your head for the rest of your life.

here's some more funny shit from last night:

as you might imagine, i didn't sleep much last night. plus, add in this damn weather and i'm pretty much just a cranky bastard at the moment.

i have no clue what i'm going to watch tonight. this might be the night to catch up on the DVR.

i'll probably be on here in the morning tomorrow. Saturday is going to be another busy one. between the NHL playoffs, horse racing, soccer and god knows what else... the morning will be the only time i won't be busier than nine cats covering up shit in a wind storm.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. only fuck the ones that cough.

i'll probably die one day because of this

if you didn't watch Game 7 last night, you missed out on a great conclusion to one of the better playoff series in the last decade or so. here's a long winded recap of the game:
so The King started off strong:
then, of course, Ovechkin scored to give Washington a 1-0 lead. that would last until the second period when this happened:
and just so everyone knew this was a real hockey game:
the 1-1 score stayed the same for all of the 3rd period and the first 10 minutes of overtime. Washington had a ton of chances in those 10 minutes, but The King was standing on his head tonight. and then, ecstasy:
from the Canadian broadcast:
and then every New York Rangers fan, including this one, could be like this:
watch as Mr. Guarantee (Ovechkin) tries to get through the handshake line as fast as possible:
what a fucking win. the Rangers become the first NHL team EVER to come back from 3-1 deficits in the playoffs in consecutive years. that is also their 14th straight one goal game in the playoffs. also, first time the Rangers scored a Game 7 OT goal since 1994 (the last year they won the Stanley Cup). here's some more highlights from the game:
they will play Tampa in the Eastern Conference Finals starting on Saturday afternoon.

after that game, i broke out the hard shit. a couple ice cubes, some whiskey, some cola and laughing while watching Capitals players cry. i know that makes me an evil prick, but i'm not afraid of that label, so i might as well fucking enjoy it.

the New York Yankees started off strong again last night. got some more decent pitching, but once again, forgot that they have to score more than just in the first inning. 3-2 loss to Tampa. they will look to split the series tonight.

amazingly, i also caught NXT and Lucha Underground last night. both episodes were good. here's a couple of clips:
it's amazing at how much i enjoy both of these shows more than i do Monday Night Raw most weeks.

here's some late night laughs to clean your pallet:

as for tonight, i guess i'll watch some playoff basketball and then Lip Sync Battle, The Comedians, and Louie. plus, i believe Tom Waits is supposed to be on Letterman tonight, so i'll definitely be watching that. that might end up on the DVR as well.

i was home alone for most of the day but i was so damn spent from last night, i didn't do much of anything. i broke out the vacuum, fed the birds and repaired one of the solar lights. duct tape, my old friend. other than that, read the paper and watched porn. good times.

here's some more laughs for you:

not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i believe my sister is coming down tonight before she goes on vacation. not like i'm in the loop with what actually goes on with this family.

maybe tomorrow i'll type up some poems. that sounds like a plan.

hope this finds everyone in good spirits. unless you happen to live in Washington D.C., which had one of the worst sports nights last night in a long time. (they deserve it.)

finally, the weekend, a cold front and a glass of lemonade

it's in the upper 80's as i'm writing this. for all you dumb fucks that don't believe in global warming, why do we only have two seasons anymore? hot and cold. when it's in the 80's before noon, truly, fucking ridiculous.

i woke up this morning with an upset stomach. perfect for this kind of weather. after 3 shits before 10 in the morning, i decided today would be a good day to clean the toilets.

found out the other auction at the farm will be June 3rd. so, hopefully i make a little money on my shit out there (truck, basketball hoop, etc.).

the New York Yankees got some more good pitching and just enough offense last night to win 4-3. A-Rod hit his 661st home run of his career, passing Willie Mays. hopefully they can get another winning streak going tonight.

The Big Bang Theory was great last night. i always enjoy a good cliffhanger.

Louie was obviously a episode written while stoned. it was amazingly fucked up. The Comedians was pretty dark as well.

once again, Lip Sync Battle was way better than it should have been:
that show is twisted and such a nice release of all the week's bullshit.

here's some other funny shit from last night:

and now, a musical break:

my sister is down here tonight to work some event in downtown Dayton. i think she's coming back here afterwards. tonight is truly do or die for the New York Rangers. they have backed themselves into a corner now, being down 3-1. that's really where all my attention will be tonight.

i suppose i will be on here tomorrow after Manchester United (hopefully) ends their losing streak.

i'm off to go take a shower and maybe start my laundry once the sun finally goes down.

hope everyone has a great weekend. it's supposed to rain here i believe. i guess that's one way to keep these fuckers from mowing their grass nearly every fucking day.

the more things change...

mom decided she didn't want to go to the farm auction last night. i think she was scared that the stepsons that haven't had anything to do with her for a decade or so now were going to show up and start trouble. that made me laugh. i wonder why i always think the negative first when it comes to any situation. when the auction guy came to the new house after the auction, he gave mom the news. come my mother's 62nd birthday, she will more or less be debt free. i won't give the amount of the final bid, but let's just say the farm sold for a very good price. the only thing the buyer asked was what we were going to do with the cats. i told the guy that i wasn't going to feed them anymore. sort of sad, considering there was 2 new kittens yesterday when i fed them. so, if anyone in the area wants some cats, feel free to contact me and i'll point you in the right direction. i guess we're going to do a small auction at the farm for the lawn tractor, my truck, the old jukebox, pinball machine, etc, etc. i'll be thrilled if i can get anything for that truck. thankfully, there's a more than likely chance i'll end up with a vehicle at least made in this century. good times.

that was just about where the good news for me ended yesterday.

the New York Rangers lost 2-1 to fall behind 3-1 in their series with Washington. that makes 11 straight 1 goal games in the playoffs. truly fucking ridiculous. they are now in the same situation they were in last season. i highly doubt anyone's mother is going to die this season, so they are going to have to find some other motivation. it's truly pointless because they have forgot one of the basic principles of playoff hockey. will always beats skill. the Rangers simply aren't willing to pay the price right now. and if that doesn't change rather quickly, this will be 1992 all over again.

the New York Yankees lost 5-1 last night to a pitcher that hadn't beat them in 11 years. one of those nights i guess. they are back at home tonight to start a series with Baltimore.

thankfully, the pro wrestling was great last night.

NXT is truly one of the best wrestling shows around. it's worth getting the WWE Network just for it alone. here's some highlights from last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. and i finally found the place to get my Lucha Underground shirt as well. here's the highlights from last night:

i think the bone spurs in my right ankle are now creeping into my heel. truly fucking wonderful.

at least the A/C is helping me sleep a little better at night.

i wrote a poem yesterday. just a quick one that i typed up today. not sure when i will send it out.

talked to a guy that works at the post office today. i guess our mail forwarding request finally got worked through the system yesterday. so, hopefully all the mail will start ending up at the new house.

here's a little laughter break from last night:

and now a music break as i go take a piss:

come on, you know you enjoyed that visual.

mom and i are going to the grocery store once she gets done with her calls for the day. i told her we probably should go today since my sister is coming down tomorrow night. we don't really have much in the house at the moment.

tonight i'll be watching the season finale of The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians, Louie, and Lip Sync Battle. hopefully, it will be a night of laughs.

i hope everyone is doing good. the weather is still way too warm for this time of year. of course, if i could tan and weighed 100 lbs. less, i'd love this fucking weather. i don't even get that lucky in my dreams. oh well, until we meet again...

welcome to may

i'm not quite sure i'm over the heartbreaking hockey game from last night. i've tried music, other shit on television, drinking, sleep, a fucking shower... and i'm still thinking how the fuck can the New York Rangers give up the winning goal with 1.3 seconds left in the game. i suppose a better question really is, why the fuck was Dan Boyle on the ice at the end of the game to begin with? i mean i love the guy, he went to college with my sister, but he's clearly not one of the top d men on the team. and secondly, how the fuck do the refs miss the hit on Boyle that caused the turnover to begin with? i guess in the playoffs, player safety applies until the refs decide it doesn't. anyways, i really hope this was the wake up call the Rangers needed and come out tomorrow and win game 2. a good way to start is by recognizing that guy wearing #8 for Washington is one of the best players on the planet and someone should be on him at all fucking times. take away his time and space and frustrate the living shit out of him. it's painfully fucking obvious that whatever the fuck the game plan for game 1 was didn't work. sure, it was only a 2-1 loss, but the losing team was the rested team that looked like they had just got finished with a grueling 7 game series with a rival. and before i step off this soapbox... Krieder and Miller, shake it off and keep playing the way you play. Marty St. Louis.. WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU? Rick Nash... PLEASE WAKE THE FUCK UP AND BE THE GREAT PLAYER YOU ARE. that is all.

the shit on television was good last night. The Big Bang Theory was excellent. Louie was fucking great. The Comedians was sneaky funny this week. the show keeps getting better. and lastly, Lip Sync Battle was once again, much better than it should have been:

i was happy with what the New Orleans Saints did in the NFL Draft yesterday. they have an aging QB, so they went out and got a big Tackle to protect him. smart move. with their second pick, they got a middle linebacker that will compete for a starting job immediately. he's a good tackler and the defense stunk last season, so good move. here are videos of the players:
hopefully they will get 3 more players to fill some holes tonight. i wouldn't mind a couple more defenders and a WR.

the New York Yankees start a series in Boston tonight. i'll probably check that out at some point to take a nap.

i've been hunting music most of today. here's a local band that i'm really starting to get into. ladies and gentlemen, please enjoy Able Danger:

i also got some music on NoiseTrade today. i'll put some links down below in the music section.

and in case you need a smile on your face today, enjoy:

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i might try early in the morning. or it could be real late at night. tomorrow is one of the greatest sports clusterfucks i can ever remember. between the NFL Draft, New York Rangers game 2, Manchester United playing at the same time, Yankees up in Boston, a little thing called the Kentucky Derby, a Game 7 in the NBA playoffs and then the biggest boxing match in the last decade or more. you can see why i might be a little pressed for time.

i hope everyone enjoys the weekend. if you are betting on the horses, i like Dortmund to win the Kentucky Derby. if i am wrong, please forget it. if i get it right, i will remind everyone.

what to do when odd phrases hit you at 2 in the morning while taking a piss

welcome to the 24th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm shining a light on the poet Paul Tristram. i have become aware of Paul's work in the last few years and i am very impressed. hopefully in the next few links, you'll find something you enjoy as well:
http://paultristram.blogspot.co.uk/

http://www.horrorsleazetrash.com/poetry/paul-tristram-8/
http://poppyroadreview.blogspot.com/2015/02/a-strange-day-living-without-you-again.html

while on the topic of poetry, the title of this blog represents exactly what happened to me last night. i would mention what the phrase was but i won't. you can read it when the poem gets published. i ended up writing 3 poems last night/this morning. i really like them after i typed them up. i will probably squeeze out a submission here in the next few days.

mom and i took another load of shit to Goodwill today. slowly but surely, the garage and farm are getting cleaned out. tomorrow morning i have to drive down south of town and have 9 boxes of papers get shredded. that will certainly clean some more room out.

the shows last night were excellent. The Big Bang Theory was very good. Lip Sync Battle was ok, although i couldn't help but laugh at Mike Tyson:
The Comedians was fucking hilarious last night. i think that was the best show so far. Louie was uncomfortable. that isn't a bad thing. i love that Louie does a show that doesn't have you laugh at every fucking second.

and then this made me laugh:

the New York Yankees start a series at home tonight with the Mets. i would be watching all of it, but a certain hockey team is playing tonight.

the New York Rangers have a chance tonight to close out the Penguins. i'm hoping they take advantage of this chance tonight and get it done. if they do, it will be in the exact number of games i picked before the playoffs started, 5. that will have nearly all of my attention tonight.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone has a wonderful weekend planned. it's going to fucking rain here, so no wonderful in the forecast for me anytime soon.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

drinking myself to sleep

welcome to the 23rd day of National Poetry Month. today, we're back to the random YouTube videos. enjoy:

the New York Rangers started like absolute shit last night. they got dominated at every aspect of the game. thankfully, they were only down 1-0. i guess AV lit a fire in the first intermission and the boys responded. they tied the game and eventually got it to overtime. and then, Kevin Hayes scored the biggest goal of his life:
that win gives the Rangers a 3-1 series lead and the chance to finish off the Penguins on Friday at MSG. here are the highlights from the game:

Lucha Underground was great last night. even if you are not a fan of pro wrestling, you'd be entertained. enjoy:

NXT was excellent last night as well. 2 matches really had me excited:

the New York Yankees made me look like a fool and absolutely whipped one of the best pitchers in the American League last night, 13-4. they go for the series win this afternoon before they start a weekend series against the Mets.

got some great music on NoiseTrade last night. i'll be sure to include the link in the music section below.

here's some things that made me laugh last night:

tonight on the television docket will be some playoff hockey, The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians, Louie and Lip Sync Battle. the DVR will be busy.

i did catch up on Deadliest Catch last night while enjoying my victory beers. yet another excellent episode. i feel for Edgar on the Northwestern, having a bad back fucking sucks.

that's all for me today. i'm hoping the weather is going to get warmer. but, seeing that it got down to 28 degrees last night, i highly doubt it.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

and then the sun came out...

welcome to the 17th day of National Poetry Month. today, i'm going to shine a bright light on a great poet and a man i consider a friend, Alan Catlin. truly one of the better poets around. and he's been around my friends. dig into some of these links, BUY some books, and truly enjoy one of the finer ones that has ever come around.

my sister stayed for over 3 hours with my father and family she forgot she had yesterday. she also met my father's wife for the last 10 years, her sister, etc. etc. i guess my sister did set the story straight to my father's wife on why the divorce happened, why we never came around, etc. etc. knowing my father, i can wisely guess that he told his wife that my mom turned us kids against him and we wanted nothing to do with him even though he did all these things for us over the years. my father believed that all he needed to do was provide a roof and food. anything else was my mother's job and she had to pay for it. my father gladly worked over 80 hours a week for over 30 years. gee, i can't imagine why he's on the verge of death at the age of 68. of course, my sister tells me he's not as close as we were let on by his sister. he is eating. he is talking. my sister got the room number in case i wanted to go. i told her i would go to the funeral and help put dirt on the grave.

the New York Rangers got their playoffs off to a great start last night scoring just 28 seconds in:
they scored again on the power play and then held on for the rest of the game for a 2-1 win. 15 more wins to go boys. here are some highlights from the game:

the New York Yankees are playing as i type this. i was hoping to get this done before the game started but sometimes, life gets in the way. i believe A-Rod has homered again, so hopefully i'll be enjoying a victory beer later tonight.

mom and i went out today to get some frames and other shit for all of the memorabilia i have here at the house. so, for the first time in my life, i'll actually get to display all of it. when i do get all of that up, i'll take some pictures. it's going to look fucking insane, trust me.

the shows last night were really good. The Big Bang Theory was hilarious. Louie was fucking great. any show that starts off with a guy shitting his pants is a winner. The Comedians was really funny. and then, suddenly becoming my guilty pleasure, Lip Sync Battle. this show is more funny than it should be. enjoy:

tonight is going to be mostly flipping between baseball and playoff hockey games. and maybe i'll get around to eating dinner sometime soon.

i wasn't thrilled when i found out this morning that Manchester United has 4 new injuries. especially when that news is announced the day before they play at Chelsea. i'll be on here tomorrow after that game. i'm not expecting to be in a good mood.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone had a great Friday and is fucking ready for the weekend.

one of those days where all people suck

before i get to another wonderful rant...

welcome to the 16th day of National Poetry Month. we are back to me being lazy and just posting three random YouTube videos. enjoy:

i went over to the farm today to get done what mom didn't want to do yesterday. some fucking genius locked both locks to the door that i have only the key for the deadbolt. just what i needed. my blood pressure flying through the roof and my anger to the point where killing anything would be justified in my mind. i'm going to head back over and try the other doors with mom's keys after she gets done with her work call.

my sister decided to go see my father. i haven't heard how that adventure went. i decided doing my laundry was more important.

Lucha Underground was excellent once again last night. here are some highlights:

NXT was good but a little short last night. the main event though was very good and entertaining:

the NHL playoffs got off to a very entertaining start. hopefully the New York Rangers will have an easier time with it tonight against Pittsburgh. i have the Rangers winning in 5 games. hopefully i'm wrong and they do it in four.

the Yankees lost another series last night- 7-5. sadly, the oldest guy on the team is the only one really hitting at the moment. plus, since the starters can't go very long it seems, the bullpen is getting used way too much this early. thankfully, they are off tonight. they start a series in that dump in Tampa on Friday.

i did watch most of the team USA friendly with Mexico last night. the field was absolutely horrendous. but, i did enjoy another dos a cero classic. here are the goals:

at least i got to enjoy one victory beer last night.

tonight on the DVR will be The Big Bang Theory, The Comedians and Louie. i will hopefully watch all those after a Rangers victory tonight.

that's all for me today. there's another storm rolling in, so my body is aching like a motherfucker. enjoy the visual.

hope this finds everyone naked and wondering why the magic markers are where they are.

bring on the weekend

what do you mean it's not supposed to rain again until Monday?

welcome to the 10th day of National Poetry month. today, i want to shine a little light on the YouTube channel Spoken Verse. i have been a fan of this channel for years. the videos are good and the voice over for the poems is excellent. here are a few videos for you:
do yourself a favor and subscribe to this channel.

i didn't watch much of the Yankees game last night. i guess CC had one bad inning and just like last year, the offense couldn't overcome it. a 6-3 loss to lose the series to the Blue Jays. tonight, the Red Sox come to town. you'd think i'd be all geeked up for a game against the rivals. seeing that the game starts in a few minutes, i really couldn't give a shit. i suppose if i need another nap, i'll watch a few innings.

the New York Rangers started off great after receiving the President's Trophy. but once Ottawa scored 2 goals pretty quickly in the second period, the Rangers decided to play the game like it was a scrimmage. don't get anyone hurt. so they lost 3-0. they play again tomorrow afternoon in Washington. another game that won't mean shit. at this point, i just want to know who they will face in the playoffs.

my fantasy hockey championship match has taken a turn for the worse. i have no clue how i'm going to pull this one out. i haven't given up hope, but it looks like second place once again.

The Big Bang Theory was good last night. Louie and The Comedians were really good as well. and Lip Sync Battle was certainly better than it should have been:

tonight on the DVR will be the latest episode of Vice on HBO. best news show on television.

i had to take mom to the doctor this morning. she was on a call for her job on the drive to the doctor. so, i had no music to listen to. that made for an interesting battle with pain. she didn't break anything, thankfully. after that, we loaded up some more shit from the farm and took it to Goodwill. now (hopefully) all that is left goes either in the trash or to the new house. i suppose we are now in the final stretch.

that's all for me today. the storms are gone until Monday. the power went out for like 15 seconds yesterday. it also knocked out the phone and internet for a few hours. our neighbor said that hardly ever happens over here. i told mom it was clearly obvious that we brought the ghosts with us.

hope everyone has a great weekend. get drunk and go fuck something that coughs.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

another day, another storm

it's a damn good thing i don't have arthritis and feel tremendous pain when it rains. oh, that's right. i live in reality. and these old bones are screaming for the relief that death will bring. good times.

welcome to the 9th day of National Poetry Month. today. i'm putting a light on the poet Justin Hyde. i know Justin a little. i've always been a fan of his writing. if you are not familiar with it, here's a few places to help you get to know it:

and after you read that, do yourself a favor and go BUY his book, An Elephant Hole
http://www.amazon.com/Elephant-Hole-Justin-Hyde/dp/0981660630/

the New York Yankees were kind enough to come back late last night and get a victory so i could have a victory beer. i figure this is how the whole season is going to be. if they are going to win, it's going to be ugly. but, a 4-3 win is a win. they go for the series win tonight.

also tonight, the New York Rangers play their last regular season game at home against Ottawa. Ottawa is desperate for points, so it would be really nice to see the Rangers put a HUGE dent in their playoff plans. the Rangers are resting a few key players, but the best team in the NHL has played the whole damn season missing someone important each night it seems. plus, a victory tonight will set all kinds of franchise records for the Rangers. and of course, the game is on at the same time as the Yankees. as usual, hockey will win out.

i had 11 out of the 12 choices on The Voice correct last night. Blake was the only one who messed up my perfect score. the shows from now on should be really damn good.

NXT was really good last night. it showed a ton of footage from behind the scenes at WrestleMania. and the matches were top notch as well. here's some highlights from the main event last night:

Lucha Underground was excellent last night as well. i wish more wrestling shows were like it. here are some highlights:

i do plan on watching The Big Bang Theory tonight. of course, the weather might throw a few wrenches into that plan. on the DVR tonight will be Lip Sync Battle and the new episodes of The Comedians and Louie on FX.

mom and i are planning on going to the grocery store here in a few minutes. it seems like most of my poetry these days is coming from there. hopefully tonight will be more of the same. plus, if it's raining, that's a good chance for my imagination to go wild with the "wet" look. good times.

that's all for me today. i hope it is dry and the skies are a little less violent wherever you are.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

peace and chicken grease...

revenge is sweet

roughly about 45 minutes after i posted on this blog yesterday, i went outside to feed the cats. and while doing so, i threw my back out. nothing quite like being frozen in pain while the cats are looking at you like, put the food in the bowl fat ass. i eventually made it back inside, slowly. and since it was mom's birthday, i went into town to get the mail. thank god for adrenaline. i iced it down some yesterday and was hoping that a good night of sleep was going to help. lets just say i'll be doing some more ice today.

when the USA scored 34 seconds into the match yesterday against Ghana, i was thrilled, shocked, and pissed at the same time. pissed because i know how this team operates. they were going to try to defend for the next 90 minutes. sadly, that's pretty much what they did. when Ghana tied the score, i figured getting a point out of this game would be good enough. when the USA scores in the 86th minute and the adrenaline starts flowing through my veins again, it was at the top of my lungs screaming, DEFEND FOR YOUR LIVES BOYS. and they did. to FINALLY beat Ghana is some sweet revenge. considering they have to play Germany next and most likely will be eliminated after that game, is even sweeter. the USA next plays an injured and suspended Portugal team. the USA has injuries as well. and that game is in the middle of the jungle. a draw would most likely get the USA into a great spot for getting out of the group. a win, especially if Germany wins the day before, gets the USA out of the group of death. i will be hoping for a win on Sunday.

also yesterday, Germany destroyed Portugal 4-0. helps that Pepe lost his mind once again. Portugal was losing 2-0 at the time. hopefully Portugal feels sorry for themselves come Sunday. in the first goalless draw of the tournament, Nigeria and Iran did their best to put me to sleep. if my back wouldn't have been killing me, i might have actually got to sleep.

today's action is Belgium vs. Algeria. (Belgium is my sleeper team for the World Cup). Russia plays South Korea. and in the game of the day, Mexico plays Brazil. given that many of these players faced off in the Olympics when Mexico beat Brazil for the gold medal, i would think Brazil will be looking for a little revenge today. might watch that game in Spanish.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. helped that the adrenaline from the USA win was still pumping inside me while i was watching. love that they are giving some of the younger talent more of a push now.

Louie had an excellent season finale last night. could have gone without seeing some male ass in the episode, but oh well. another excellent season.

tonight is a Tanaka Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. they start a series with Toronto, who is 4 1/2 games ahead of them in the division. a pretty big series for June. i'll be watching that until Deadliest Catch comes on. quite honestly, all my viewing tonight depends on how my back feels.

hope this finds everyone well. and in better health than me.

until we meet again my friends...

been waiting 4 years for this day

today is a day for revenge. today is a day i wish i was in Brazil. today is a day where the USA begins the journey to shock the world. i have waited 4 years to watch them have a chance to get back at Ghana for knocking them out of the last 2 World Cups. and, if they want ANY chance of getting out of the group of death, they MUST win today.

needless to say, i will be a little wired for today's game.

starting off the action today will be the juicy affair between Portugal and Germany. and before the USA plays, Iran takes on Nigeria. should be (hopefully) a great day.

yesterday was some great games at the World Cup. Switzerland scored the latest goal ever in group play (20 seconds left in the 93rd minute) to defeat Ecuador 2-1. France beat Honduras 3-0. helps that Honduras was down to 10 men for the entire second half. Argentina was sort of blah for most of the game, and then Messi had a moment of magic. Argentina wins 2-1. they will need to play much better to get to where they want to get to in this World Cup.

the Yankees decided they wanted to end their road trip early and basically didn't show up for most of the game yesterday in Oakland. they eventually lost 10-5. they were down 6 by the third inning. thank god i didn't waste much time on that game. they are off tonight.

i didn't watch much of the NBA Finals last night either. i didn't miss much.

the shows last night were excellent. Nurse Jackie was great. Californication reminded me that i have no adult friends that live near me. Penny Dreadful was spectacular last night. one of the best episodes of the season. Last Week Tonight had me laughing the entire 30 minutes. can't wait to next week.

tonight, the soccer should be over in time for me to flip to Monday Night Raw. and then, at some point tonight i'll try to catch Louie. this might be the season finale, not sure. haven't been keeping track. hopefully i will be watching while having some victory beers.

gave mom her birthday gifts this morning. she loved them, as i hoped she would.

the weather is supposed to get oppressive here this week. temps in the 90's with humidity. oh joy. i guess i'll find out this week how dumb the cats really are. and hopefully the air conditioner doesn't go out.

that's all for me today. i made it through all of yesterday without writing about my father. mission accomplished.

hope this finds everyone well. enjoy the day.

hello depression, my name is...

on top of feeling down today, for some fucking reason, my internet was out for nearly 3 hours this afternoon. i didn't bother to call the clowns at Frontier Communications, for i know damn well they wouldn't have a fucking clue what the problem would be. they never do. the only way i realized it did pop back on was the breaking news alert i got of another school shooting. ah, welcome to America.

last night was what i really feared in the series between the Rangers and the Kings. given that the Rangers have a tendency to not finish around the net when they really need to, if the Kings clamped down on defense we would be fucking screwed. and sure enough, last night the Kings played defense. Quick was amazing in net for them as well. Kings win 3-0 to take a 3-0 lead in the series. if i had to make a bet, i would wager that this series is over on Wednesday. of course, i've thought the Rangers were dead before in these playoffs. sadly, the thought is slowly becoming reality. but i won't shave off the playoff beard until it is over.

at least the Yankees were rained out last night. less misery for me to endure. they play tonight in Seattle. that will be on late enough that i can watch all of Deadliest Catch before it will begin.

Monday Night Raw was pretty damn good last night. i feel bad for Daniel Bryan. he's not recovering as fast as hoped, so he got stripped of the title last night. hopefully he has saved his money well in case he can't come back. i do like where the Seth Rollins vs. The Shield feud is going. the more Dean Ambrose can be on the mic, the better. case in point:

Louie was absolutely great last night. brought back some memories for me in school. and absolutely made me thankful that i don't have children. i highly recommend it. check it out if you get a chance.

other than Deadliest Catch tonight and some baseball, i imagine i'll flip on the NBA Finals at some point. probably the last 5 minutes if the game is close. that's really all you need to watch of a pro basketball game.

figured out the 3 new kittens belong to my cat Robin. so, Batman and Robin both had kittens in the last 3 weeks or so. isn't that cute. anybody want some fucking cats?

as you might imagine, there was a ton of music listened to today with the internet down.

hope this finds everyone well. a big happy birthday to my high school love. stay beautiful my friend.

i'll be on here tomorrow, hopefully, in the afternoon. feigning positive thoughts about the upcoming Game 4. at least if the Rangers get swept, hockey will be over before the World Cup starts. and i'll have a few pounds less of hair on my face.

peace and chicken grease my enemies...

the start of another week

today has been a cloudy and gloomy mess. doesn't exactly give me a great feeling for tonight.

mom decided to do some car pooling today so she drove me to the bank. i didn't mind, as i'm low on gas anyway. made my deposit without any drama this time. i believe the teller had to be new as she was way too nice. my mom's bank is a long ass drive from mine, so there was plenty of music listening and commenting on how bad this area has got since our childhoods. after that, drove back to town to get the mail and some lunch. got some great fanzines in the mail from my friend in Sweden, Janne Karlsson. check out his site
http://www.svenskapache.se/.

i did write one poem yesterday. i got a line stuck in my head in the afternoon and by 10 pm, the words were flowing. i'm proud that i was able to multi-task as i was watching Penny Dreadful at the time. typed the poem up this afternoon and i like it. i suppose i'll find out how good it is when i send it out.

the shows last night were excellent. Nurse Jackie was good and ended with a little mystery. Californication was great once again. Penny Dreadful blew me away last night. it filled in plenty of the back story and some questions about the main characters. just pure fucking brilliant. Veep was hilarious. two excellent episodes to end the season. and Last Week Tonight was great. the piece on the World Cup and FIFA was fucking brilliant.

tonight will be a crazy night of television. all starting at the same time will be the New York Rangers MUST WIN Game 3 at home; the Yankees game in Kansas City, and Monday Night Raw. talk about a night i need the Elvis wall of televisions. needless to say hockey will get most of my attention for the evening.

and at some point i need to figure out how to squeeze in a new episode of Louie as well.

the Yankees were horrific yesterday, going 1 for 17 with runners in scoring position. they lost 2-1. totally pissed away a great outing from Kuroda. i doubt they will win tonight to split the series.

i expect MSG to be crazy tonight. and the first time the refs fuck up, the place will probably explode. i'm really hoping the Rangers win tonight as i don't want to wait another 20 years for a chance to win the Stanley Cup.

i found 3 more kittens today. i have no fucking clue who the mother is as these 3 were sitting outside, all balled up. i'm going to go back out there before dark and hopefully figure out who they belong to. i think they may be Cookie's but that is simply a guess.

had another weird day on iTunes. my brain continues to amaze me.

that's all for today. hope the case of the fucking Mondays eluded you today. i'll be on here tomorrow, probably in the afternoon. hopefully with that taste of a victory beer on my lips.

be well my enemies. peace...

a sleepy day under the fan

one of the joys of not getting much sleep at night is the afternoon nap that comes out of nowhere. i believe i lost a few hours this afternoon sleeping in my chair. oh well, just means i'll be up later tonight.

the Yankees dropped another turd last night, losing 10-2.  they start a series with the A's tonight. this smells like a sweep coming on. hopefully, and soon, the team finds rock bottom so they can start to rise. nothing worse than watching overpaid guys who don't give a shit.

Monday Night Raw was painful for most of the night. not many good segments at all. and then the last 10 minutes happened. i always love when something happens that i didn't see coming. Seth Rollins turning heel would be right up there. that was a great holy shit moment. and the beat down of his former partners was vicious. saved the whole show in my eyes and sets up for an interesting summer.

i am all caught up on Louie now. all 4 episodes i watched last night were really good.

other than napping today, most of today was spent reading emails (when the fuck did i get this popular) and watching the media day festivities for the Stanley Cup Final. the butterflies are starting to form for that tomorrow. i will be beyond pumped up for that.

tonight will be as little of the Yankees as i can stand and some Deadliest Catch.

saw a rough cut of the work Janne Karlsson and i have done. it looks fucking spectacular.

sometime tonight or early tomorrow, i need to figure out where i am sending the poems i set aside the other night. i believe i have to find 1 more to add to the bunch to be able to send to everywhere i want to. most likely 5 places in all. all that will be done by Friday at the latest.

i will be on here probably early afternoon tomorrow. i'm setting aside a ton of time to get my mind right before the Stanley Cup Final begins. i haven't truly given a shit about one of these in 20 years. and i'm certainly not 18 anymore. it's mostly trying to make sure i don't keel over and die while watching the games. my devotion runs that deep, yes. so, for the next 2 weeks, if i'm in a shitty mood and you can't figure out why, please assume that the New York Rangers aren't doing as well as i would have liked.

hope everyone had a great day. or maybe your day was like this:

be well. be creative. be more dirty than your imagination...

peace
