thankfully, this blog saves itself every couple minutes, so if the shit hits the fan, i shouldn't lose anything. i got the shopping i had to do today done before this storm hit. i actually found some Clorox spray and Lysol spray today. i'm guessing i happened to hit the stores right when they got stocked. those purchases certainly made my mother happy. now, i get to go out tomorrow yet again to pick her pills that are ready. they weren't supposed to be ready until next week. joy.
i wrote 2 poems last night. i was going to try to squeeze out more, but i didn't have it in me to stay up until dawn again. i typed up the 2 poems this morning and i really like them. i probably will do another writing session before i send out another round of submissions.
The Masked Singer was good last night. i finally figured out the Rhino with his last clues package.
What We Do in the Shadows was fucking hilarious last night.
NXT was very good last night.
AEW was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Total Bellas, Desus & Mero, Shelter in Place with Shane Smith and No Mercy No Malice with Professor Scott Galloway. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on WWE Network.
this rain is draining me. my arthritis is raging at the moment. good times.
i'll probably be on here tomorrow in the afternoon. if mom cuts me a check for the month so far, i'll go the bank before i pick up her pills. if not, i'll get the pills earlier and just shut it down for the weekend.
that's all for me kids.
until tomorrow...
stay healthy.

it feels like it is early March outside this morning. considering the "experts" are saying we might have some spotty frost overnight, this is going to be one of those bizarro days it seems.
the New York Yankees were facing one of the best pitchers in the majors last night. it showed. i think i quit watching the game somewhere around the 3rd inning. i didn't miss anything. the Yankees lost 7-1. they also had another injury last night. to say this team is fragile is an understatement. hopefully they will get back to winning this afternoon.
i did watch some of the Tampa Bay vs. Pittsburgh game last night. as soon as i saw Ryan Callahan (former Rangers captain) destroy Kris Letang on a vicious hit early in the first period, i smiled. i love a series where the hatred starts early. that means the longer the series goes, the more physical it will be. i don't believe Pittsburgh can win that type of game. last night was good evidence. Tampa lost their starting goalie and still won the game 3-1.
other than that last night, mom caught up on the last 3 Lip Sync Battles she's missed. she's not good at using the DVR, so i watched them again with her. good son, i know.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be ROH and Saturday Night Live.
i've got some poems swimming around my head, so with it supposed to be rainy on and off all day today, i figure i'll spend a good portion of the day writing.
i picked up some excellent FREE music at NoiseTrade this morning. i'll post the link below in the music section.
i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays. i'll know if they are going to finish in the Top 4 or not, so i'll be either very happy or venting tomorrow afternoon.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

if you didn't watch Game 7 last night, you missed out on a great conclusion to one of the better playoff series in the last decade or so. here's a long winded recap of the game:
so The King started off strong:
then, of course, Ovechkin scored to give Washington a 1-0 lead. that would last until the second period when this happened:
and just so everyone knew this was a real hockey game:
the 1-1 score stayed the same for all of the 3rd period and the first 10 minutes of overtime. Washington had a ton of chances in those 10 minutes, but The King was standing on his head tonight. and then, ecstasy:
from the Canadian broadcast:
and then every New York Rangers fan, including this one, could be like this:
watch as Mr. Guarantee (Ovechkin) tries to get through the handshake line as fast as possible:
what a fucking win. the Rangers become the first NHL team EVER to come back from 3-1 deficits in the playoffs in consecutive years. that is also their 14th straight one goal game in the playoffs. also, first time the Rangers scored a Game 7 OT goal since 1994 (the last year they won the Stanley Cup). here's some more highlights from the game:
they will play Tampa in the Eastern Conference Finals starting on Saturday afternoon.
after that game, i broke out the hard shit. a couple ice cubes, some whiskey, some cola and laughing while watching Capitals players cry. i know that makes me an evil prick, but i'm not afraid of that label, so i might as well fucking enjoy it.
the New York Yankees started off strong again last night. got some more decent pitching, but once again, forgot that they have to score more than just in the first inning. 3-2 loss to Tampa. they will look to split the series tonight.
amazingly, i also caught NXT and Lucha Underground last night. both episodes were good. here's a couple of clips:
it's amazing at how much i enjoy both of these shows more than i do Monday Night Raw most weeks.
here's some late night laughs to clean your pallet:
as for tonight, i guess i'll watch some playoff basketball and then Lip Sync Battle, The Comedians, and Louie. plus, i believe Tom Waits is supposed to be on Letterman tonight, so i'll definitely be watching that. that might end up on the DVR as well.
i was home alone for most of the day but i was so damn spent from last night, i didn't do much of anything. i broke out the vacuum, fed the birds and repaired one of the solar lights. duct tape, my old friend. other than that, read the paper and watched porn. good times.
here's some more laughs for you:
not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. i believe my sister is coming down tonight before she goes on vacation. not like i'm in the loop with what actually goes on with this family.
maybe tomorrow i'll type up some poems. that sounds like a plan.
hope this finds everyone in good spirits. unless you happen to live in Washington D.C., which had one of the worst sports nights last night in a long time. (they deserve it.)

i might have watched 30 seconds or so of The Voice. and maybe a minute or two of Monday Night Raw (which might continue to happen with no CM Punk) but nearly every damn second of game 7 between the New York Rangers vs. Washington Capitals.
the Caps came out on fire but The King stood on his head. and when the Rangers scored their first goal, i felt really damn good. when the second period onslaught came of 2 goals in about 2 minutes and the building was silent, i was beyond proud. and then to see the mass exodus when the Rangers added their 5th goal, i was down right giddy. Henrik Lundqvist became only the 4th goalie in playoff history to post shutouts in game 6 and 7. and the stat that made me really smile, Derick Brassard had more points in the series than Washington's top line combined. next up are the Boston Bruins. first time they have faced each other in 40 years in the playoffs. nothing like some good ole Boston vs. New York hate. highlights from last night are below.
this was also the first time in Rangers history they have won a game 7 on the road in the playoffs.
so after watching the press conferences and highlights and the end of the Memphis vs. Oklahoma City NBA playoff game, i watched the Big C. last night's episode really got to me as it brought back plenty of memories of when we took my stepfather to hospice.
then a quick check of my email and i get an instant message from a friend i hadn't heard from in almost a year. that eventually turned into a phone call that went to 4 am. so why i was up just 4 hours later is still a fucking mystery to me. i'll be off mowing grass here in a few hours. it's not going to be fun as parts of it is over a foot high.
and of course there's a chance for more rain in a few days. makes me think about the yard i saw in Fort Myers, Florida as a child. concrete painted green. oh how i wish.
