so, i got up at 3:30 this morning. i guess the nap i got in the afternoon rested me more than i thought. so, i was able to watch WWE Elimination Chamber live this morning. it was a better show than i was expecting to be honest. and that made it well worth my time.
and then came the Manchester United game. i was fearful that without their best striker they would struggle to score. sure enough. they were second best all fucking game to Fulham, a team they honestly should never lose to. they lost 2-1, after Harry Maguire equalized late in the game. United gave up the winner in the 97th minute. i wish i would have just chosen to go back to bed than watch that shit.
we got a glorified dusting of snow by the way.
here are your videos for this day of Black History Month:
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision, Saturday Night Live and Austin City Limits.
the New York Rangers play this afternoon at Philadelphia. they will hopefully get their 10th straight win today.
i'm sure i might watch some college basketball and soccer and hockey today while napping.
i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poem:
i woke up early this morning to watch Manchester United play. i had a good laugh when the guy doing color commentary said that Old Trafford is now called the Theater of Draws. sadly, the same shit that has gone on all season happened again today. United knew if they won their 5 remaining games, they would finish in the top 4 of the league, no matter what. so, knowing that, they went out and played like shit. if Rashford didn't con the fucking ref for that penalty call late in the first half, United would have lost today. and sadly, they would have deserved to. what a fucking waste. on top of all that, they have two new injuries to deal with as well. they play in Spain on Thursday (Europa League semi-finals) next and then get to play Arsenal on Sunday. joy.
the New York Yankees stayed hot yesterday and whipped Baltimore 12-4. they will go for the sweep today. i think this is the first time in 600 some days that they have been in first place in the division. they actually have the best record in baseball now. no one saw that coming.
the New York Rangers had a 4-2 lead going into the 3rd period yesterday. they had a 2 goal lead in the last 4 minutes of the game. so, you might imagine my anger, frustration and pure fucking venom after they lost 6-5 in 2OT. to watch Ottawa constantly outwork them time after time is beyond fucking frustrating. to watch AV bury players on the bench because he has his head up his ass is pushing me to the point of hoping he gets fired even if the Rangers somehow win this series. Brady Skjei was amazing yesterday, so of course he gets benched as they tried to sit on the lead late. whoops. the dumb fuck did the same thing against Montreal in Game 2. Game 3 is Tuesday back at MSG. that will be a MUST WIN game.
i wasn't pleased with who the New Orleans Saints chose with their only pick yesterday. i'm not sure taking a guy that got kicked out of college was the best thing they could have done. hopefully they did their homework and it won't be a wasted draft pick. overall, i think the Saints had a very good draft. they filled plenty of needs, especially on defense.
i did write 7 poems last night. i typed them up this morning. i really like a few of them. in total, i wrote 32 poems this month. so i met my goal of writing more poems than days in the month. hopefully i can keep that up.
ROH was excellent last night.
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was really good last night. the 3 hour broadcast flew by, which is always a good sign. i truly loved David Letterman's speech for Pearl Jam.

on the DVR tonight will be Veep, Silicon Valley, Guerrilla and Billions. i will be watching WWE Payback on WWE Network for most of the evening.
my buddy Sam Roberts is on the pre-show for WWE Payback tonight, so that should be entertaining.
i'm not sure if we're going to have more storms roll through here today or not. i know i have certainly had enough of the damn rain.
i will be on here sometime tomorrow after i take mom to her doctor's appointment.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

it feels like it is early March outside this morning. considering the "experts" are saying we might have some spotty frost overnight, this is going to be one of those bizarro days it seems.
the New York Yankees were facing one of the best pitchers in the majors last night. it showed. i think i quit watching the game somewhere around the 3rd inning. i didn't miss anything. the Yankees lost 7-1. they also had another injury last night. to say this team is fragile is an understatement. hopefully they will get back to winning this afternoon.
i did watch some of the Tampa Bay vs. Pittsburgh game last night. as soon as i saw Ryan Callahan (former Rangers captain) destroy Kris Letang on a vicious hit early in the first period, i smiled. i love a series where the hatred starts early. that means the longer the series goes, the more physical it will be. i don't believe Pittsburgh can win that type of game. last night was good evidence. Tampa lost their starting goalie and still won the game 3-1.
other than that last night, mom caught up on the last 3 Lip Sync Battles she's missed. she's not good at using the DVR, so i watched them again with her. good son, i know.

i've got some poems swimming around my head, so with it supposed to be rainy on and off all day today, i figure i'll spend a good portion of the day writing.
i picked up some excellent FREE music at NoiseTrade this morning. i'll post the link below in the music section.
i'll be on here tomorrow after Manchester United plays. i'll know if they are going to finish in the Top 4 or not, so i'll be either very happy or venting tomorrow afternoon.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday. call if you need bail money.

2015 will be remembered by me as the year my biggest obstacle to actually enjoying life finally left this earth. my father, his demons, and every little nugget of hate he poured into me finally had the chance to be erased from my brain when he died in late April. now i'm pretty sure it will take the rest of my life to un-fuck him from my brain, but at least the possibility of hope now exists. of course, i still haven't been to the graveside yet, so i'm not 100% sure that fucker is in the ground. and since the calls have stopped asking me to pay his bills, i am 100% sure that he left me absolutely nothing, if he even had a will. maybe when i turn 40 i'll have an exorcism and see if suddenly my life will turn around. it surely wouldn't hurt anything.
i will also remember 2015 as the year i left the farm i so dearly loved to move next door to the parents of the cousin that molested me. my mother did apologize to me the other day in a peculiar kind of way for never doing anything when i told her about what happened. of course, she did it while telling me that my sister is worried i'm going to kill her one day because she didn't do anything. i wasn't sure if i should take that as a compliment that my sister thinks i'm capable or be insulted that she thinks it's even possible. i would kill myself before i would kill any of my family, except maybe for a certain person or two.
and lastly, 2015 will be remembered as the year my writing and this blog took, what i would like to believe, is a giant leap forward. while i haven't been as prolific with my writing as in previous years, i do believe my writing is better. i attribute that to doing this everyday. it not only keeps my brain active, it also flushes out other things that eventually end up in poems. feel free to use the contact form to tell me otherwise.
now, onto the crazy happenings from last night...
when the Dayton Flyers were up by over 20 points early last night, i reminded myself that there is no fucking chance it's going to be this easy. when Arkansas was leading in the second half, i figured that Dayton would come back. when Dayton forgot to foul when up by 3 points with 4 seconds left and Arkansas hit the 3 to send the game to overtime, i was pretty sure Dayton was going to fucking lose this game. when Arkansas was up by 4 in OT, i was really worried. when Dayton kept missing foul shots after somehow getting the lead back, i was hoping they wouldn't piss away another lead. thankfully, they didn't. Dayton won 85-81 in OT. that was coach Archie Miller's 100th win at the school. Dayton is now 10-2 and start the A10 schedule this Saturday at Duquesne.
so while at Waffle House after the game, and this pretty much sums up my life, we were getting ready to leave and this stunning looking woman walked in. now stunning from where i live is someone who's probably a 6 or 7 in the regular world. i kept trying to make eye contact, but it never happened. i really need to get a damn vehicle so i can actually go places by myself again. rather, i need mom to get herself a new vehicle so i can have the one she has now.
we didn't get home until after midnight. i turned on the NHL Network to check out the New York Rangers highlights. much to my surprise, they beat Tampa last night 5-2. i was really, REALLY happy about that.
sick hands from Dom on that winning goal from last night.
i woke up this morning in plenty of time to catch team USA beat Denmark 4-1 in the World Juniors over in Finland. the New York Rangers goalie prospect Brandon Halverson started the game and was really solid in net. the boys finished in second place in the group. they will play the Czech Republic on Jan. 2nd. they have to win that game to advance to have the chance to bring home a medal.

the rest of today is going to be about football and drinking. i have a few victory beers to catch up on and the college football playoff is today. i have no clue who is going to win the national championship this year. since Ohio State isn't playing for it, i really don't care.
tomorrow is going to be a busy one as well. Ohio State plays Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.
the Winter Classic is also tomorrow, as the Boston Bruins take on the Montreal Canadiens outdoors in Boston. i always try to catch some of that.
so i imagine i'll be on here sometime tomorrow, maybe in the early evening. i always try to do some writing as well on the first day of a new year. of course, that usually happens in the early morning hours while drunk, so i might have an update for you by waiting to the evening to blog.
i hope everyone has a great night. if you have already celebrated 2016 coming in, i hope you are safe and happy. if you are planning on going out tonight to party, be safe, call if you need bail money. and if you are like me and have no one to celebrate the ball dropping with a kiss, grab a bottle of lotion and remember the time you were in a car in a public park at 6 in the morning with one of the most beautiful women that would ever talk back to you. that has worked for me for the last 18 years.
most of all, enjoy another year gone. soon we'll all be dead. might as well live it up while we're here.

i just got in from taking down the hummingbird feeders as the "experts" have us under a freeze warning for tonight into tomorrow morning. i figure something is coming as my back has been tight all day long. good times.
mom decided she could drive herself to the doctor's office today. given all the other places she had to go, it's probably best i didn't come along. hopefully the x-rays on her wrist come back good.
the New York Rangers lost last night to Montreal 3-0. both goalies put on a show last night. sometime in my lifetime, i truly wish that the Rangers will fix their fucking power play. it has been bad for as long as i can remember. needless to say, i watched more football last night than hockey.
the New Orleans Saints defeated Atlanta 31-21 to give the Falcons their first loss of the season. that was fun to watch. plus, my fantasy running back from Atlanta got me plenty of garbage points so i was twice as happy.

on the DVR tonight will be Undateable, NJPW and one of my favorite shows from last season, The Knick.
i figure i will watch some of the hockey game i was supposed to go to tonight. i can't imagine what my sister will be like with two kids there with her.
i'm going to be lazy and just do a video today for Flashback Friday. that being said, it's a favorite of mine:
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i will be on here tomorrow after the Manchester United game against Everton. i have no clue if i will be in a good mood or not.

i caught the weather forecast last night and thought oh shit, here comes everyone getting sick. it's been somewhat warm for the last week or so and now here comes a cold front and temps in the 40's and 50's. i'll enjoy the weather but i'm surrounded by old people. this is the weather they all detest. maybe some of them have places in warmer climates and they won't be around here. of course, that's most likely wishful thinking.
the New York Yankees continued their slide into pissing away a chance at the playoffs by losing to Boston last night 10-4. i think i might have turned the game off in the top of the 1st inning. the magic number though is down to 2. so, maybe they just backslide into the playoffs with all the other wild card teams beating each other up. sadly, if they do make it and win that playoff game, they will have to face the Blue Jays. i doubt that series lasts long. the Yankees face Boston again tonight if mother nature cooperates. Tanaka is supposed to go tonight. it's a big start as this lines him up for that wild card game. figuring their luck here lately, tonight gets rained out and they have a doubleheader tomorrow.
for some reason the DVR didn't record the first 9 minutes of The Voice last night. judging from what i could figure out, i didn't miss much. my favorite performance last night was an easy one to choose. anyone who is smart enough to do a John Prine song is a winner in my book:
The Muppets was pretty funny last night. Scream Queens was once again so damn bad it was great. Total Divas was nearly a waste of time. i was more interested in Tyson Kidd's injury but the whole show was basically about Paige being scared to settle down and Dolph Ziggler "trying" to get back with Nikki Bella. it was one of those hours where you remember that reality shows aren't actually reality.
time for some music kids:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be You're The Worst. i'm looking forward to NXT tonight on the WWE Network as this will be the last show before the next live event.
Manchester United plays Wolfsburg today in Champions League group play. this is a MUST WIN game for United. i'm not sure how much i will get to see of it though as mom will be getting out of her conference and heading back home pretty much at the same time the game is going on. she wants to meet at the car rental place so she can turn it back in early.
the New York Rangers play their final preseason game tonight vs. Boston. i can't wait for hockey season to start back up.
that's pretty much all for me today. the rain has finally stopped but my body is still aching. maybe a long hot shower will do the trick. of course, the phone will ring in the middle of that shower. i learned a long time ago, if you're waiting for something to happen, go do something else. when i lived alone at the farm and was waiting for a phone call, i'd either go take a shower or a long shit. it never failed, the phone always rang.
not sure when i'll be on here tomorrow. when i do get back on here, i'm hoping i have nothing but good news to report.
