so, i got up at 3:30 this morning. i guess the nap i got in the afternoon rested me more than i thought. so, i was able to watch WWE Elimination Chamber live this morning. it was a better show than i was expecting to be honest. and that made it well worth my time.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

anger still exists on just 2 hours of sleep...

i hope your day was better than mine...
so, the muse more or less told me last night if i was younger and lived in a bigger city, she would have happily married me years ago. and then she went on to rehash things from our past that made her feel like shit and i of course had no reply. how do you say sorry for the 1,000th time and have it still feel original? yeah, i'm not sure either. so, apparently since i'm not perfect, a future that actually involves the muse and myself in something more than friendship probably isn't fucking possible. that was just the start of the pain. the arthritis in my let hip decided sometime while i was doing dishes last night that it was going to be the star of the show from now on. it basically has felt that i have been walking with one leg longer than the other. just fucking wonderful. then i did the grocery shopping today. i texted mom to ask her a question. she of course was nowhere near her phone so i never got a response until i was driving home. the lady in front of me at Kroger was running a fucking scam that the cashier fell for. that pissed me off, not that she was running the scam, but that it took 20 minutes longer than it needed to. and then i had to bag my own groceries, which i don't mind. of course, the cashier helped and she fucked up one of the body washes i got, so that bottle is half empty now. joy. a truck nearly ran me off the road on the way home. joy. a lady didn't know how to make a left hand turn, so that almost got me into a fucking accident. i swear, when life gives me lemons, someone else makes sure to piss on them as well. so, i'm really hoping for the ice to work tonight and maybe i'll get more than 3 hours of sleep.
the Yankees won both games of the doubleheader yesterday in Boston. first time they have done that there since 2006. they are currently in a rain delay for tonight's game.

the dog days of summer... again
yet another day in the 90's here... i got up early this morning to water mom's flowers outside. she wants to see them live for a few weeks longer. joy.
so, for dinner last night, i ordered Pizza Hut. i figured since it was Labor Day, i didn't really feel like cooking. besides, my back was punishing me for being efficient yesterday. i got 3 loads of laundry done, 15 poems sent out, 2 blogs written, 350 emails gone through and had dinner ordered before 6 PM. for the rest of the night, my back was on strike. pretty much the same for today.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.

hopefully the last day of the air quality alerts for the wildfires...
when i took some mail out to the mailbox last night, it was the first time i could really smell the smoke in the air. i am really hoping the advisory ends tonight as they are expecting.
the New York Yankees lost last night at home to Boston, 3-2. hopefully they will win tonight.

back pain and busted knuckles...
so, after the Ohio State game yesterday (more on that in a bit) i went out to clean the windows. between the wind, my bad back and busting my knuckles trying to get hoses on and off, there was no combination of ice, alcohol and drugs that could have taken the pain away. joy.
Ohio State defeated Iowa yesterday, 54-10. honestly, the game felt closer than that for most of it. Ohio State's defense played great yesterday. Ohio State plays at Penn State next week.

always love waking up with a bad back...
so, right as i woke up, i knew my day was fucked. my back was screaming bloody fucking murder with every step to the bathroom. joy. the only reason i honestly have made it 46 years into this life is learning how to find the pleasure in the pain. i honestly know as soon as i lose that ability, i am fucked. so, i did get to ice my back down for hours later in the morning into the afternoon. after that, i had to take a prescription to Kroger for my mother and then get some things that weren't put on the grocery list. of course, Kroger didn't have the first item i was looking for, so i went to Meijer instead. i'll have to go back to Kroger this weekend to get my mother's prescription. her appointment yesterday with the foot doctor went well. now, i just need to figure out a good time to take her to get a haircut.
the Yankees had their asses handed to them last night by Toronto, losing 9-2. hopefully, they will find a way to win tonight.

well, at least it has stopped raining...
when i got into the shower this afternoon, i tried to get the water as warm as possible, just to see if that helped ease the pain in my back at all. mind you, anytime i get into water that is too hot, i have the tendency to pass out. sadly, ice hasn't been that helpful the last few days. if i had no self control, there is a likely chance i would have drank myself to death this weekend. good times.
