i know i don't sleep well, but i did enough yesterday that i was hoping to really get some sleep. between the cooking, vacuuming the house, and doing a ton of dishes, i was hoping for something close to what a normal human gets for sleep. so, roughly 4 1/2 hours into my sleep, the fucking phone rings. the phone said spam risk. fuck me. and of course, i couldn't get back to sleep. oh well.
the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday at Carolina, 22-14. too many fucking turnovers once again. they play next week in London against the Vikings.
the Yankees won last night against the Red Sox, 2-0. the game only went 6 innings before the rain came. of course, due up next for the Yankees was Aaron Judge. but since both teams had to be in different cities today, there was no reason to wait 3 or 4 hours for the rain to end. Judge is still at 60 HR but he is back in the lead for batting average. so, the triple crown watch is back on. the Yankees play tonight at Toronto. if the Yankees win any game in this series, they will clinch the division.
the season finale of Big Brother was good last night. Monte won the final HOH and decided to take Taylor to the end with him. big mistake as Turner ended up being Monte's only vote by the jury. Taylor gave one of the best speeches EVER on Big Brother and won 8-1 with the jury vote. she also won the favorite houseguest. first time that double win has happened. so, she ended up winning $775,000 and a cruise for two.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as always.
the season finale of City on a Hill was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and Monday Night Raw.
i might watch some of the NFL game tonight between the Giants and Cowboys.
i got some amazing artwork today from this artist on Etsy. below is a link to his store:
i did take my blood pressure today, like the doctor wanted me to since it was higher on my last visit two weeks ago. today was much closer to my normal.
i should be on here tomorrow after the USMNT takes on Saudi Arabia.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

it rained a bit overnight again, but thankfully, not enough to wake me up this time. plus, it felt nice enough outside this morning, i was able to open the doors and get a little air moving through the house.
the Yankees won yesterday against the Red Sox, 7-5. Judge is still at 60 HR, though i have little doubt he will break the American League record for homers. i hope he gets hot again from the plate as he is now second in batting average. i really hope he wins the triple crown. the Yankees go for the sweep tonight. they have won more games this season than last, so i'm hoping that is a good sign for the playoffs.
Ohio State whipped Wisconsin last night, 52-21.
i did watch a little of the MLS game last night as well.
enjoy some music:

before i get into all the happenings of yesterday, i want to take care of a few things.
first, a big shoutout to the person who reads this blog and then gives the person i'm not allowed to talk about a recap every two weeks. kudos to you for the job you do and for apparently being bilingual. i will try to make your job as boring as possible, but do remind the person i'm not allowed to talk about my first amendment rights. thanks again and i hope you enjoy the show.
secondly, i believe the wheels have started moving on some news i'm really excited about later this week. i will hopefully have good news to share soon.
now, on to the fucking New Orleans Saints playing like shit yesterday. you can't win games in the NFL with 5 fucking turnovers. and what pisses me off even more, the defense played so good for most of the game. Jameis Winston threw 3 interceptions. the fumbles by Ingram and Olave didn't help either. and i have no fucking clue why Lattimore was ejected from the game when that fucking punk Mike Evans should have been the only one kicked out. to me, that changed the whole fucking game. oh well. the Saints lost to Tampa Bay, 20-10.
the Yankees won yesterday, defeating Milwaukee, 12-8. Aaron Judge hit two more home runs, and now has a legitimate shot to win the triple crown. i have the feeling more athletes are going to bet on themselves now in the future.
the Columbus Crew had a draw yesterday against Portland. honestly, when you get scored on at the death for the game to end 1-1, it basically feels like a loss.
Big Brother was good last night. Monte won the VETO so i'm pretty sure Brittany will be the next one to leave.
the season finale of VICE was two very good episodes last night.
City on a Hill was excellent last night. the season finale is next week.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was very good last night.

i believe it is supposed to be in the 80's again today. i wouldn't mind for the two weeks of fall to begin here soon. that will fly by and winter will be here soon enough.
Ohio State won last night over Toledo, 77-21. if Ohio State plays offense like that the rest of the season, they should be able to win just about every game on their schedule.
the Yankees lost last night in Milwaukee, 4-1. they will try to avoid the sweep this afternoon.
i did watch a few MLS games yesterday:
and i watched a few college football games yesterday as well:

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
so, let's just say my doctor's appointment didn't go as i was hoping for today. my weight was up, my A1C was up, my blood pressure was up, etc. the blood pressure was the one that concerned me the most. i have never had high blood pressure. so the doctor wants me to check it at home in two weeks and see if it is still elevated. if so, i'll get to start that realm of drugs then. so, hopefully i can make a few tweaks and get it down in 2 weeks. of course, my other theory on my blood pressure being up was having a 2:15 appointment; i got there at 2 and wasn't taken back to a room until 2:25. and i was probably out of there by 2:35. the classic get them in and out as quick as possible because you have a number you have to hit each day and this is the only way to do it. as i was driving home, i started to laugh and remember why so many people i have known have chosen suicide.
so, when the New Orleans Saints were down 16 going into the fourth quarter yesterday at Atlanta, i wasn't happy. but, it's the Falcons, so i knew the Saints would have a chance to come back. sure enough. the offense finally erupted. Michael Thomas caught two touchdowns. Jarvis Landry had a huge day catching passes. the defense wasn't great, but i'm hoping that gets better as the season goes along. the Saints won yesterday, 27-26. they play next week at home against Tampa Bay. hopefully, they will end Brady's career earlier than expected.
the Yankees beat Tampa Bay yesterday, 10-4. this was a huge series win for the Yankees. the lead in the division is back up to 5 1/2 games. the Yankees are off tonight and start a series tomorrow night in Boston.
Big Brother was good last night.
VICE was good last night.

Ohio State won yesterday, defeating Arkansas St., 45-12. next up will be a night game next Saturday at home against Toledo.
the New York Yankees won yesterday against Tampa Bay, 10-3. that clinches the season series against Tampa, something that could come into play if the teams end up tied at the end of the regular season. hopefully, that won't happen. the Yankees will go for the series win this afternoon.
i did watch plenty of college football games yesterday.
i also watched plenty of MLS games yesterday.

it started raining last night and i woke up this morning to a thick fog. we're supposed to get more rain today. joy. i always love spending a holiday in pain.
so, the big plan today was to get the poems out first and then do this blog while doing my laundry. of course, nothing in my life ever goes as planned. so, the blog is first today. the poems will go out later, most likely after a shower and my laundry.
Manchester United defeated Arsenal yesterday, 3-1. that made me very happy. United is now 5th in the Premier League, 3 points out of 1st.
the Yankees won yesterday down in that dump in Tampa, 2-1. Aaron Judge hit his 53rd HR to lead off the game. he ended up scoring all the Yankees runs in this series. the last player to do that in a 3 game series was Babe Ruth. the Yankees start a 4 game series at home this afternoon against the Twins.
the season finale of The Chi last night was very good.
Big Brother was good last night.
City on a Hill was awesome last night.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan was excellent last night.

my arthritis was overjoyed yesterday and will be as well today. it rained most of yesterday and it is supposed to today as well. just how i want to spend a holiday weekend...
so, when Ohio State was down at halftime last night, i was not happy. but, i wasn't nearly as pissed as i used to be. Ohio State lost its best WR in the first half. i figured, with a few tweaks at halftime, they would get the job done. sure enough, after trailing at halftime to Notre Dame, 10-7, Ohio State defeated Notre Dame last night, 21-10. and they did it with a suffocating defense in the second half and by running the ball. i don't think this team will be labeled having a lack of toughness this season.
the Yankees had three hits yesterday. Aaron Judge had two of them, including his 52nd HR of the season. as you might have imagined, the Yankees lost last night down in that dump in Tampa, 2-1.
the USWNT defeated Nigeria yesterday, 4-0.
i liked most of WWE's Clash at the Castle yesterday. other than the fact i couldn't get the English feed to work out in the living room and had to watch it on my computer, i thought it was good. i would have loved to seen Roman Reigns lose the titles yesterday, but oh well.

so, i didn't watch much of the Yankees game yesterday. i really don't feel like watching them when they are playing like shit. they lost to a A's team that probably couldn't beat a wet paper bag on most nights, 4-1. they start a series tonight in Anaheim against the Angels. the lead in the division is down to 7 1/2 games.
i did watch some of the MLS games yesterday:
Big Brother was good last night.

i did listen to episode 410 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can hear that by going here:
the Yankees had more errors than hits last night. how the fuck do you play 11 innings of baseball and have 1 fucking hit? they lost to the shitty A's, 3-2, in 11 innings. the Yankees were up 2-0 in the 10th, but they pissed that lead away. they will go for the series win this afternoon.
i did watch a few MLS games yesterday:

or maybe it is simply, i can't fucking stand Mondays. today has been one of those days where it seems like i'm just fucking stuck in first gear and don't have the ability to get going. add in my mother falling again and me screwing up my back trying to get to her and you can easily understand why i turn to alcohol on most days.
i think most of mom's falling is due to her vision being so bad she has absolutely no sense of depth perception. so, this once again will be the battle between being stubborn and asking for fucking help. as always, i'll be the one stuck in the middle, getting more frustrated by the minute. good times.
the Yankees lost to Boston last night, 3-0. it almost seems like the team is just going to coast for the rest of the season, see if they can still win the division and then flip the switch in the playoffs. great. they start a series at home tonight against Tampa Bay.
team USA defeated Sweden last night, 3-2, at the World Juniors. that means they will finish first in the group and play Czechia in the quarterfinals.
the season finale of Westworld was excellent last night. i'm hoping there will be more of the series, but if there isn't, this finale was the perfect goodbye.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.

i didn't get to bed this morning until 5 AM. i was up at 9 AM. nothing like sitting at the table at 4 AM going through the coupons after getting the dishes done and seeing your mother come out to the table, not really sure what she is doing. i keep telling her, and you wonder why i don't get to sleep much anymore.
she was supposed to have a counseling session online today but of course, that got cancelled. so now, she has to do one in the morning and i know tomorrow will be a fresh slice of hell as she is not a morning person.
thanks again to everyone that has checked out my latest published poems. i've had 9 published in the last 3 days. not bad...
