but, this is what happens when you have a bad back and you have to take a shit and you are on the other side of the house. not how i wanted to start off my day. spent easily 30 minutes in the bathroom using the bidet. good times. and then i had to ice my back down a good hour before i could go grocery shopping. of course, i also had to take mail to the neighbors since whoever the fuck delivers our mail can't fucking see worth a shit. i'm not sure how 57 looks like 51 when there are two boxes of the same thing over at 57. i really laugh when 45 ends up here at 51. and the postal service wonders why they lose money. grocery shopping went well today, for the most part. i had to bag my own groceries at Kroger. so, i will definitely be icing my back down again tonight. even better, we might have some thunderstorms tonight. the feels like temperature was 100 all afternoon. that was a joy to be out driving in that.
the Yankees lost last night at the Nationals, 4-2. hopefully, the Yankees will win tonight.
NXT was really good last night.
Hard Knocks was good last night.
Deadliest Catch was excellent last night.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i need to go figure out dinner, so that's all for me today kids.

so, the fan on the computer has been running non-stop again. i did all the troubleshooting i could find on google on what to do. hell, i even fucking cleaned. so, i'm guessing i will be selling an organ to afford a new computer. good times.
that has taken up most of my day. i thought the company looking to do our kitchen was supposed to be here at 3. well, it turns out, we were supposed to go to them at 3. so, that will be the drive tomorrow afternoon. 26 miles away. that should be fun given how mom hates to ride in the Highlander for long distances anymore.
the Yankees lost yesterday at Tampa, 7-4. they start a series tonight at Detroit.
the New Orleans Saints lost last night at home to the Texans, 17-13. they have until tomorrow to cut their roster to 53. that should be interesting to see who the final cuts will be.
Big Brother was good last night.
Heels was very good last night.
Billions was excellent last night.
The Chi was great last night.

i am currently listening to episode 462 of Notsam Wrestling. you can hear that by going here:
if i can get the fan to stop running all the damn time, i might be on here in the morning to get the blog done before i have to drive mom out to the contractor's office. if not, the blog will be another late one.
i wrote two poems today waiting for all the diagnostic tests to get done on the computer. i'll type those up when i get done with this.
the Yankees had more errors than hits last night. how the fuck do you play 11 innings of baseball and have 1 fucking hit? they lost to the shitty A's, 3-2, in 11 innings. the Yankees were up 2-0 in the 10th, but they pissed that lead away. they will go for the series win this afternoon.
i did watch a few MLS games yesterday:
and a few college football games as well:
i'm glad i went to the grocery store yesterday. it is supposed to be 90 fucking degrees today.

so i got some mail today informing me my health insurance is going up in November. it is already too high in my mind and now it's going to cost nearly a $1,000 a month!!!!!!! i told my mother i might as well choose death. good times.
i wanted to have this blog done before now, but life gets in the fucking way sometimes. i had to go to the store to get mom's new medication and get some other shit she needed. i always love a day when i have breakfast at noon and take a big shit in the middle of it.
her eye appointment went well yesterday. her right eye has gotten worse. her cornea is fucked up and the only way it gets better is a transplant. and of course, she couldn't find her credit card yesterday, so i paid for the appointment.
we went to Perkins afterwards and she was able to get some eggs and pancakes that were soft enough it didn't fuck with her bad tooth.
Big Brother went as i expected last night. Janelle did get evicted. Enzo is the new HOH.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
Cake was fucking excellent last night.
NXT UK was another best of last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.
the NHL and NBA postponed their games until tomorrow. so, no highlights until Sunday...
the Yankees are playing a doubleheader today at home against the Mets. they are currently up 2-0 after the first inning of game 1. i'd love to see a victory considering they have lost 5 games in a row. Judge is back on the injured list, Gio has a bone spur in his right elbow... it never fucking fails.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown (later than usual for me because our local Fox station is showing high school football), Room 104 and Real Time with Bill Maher.
i saw a guy at the grocery store wearing a Spiderman mask today. not the kind that covers just your mouth, but the entire head. that gave me a good laugh.
i will probably do some writing tonight and i'd love to do another SoundCloud recording here soon. hopefully, tonight will be the night to do that.
i'll be on here in the morning tomorrow as the Yankees play again in the afternoon.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i believe the remnants of Laura will be coming here tomorrow as the "experts" are predicting storms all day long.
the Yankees are now up 4-0. Clint Frazier just hit a 2 run home run.

between my bed and my massage chair, i got almost 4 hours of sleep last night. and the last 45 minutes of that was with ice on my back and right shoulder. a little advice to my gambling friends, put the money on me being dead before 50.
the New York Yankees defeated Seattle last night, 7-0. they go for the sweep this afternoon.
Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night.
the season finale of Miz & Mrs was hilarious last night.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

i know mom has a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon. i think she wants to go shopping after that is over. we're celebrating my sister's birthday this weekend instead of next weekend and mom wants to get her something.
i'll be on here tomorrow after i get back home.
i think for the rest of today, i'll be trying to get some more sleep in my massage chair.

i've spent a good portion of today icing down my bad back. the shitty thing is i normally have lower back pain. this is more in the middle of my back. joy.
i did write 3 poems this afternoon. i typed them up and i think they are pretty good. that brings me to 27 poems for August. that's pretty good for a month i'm usually never productive in.
i had to take mom to the bank this morning. thankfully, we got that done before it got hot today. her bank is about 30 minutes away.
the New York Yankees had as many hits as errors last night. that's never a good recipe to win. they lost to the White Sox 6-2. hopefully, they will win tonight.
Manchester United played a good first half yesterday. sadly, they weren't clinical in the final third, so the score at halftime was 0-0. the second half was beyond fucking abysmal. Tottenham ripped them to shreds and won the game 3-0. i can't remember the last season United lost 2 of the first 3 games. i have a feeling it's not going to get any better anytime soon.
Monday Night Raw was interesting last night. i really enjoyed the Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins match. and i'm interested to see where they are going with KO quitting last night. i did enjoy Braun turning heel and beating up Roman Reigns last night. but, that was all that was interesting. just not enough for a show that is 3 hours long.
Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story focused on the trial last night. other than the opening statement from the prosecution, you could tell they had no damn clue what the fuck they were doing. of course, Florida is a fucking shit show when it comes to this type of shit. the longer i watched, the angrier i got.

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, the season finale of Deadliest Catch, Fuck That's Delicious, the season finale of Miz and Mrs., Hard Knocks and The Shop. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
i'll probably be on here tomorrow after i take mom to her eye doctor's appointment. i'm not sure if it's just an appointment tomorrow or if they are actually doing some outpatient stuff on her as well.
the talk mom had with the lawyer was very good yesterday. i guess before too long, i'll be filling out an affidavit. too bad for these doctors i have a good memory.
i need to get the trash picked up now. so, until tomorrow kids...

you would think with how strong i made the victory drinks yesterday i would have slept better. instead, i'm in this shitty pattern of waking up every few hours and wondering what the fuck. i suppose it's time to exhaust the brain with another writing session.
the New York Yankees whipped Baltimore again yesterday, 13-5. Gary Sanchez set the major league record for the fastest a player has ever got to 11 home runs in their career (23 games). hopefully they will get the sweep today and get even closer to a playoff position. they are 2.5 games out of the wildcard as of right now.
Manchester United took on a very stubborn Hull City team yesterday. the one thing i did love about United yesterday is they played with a sense of urgency whenever they did lose possession. it felt like the ball was in Hull's half the entire second half of the game. thankfully, Marcus Rashford came to the rescue again with a late winner. United won 1-0.
always good to go into the international break with 3 wins and all 9 points.
the UFC on Fox was really good last night. i wish the main event would have lasted longer, but oh well.
ROH was excellent last night.

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, the finale of The Night Of, Ballers, Vice Principals, Power, Ray Donovan, the finale of Roadies and the return of The Strain.
we had a nice holy shit storm come through here last night. even had the power go out for a little bit. just long enough that all the damn clocks had to be reset. i don't think we had much damage. i still need to go out and look.
the Dayton Flyers got their first commit for 2017 yesterday. a 6-4 guard from South Carolina, Jordan Davis. he had 17 offers and chose Dayton above some other bigger name schools. and judging from what i saw, i'm really going to like this kid. he can fucking shoot.
that's all for me kids. i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

i had a conversation with the muse last night. first time we had spoke since she moved. eventually, as all our conversations devolve into when she's dead tired, she got on her soapbox that i should quit this writing dream and get a job like the rest of the world. this always makes me laugh, as this has been a part of her conversation with me for over a decade now. i'm sure she loves me and has my best interest at heart, but, as a stubborn person herself, she surely must understand that i'm way too invested in this dream to piss it away now. i look at it this way. this writing dream has me on the phone with a beautiful woman at 3 in the morning, laughing, as i picture her naked eating mac and cheese. like i would trade that for a 9 to 5 or another trip back into the factory. yes, i'm poor. yes, i can't afford hardly anything i want. but i have never let a little thing called money get in the way of me living my life. there comes the rub. i'm not living the life they want me to live. the joy of being an individual is understanding that sometimes it's better off to be alone. all alone. that makes it much easier to decipher the noise of the agenda of others.
now, i step off of my soapbox...
the Yankees exploded last night in the 3rd inning, getting 9 straight hits. that was truly a holy shit thing to watch. they went on to win 8-4. they play again this afternoon. hopefully they can keep the hits coming and win again.
Big Brother last night was boring, which is truly what i expected once they got rid of Zach. tonight, Donny will be evicted and the show will get even more boring.
Brew Dogs was excellent last night. the more i watch shit about home brewing, the more i am considering making my own alcohol.
The Bridge last night was spectacular. it had a little of everything last night. plus, another great ending. i can't wait until next week.
as for tonight, other than Big Brother, i'll be bouncing between some college football games, Married and You're the Worst on FX, and god knows what else.
i also need to get some shit done around the house today. some sweeping and other cleaning mostly. mom went to work today. so, mostly it will be about managing my time between watching porn and getting shit done.
that's all for me. thanks again for allowing me to waste some of your precious time.

"Being true to yourself really means being true to all the complexities of the human spirit." - Rita Dove
so after the Yankees won (more on that tomorrow) i decided to get out to the barn before the rain is supposed to come. when i got to the one that houses most of the cats, i heard one crying. i went to go find it. and i did, 2 stalls over from its mother.
so i went back over to the main stall to see what Rita Dove was doing. much to my surprise, she was a bit busy.
so i guess Rita Dove has 3 kittens. good to know.
here is my cat Michael Jackson
and here is one of Whitey, who was being a little more bitchy than usual today, hence no pictures of her kittens
and one final one of Kit Kat being her normal nosy self
so i go out to feed the cats this morning and i notice the same bird feeder from yesterday is down again. i guess the deer spray doesn't work anymore or there is raccoon defying gravity somewhere on the farm. so i get into the barn and hot damn, my cat Rita Dove's kittens made their first appearance outside of their igloo. both are gray. seeing that John Prine is the only gray cat here, i think i may know who the father is. weather permitting, i may try to get some pictures of them this weekend.
i watched the Yankees rebound nicely last night, helped by a dominant Kuroda (2 hits over 8 innings), to beat Toronto 5-0. it was also nice to see the kids do some damage. hopefully that continues later today.
didn't watch much hockey last night. i don't really care for either team. i will watch today though. always fun to see Detroit vs. Chicago (one of the best games i ever saw in person), especially in the playoffs, especially when it goes right into horse racing. sounds like a good afternoon.
i will definitely get a nap in sometime as i want to be wide awake for Saturday Night Live tonight. could be the final episodes of many cast members. plus, there's always the chance Kanye loses it and goes fucking nuts live on stage. fingers crossed.
the sun is out right now but the humidity is unbearable. i don't want to put the air conditioning on in May, but i'm thinking i might not have a choice in the next few days.
music today:
Shooter Jennings - Family Man
Brett Dennen - Loverboy
A Tribe Called Quest - The Anthology
"A line is a dot that went for a walk." - Paul Klee
the sun is out, flowers are coming up, caught a skunk eating the cat food, and saw my cat Rita Dove lying on her side in the igloo in one of the stalls. got a little closer and realized she was nursing what looked like 3 kittens that she must have had in the last few days. just great.
i tried to get a picture of the groundhog that lives out here on the farm but the fucker was already gone by the time i got the camera out. but, since i had it out, i figured i might as well take some pictures. below are 2 of the 10 i took. the rest can be seen on my Google+ page.
the only reason i watched the NFL Draft last night was to see how the Manti T'eo bet would play out on the Dan Patrick Show. other than that, it was boring beyond belief.
the New York Yankees had a nice 5-3 come from behind win last night. always nice to win when you start off in a 3-0 hole. home runs from Wells, Cervelli, and Cano do the trick. hopefully this home stand can get them in a groove and right into a better May.
the New York Rangers got off to a great start last night. then pissed it all away. then tied the game late. and then Captain Cally does what every great captain should do. score the winning goal in overtime to clinch a playoff spot. highlights below:
the poet of the day on my Google+ page is Melanie Browne. i have always enjoyed her work when i have come across it. a quick Google search should yield you a few links to her work that are different from the ones on my page.
hope everyone has a great weekend.
music today:
Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
Ivan & Alyosha - The Cabin Sessions
Jamey Johnson - That Lonesome Song
"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." - Helen Keller
a poet once told me that other poets enjoy my work because i write about things that no one else would ever touch. like embarrassing situations, bathroom horror stories, etc. etc. with that in mind, i figure this blog shouldn't be any different. so now, welcome behind the curtains...
woke up at 7 this morning. fed the cats and birds. i did get to see my cat Rita Dove's two new kittens. they poked their heads out from the box they are in. hopefully there are only 2. took a massive shit afterwards. this is where i want you to keep in mind i have a bad back. watched a little of the Dan Patrick Show and decided i would head into town to get the mail and maybe some breakfast.
went to the post office, hoping to find a letter i've been waiting for, which of course wasn't there. i did get a nice letter from my old friend Michelle Aiello. you can find her site at indigozine.com. shop around and help her out. then headed to McDonald's for a little breakfast. picked up the paper at the end of my lane and then back to the house.
of course McDonald's got my order wrong. but, what they gave me cost 60 cents more than what i paid for. ha, ha, i'm thinking. i'm winning. this is what i get for fucking thinking.
cut to 30 minutes later and me racing to the bathroom with diarrhea. most of it made the bowl. after getting cleaned up and bemoaning my life, i now had an unexpected load of laundry to do. got that started, put on some clean clothes and waited. amazingly, i didn't have to shit again right away. WHEW!
after my laundry was done, i got the 7 poems i wrote yesterday to type up. halfway through the process, i had to shit again. no mess this time. this was like trying to fit boulders through a strainer. here's the part of the story where you should know i bleed easy.
got the poems finally typed up and got a phone call from my friend in California. she's trying to get herself off the drugs various doctors over the years have mind fucked her with. needless to say the phone calls are a little interesting.
now a check of email, various surveys to fill out (this is how i make my feeble living for the most part. most of them don't pay cash, so i take the amazon.com gift codes instead. might as well get something i can use.) and then onto my blog.
for anyone who thought i had it made, fuck you.... and you're welcome for the visuals
the Yankees thankfully won't lose today as they are off. thanks to riveraveblues.com for reminding me that any season the Yankees have had a 6 1/2 game lead in the division they have won it (the lead that was 10 a few weeks ago is now down to 3) and the last time they were swept in Chicago they won the World Series (2009). it doesn't make it any better, but this isn't my first rodeo. i didn't become a Yankee fan in the late 90's. i've been with them since the early 80's. just the normal bumps in the road during the dog days. doesn't mean i'll bitch any less or quieter though. just sayin'...
Etta James - The Best Of
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Don't Explain
Stevie Ray Vaughn & Double Trouble - Blues At Sunrise
The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker
"Chaos is rejecting all you have learned, chaos is being yourself." - Emile M. Cioran
Another day in the 90's. Heat index is supposed to hit at least 100 today. There's a rumor that it might rain on Wednesday. I'm not going to believe it until I actually see it.
I'm pretty proud of Phil Hughes. It really looks like he has turned the corner. Only 2 real mistakes last night, only one of them a home run. He's really cut down on his walks this year as well. It always helps when Raul "I may be 40 but i can still hit a 3-1 fastball a country mile" Ibanez hits a grand slam in the bottom of the 8th. Nice 6-3 win last night. Sucks for the Blue Jays that Joey Bats injured his wrist last night. Hopefully it means he'll miss the next 2 games but be back in time to crush the rest of the AL East.
Side note, the Yankees have scored more than 3 runs in 40 straight games. A team record for a single season. That kind of shocked me considering all the great teams in the past. Of course, according to my superstitious ass the streak will end now that I've talked about. CC comes back tonight, so hopefully they won't need a ton of runs in case it does.
My cat Rita Dove made a rare appearance this morning. I haven't seen it in over a week or so. Not sure what it was eating because it looks really good.
Chuckled as I watched Monday Night Raw last night. I'm really hoping the writers are smart enough to make John Cena the first guy to cash in the Money In The Bank contract and lose. As a fan of CM Punk for years now, I'd love this title run to continue for over a year. The 1000th episode is next week, I'm hoping for 3 hours of good memories and some great wrestling. I fear a lack of both as age takes a toll as the last month of stars coming back has shown.
Not exactly sold yet on this Big Brother cast but I'm slowly getting there. Just enough drama and stupidity that I can laugh myself to sleep each night. Now, if there was only a little slutty activity...
