goodbye to the logo...

i actually got sleep last night. a little over 4 hours in my massage chair. i was taking my blood sugar this morning and the news flashed on my phone just as i was watching the Dan Patrick Show. Jerry West had died. i knew Dan was going to be crushed by this as i have seen over the years what Jerry West meant to the show. as someone that loves basketball, Jerry West is one of those Mount Rushmore guys that are bigger than life. the man is the logo of the NBA. there was probably no classier man that has lived on this earth. if you don't know much about him, do yourself a favor and dive down the rabbit hole and learn everything. it will be worth your time.

the grocery shopping went pretty well today, other than my back pain. now, on the way home, i was stuck downwind from a fertilizer truck. and i'm supposed to believe people when they tell me god loves me.

the New York Yankees won last night at the Royals, 10-1. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

NXT was very good last night.

Deadliest Catch was very good last night as well.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite and NJPW.

the USMNT takes on Brazil tonight in a friendly.

Game 3 of the NBA Finals is tonight. Boston is up 2-0. the game tonight is at Dallas.

i'm going to try to be on here tomorrow in the late morning. the Yankees play tomorrow afternoon so i would like to have the blog done before that happens. plus, tomorrow is most likely going to be laundry day.

until tomorrow kids...

you ever wake up and hear every bone in your body crack at the same time?

welcome to my life at 6:30 this morning. as my mother says all the time, this getting old shit is hard. i've noticed here lately that the arthritis in my hands is getting worse. that's lovely news for someone who tries to type for a living. i can still remember my grandmother's hands, fingers always curled from arthritis. not fun.

i didn't do much of anything last night. mom got home and i made a pizza for dinner. we both watched a little television and then it was time to go to bed. i think i may have slept a little better than her. once i finally get to bed, i'm usually out for at least 4 to 5 hours.

i did watch this on Smackdown last night:

and here is some of the funny shit i slept through last night:

i could watch Elizabeth Banks do just about anything.

i did catch some of the basketball game last night. as soon as i saw Kyrie get injured, i knew LeBron would have to become a god to even have a chance in this series. that was Cleveland's best chance to win a game out there i believe. Golden State didn't even play good until OT. i think that is clearly the difference between the East and West. i'm not saying Cleveland is dead, but they may want to get a split in the first two games if they want a chance.

a quick music break:

i have to follow mom when she returns her rental car today. i believe we are then headed to Menards to get some stuff for some flowers and the birds. i got some wildflower seeds for bees that i want to plant out here. i figure the best way to do that is in some pots for the back porch. of course, it's also supposed to rain today, so who knows if either one of us is up to going out after we return the car.

team USA plays the Netherlands today in a soccer friendly. i don't know if i'm going to watch the game or not. i suppose if i'm here, i will take a look. i'm hoping the boys play well. i'm not expecting wins, i just would like to see a more consistent effort over 90 minutes.

tonight the New York Yankees start a home series against the Angels. hopefully they can extend this little winning streak they are on.

on the DVR tonight will be NJPW. it looks like it should be another good episode.

i will be on here tomorrow in the morning probably. tomorrow will be a busy one. the Champions League final (that i know a certain guy in Sweden will be gung ho for), a possible Triple Crown in horse racing, game 2 of the Stanley Cup final, plus the weather is supposed to be really good here for a few hours. so i better get on here in the morning when i won't be distracted by other shit.

on the Dan Patrick Show this morning, they were talking about cover songs. so, in the music section, you'll find my 5 favorite LIVE cover songs.

i hope everyone has a great weekend. have some cool drinks, lustfully enjoy someone other than yourself, read a great book from a poet in Ohio, listen to music you have never heard before and go paint the world the color you want it to be. or, just stay in, get high, and be a fucking genius.

when life gives you lemons, fuck life

i heard that line last night on Comedy Central. i believe i have found what is either going on my tombstone or as a tattoo on my arm.

today was the classic wake up at 4:30 in the morning and feel like you have got some great sleep even though you just went to bed two hours earlier. i couldn't get back to sleep at all this morning. so, i decided to fuck it and just start getting some shit done online. i did listen to two podcasts this morning, Men in Blazers new one and Sam Roberts Wrestling podcast with Adam Cole.

of course, after watching the Dan Patrick Show this morning (totally fucking hilarious, do check it out if you get a chance), i quickly fell asleep for a few hours. we had some snow showers and some holy fuck, that's a cold wind blow through today. i believe the low tonight is going to be around zero. that will be fun.

mom has started making plans for the phone/internet/Directv, etc at the new house. so, it looks like the plan is going to be for us to be moved in sometime around March 1st. i guess i should start packing and/or throwing shit away. the good news though, soon i will be completely done with Frontier Communications (god willing) forever. those fucks "forgot" to take the $25 off of the bill like they said they would. i just wish they would cross one of these crazy rednecks out here and see what happens. sadly, most of them don't have phones. at least none that they pay for.

i heard back from Michael at Carcinogenic Poetry on my submission from last month. he has decided to pass on the poems i sent.

Lucha Underground was excellent last night. the ending of the show was pretty damn good:

other than that last night, i watched some basketball and some hockey. that will be pretty much what i watch tonight as well.

the New York Rangers play at Colorado tonight. hopefully i will be enjoying a victory beer late tonight.

i almost forgot (that should tell you about their performance) that Manchester United beat Burnley yesterday 3-1. two more injuries and more uninspired play. i believe the next game is in the FA Cup on Monday.

i saw this today and laughed. and i really mean LAUGHED. laughed so damn hard i cried. enjoy:

i will be on here early tomorrow as i have a trip to the bank planned and a trip to Columbus to see the Blue Jackets play the Philadelphia Flyers. that should make for an interesting evening.

for those interested, the grocery store didn't produce any poems. i might have one brewing about this stunning black woman i saw, but it might end up being about her child. not sure yet.

that's all for me today. i hope everyone is warm. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

accepting the pleasure i find in pain

so my last night played out almost according to script. like a dumb ass, i fell asleep and woke up in my chair and decided to try to sleep in my bed. i couldn't get comfortable at all. and it's mostly about finding a spot where my left arm isn't throbbing the entire fucking time. so, there i was in the shower at 3 in the morning. the water couldn't get hot enough. i took some sleeping pills, which got me almost 3 hours of sleep this morning. there was no Dan Patrick Show today and it was snowing pretty bad out, so i got another hour of sleep. that makes almost 5 hours, which is double from the last 2 days. so, i'm damn near completely refreshed, other than the whole pain part.

it was interesting trying to shovel the snow this afternoon. i was trying to avoid using my left arm as much as possible. let's just say that didn't work for long. so, hello adrenaline. at least the walks were clear when my mother got back this afternoon. we had to get the lane plowed as my sister is coming this evening. last thing i want is to have to dig her out. i don't have enough adrenaline for that.

finally heard back from the mechanic. the tires i had on the truck are obsolete now. figures. so, we're going with a newer version that is supposedly better. as they long as they aren't flat in a week, it will be an upgrade over the previous ones. not sure when the truck will be done, but it is sounding like it will basically be a new truck. thank god.

the New York Rangers and Detroit Red Wings put on a show last night. end to end action and 2 goaltenders absolutely standing on their heads. it was a pleasure to watch, mostly because the Rangers won 1-0. first time shutting out Detroit since 1976. highlights below:

i'm pretty happy that the New York Yankees have signed all their arbitration eligible players and got that potential mess out of the fucking way. now, hopefully they can get some pitching signed for this season. SOON!

it is supposed to get down to the single digits here tonight. so, the heaters will be blasting and the pipes will be exposed to some heat. and just my luck, my birthday morning will be below zero. good times.

not sure what i'm going to be watching this evening. if my sister has a say in it, i imagine it will be Dateline or 48 Hours or something like that. if i get my way, it will probably be some hockey.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow either before or right after Dayton plays at Richmond tomorrow. early afternoon most likely. the next round of snow is supposed to come tomorrow evening. so, i get the feeling tomorrow morning is going to be trips to the store and returning my mother's rental car. can't wait to see how i'm going to lift huge bags of cat food with one arm. hopefully my back is up to it tomorrow.

that's all for me today. hope everyone has a great weekend. stay warm or if you happen to be one of my few friends that live where it's always warm, i've got 2 words in mind as i get ready to go put some more ice melter out... fuck off. but i say that with nothing but love.

be well.

running on empty

i think i may have got around 4 or 5 hours sleep tops for the entire weekend. so, instead of being smart and sleeping this dreary Monday away, i'm up and writing a blog entry. got the Dan Patrick Show on the television and they are taking off the rest of the corn at the moment. hopefully they get it all off before it SNOWS later today.

i had a mixed day yesterday fantasy football wise. i'm somehow losing by 11 to a team that has 1 win this season (not very fucking happy about that) and i'm up by almost 90 points in the other one. guess which one i think i have a good chance of winning...

the New York Rangers played an interesting game last night. i was in and out of it because of all of the other stuff i was watching at the same time. thankfully, they won. here are the highlights:

my Sunday morning started off with Manchester United playing their best game of the season beating Arsenal 1-0. i always love when RvP sticks it to his old team. plus, now they are only 5 points back and sitting in 5th place in the league. below is the only goal of the game. kudos to whomever posted this on the net.

the Sunday night shows were excellent last night. Boardwalk Empire continues to be one of the best shows on. Eastbound and Down was fucking hilarious. can't wait to the series finale next week. Homeland was great as well. and Masters of Sex had another very strong episode. Total Divas was pretty damn funny. i love the behind the scenes shit, especially in the world of pro wrestling.

hopefully my day today consists of a long nap, some writing, and then my night in front of the television. Monday Night Raw, The Voice, and a Monday Night Football game that i unfortunately have to pay attention to. and i really don't want to.

if i do get lucky enough to write a few poems today, i'll type them up today as well. i don't see me going outside much given the cold blast getting ready to hit here.

i hope everyone had a great weekend. happy Veteran's Day here in the states. happy Monday to the rest of the world.

misery with no company

so i was sitting there this morning. having just gone through all my emails without the internet crapping out (more on that later). having been up for over 3 hours as i watched Manchester United this morning in Japan (more on that later as well). just getting ready to enjoy a little breakfast and watch the Dan Patrick Show when my stomach starts to grumble. and not in the i'm hungry kind of way. more in the i'm getting ready to shit my pants kind of way. luckily, i made it to the toilet. if i had to describe the event, think of the toilet scene in Trainspotting. and now you know just how my day has gone.

Manchester United got lucky to get a 2-2 draw in Japan this morning. take away a gigantic brain cramp from Smalling and maybe the performance would have looked better. i was really happy to see Zaha score in added time. the kid has worked so hard and it is really obvious he's ready to play with the big boys right from the start.

while doing some internet surveys this afternoon (one of the trillion ways i try to make some money) the internet decided to just shut the fuck down. just fucking lovely. thankfully, it was a survey i could get back to without losing everything. this would be where i take a shit all over Frontier Communications but i'm not going to. this is simply the luck of the draw in a community that treats us people in the township like the pieces of shit they all believe we are.

Big Brother went as i expected with the vote and the new HOH is the one most of America hates, which could make the show interesting this week. hopefully the MVP twist works out again with production's favorite cunt back on the block.

Wilfred was one of those special episodes where it helps if you have smoked pot before or spend way too much time thinking about thought. conscious and subconscious. luckily, i am one of those people so i loved it.

i guess the New York Yankees have completed the trade for Alfonso Soriano. it'll be interesting if he's in the lineup this evening. god knows with how fucking bad their hitters from the right side have been this season, he can't be any worse. i'll be watching that for most of the evening.

i might sneak in a few views of wrestling tonight. other than that, i figure the rest of the evening will be spent hoping the Imodium continues to work.

somehow i figure this is all karma regarding my father in some regard. thankfully, as a writer, i know how to use the pain for the page, so in the long run, i have the final laugh. at least that's the plan.

on the bright side, i did get the movie i won from one of my surveys in the mail today. a copy of The Dark Knight Rises. i figure if i truly get bored this evening, i'll watch that yet again. maybe watch the whole trilogy. somehow i figure all of this ends up with me at 2 in the morning with a pen in my hand.

hope everyone has a better weekend than i will.

welcome to the end...

of the weekend, of the month...

quick recap... got a big storm yesterday that really beat up the corn. nothing too bad, but it certainly doesn't look good. wasn't much on tv last night, so i watched some documentaries.

today was all about getting the trash picked up and down to the road and getting the animals fed before all the sports came on.

i did watch a good bit of Italy vs. Uruguay in the Confederations Cup. a great game with Italy winning 3-2 on penalty kicks. in the final of the tournament, Spain got their asses handed to them by Brazil, 3-0.

i didn't watch much of the NASCAR race today, maybe flipped to it a few times only. mostly because i watched a ton of the NHL Draft. i didn't mind what the New York Rangers did with their picks. they mostly got guys that could help them down the line, like 3 to 4 years from now. that's what happens when you have no picks in the first 2 rounds.

the Yankees are now in 4th place in the division as they just got swept by Baltimore. thankfully, i only watched 2 innings all weekend long of them. they play tomorrow in Minnesota. if they lose that series, say hello to a sunken ship.

i did watch Ray Donovan this evening on Showtime. i really enjoyed it. i do believe this series will have some legs.

lastly, the episode of ROH last night was fucking brilliant. i really need to get to a live show one of these days.

not sure what i'm doing tomorrow as my morning ritual (The Dan Patrick Show) is on vacation for the next 2 weeks. i guess i might actually hit the bank and the post office before noon. i'd love to sleep in but apparently, i don't sleep anymore.

that is all. i hope everyone is great.

now it feels like spring

the sun is out, flowers are coming up, caught a skunk eating the cat food, and saw my cat Rita Dove lying on her side in the igloo in one of the stalls. got a little closer and realized she was nursing what looked like 3 kittens that she must have had in the last few days. just great.

i tried to get a picture of the groundhog that lives out here on the farm but the fucker was already gone by the time i got the camera out. but, since i had it out, i figured i might as well take some pictures. below are 2 of the 10 i took. the rest can be seen on my Google+ page.

the only reason i watched the NFL Draft last night was to see how the Manti T'eo bet would play out on the Dan Patrick Show. other than that, it was boring beyond belief.

the New York Yankees had a nice 5-3 come from behind win last night. always nice to win when you start off in a 3-0 hole. home runs from Wells, Cervelli, and Cano do the trick. hopefully this home stand can get them in a groove and right into a better May.

the New York Rangers got off to a great start last night. then pissed it all away. then tied the game late. and then Captain Cally does what every great captain should do. score the winning goal in overtime to clinch a playoff spot. highlights below:

the poet of the day on my Google+ page is Melanie Browne. i have always enjoyed her work when i have come across it. a quick Google search should yield you a few links to her work that are different from the ones on my page.

hope everyone has a great weekend.

a cold Friday

nothing like a cold front moving through, dropping the damn temps by 40 degrees, to leave my back as stiff as a corpse. just fucking fun. we didn't get nearly as much rain as i thought we would, and what we did get, the wind dried it out pretty damn quickly.

the Yankees were rained out again last night, so i pretty much jumped from channel to channel. a little college hockey, some TNA wrestling, some true crime stuff, the cooking channel, various music channels, etc. more or less it's really just the challenge to see if i can go the whole evening and not watch one commercial all the way through. a much easier game to play when you have a satellite i suppose.

i have no clue if the Yankees will play tonight or not. if they do, i'll be watching. if they are rained out for the third day in a row... i'll be jumping from channel to channel again i guess.

mom took me to a late lunch today at Little York Tavern. i haven't been to this place in years. we went there in all actuality to try the Dan Patrick Show beer, Audible Ale. i've been meaning to try this for quite some time, and let me tell you, it was worth the wait. a very smooth, tasty, easy to drink beer. i highly recommend it. hopefully a store around here will start selling it soon.

the poet of the day on my Google+ page is Hosho McCreesh. he does much more than just write poetry, i urge all of you to check out his website:

and now i can breathe again...

some good news to report. when my mother called me this morning after her visit to the doctor and started off with humor, i found it a little weird. was she using it to deflect from bad news or just using it to break the ice? turns out the results from her brain MRI was that they found a brain. not a tumor like both of us had feared. both her and her doctor believe that her headaches and hearing loss in her left ear could very well be due to her father beating her on that side of her head when she was a child. so, my mom will be getting a hearing aid in the next few weeks. my sister wants to bedazzle it. and people think i'm just being silly when i say we put the "fun" in dysfunctional.

always nice when the temps drop nearly 30 degrees in less than 24 hours. blowing snow all day long it seems. no real accumulation, but enough to give the back a few pains.

got a check in the mail i have been waiting for finally, so tomorrow i battle the elements and hit the bank. it doesn't look like it will be too bad out.

other than that, just watching some Champions League soccer and doing the usual farm shit i have to do every few weeks. the beauty of having well water.

big game tonight for the New York Rangers. should be interesting to see how it goes as Brandon Prust makes his return to MSG. a personal favorite of mine, i really hope his emotions get the best of him and he isn't the pest i know he can be.

found some great music today over at NoiseTrade.com. check out the music section for more info.

i did like the fact they introduced a new heavyweight championship belt last night on Monday Night Raw. and i really hope CM Punk wins next week so i won't have to sit through John Cena vs. The Rock again at Wrestlemania. i thought the show was a little better than i expected last night. any show that ends with Cena knocked out at the end will get a thumbs up from me.

since the Dan Patrick Show is going to be reruns for the rest of the week, i believe i might actually get some work done in the mornings coming up. i know tomorrow i really want to tackle the poems that have recently become available again and find the right homes for those. especially since a few of them i haven't even looked at in over a year.

hope everyone is well. peace and chicken grease.

starting the month off right

i was hoping to start February much better than my January ended with the New York Rangers playing like absolute shit last night and the very public ending of one of the best friendships of my life.

with that being said, i woke up freezing this morning as i must have tossed and turned all night long and the covers were nowhere near me. and seeing that the wind chill was somewhere around -10 (hard to believe it was damn near 60 a few days ago), i knew this was going to be one of those days.

didn't see many cats when i fed them this morning. hopefully they were either hiding or had started hunting, as the sun was out, and weren't waiting on my fat ass to get out there to feed them. put out a good amount of bird food as well seeing that we're supposed to get another 2 or 3 inches of snow tomorrow.

i totally enjoyed Super Bowl week on The Dan Patrick Show. in my mind, it is absolutely the best sports show on tv or radio. nothing else is close. as for the Super Bowl itself, i really couldn't give a shit who wins. if i have to root for someone, i'll pick the 49ers only because i wouldn't mind seeing Ray Lewis' last game be a loss.

sent out some poems today to Jeremy Benson and Gutter Eloquence Magazine. the poem i sent to Jeremy has already been accepted for publication. hard to imagine how far all this shit has come when i think back to when i first started sending poems out in the 90's. from stamps and waiting for weeks to hitting send and a few hours later. now i really sound like some old fucker thinking about the good ole days. not that they were really that good to begin with.

back to sports for a second. saw the Yankees signed Travis Hafner today. if he is healthy, i really don't mind this signing. he should be able to provide some power the team has lost due to injury or free agents leaving. of course, it will take a minor miracle for him to stay healthy for the entire season.

not exactly sure what i'm going to be doing tonight. maybe some hockey on tv. maybe something else, not really sure. i do know after i get done with this i have some toilets to clean and a bathroom floor to swiffer. that should be fun with my bad back.

winter as i used to remember her

first off, this blog post is brought to you by The Sam Roberts Show Online. episode 39 is highly recommended. you can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, and by going here: http://notsam.com/podcast.html.

it's been an interesting 2013 so far. managed to stay up to see the ball drop but with no mumbling Dick Clark to laugh at, it just wasn't the same.

woke up in the morning to see Manchester United win easy over Wigan. 2 from RvP and 2 from the Mexican god Chicharito. 2 clean sheets in a row. i'm fucking amazed i just typed that. keep it up boys.

manged to pick all 6 bowl games correctly on New Year's Day. which, thankfully, included a Michigan loss. that never gets old.

the weather has taken a turn to holy shit, this is what winter used to be like. 9 damn degrees this morning. i don't mind it, just hate walking on ice. not fun when you have back problems.

woke up early this morning to watch team USA destroy the Czech Republic 7-0 at the World Juniors. next up is Canada. semi-finals. winner goes to the gold medal game. another 4 am start time. suppose, i'll be bleary eyed once again.

thankfully, the Dan Patrick Show is back. that helps me greatly in the morning. also, allows me to put off feeding the cats and birds until it gets a little warmer outside. you know, like 13 degrees.

had a doctor visit today. given my family history of diabetes and thyroid problems and my history with blood clots, i'll be going to get my blood drawn in a few days i guess. i'm not really worried about what they find. i'm betting on nothing, just like 4 years ago.

if you happen to notice on the right hand side of this blog, i've added some links to Nerdist and WTF. hope you enjoy.

behind the curtains

a poet once told me that other poets enjoy my work because i write about things that no one else would ever touch. like embarrassing situations, bathroom horror stories, etc. etc. with that in mind, i figure this blog shouldn't be any different. so now, welcome behind the curtains...

woke up at 7 this morning. fed the cats and birds. i did get to see my cat Rita Dove's two new kittens. they poked their heads out from the box they are in. hopefully there are only 2. took a massive shit afterwards. this is where i want you to keep in mind i have a bad back. watched a little of the Dan Patrick Show and decided i would head into town to get the mail and maybe some breakfast.

went to the post office, hoping to find a letter i've been waiting for, which of course wasn't there. i did get a nice letter from my old friend Michelle Aiello. you can find her site at indigozine.com. shop around and help her out. then headed to McDonald's for a little breakfast. picked up the paper at the end of my lane and then back to the house.

of course McDonald's got my order wrong. but, what they gave me cost 60 cents more than what i paid for. ha, ha, i'm thinking. i'm winning. this is what i get for fucking thinking.

cut to 30 minutes later and me racing to the bathroom with diarrhea. most of it made the bowl. after getting cleaned up and bemoaning my life, i now had an unexpected load of laundry to do. got that started, put on some clean clothes and waited. amazingly, i didn't have to shit again right away. WHEW!

after my laundry was done, i got the 7 poems i wrote yesterday to type up. halfway through the process, i had to shit again. no mess this time. this was like trying to fit boulders through a strainer. here's the part of the story where you should know i bleed easy.

got the poems finally typed up and got a phone call from my friend in California. she's trying to get herself off the drugs various doctors over the years have mind fucked her with. needless to say the phone calls are a little interesting.

now a check of email, various surveys to fill out (this is how i make my feeble living for the most part. most of them don't pay cash, so i take the amazon.com gift codes instead. might as well get something i can use.) and then onto my blog.

for anyone who thought i had it made, fuck you.... and you're welcome for the visuals

the Yankees thankfully won't lose today as they are off. thanks to riveraveblues.com for reminding me that any season the Yankees have had a 6 1/2 game lead in the division they have won it (the lead that was 10 a few weeks ago is now down to 3) and the last time they were swept in Chicago they won the World Series (2009). it doesn't make it any better, but this isn't my first rodeo. i didn't become a Yankee fan in the late 90's. i've been with them since the early 80's. just the normal bumps in the road during the dog days. doesn't mean i'll bitch any less or quieter though. just sayin'...

and for a blast of the past, enjoy this poem social anxiety disorder

Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa - Don't Explain

blue monday

done my best today to avoid most sports (other than the Dan Patrick Show this morning), which means my day has mostly been filled with music, porn and playing chess on the computer. and here they told me when i was younger that being a loner was going to be boring. fucking liars.

got some mail today from Australia. thanks go out to Ben John Smith for the broadsides he sent. if you haven't read any of the work of one of the best writers i've stumbled upon in the last ten years, check out his work on the internet or his great, mind blowing blog http://horrorsleazetrash.blogspot.com/.

if any of you would like to send me things, feel free. i do write back, no matter where you live in the world. so be warned.

i'm so dearly hoping CM Punk drops another pipe bomb tonight on Monday Night Raw. i got a feeling i'll be watching that much more than the Yankee game tonight.

music today:

Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Buddy Guy - Sweet Tea
Jeff Buckley - Grace
Morphine - Like Swimming
The Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band - Trouble Is...

an afternoon with no internet

my internet was out from 8:15 this morning to 5:09 this afternoon/evening. that's alot of time to fill.
so, i want to thank the Dan Patrick Show, a trip to the post office, doing the dishes, reading the paper, jerking off to QVC (don't ask) and my constant need for music for getting me through the day. i don't know if i have ever played chess vs. the computer so many times in one day. i actually won a few for a change.

waiting on Parise and Suter to stop holding NHL free agency hostage. after those two make up their minds, the Rick Nash sweepstakes can begin. if the Rangers can get him without giving up any of the key kids, i'm all for it. it seems like he wants to be in New York, a welcome change from most years.

with the holiday approaching i'm hoping to get some writing done. those are my current plans for the 4th of July. i'd like to have a big submission pile by mid July, hopefully to take my mind off my book coming out soon. anxiety can be a mother fucker at times.

afternoon music:

Foster the People - Torches
Social Distortion - Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell
Iron Maiden - The Number of the Beast
