whatever the temp was today, that was how humid it was as well. talk about a hot slice of hell. every motherfucker had their kids with them. between my arthritis, the pinched nerve and i swear i am starting to hear weird noises in my ears (i am reading more and more how Meniere's Disease can be hereditary); this is one of those days where i would love to hook up to a morphine drip and just take my chances on living or dying. but, i did get most of everything that was on the list. and i got it before the storms hit. joy.
the New York Yankees won last night over the Twins, 5-1. hopefully, they will do the same thing tonight.
Deadliest Catch was a preview more or less for the upcoming season last night. that starts next week.
NXT was very good last night. i can't wait for NXT Battleground this Sunday.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite and NJPW.
i did write a poem yesterday in the waiting room where mom does her physical therapy.
i will probably be on here in the morning tomorrow as mom has physical therapy again tomorrow afternoon.
i was texting with the spanish princess last night at 4 in the morning. that should tell how i was sleeping last night.
i have to go figure out dinner, so that's all for me kids.
until tomorrow...

i would like to think that i found my bottom last night when it comes to my depression, but i am old enough to know there is no bottom to my depravity, so... but i at least got a good poem out of the abyss i was in. i was hoping to write more today but mom got sick and didn't go to her physical therapy. it seems like i do my best writing at places like that anymore as i don't have as many distractions to deal with. at home, usually the poems come to me while i am in the shower or on the toilet. sadly, it has always been that way.
the New York Yankees won last night at the Dodgers, 4-1. they are off tonight and start a series tomorrow at home against the White Sox.
the old adage is that a series doesn't become a series until the home team loses. well, we have a series now in the NBA Finals. Miami won at Denver last night, 111-108. the series is now 1-1. Game 3 will be on Wednesday in Miami.
i did watch the premiere of The Idol last night. i saw all the negative reviews today and mostly agree with them. i'm going to give the show a little bit of a leash as i want it to be good. now, it definitely would have appealed to me much more when i was in my 20's. but those days are long behind me now.
Ghosts of Beirut was really good last night. the series finale is next week.
VICE was excellent last night.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Monday Night Raw.
Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final is tonight. Vegas is up 1-0 in the series.
i did listen to episode 450 of Notsam Wrestling today. you can hear that by going here:
and that is after writing 3 poems that came out of nowhere and before actually attempting to go to bed. i am pretty sure where my next round of poetry submissions are going to. that will be tomorrow.
the Yankees defeated the Tigers yesterday, 3-0. they go for the sweep here in a little bit.
here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:
WWE NXT In Your House was pretty good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, The Man Who Fell to Earth, Ziwe, Gaslit, Barry, The Baby and Last Week Tonight. i'll be watching WWE Hell in a Cell for most of the evening on Peacock.
the Rangers play Game 3 this afternoon down in Tampa against the Lightning. i would love for the Rangers to win today and be just one win away from the Stanley Cup Final.
the USMNT takes on Uruguay today in a friendly. this should be a really stiff test and a good preview for the World Cup.
Game 2 of the NBA Finals is tonight.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.
i should be on here tomorrow after i get the poems sent out.

i went out looking for some baseball cards today, before i went to pick up my medication and get the stuff mom forgot on the grocery list. i used to have some good luck over at the Dollar Tree in the town i grew up in, so i went there first. i held the door open for this older black woman to go in before me and she declined. i chuckled and imagined myself back in high school during the LA riots. good times. they don't sell the cards anymore as they were getting stolen too much. same story for the Dollar Tree in the next town over. well fuck. i went to the grocery store and found everything but the fucking alcohol swabs, so i knew i was going to have to hit the Walgreen's across the street. i ran in there and found the swabs (200 of them) and then found some baseball cards that i figured, fuck it, i'll take the chance. $5 for a little over 100 cards. i had a couple decent cards in it, but nothing earth shattering. i get the feeling that i'm going to have to either drive 45 minutes or so to find anything decent for baseball cards or i'm going to have to swallow all my morals and fucking go to Walmart to find them. i'm not interested in that shitty option yet, so...
Holey Moley was hilarious last night.
No Mercy No Malice with Professor Scott Galloway was excellent last night.
Total Bellas was very good last night. the season finale is next week.
NXT UK was good last night.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, Real Time with Bill Maher and the season finale of Betty. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
today was another hotter than shit day. we've had rain in the area the last 3 days and i don't think we've seen more than a couple of drops. i'm hoping since the grass got cut today, it will rain soon. fuck, even when it doesn't rain, i still feel the pain from my arthritis. good times.
that's all for me kids. i hope everyone has a great weekend. stay hydrated at your protests. know your rights and videotape everything.
i'm not sure when i will be on here tomorrow. i know i don't have anything planned.
until then kids...

my arthritis has been on this kick since this morning. just this dull fucking pain that i can't shake. good times.
i was a bit shocked this morning. we had our trash and recyclables picked up and our mail delivered before noon. either they all were on the ball this morning or they saw the reports of rain this afternoon as well. of course, that rain never came. you couldn't tell my joints that though.
the New York Yankees lost last night in Toronto, 4-3. they left a small village on base last night and honestly, i don't think they ever win when Angel Hernandez is behind the plate. easily, one the worst umpires i have seen in my life, and that's saying something.
Smackdown was good last night. it could have been better, but it's obvious the company is focusing all their attention on Super Showdown this Friday.
205 Live was really good last night.
Songland was great last night, although i thought the winning song was better as the original than what was put out after being worked on.
Deadliest Catch was really good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and The Wrestlers. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network. i watched NXT UK this afternoon. it was really good.
the USMNT play a friendly tonight against Jamaica. this is the last game before the Gold Cup.
Game 3 of the NBA Finals is tonight. i will probably watch some of that.
i think right now i'm going to take a long shower and hope some warm water works some magic on me.
i'll be on here tomorrow after i hopefully send some poems out.
i remember when i was in 4th grade and we went to a camp as a class. we were told to bring a book to read. of course, i was reading a biography of Robert F. Kennedy at the time. looking back, i was so much different than everyone else in the class, no wonder i'm a fucking loner at 42. but, i thought about that today on the 50th anniversary of RFK's assassination. i always wonder what if he would have become president, instead of Nixon. would anything today truly be any different? considering Nixon 2.0 is in the White House right now, i doubt it. i have always felt what "help" RFK would have given to minorities, would have been reversed within a few years. if this country does anything well, it's fucking racism.
Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.
the New York Yankees split the doubleheader yesterday in Detroit. they won the first game 7-4. they lost the nightcap 4-2. they stranded a small village in that second game. oh well. they start a 2 game series in Toronto tonight.
i do like what the Yankees have done so far in the MLB Draft.
here are your highlights from Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final last night:
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown and Deadliest Catch. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.
mom and i went to Waffle House after her doctor's appointment today. she will be getting another injection into her back in July. hopefully, Medicare will pay for most or all of that. we will have to travel less for these injections, thankfully. they will be done in the office.
of course, it's fucking raining now. and i have to still go next door to do the trash. joy.
i did write 3 poems last night. i got into one of my moods and really went dark for a few hours. between sad songs and porn, you can imagine what i wrote. i typed them up this morning. i like them. i will definitely be using them in my next round of submissions. i'm hoping to get those out this weekend.
mom is having people come over to give estimates on getting new windows for the house. she's also talking about having the landscaping completely made over. at least i'm smart enough to know there will be no money left for me when she dies. hell, my father left me nothing either.
i do love what Manchester United is doing:
that's all for me kids. i'll be on here tomorrow in the afternoon, most likely.

there are mornings where i just wish i could stay in bed and never wake up. and by never, i mean never. just enough rain to get my arthritis raging... a pain that has lasted with me all day. that means the fingers don't work that well. and of course, that's not an option when you have to be someone's caretaker. so today has been one of those days where frustration has me right at the boiling point and i'm going to fucking snap before too long... good times.
the New York Yankees pissed away a winnable game yesterday, 3-2, against Toronto. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow against Boston.
i ended up watching more of that Ariana Grande concert from Manchester yesterday than i thought i was going to. i thought it was a pretty good fuck you to the terrorists. go back to the same city and have an even bigger, better show. sort of a middle finger to those ignorant fucks.
WWE Extreme Rules last night was sort of a blah show, up until the ending. i could see the title changes coming a mile away. but, the main event had 5 different guys that could have won. and when Samoa Joe did win, i was so damn happy. that sets up the dream match between Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar. i can't wait for that to happen.
Silicon Valley was very good last night.
Last Week Tonight was brilliant as usual.
Twin Peaks: The Return was another glorious mindfuck last night.
I'm Dying Up Here started off a little slow for me but by the end of the episode i definitely wanted to see more.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast and the season finale of Gotham.
i will be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.
Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final is tonight. i might check out some of that, especially if Pittsburgh is losing.
i still have dishes to do today. that will be fun since it hurts to stand at the moment. nothing quite like having your legs feel like they are going to snap from arthritis. i guess sometime before i die i'll get a dishwasher for this house. most likely a machine, not a human.
the "FREE" t-shirt i paid for months ago finally arrived today in the mail. i can't bitch about getting a good fitting shirt for only $1.95. of course, i was smart enough to cancel the membership that would have cost me another $90.
i hope everyone had a great weekend. of course, the sooner humans go extinct, the better all of our weekends will be.

not a bad start to my Sunday morning... nearly 5 hours of sleep, a solid shit, 4 poems published and 2 more accepted for publication, the morning paper wasn't wet and the sun was out.
i got some pretty good naps yesterday watching the Copa America. the USA got the best case scenario with the Costa Rica. vs. Paraguay match. a 0-0 draw and Costa Rica's best defender got a red card, so he'll miss the game against the USA on Tuesday. i felt bad for Haiti as they had a glorious chance to draw against Peru at the death and blew it. and then there was Brazil vs. Ecuador. Ecuador got fucking robbed of a goal that should have won them the game. and good god, Brazil acted like they have no clue how to go forward without Neymar, who was up in the press boxes with Justin Bieber of all people.
today is Jamaica vs. Venezuela and Mexico vs. Uruguay. hopefully there will be more goal scoring than yesterday.
ROH was amazing last night. a really fun hour of pro wrestling.
Austin City Limits was really good last night as well.
the New York Yankees tried their hardest to piss away a 7-0 lead last night but eventually held on to win 8-6. they will go for the series win in Baltimore this afternoon.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Silicon Valley, Veep, Last Week Tonight, House of Lies and Penny Dreadful.
we got over an inch of rain yesterday. good thing i slept because my body was aching. we're supposed to get more rain today.
i was happy to see San Jose won in OT last night in game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final. a fitting ending for waiting 25 years to see that big of a game in San Jose.
i might watch some of game 2 of the NBA Finals tonight. hopefully Cleveland will win so it will be a compelling series. if Golden State wins, i don't think Cleveland has a chance to win the championship.
that's all for me today kids. i hope your Saturday was great. hopefully your Sunday will be even better.

welcome to my life at 6:30 this morning. as my mother says all the time, this getting old shit is hard. i've noticed here lately that the arthritis in my hands is getting worse. that's lovely news for someone who tries to type for a living. i can still remember my grandmother's hands, fingers always curled from arthritis. not fun.
i didn't do much of anything last night. mom got home and i made a pizza for dinner. we both watched a little television and then it was time to go to bed. i think i may have slept a little better than her. once i finally get to bed, i'm usually out for at least 4 to 5 hours.
i did watch this on Smackdown last night:
and here is some of the funny shit i slept through last night:
i could watch Elizabeth Banks do just about anything.
i did catch some of the basketball game last night. as soon as i saw Kyrie get injured, i knew LeBron would have to become a god to even have a chance in this series. that was Cleveland's best chance to win a game out there i believe. Golden State didn't even play good until OT. i think that is clearly the difference between the East and West. i'm not saying Cleveland is dead, but they may want to get a split in the first two games if they want a chance.
a quick music break:
i have to follow mom when she returns her rental car today. i believe we are then headed to Menards to get some stuff for some flowers and the birds. i got some wildflower seeds for bees that i want to plant out here. i figure the best way to do that is in some pots for the back porch. of course, it's also supposed to rain today, so who knows if either one of us is up to going out after we return the car.
team USA plays the Netherlands today in a soccer friendly. i don't know if i'm going to watch the game or not. i suppose if i'm here, i will take a look. i'm hoping the boys play well. i'm not expecting wins, i just would like to see a more consistent effort over 90 minutes.
tonight the New York Yankees start a home series against the Angels. hopefully they can extend this little winning streak they are on.
on the DVR tonight will be NJPW. it looks like it should be another good episode.
i will be on here tomorrow in the morning probably. tomorrow will be a busy one. the Champions League final (that i know a certain guy in Sweden will be gung ho for), a possible Triple Crown in horse racing, game 2 of the Stanley Cup final, plus the weather is supposed to be really good here for a few hours. so i better get on here in the morning when i won't be distracted by other shit.
on the Dan Patrick Show this morning, they were talking about cover songs. so, in the music section, you'll find my 5 favorite LIVE cover songs.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. have some cool drinks, lustfully enjoy someone other than yourself, read a great book from a poet in Ohio, listen to music you have never heard before and go paint the world the color you want it to be. or, just stay in, get high, and be a fucking genius.
be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.
