i took my last weed gummy last night. i was really hoping i would get so damn high that i would end up sleeping around 10 hours. well, i did feel some effects from it, and i did slip off to a really good sleep. problem was, it only lasted for a little over 4 hours. well shit.
a big thank you to everyone that checked out my latest published poems:
mom actually wanted to go out and walk this afternoon. i told her it was a good day to do that. it was in the low 70's with a bit of wind. we walked for a little over 10 minutes. we probably could have done more but someone forgot to taker her pain pills before we started. i did go outside a little bit yesterday. i fixed our chimes that the wind tried to destroy the other night and i filled all the bird feeders. on top of all that, i wrote 3 poems yesterday afternoon. those are the first poems of March.
The Regime last night was pretty crazy.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was very funny last night.
Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.
Hightown was good last night. the series finale is next week.

i picked up that logic when i was working at the airport as a cargo handler. and being that i am a very competitive person, it completely makes sense. so, that is why the sign stealing scandal in college football wasn't a huge deal to me. it was more of how did they get caught? that is the part of everything that i want to know. mostly so i never make the same mistake.
i did watch some of the college football final last night. Michigan beat Washington, 34-13. at least i made some money on it.
the New York Rangers lost last night at home to Vancouver, 6-3.
Manchester United won at Wigan yesterday, 2-0. they probably should have scored 4 or 5 goals honestly. at least they have advanced in the FA Cup. they will play Tottenham on Sunday at home in the Premier League.

i'm not sure if it actually made it above 32 degrees today. i only went out once to get the mail. we never got the phone call over the weekend like we were expecting, so the kitchen remodel didn't start today. now, mom's anxiety is through the roof since we have no clue when it will start. good times. once we get the call, we have to clean out the kitchen. and our house isn't exactly big enough to just move the stuff in the kitchen to another room. so, it is going to be a tricky thing to do. good times.
the New Orleans Saints lost yesterday at Atlanta, 24-15. they got over 400 yards of fucking offense and could only get 5 fucking field goals. fuck me.

and your whatever the fuck i wanted you to see video of the day:
i was having a pretty productive morning, which was kind of surprising since mom had one of those dreams where she woke up with a scream at 4 in the morning bitching about frogs in her shoes. of course, i wasn't asleep yet, mostly because i never feel comfortable going to sleep until i know she is actually asleep. fun times. so yeah, i got a few things done this morning and sure enough, my bad back decided it wanted all the attention. so, i iced my back down and put on some tennis. i figured that would put me to sleep. i got almost two hours. joy.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday in St. Louis, 5-1. they start a series tonight at home against Baltimore.

we had the windows open last night after the storms went through. the fucking fireworks were close enough that if i was a war veteran i would have taken cover and grabbed a weapon. should be a fun next couple of days.
i had to go to the local grocery store to get a few things for tomorrow. potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad and i got an apple pie as well. and of course, by the time i got home and started eating lunch, Rite Aid texted me for the prescription i ran out of this morning. good times.
i did watch a little of the NASCAR race yesterday.
i will hopefully be on here tomorrow in the morning.
dinner tonight is going to be eggs and bacon. i figured we haven't done breakfast for dinner in a few months now.
i hope everyone had a great weekend.

so, i was watching the New Orleans Saints play in Atlanta yesterday, while keeping one eye on the Rams vs. 49ers game. when the Rams were up 17-0, i really felt like the Saints were going to make the playoffs. of course, then Taysom Hill got hurt, again, and those positive thoughts went away. amazingly, Trevor Siemian played decent yesterday. the Saints beat the Falcons, 30-20. now, they just needed the Rams to defeat the 49ers to make the playoffs. the Rams pissed away that 17-0 lead and lost in OT, 27-24. i was gutted. and then of course, i saw the news that Bob Saget had died.
most people remember Bob Saget from the TV shows he was on. the Bob Saget i remember the most is being one of the dirtiest fucking comedians around. and it was a beautiful sight, watching a straight laced good tv dad just say the dirtiest shit you ever heard. thanks for all the laughs Bob. you will never be forgotten.
i did my laundry last night. i figured since it was cold again, i might need some clean warmer clothes to wear this week.
the finale of Dexter was great last night. i was pleased with how they ended the show this time around.

i might watch some of the national championship game tonight between Alabama and Georgia.
Manchester United plays in the FA Cup today at home against Aston Villa. i'll miss most of the game because of my mother's doctor's appointment.
i'm not sure if they are going to make mom get another MRI or another scan done because of her head. that's part of the reason why i wanted to get the blog done now.

so now the entire series between the Mets and Yankees this weekend has been postponed. given how many fucking injuries the Yankees have (3 more went on the injured list today), i'm hoping they might have a chance to heal. but, this also probably means a weekend without alcohol. fuck me.
Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.
NXT UK was another best of last night.
Big Brother was good last night. i was disappointed that Nicole got evicted, but it made the most sense for the other players. Tyler is the new HOH.
Cake was awesome last night.
Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious as always.
here are your NBA highlights from last night:
the Draft Lottery for the NBA last night had a few surprises. i'd love to see Obi Toppin go #4 to the Bulls, given the number of Dayton grads that live in the Chicago area.

i've been working on my baseball cards for the last 2 days. both of my shipments from Amazon.com got here way sooner than i was expecting. i'm hoping i got enough to cover everything. it looks like i'm going to be cutting it close. but, once i get that all done, i will start making my list of what i have for sale. and i already know what i'm going to do. if you buy $10 worth of cards from me, you will get 5 to 10 cards for FREE of your favorite player or team or both. and the more you happen to buy, the more likely i am to come down on the price of everything.
mom changed her mind this morning about going to the drugstore. i went this afternoon and found everything she wanted. of course, the one thing i was looking for they didn't have. i did pick up a pack of baseball cards. i haven't opened them up yet. i'm hoping it's a good pack.
rest in peace to Frankie Banali, the drummer of Quiet Riot. he died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 68. thanks for the soundtrack of my youth.
