Happy Memorial Day...

i hope everyone has a good Memorial Day.

i sort of had this blog planned in my mind and then of course, life gets in the way. i was sort of stunned when i got the news today that Bill Walton had died. the true definition of being one of one. rest in peace big man. thank you for all the laughs.

the New York Rangers won yesterday at Florida, 5-4, in OT. they are now up 2-1 in the series. Game 4 is Tuesday night.

the New York Yankees lost yesterday at San Diego, 5-2. they are off today and start a series tomorrow night at the Angels.

here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night:

The Chi was very good last night.

the finale of The Sympathizer was excellent last night.

a quiet, warm day...

mom actually wanted to go out and walk this afternoon. i told her it was a good day to do that. it was in the low 70's with a bit of wind. we walked for a little over 10 minutes. we probably could have done more but someone forgot to taker her pain pills before we started. i did go outside a little bit yesterday. i fixed our chimes that the wind tried to destroy the other night and i filled all the bird feeders. on top of all that, i wrote 3 poems yesterday afternoon. those are the first poems of March.

The Regime last night was pretty crazy.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was very funny last night.

Last Week Tonight was BRILLIANT as usual.

Hightown was good last night. the series finale is next week.

here are your NBA highlights from yesterday:

how i just love having a bad back and only one working bathroom...

today was one of those days where if you didn't have the ability to laugh, you might as well just kill yourself and get it over with. as the title of this blog states, you can just imagine the comedy of errors in this house with everything going on at once. there is a bathroom floor that probably needs to be soaked in Clorox and load of laundry that needs to be done.  good times.

the New York Knicks won last night at Boston, 131-129, in 2 OT. that is 9 wins in a row.

here are your NBA highlights from last night.

Your Honor was really good last night.

The Last of Us was excellent last night. the season finale is next week.

sometimes the hours just bleed together...

my bad back has been really fucking with me the last couple of days. so, i had a little time this morning to put some ice on it and catch a nap. well, that nap extended into the afternoon. i woke up about 15 minutes before i had to drive my mother to her physical therapy session. this is why i keep my hair short. no need to fuck with it if i am in a rush. we got there on time, as usual. it was warm enough today that i probably didn't need anything more than a t-shirt on. i did write 4 poems today while mom was in her session. those are pretty good. i typed them up when i got home. i did have an interesting conversation with a guy at the facility. he stopped and asked if i was really... i had my New Orleans Saints mask on, so i knew exactly what he was talking about. i said i am and we bumped fists. he then started talking about the team and i told him i am fine with Dennis Allen as coach, fine with keeping the offensive coordinator the same, which means the offense should stay the same. they just need a few tweaks here and there, Mickey needs to work his magic with the cap and they simply need to find the right QB. he agreed. he is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. that is the one thing i do love about Saints fans. black, white, whatever, it is always about the team.

the NBA All-Star game last night was really good. Steph went nuts from the 3 point line and of course, LeBron James hit the winning shot.

i did watch a good bit of the Daytona 500 yesterday. they had some crazy fucking crashes. the finish was pretty damn close as well.

the USWNT won yesterday over New Zealand, 5-0. helps when the other team gives you three own goals.

the New York Rangers won in Ottawa yesterday, 2-1.

Celebrity Big Brother was good last night. there will be a double eviction tonight. i'm hoping for fireworks.

Power Book IV: Force was great last night.

Billions was really good last night.

Euphoria was fucking amazing last night. the season finale is next week.

The Righteous Gemstones was funny last night. the season finale is next week.

Somebody Somewhere was very good last night. the season finale is next week.

two out of three ain't bad, i guess...

let us begin at the beginning...

Manchester United got 2 goals from CR7, a golazo from Bruno and hell, even Jesse Lingard scored. 4-1 victory over Newcastle. i couldn't dream a better game for Cristiano to make his return. just fucking amazing. United plays on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Ohio State lost to Oregon yesterday, 35-28. the defense played like shit, the offense never stablished the run and quite frankly, Oregon outplayed them and outcoached them.

the Yankees actually won last night at the Mets, 8-7. they will go for the series win tonight.

ROH was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, Scenes from a Marriage, Last week Tonight, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Heels, Billions and American Rust.

the New Orleans Saints will take on Green Bay today in Jacksonville, Florida. they have to play there because of the hurricane. i'd love to see them win today but i have no clue how they are going to do now that Drew Brees has retired.

my mother's team is the Jets. my sister is a Steelers fan.

it is supposed to get hot and humid again this coming week. joy. mom has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday i believe. i have one on Friday. great.

shopping between snow storms...

right after i got home from the grocery store, it started to snow. so, i guess i got pretty lucky with that. of course, i wasn't that lucky while i was out.

the 2021 Topps cards were released today. i tried getting on the website and couldn't. by the time i could, everything was sold out. i checked out 2 Rite-Aids today and a Walgreens, no luck. i almost went to Meijer but decided against it. oh well.

Manchester United defeated West Ham yesterday 1-0 in extra time to advance in the FA Cup. the game nearly put me to sleep. thankfully, they won.

the Dayton Flyers started off great last night against VCU. of course, when the coach doesn't know when to use the timeouts correctly and never makes any fucking adjustments, i knew the good start was fools gold at best. sure enough, VCU finished the first half on a 10-0 run and Dayton only got the lead back once in the second half. and as soon as that happened, they pissed it away as fast as they could. VCU won 76-67. and the icing on the cake is their game this weekend against Saint Joe's has been postponed because of COVID going on with Saint Joe's. lovely.

Black Art in the Absence of Light was excellent last night. i recommend everyone watching it.

when your fears become reality...

before i get to the Ohio State ass whipping last night, a little poetry news.

i sent out 29 poems today. 3 each to Yellow Mama, Terror House Magazine and The Beatnik Cowboy; 5 each to Horror Sleaze Trash, Synchronized Chaos (already accepted for publication), The Ramingo's Porch and Misfit Magazine. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdict.

so, when Ohio State had to settle for a field goal last night in the second quarter, i feared the worst. it was painfully obvious that even if the defense was at full strength, they couldn't keep the speed of Alabama from killing them. and sure enough, i turned the damn game off before halftime. i might have watched 3 or 4 minutes of the second half. and i have watched enough football in my life to know that Alabama was good enough that there would be no what ifs... even allowed in the game. now, it sucked that Ohio State lost their running back on the first play of the game. but, i did like what Ryan Day told his team. no one is going to feel sorry for you. there's a coach that keeps it real all the time. so, hats off to Alabama for winning the national championship. they earned it and they deserve it. Alabama won 52-24.

Monday Night Raw was a little crazy last night. Drew McIntyre tested positive for Covid, so that made everything even crazier than usual. now, i did enjoy the end of the show, which was even more fucking nuts. but, when you have Alexa Bliss shooting fire and blinding Randy Orton... i'm in.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight.

i did watch the Manchester United game this afternoon at Burnley. if United got anything out of the game, they would go top of the league for the first time after the new year in 8 fucking years. thanks to a brilliant strike from Paul Pogba, United won 1-0. they are now 3 points ahead of Liverpool, who they happen to play this weekend. that alcohol is going to taste so damn good tonight.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

i got to bed last night around 5 AM. sure enough, i saw the clock at 6 AM. fuck me. mom woke me up around 10 because the guy from Orkin was here. so yeah, not fun. i got a little nap this afternoon while icing my back down. joy.

Smackdown and 205 Live were both pretty good last night. the Thunderdome was a little bit of fresh air for the most part.

Room 104 was excellent last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was very good last night.

we have some winter weather coming our way. i know, holy shit. it is January after all. but, with these fucking idiots around here, you'd think it's the end of the world. the grocery store today was a fucking zoo. and of course, i have been in pain since i tried to go to sleep last night. good times.

i forgot to mention i wrote my first 2 poems of 2020 the other night. i'm hoping to have another batch of poems ready to go out on my birthday.

NXT UK was pretty good last night.

Young Sheldon was good last night.

The Unicorn was pretty funny last night.

Will & Grace was fucking hilarious last night.

Perfect Harmony was excellent last night.

the New York Rangers defeated the Islanders last night 3-2. the Rangers scored the winning goal in the last 30 seconds of the game. i fucking loved it.

i have no damn clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'm shooting for the morning, but i also am not sure when my sister is coming down, what will the weather be like tomorrow, etc. etc.

a comfortable summer day... WTF?

in late July, i'm used to the air you can wear and breaking into a sweat walking down the driveway to get the paper. today, i was able to turn off the air conditioner, open some windows, actually do some work outside and not die of a heat stroke.

i took mom out shopping today. it had been months since we had been to Menards. she had some rebates to use and i had a list of shit we needed. we found most of what we were looking for. after that, we went to Waffle House. she needed a place where she could sit and relax for a bit.

i got the trash done before working on this.

the New York Yankees left a small village on base last night and lost at Minnesota, 8-6. hopefully, they will win tonight.

Divorce was good last night.

Desus & Mero was fucking hilarious last night.

Monday Night Raw felt like something that was thrown together at the last minute. i hated that they barely showed any of the returning females on the show. at least the 24/7 shit was pretty funny. and having Bray Wyatt attack Mick Foley was very good.

enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, Deadliest Catch and Miz & Mrs. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

it's really just a series of naps...

one thing i hate about myself is i am interested in so many fucking things and my brain is still capable of consuming it all. at least, that is what i am telling myself while watching wrestling at 5 in the morning, still waiting to go to bed. and then, like magic, up out of bed 4 1/2 hours later, ready for the world. i still think i'm secretly doing this because part of me fully believes i'll be dead by 50.

the New York Yankees got rained out again last night. that game will be made up in a doubleheader in August. the Yankees play a doubleheader today to make up for the first rain out against the Orioles. hopefully, they will win both games.

here are your highlights from the NHL playoffs last night:

here are your highlights from the playoffs and NBA Draft Lottery last night:

i got 3 out of the 4 finalists on The Voice right last night. i shouldn't be surprised that Blake got 3 to the finals once again. i suppose, just like last season, he'll lose again. this time to John.

Smackdown was good last night. way too much talking for me though.

205 Live was really good last night.

Miz & Mrs. was hilarious last night.

The Jim Jefferies Show was excellent last night.

Deadliest Catch was crazy last night.

What's My Name: Muhammad Ali was good last night. most of the footage was from before i was born, so i did find it interesting.

a day of shopping

when mom told me she wanted to go out shopping after her eye appointment today, i figured she wanted to go shopping for herself. much to my surprise, it was an early Christmas for me today. first up was Dollar Tree, where she found the plastic placemats she has been looking for and a steamer for some vegetables. i got my usual batch of cheap football and baseball cards. then, we went to Shoe Carnival. they were having a buy one get one at 50% off sale, so mom told me to go look for some new shoes. i mentioned to her that i wanted some new shoes as the shoes i had were the shoes most likely to be worn by white nationalists. i decided i needed to change that ASAP. so, i found two pairs of Skechers that i really liked. they have the memory foam in them that really helps my feet. both of those with the sale were under $100. after that, we went to Big Lots where i got some socks and some more little notebooks. all in all, not a bad day. then we went out to lunch. that was where the day turned.

we were in this place long enough to sit down, figure out what we wanted to eat; mom went to the bathroom and came back and no one had been to the table yet. mom motioned over the manager and he was very apologetic. as the manager was talking to us, our waitress came up to the table. she got our drinks and we placed our orders. the appetizer came out and about 5 minutes later, our meals came out. mom got some chicken wings and i got this pizza i like. the problem was, how the waitress was carrying the pizza, half of it ended up face down on the table. she gave me the half that was still on the platter and told me she would bring me a new one. 10 minutes later, here comes a new one, hotter than shit, and partly burnt. oh joy. when we got done, mom asked what she should do for the tip. i told her not to give her more than 10%. what a shit show.

and to top it all off, the chili from last night started to kick in on the drive home. i went a route where i could avoid most school buses. of course, there was a fucking accident on the way i wanted to go. so, i had to go about 10 minutes out of my way. thankfully, no school buses and no explosions in my stomach. i made it to the toilet and holy hell was unleashed when i got home.

Monday Night Raw was okay last night. most of the show was spent hyping the matches this Friday in Saudi Arabia. man, that's going to be fucking awkward.

Lip Sync Battle was pretty good last night, but easily forgettable as well.

The Voice was really good last night. the knockouts are when the show really starts to get really, really good.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, The Voice and Mayans M.C.

the New York Rangers play tonight at San Jose. i will probably watch some of the game, hoping for something that probably won't happen, a victory.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. with it being Halloween, i don't know what mom will want to do. i don't think we're handing out candy, and i don't think we're going to my sister's house like we did in the past. hell, maybe i'll get some writing done tomorrow, that's a concept.

i just saw that there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow. oh fucking great.

if you are giving out candy, don't be a cheap ass. those are the houses that get destroyed. always remember that.

until tomorrow kids. i have trash to go pick up.
