i have a doctor's appointment on April 1st. i need to get bloodwork done. i am patiently waiting, i mean as fucking patiently as i possibly fucking can, for my Medicaid cards to show up so i can make the fucking changes to all the shit i have going on. i need to cancel Anthem, but i'm not doing that until the cards show up. and what really pisses me off, if i have been in the system since the 1st, why don't i have any cards 24 fucking days later? makes no fucking sense possible. i got a text from Kroger today that my Rybelsus will cost $2.657.56 to fill. basically, i am now in a Leonard Cohen song where it is way more cost effective to die than continue to struggle to live.
speaking of that, mom's doctor's appointment yesterday was interesting, she is a bit of a chatty person, always her nature. so, she admitted to having thoughts of suicide, etc. one, that pissed me off as it clearly is a reflection on the job i am doing as caretaker. second, of course they want her to think about taking some more pills to perhaps lighten her mood. third, why the fuck are these appointments two fucking hours long.
we went to Arby's after the appointment and got home in time to watch Monday Night Raw. it was a really good show, once again.
The Voice was very good last night.

right after i got home from the grocery store, it started to snow. so, i guess i got pretty lucky with that. of course, i wasn't that lucky while i was out.
the 2021 Topps cards were released today. i tried getting on the website and couldn't. by the time i could, everything was sold out. i checked out 2 Rite-Aids today and a Walgreens, no luck. i almost went to Meijer but decided against it. oh well.
Manchester United defeated West Ham yesterday 1-0 in extra time to advance in the FA Cup. the game nearly put me to sleep. thankfully, they won.
the Dayton Flyers started off great last night against VCU. of course, when the coach doesn't know when to use the timeouts correctly and never makes any fucking adjustments, i knew the good start was fools gold at best. sure enough, VCU finished the first half on a 10-0 run and Dayton only got the lead back once in the second half. and as soon as that happened, they pissed it away as fast as they could. VCU won 76-67. and the icing on the cake is their game this weekend against Saint Joe's has been postponed because of COVID going on with Saint Joe's. lovely.
Black Art in the Absence of Light was excellent last night. i recommend everyone watching it.
here are your links for this day of Black History Month:
i had a dream last night i was still living on the farm and the cats had mutated into demons trying to kill me. the funny thing is, i think i got almost 5 hours of sleep. go figure.
the New York Yankees won yesterday over Cleveland, 6-5. they will go for the series win this afternoon.
the New Orleans Saints play this afternoon against the Chargers. i believe the game is on CBS, so i will probably watch some of it.
NJPW was really good last night.
ROH was good last night.
i figured out this morning where my next 11 poems are going. i believe i will get those out tomorrow, probably while i'm doing my laundry.
enjoy some music:
and now some of this and that:
on the DVR tonight will be Holey Moley, Big Brother, the season finale of City on a Hill, Succession, The Righteous Gemstones and Last Week Tonight.
i could feel the humidity rising when i went out to get the paper this morning. i get the feeling today is going to be one of those days parked in front of the television with ice on my back in my massage chair. joy.
i will try to be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays. in case i'm not, here is a preview of the game against Wolves.
i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.
until tomorrow kids...

it's just so fucking great to have arthritis really bad in both of my hands and have a computer mouse that has a quick trigger. it's an easy way to get really fucking frustrated quickly. highly recommended if you need a reason to drink or murder.
i was really disappointed with the New York Rangers last night. they started out passive once again, thinking that all they need to do is show up for good things to happen for them on the ice. thank god The King was on fire in the net for the Rangers. he had 21 damn saves in the first period alone. the Rangers got their act together at the start of the second and scored first. sadly, they once again didn't keep their foot on the gas and Ottawa scored to even the game going into the 3rd period. i wasn't in love with the officiating last night and i certainly wasn't in love with the icing that didn't get called on what ended up being the winning goal for Ottawa. the Rangers lost 2-1 and pissed away a game where their goalie was easily the best player on the ice. now, most people believe that was the best Ottawa could play and it's painfully obvious the Rangers can play much, MUCH better. hopefully that happens in Game 2 on Saturday.
the New York Yankees got a great game last night from Tanaka (97 pitches to throw a complete game 3 hit shutout) and just enough offense to beat Chris Sale and Boston 3-0. they start a series back at home tonight against Baltimore.
i was pleased with what the New Orleans Saints did last night in the draft. they had the best cornerback in the draft fall in their laps at #11 and went with their best player available at #32. hopefully they use the rest of the picks in the draft to continue to bolster the shitty defense and maybe get a nice new toy for the offense.
The Big Bang Theory was really funny last night.
Life in Pieces was fucking hilarious once again last night.
Lip Sync Battle was an instant classic last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, VICE, NJPW and Real Time with Bill Maher.
rounds 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft are tonight as well as some playoff hockey. i'll probably catch bits and pieces of all of that and the baseball game.
i think my mother is doing better. i wish she was a little more aware at times. i've had a bad back for so damn long now, i'm really cognizant of each move and taking my time. sadly, she isn't. so, watching her almost fall because she doesn't realize where she's sitting on the bed is a little hard for me. and of course, since i was raised by assholes, i usually will have an asshole response, i suppose that's how genetics works.
congrats to former Dayton signee McKinley Wright on choosing Colorado as his new college. i hope you enjoy the weed and the middle of the PAC 12 instead of actually winning a conference like you could have at Dayton. this was my fear of Dayton picking an older coach who looks at the job as a destination. it's not. that's why i loved having a young coach who is hungry to earn his way out of Dayton. you can only do that by winning and doing so on the national stage. instead, the young AD listened to all the old fucks who think that Dayton is just as good nationally as Xavier, Butler and Gonzaga. now, i really hope i am wrong about Anthony Grant and what he will be able to do at Dayton. and i also don't want to be the asshole laughing when an alumni has to be fired from the program. all that being said, the program still doesn't have a fucking point guard. i still know enough about basketball that you have to have a good point guard if you even want to dream about winning games. sadly, the blue hairs that love this program to death only care that one of their own is now running the show.
i hope everyone has a great weekend. i will try to be on here before the Rangers play in the afternoon tomorrow.
