 sometimes life gets to that point where all the days just bleed together and you can end up in a bad movie that just bores you to death. these nights of 3 hours of sleep have me spinning my wheels. the rest of the day is just catching naps when i can and trying to play catch up with the news, sports, etc. joy.

i did watch plenty of football yesterday. i won a little money, but not nearly as much as i was hoping to.

well, it could have been worse...

 i didn't get to sleep until after 4 AM this morning. i got up a little after 9. that was a few minutes after the Manchester United game started. they were playing at Aston Villa. the game finished 0-0. honestly, it could have been much worse. but, at least they got a point out of the game. still, it is the worst start they have had in the Premier League. ETH will find out this week if he will still have the head coaching job at United. my best guess is if they have the next coach already lined up, he will get fired. if not, they will keep him, at least until the summer.

Ohio State defeated Iowa yesterday, 35-7.

the Yankees won Game 1 at home against the Royals last night, 6-5.

not what i was hoping for...

 so, i made it to the doctor's office for my appointment today. my A1C was up, which means the Rybelsus did absolutely nothing for me. the only numbers i really liked was my blood pressure. after the appointment was over, they sent me upstairs to get some x-rays done on my left shoulder and elbow. those came back normal. oh well. i did get my flu shot today. 

i took a little nap after i got home. the guy that cuts our grass woke me up as he was blowing the leaves around. hopefully, this will be the last time he has to mow the grass.

well, Manchester United lost yesterday at home to Tottenham, 3-0. Bruno got a weak red card which really baffles me that VAR couldn't tell just how weak the red card was. fuck, even the commentators that dislike Manchester United said it was harsh. but, just more of the same. i'm not sure what the disconnect is between ETH and the team.

the New Orleans Saints lost at Atlanta yesterday, 26-24. 

the Yankees beat the Pirates yesterday at home, 6-4. they finished the season 94-68. they have the #1 seed in the American League playoffs. they will face either the Royals or Orioles on October 5th to start the ALDS.

the season finale of Industry was excellent last night.

Power Book II: Ghost was really good last night. next week is the series finale.

the Yankees swept Oakland yesterday, winning 7-4. the magic number to win the AL East is now 1. they are off tonight and start a series at home on Tuesday against Baltimore.

 i wanted to go to the bank today. i also got a text from the eye doctor saying my new glasses were in. so, i really wanted to get going today but my back had other plans. i'm guessing 3 hours of sleep didn't help my cause. it has been hell today trying to manage the pain in my left arm. joy.

 i know i mentioned something the other day about wanting to redo my room. well, the problem is i actually measured, and what i wanted to do isn't going to work. so, back to the drawing board. yesterday was pretty crazy. i did get a poem written late last night. i was pretty happy about that.

the Yankees won yesterday at home against the Red Sox, 14-4. Ben Rice became the first Yankees rookie to hit 3 HR in the same game. hopefully, they will win the series tonight.

the Euro 2024 matches yesterday were crazy. England defeated Switzerland on penalty kicks, 5-3. Netherlands defeated Turkey, 2-1. so, in the semifinals, Spain will play France and England takes on Netherlands.

at the Copa America yesterday, Colombia crushed Panama, 5-0. Uruguay beat Brazil 4-2 on penalty kicks. so, in the semifinals, Canada plays Argentina and Colombia takes on Uruguay.

 hard to believe today is the last day of June. i went to bed last night before 2 AM. sadly, all that means anymore is i will be up by 6 AM. sure enough. at least my blood sugar was lower. i got the notice in the mail yesterday why the Rybelsus was denied. apparently, just because a drug is unavailable, doesn't mean you can change over to the another drug in the same class. apparently, the insurance is ok with me going without my medicine and just get so bad you have no choice but to go on insulin for the rest of your life. fuck me.
