i watched the Ohio State game last night, really hoping they were going to destroy Oregon and rub their noses in it. when Ohio State got up 34-0 i was so fucking happy. they ended up winning the Rose Bowl, 41-21. they will play in the semifinals of the college football playoff against Texas, which survived Arizona St, 39-31 in 2OT.

now it feels like winter...
i think the wind chill was in the single digits today. i guess it was a good day for the company we use for heating and air to check our old ass furnace today. the guy was somewhat shocked the air filter looked as good as it did. it still runs well for being old, amazingly. the first two of mom's Christmas gifts showed up today. now i hope the other 3 will get here before Christmas. two are coming from foreign countries, so i know the chances are low that they will actually get here in 20 days. fuck, Christmas in 20 days. time does fucking fly the closer you get to death.
so, i got some good news last night from The Rye Whiskey Review. i'm not going to spoil it until it is posted there, but it certainly gave me an interesting night of dreams.
The Masked Singer was crazy as usual last night.

goodbye to june...
hard to believe today is the last day of June. i went to bed last night before 2 AM. sadly, all that means anymore is i will be up by 6 AM. sure enough. at least my blood sugar was lower. i got the notice in the mail yesterday why the Rybelsus was denied. apparently, just because a drug is unavailable, doesn't mean you can change over to the another drug in the same class. apparently, the insurance is ok with me going without my medicine and just get so bad you have no choice but to go on insulin for the rest of your life. fuck me.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday at Toronto, 9-3. hopefully, they will split the series today.

managing my rising stress level...
so, i was maybe about 30 seconds away from a pleasant sleep when i heard my mother yell from her bedroom oh my god. i put on my glasses and got out of bed. it was 5 AM. i went into her room and turned on the light. she thought something had fallen from the ceiling and landed on her. i told her it was a dream as there was nothing that landed on her. i watched her then struggle to get back into bed. so, i tucked her back into bed and turned out the light. i got shit sleep until about 10 AM. mom got out bed today well after noon. joy. the rest of my day has been dealing with my doctor's office and Rite Aid. thankfully, that all worked out in the end. it is like an obstacle course now where i live. 4 different roads are under construction. i know my luck, the Highlander will find a nail or something.
the New York Rangers won last night at home against New Jersey, 3-1. they play tonight at Carolina in a battle of the top two teams in the division. the Rangers are up 4 points. hopefully, after tonight it will be 6.

it never fails
so, when i fall in love with someone, i fall rather hard. it seems the more i try, the less it actually happens. so, i have been trying to take it slower, enjoy the scene, be honest and full of empathy. then came the spanish princess. i had been pursuing her for years, but never stepping over the line. now, it was easy to do since she is in Colorado and i'm in Ohio. well, a few months ago, she texted me and told me that she was into me. she was the first to say i love you. this made my world. the dream woman and i finally had found her. now, i knew of all her battles with cancer and other health scares, but anyone that knows me knows that i know that is all part of the package. she texted me this morning to let me know she can't do a relationship right now. that i don't deserve to be "stuck" in something where i can't get all the love i deserve. i'm not sure why she thinks i deserve it, as i have never been in a relationship where someone loved me as much as i loved them. i told her that i will always love her, always think of her as a friend and will forever be there for her. i get the feeling that she thinks her cancer is back again and she has used up her 9 lives. so yeah, this is probably going to be one those weekends where the depression grows a little deeper and the poems get even more sad than usual.

they say i should sleep more...
anytime i hear that, all i can think is i will when i'm fucking dead. i did a little poetry work last night. i know my next round of submissions. hopefully, i will get those 20 poems out this weekend.
so, i had Kentucky going to the Final 4. whoops.
