it never fails

so, when i fall in love with someone, i fall rather hard. it seems the more i try, the less it actually happens. so, i have been trying to take it slower, enjoy the scene, be honest and full of empathy. then came the spanish princess. i had been pursuing her for years, but never stepping over the line. now, it was easy to do since she is in Colorado and i'm in Ohio. well, a few months ago, she texted me and told me that she was into me. she was the first to say i love you. this made my world. the dream woman and i finally had found her. now, i knew of all her battles with cancer and other health scares, but anyone that knows me knows that i know that is all part of the package. she texted me this morning to let me know she can't do a relationship right now. that i don't deserve to be "stuck" in something where i can't get all the love i deserve. i'm not sure why she thinks i deserve it, as i have never been in a relationship where someone loved me as much as i loved them. i told her that i will always love her, always think of her as a friend and will forever be there for her. i get the feeling that she thinks her cancer is back again and she has used up her 9 lives. so yeah, this is probably going to be one those weekends where the depression grows a little deeper and the poems get even more sad than usual.

a change in plans...

so, i figured i would do the blog now instead of trying to squeeze it in after the Manchester United game this afternoon. mostly because i also need to go to the bank today as well.

the Dayton Flyers won last night at Rhode Island, 63-57. thankfully, they shot way better in the second half than the first.

Monday Night Raw was good last night.

Celebrity Big Brother was good last night. Shanna was the one evicted last night. i think there is just two weeks left in the show. i imagine it will come down to Miesha and Todrick.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be NXT.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Boston. hopefully, the boys are rested and ready to go.

late tonight, the USA men's hockey team takes on Slovakia in the quarterfinals of the Winter Olympics. hopefully, they will find a way to get a win tonight.

Manchester United plays this afternoon at home against Brighton. i'm hoping United can find a way to be clinical in the final third for a change. i won't be shocked if this game is another struggle or even if United loses.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow...

i never really cared for this day

of course, i imagine i would have a much better attitude about this day if i was in a relationship or actually had a woman in my life that loved me more than as just a good friend. and to top off today, the snow that was supposed to be 50 miles south of here somehow ended up 50 miles north and is right on top of us. that light dusting we were supposed to get is going to be 4+ inches. fuck me, i'm so fucking tired of winter.

my back nearly went out on me twice today. thank god i remembered the stretches i learned for this type of oh shit moment. the good thing was my back was hurting so much that my neck felt better. i'm slowly falling apart.

i watched a good portion of hockey in the Olympics today. good to see The King get another shutout for Sweden. i'm really looking forward to the USA vs. Russia game in the morning. hopefully i'll actually get some sleep before the game comes on.

so De La Soul was allowing people to download their entire music catalog for free today. i wasn't going to pass that up. so, i put in my email for their first album. i'm still waiting for the download code. my luck, when it arrives i won't be able to download it. at least not for free.

thankfully, my amazon.com order showed up a day early. so i've got plenty of new shit to listen to for a few months. of course, being in this house all day and night long, chances are i'll go through those 11 cd's in a few days.

in my boredom and frustration today, i took some photos...

you can see the rest of them in the slideshow on the right hand side of this blog.

not really sure what i'm going to be watching tonight on tv. i believe the NBA All-Star weekend festivities begin this evening. i suppose if i'm bored enough i'll check that out. of course, there is always my guilty pleasure tree house show on Animal Planet. beats watching the snow pile up.

i'm sure the birds are happy i got my broken bones out there to feed them today. i did see all the cats today, amazingly enough.

that's all for me. i do hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend. be well, be creative, be drunk, be naked by a fire but don't get too close...

peace and chicken grease.
