well, i was hoping to have this blog done before the Manchester derby started today. obviously, that didn't happen. United is losing right now, 1-0.
it has been raining since last night. i'm guessing the pain finally got to me and i didn't as much sleep as i simply passed out from it. good times.
the Dayton Flyers won last night at home against #6 Marquette, 71-63. considering they were down 13 more than once in the game, i was really happy Dayton found a way to win.
i did watch some of the Army vs. Navy game yesterday.

Saturday Night's Main Event was great last night.

the New Orleans Saints are playing right now at home against Washington.
a big thank you to everyone for checking out my latest published poems:
mom didn't get out bed yesterday until 5 PM. she asked me how do i look? i told her she didn't have bags under her eyes anymore. she was asleep for more than 14 hours. i barely sleep that long in a week. the way my back and left shoulder feel, i think the only way i am sleeping is the pain makes me sleep. and that's not good sleep. that's basically fighting death. and quite honestly, i have no interest in fighting death.
Manchester United won yesterday at home against Barnsley, 7-0. holy shit, that was beautiful to watch.
the Yankees won last night in Seattle, 11-2. the magic number to make the playoffs is 1. the magic number to clinch the division is 8. they have a 4 game lead over the Orioles in the AL East. i think they have a 1 1/2 game lead over Cleveland for the best record in the American League.
NXT was very good last night.
Deadliest Catch was good last night.
enjoy some music:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite, Big Brother and Inside The NFL.
grocery shopping was difficult today. i iced my shoulder down before i went. that didn't last nearly as long as i hoped. and although i did save a good amount of money today, everything cost me over $200. fuck me.
i need to get started on dinner, so that's all for me today kids.
i should be on here tomorrow after i take mom to get some blood work done.
until then my friends...

the Yankees pissed me off so much last night, i was shaving and showering at 3 in the morning. sometimes, i just do that to (hopefully) change up the mojo. i guess time will tell if it actually fucking works. i did get some decent sleep after the shower, so there's that.
i had to go to the post office today to mail some books back to my partner in crime (CRK). it amazes me the number of characters in this town that are just dumb as shit. thankfully, i'm not one of those.
so yeah, the Yankees lost last night at the Nationals, 5-2. they are off tonight and start a series at home tomorrow night against St. Louis.
Big Brother was good last night. i have no damn clue who gets evicted tonight. part of me hopes it will be Angela, but i'm not getting my hopes up.
AEW Dynamite was good last night.

so, i got everything i wanted to do last night at 3 in the morning. i wrote 3 new poems, made all my bets, went through 500 fucking emails, etc. so, i figured i would get some sleep, wake up, rinse and repeat. imagine my surprise when i woke up at 5:45 and had to take a raging shit. after that, i was like well shit, i guess i'm up now. took my Rybelsus, put the clean dishes away, made some coffee, etc. i imagine at some point today 2 hours of sleep won't be enough.
today is going to be a busy one... joy.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both good last night.
AEW Rampage was good last night.

the USWNT plays Brazil today at the Olympics for the gold medal.
the USA men's basketball team plays France today for the gold medal.
i'm sure i will watch plenty of sports today. the weather is supposed to be pretty good today. i have already turned off the air conditioning and opened up the house a bit. i also put out some hot pepper suet for the birds. i'm hoping a squirrel makes the mistake of trying to eat some. that is always pure comedy.
i know mom will be thrilled she will be able to see the Wrexham game today.
the Yankees play a doubleheader today at home against the Texas Rangers. i have no clue how they will do given they just played a doubleheader a couple of days ago. i hope they get some good starting pitching today.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.
i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

so, i was up at 3 in the morning doing the dishes in the bathtub. i know there is a poem there somewhere. i really wanted to sleep in this morning. i was still up before 9. mom is just now getting out of bed. maybe i'll sleep more as i approach death.
well, let me start off where this left off yesterday.
Manchester United lost 3-0 yesterday at home to Bournemouth. the boys were absolutely pathetic. i don't have much hope for the match on Tuesday at home against Bayern Munich.
the Dayton Flyers won yesterday at home against Troy, 82-70.
i did watch a bit of the Army vs. Navy game yesterday.
the MLS final was excellent yesterday. the Columbus Crew won, 2-1, over defending champs LAFC.

the New York Rangers lost last night at Washington, 4-0. they are back home tonight against the Kings.
i will probably go to the store later today. i am low on bread, etc. i can't wait until the fucking kitchen is done.
the New Orleans Saints are at home today against Carolina. the Saints are up currently, 7-0.
i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

so, i did get mom out to the contractor's office this afternoon. it was a bitch to find since the street it is on has 2 addresses with the same number (fucking East Dayton/Kettering), but we eventually got there and on time. thankfully, the number they had for the kitchen renovation was pretty much what mom and i were willing to go to for it, so it is a go. this will greatly upgrade the kitchen and will finally put a fucking dishwasher in there. my back will scream with the pure delight of not having to stand there for hours on end scrubbing dishes.
now, my back has been killing me all day. the 40 minute drive to and back from the contractor's office didn't do me any favors. and i still have dinner to cook tonight. fun.
the Yankees won last night at Detroit, 4-1. they are up 1-0 so far tonight.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
i did see who the New Orleans Saints kept for their 53 man roster. i'm sure there will be some changes come tomorrow.

i haven't been able to figure out the fucking noise coming from the computer. all the hacks that worked before haven't worked now. so, i figure i'm going to start taking shit off the hard drive (music, pictures) and once that is done, take a trip to Best Buy and get a new one. i think i'm also going to get a different desk and some wire cabinets to make this corner of my room like an insane person's office. if i get this done, i'm sure i will share some pics.

there has always been a certain amount of dysfunction that comes with the holidays in my life. it never fails, no matter how i try to change anything. so, in the last few years, i have just quit trying to change it and fucking just ride the wave. i'm not sure if that is any better, but i am not in a position to analyze those things at this time. trying to maintain this blog while taking care of all of my mother's needs and thinking i can have a small business and hopefully a relationship is basically making sure i will have an early death. but, you know, put on the brave face and just get it done. that might sum up my entire adult life.
today, i went to Rite Aid and waited 30 minutes for the prescription that they supposedly were working on when i got the other two yesterday. i don't mind the waiting since these prescriptions are free, but i know that is going to change in 12 days. my patience might be running thin come 2023. after that, i went to the local grocery store. Tuesdays are the days they take the Golden Buckeye card, which is what senior citizens can use to get a discount on their groceries. i always laugh when i get the discount as well. must be all the gray in the goatee. i'll do part two of the grocery shopping tomorrow at Kroger. i'm really trying to stock up since we have a winter storm coming Thursday night.
mom had a meeting with a social worker today. i think that was productive for her. now, i'm trying to get her laundry done while writing this blog, in hopes to have this done before the Dayton game at 7.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.
i did catch a little of the Packers win last night over the Rams, 24-12.

i always love walking outside and it feels like you just stepped into a bowl of soup. the rain we were supposed to get today hasn't happened yet. joy.
so, i didn't watch much of the Yankees game yesterday. i really don't feel like watching them when they are playing like shit. they lost to a A's team that probably couldn't beat a wet paper bag on most nights, 4-1. they start a series tonight in Anaheim against the Angels. the lead in the division is down to 7 1/2 games.
i did watch some of the MLS games yesterday:
Big Brother was good last night.
VICE was excellent last night.
The Chi was really good last night. the season finale is next week.
City on a Hill was great last night.

yesterday was one of those days where i think i just about ran the whole fucking gamut of emotions. but, before we get on that damn rollercoaster, a little poetry news first.
i sent out 8 poems today. 5 to Synchronized Chaos and 3 to Terror House Magazine. when i hear back from these places, i will pass along the verdicts.
the Yankees defeated the Tigers yesterday, 5-4 in 10 innings. the Yankees had a perfect 6-0 homestand. they are off tonight and start a series in Minnesota tomorrow night.
the New York Rangers lost yesterday at Tampa, 3-2. they fell into their old traps once again. they pissed away a 2-0 lead. they were badly outshot and couldn't stay out of the damn penalty box. that being said, Tampa scored the winning goal with 41 seconds left. i hope the Rangers bounce back to win Tuesday night and take a 3-1 lead back to MSG.
the USMNT had a 0-0 draw with Uruguay yesterday. as much as i would have loved a victory, at least they didn't lose 3-0 to them like Mexico did.
here are your highlights from Game 2 of the NBA Finals last night.
VICE was very good last night.
The Man Who Fell To Earth was excellent last night.
Ziwe was hilarious last night.

today is the last day of April. so, of course, it is raining this morning. i hope everyone has enjoyed the videos and my SoundCloud recordings for the month. below are the final 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:
the Yankees won last night at the Royals, 12-2. they play again tonight.
the New York Rangers defeated Washington last night, 3-2. the Rangers will play Pittsburgh in the first round of the playoffs, starting on Tuesday at home.
the New Orleans Saints took a defensive back last night in the 3rd round, Alontae Taylor from Tennessee. he looks like he could be a good fit on defense and especially, special teams. the Saints have 2 draft picks today, so i'm hoping they get guys that can fill roles that they still have open. the remaining rounds of the NFL Draft start today at noon.
Smackdown and NXT Level Up were pretty good last night.
AEW Rampage was really good last night as well.
Real Time with Bill Maher was hilarious last night.
A Black Lady Sketch Show was fucking great last night.
here are your highlights from the NBA playoffs last night.

i'm doing my laundry today. i figure i better get it done now, while i have the time.
my trip to Big Lots yesterday was a little fruitful. i pulled an autograph out of one of the three basketball card packs i got. they didn't have the coffee i was looking for, but i did find a cherry drink i hadn't seen before. with my coupon i spent a little over $30. the worth of the cards was over $75. i'm cool with that.
i did watch some of the college basketball games yesterday. by tonight, the Final 4 will be set.
i did catch some of the MLS games yesterday and a couple NHL games as well.
