we have rain moving in and my arthritis is raging. exactly what i was fucking hoping for for Christmas. fuck me.
the New Orleans Saints got whipped last night at Green Bay, 34-0.
a delightful trip into the dark mind of an evil genius or simply the musings of an asshole

i almost got some decent sleep last night. almost. but, i did get up this morning and got some shit done before i had to get mom up. she had company coming over this morning for breakfast. she of course missed the text message sent this morning, so i only got her up 5 minutes before that company came. but, in the end, all went well. breakfast was good (biscuits and gravy) and everyone had enough to eat.
the Dayton Flyers lost last night at UC, 66-59. you could tell Dayton was playing their 3rd game in 7 days. when you have no legs, jump shots don't go in. sure enough, it took Dayton over 11 minutes last night to get their first field goal.
the New York Rangers finally played like they gave a shit last night and won at Dallas, 3-1. helps when your goalie stops 41 of 42 shots.
being a Type 2 diabetic is already frustrating enough. and then i started using the drug Trulicity, and i lost a little weight, my numbers started getting better, etc. so, of course, once the rich found out that these drugs actually worked on losing weight, they started hoarding them. now, the manufacturer has no Trulicity. i haven't had it for almost a month now. i know any progress i made on my A1C is lost now. Friday will be the actual acknowledgement of that. i can't wait to see what drug they are going to try to put me on next. mom told me not to worry about the cost. i laughed as i know all the money spent now will be money that won't be there when she dies and i'll need it. as i joked with her yesterday at her doctor's appointment when she asked what i wanted to do with all this and my immediate response was die. i told her if you actually look at all this logically, my death clears most of this shit up. and no one would have to worry about my A1C if i'm dead. she told me to stop it, but i could see in her eyes, she knew i was right. so yeah, should be a really fucking fun summer. and don't worry, i definitely have no plans to die before my new book with C. Renee Kiser comes out. after that though...

here are your highlights from Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final. i believe Florida is starting to panic and Edmonton can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Game 6 is Friday night.
if there wasn't just enough rain in the area to drive my arthritis nuts, i might have actually had a good day. instead, i didn't. now, Kroger did get my Trulicity in, so that nightmare was avoided. of course, when i got back home, Rite Aid had texted me to tell me i had a prescription ready. so, i went back out to there. i got back home and i could hear the squirrels in the attic, in the garage area. i went outside to look and there was one staring down at me. i then walked over to the side of the house where the trap was. the trap was on the ground, nothing in it. so, now i'm wondering did they tear another hole in the roof to get in. i told mom to call Orkin. of course, they haven't shown up yet. damn flying rats.
by the way, i did write 3 more poems last night. hopefully, that will continue tonight as well.
the New York Yankees lost yesterday at Baltimore, 7-2. they start a series tonight at home against Detroit.
the rain finally stopped, but in came the fog. that Stephen King kind of fog. sadly, i wasn't in the mood for writing last night. the rain did me in.
the New York Rangers won last night in OT at home against Buffalo, 4-3.
mom was hoping to go out to this store a few miles away to look at some plants. i looked at her and asked if she had looked outside. she noticed it was raining. oh well.
i really hope everyone took some time today to educate yourself on Juneteenth.
the New York Yankees lost both games of the doubleheader to the Red Sox yesterday, 6-2 and 4-1. it is so easy to see right now, this team fucking sucks without Aaron Judge.
got up early today for no reason once again. our contractor called this morning and said he couldn't make it after telling us last night he was going to be here early today. joy. so, i told mom fuck it, i'm going back to bed, which i eventually did. i've been trying to get as much rest as i can here lately as i know i have a long ass drive to make Thursday to take mom to a doctor's appointment. and considering how she doesn't do well in car rides, i'm not looking forward to it. so, i figured, i better be well rested when making the drive so i'm not on a short fuse. good times.

Monday Night Raw was really good last night.
i just wanted to thank everyone for the feedback on my two new SoundCloud recordings. i want to do more of those in 2023. that certainly is a goal.

the New York Knicks lost last night at home to Chicago, 118-117.
there has always been a certain amount of dysfunction that comes with the holidays in my life. it never fails, no matter how i try to change anything. so, in the last few years, i have just quit trying to change it and fucking just ride the wave. i'm not sure if that is any better, but i am not in a position to analyze those things at this time. trying to maintain this blog while taking care of all of my mother's needs and thinking i can have a small business and hopefully a relationship is basically making sure i will have an early death. but, you know, put on the brave face and just get it done. that might sum up my entire adult life.
today, i went to Rite Aid and waited 30 minutes for the prescription that they supposedly were working on when i got the other two yesterday. i don't mind the waiting since these prescriptions are free, but i know that is going to change in 12 days. my patience might be running thin come 2023. after that, i went to the local grocery store. Tuesdays are the days they take the Golden Buckeye card, which is what senior citizens can use to get a discount on their groceries. i always laugh when i get the discount as well. must be all the gray in the goatee. i'll do part two of the grocery shopping tomorrow at Kroger. i'm really trying to stock up since we have a winter storm coming Thursday night.
mom had a meeting with a social worker today. i think that was productive for her. now, i'm trying to get her laundry done while writing this blog, in hopes to have this done before the Dayton game at 7.
Monday Night Raw was very good last night.
so tonight is Game 1 of the New York Rangers playoff series against Pittsburgh. i am so fucking pumped because i truly believe this team has a chance to do something special this season. hopefully, i won't be broken in two like other seasons.
mom's appointment went well today. they did find some pre-cancer on her cheek and the bridge of her nose. but, they believe this cream they are prescribing for her will take care of that in 10 days. the spot where she had surgery on looks really good.
i went to the bank this morning to make a deposit. of course, it had to be fucking raining today.
i did get my order from Walk Off Wax yesterday. the best card i got in the packs was a 1987 Fleer Bo Jackson card. that made me happy.
for any of you happy that the Supreme Court is most likely going to overturn Roe v. Wade, please answer me this question. how many kids are you planning to adopt? if the answer is 0, then you fucking should understand why abortion should always be legal. if we are going back to the days of bloody hangers in back alleys, i can't wait to see how crazy this shit is really going to get. and trust me, when the rich kids get raped, they will still get their abortions.
American Song Contest was good last night. i can't wait for the finals.
Monday Night Raw was good last night.
last day of February and the sun is out like it is a fucking spring day. i'm not complaining though. i see better in my sunglasses anyway.
i wrote 3 poems today while my mom was doing her physical therapy. i typed them up when we got back home. i think they are pretty good.
i did get some baseball cards in the mail today. got 100 in some unopened packs that i bought on Wish.com. there were plenty of hall of famers in the packs. so, i probably made back what i spent on them.
i also got a money order today for some cards. i'm really happy my friend took advantage of this deal. $25 (postage paid) for 100 baseball cards. all of the cards are either rookies, all stars or hall of famers. if anybody reading this would be interested in this deal, email me and let me know.
one of my Amazon.com orders just showed up.
the New York Rangers lost to Vancouver last night, 5-2. the Rangers looked ragged last night and a bit tired. of course, 3 games in 4 nights can do that to you.
