Merry Christmas

a very Merry Christmas to everyone. i hope you have a wonderful day...

in case you missed it, here are my two gifts to all of you:

NXT was pretty good last night.

Hard Knocks was excellent last night.

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Dynamite.

i will be watching plenty of NFL and NBA games today.

so, i got up this morning and put out some suet for the birds. hopefully, the squirrels will make the mistake of trying to eat the hot pepper suet. after that, i made some cinnamon rolls for breakfast. and then after breakfast, mom and i exchanged gifts. she got me a couple of books, some supplies for my baseball cards, a Yankees t-shirt and a nice check. she was very happy with the gifts i got her. that always makes me happy.

i should be on here tomorrow before Manchester United plays at Wolves.

i hope everyone has a great Christmas Day.

until tomorrow kids...

the New York Knicks lost last night at home to Chicago, 118-117.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both really good last night.

AEW Rampage was excellent last night.

the final two episodes of Random Acts of Flyness were amazing last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

nothing on the DVR tonight.

the New Orleans Saints play today at Cleveland. i'd love to see the Saints win but i won't be shocked if they find a way to lose today.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of football today.

i might even venture down to the mailbox and see if anything has been delivered. it has warmed up some today. it is a balmy 5 degrees outside.

i will probably be on here tomorrow in the morning.

i hope everyone has a great Christmas Eve.

well, i think we're going to have a white Christmas...

so, i watched the temperature drop 40 fucking degrees in just a few hours last night. the winds were so bad, they were blowing open the door to our garage inside of our house. i believe our high today was -2 degrees. i haven't bothered to venture outside to see if a paper or the mail have been delivered. i highly doubt either have. the guy who mom picked to do our driveway showed up this morning and asked if we wanted it done. mom said no, as it didn't look like we got much snow (less than 3 inches) and we weren't planning on going anywhere.

but, i did do a little creative shit today. some of you have seen the first fruits of that, with my latest SoundCloud recording. look for another little nugget of gold late tonight most likely.

https://soundcloud.com/j-j-campbell/just-a-fading-soul

the New York Rangers won last night over the Islanders, 5-3. they came from behind for this win and that made me very happy.

i did watch some of the Jets vs. Jaguars game last night. let's just say there was really no reason to watch after halftime.

NJPW was excellent last night.

here are your NBA highlights from last night:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown, AEW Rampage and the final two episodes of Random Acts of Flyness. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

the New York Knicks play tonight at home against Chicago.

i think we're going to make some pasta tonight. i'm slowly getting better at doing that by myself. i like to think i can multi-task, but cooking with 3 or 4 burners going gets a little stressful for me still.

we have a windchill warning until tomorrow afternoon, so i'm going to guess it will be another day indoors. of course, there will be plenty of NFL games on tomorrow. i'm going to try to be on here before the Saints play at the Browns.

i hope the weather is better where you are. i hope you are warm and have all your Christmas shopping done. i wish all of you a great weekend.

laundry day, take 2...

so, mom decided she was going to do her laundry yesterday. and then, after watching it sit there for hours and hours, i asked her if she wanted my help doing her laundry. she asked why and i said i would like to do my laundry this weekend and i know if i wait on you to finish yours, i'll get to do mine on Thursday or Friday. so, i did her 3 loads last night. and now, as soon as i get this done, i'll do my 3 loads of laundry.

i think it was just hot enough in the house last night, and i had just enough alcohol in me, that given my back pain, i more or less just passed out in my massage chair. i woke up this morning at 5:15. the front door was still open and ESPN was still on. in hindsight, i should have just stayed in the chair. i got 2 lousy hours of sleep in my bed. god i just love having a pinched nerve.

i finally saw The Batman last night. i really enjoyed it. probably my second favorite Batman movie, only behind The Dark Knight. i thought Paul Dano was magnificent as the Riddler. he was so fucking creepy, it was great.

the Yankees won yesterday against Cleveland, 5-4. of course, everyone is talking about the Yankees fans throwing beer and shit at the Cleveland players. i can't defend the Yankees fans that did that. all i will say is the Cleveland player that climbed the fence to confront the Yankees fans in left field was stupid as fuck to do that. i am old enough to know when you dare incite a rabid fan base, you are asking for it. he should be happy this isn't the 70's and 80's or the beer would have been batteries, etc. the Yankees go for the sweep today. hopefully they will get it without any incidents.

the New York Rangers lost to Boston yesterday, 3-1. that probably means they are going to finish second in the division. they will at least have home ice for the first round, most likely against the Penguins.

here are your NBA highlights from the playoffs yesterday:

here are your 3 videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Barry, The Baby, Gaslit and The Man Who Fell to Earth.

i big thank you to everyone that checked out my latest SoundCloud recording:

i should be on here on Monday after i get back from taking mom to her physical therapy appointment in the afternoon.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

it never fails...

so, as i was taking my mother to her doctor's appointment today, the check engine light came on in the Highlander. again. now, i have learned over time, if the light stays solid and doesn't blink, the vehicle is fine to drive. so, i have to call the dealership in the morning and see when i can bring it up there to see what the fuck is wrong now.

as for my mother's doctor's appointment, she got all the questions she had answered. hopefully, given the new pills, she'll finally get some relief from the pain.

here are your three videos for this day of National Poetry Month:

AEW Dynamite was very good last night.

The Masked Singer was crazy last night.

Snowfall was awesome last night. just two episodes left in the season.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be How We Roll, Atlanta, NJPW and Desus & Mero. i did watch NXT UK on Peacock this afternoon. it was excellent.

the New York Rangers play at home tonight against the Penguins. hopefully, the boys will get a win.

i think i have to take mom to her accountant tomorrow. i'm not sure what time. i know i have some shit to get at Rite Aid tomorrow as well.

given that the New York Yankees home opener is tomorrow against the Red Sox, i will probably try to have the blog done in the morning.

a huge thank you to everyone for checking out my latest SoundCloud recording:

NXT was really good last night.

Deadliest Catch was crazy last night.

the Yankees won last night over the Phillies, 6-4. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

so the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup are set. on July 24, Qatar plays El Salvador and Mexico plays Honduras. on July 25, Costa Rica plays Canada and Jamaica plays USA.

here are your highlights from Game 6 of the NBA Finals:

i might watch some of the NHL expansion draft tonight, even though most of the picks have already leaked out.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW and Big Brother.

so, i guess the house next to me is going to be sold by this coming Monday. i have no damn clue who the new neighbors will be. i did find out today that the house next to them is going to be up for sale soon. and given the age of my other neighbors (85 and 92), that house should be up for sale soon as well. i know my wish for diversity won't come true, so someone younger or a whore would do nicely as well.

i have to take mom to have an echocardiogram done tomorrow afternoon. i will most likely be doing the blog when we get home from that.

i did get 2 boxes of Fairfield football cards today. i paid $10 for both boxes combined. the 2 Joe Burrow and 2 Justin Fields rookie cards i found in the boxes are worth more than the $10 i paid. good times.
