here we go...

so, the unofficial start of the second half of the baseball season begins today. the Yankees play a doubleheader down in Houston. as much as i'd love to see them win both games, i'd settle for a split. after the second game, the Yankees start a series tomorrow night in Baltimore.

AEW Dynamite was great last night.

Big Brother was good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, episode 2 of The Captain and the season finale of The Old Man. i'll watch NXT UK sometime tonight on Peacock.

i need to go out to mom's bank and deposit a check for her and get some cash out of the ATM. i'll probably do that in a bit.

i am only getting 3 1/2 hours of sleep anymore. but, i'm getting that in my massage chair with ice on my back, so it feels like it is better sleep for the most part. now, i wish i was one of these people that could sleep 8 hours like it was nothing. my brain is just too fucking active for that to happen i guess.

i should be on here tomorrow after i get my pills from Rite Aid in the afternoon.

until then kids...

it seems like i need to be doing 4 or 5 things at once at all times anymore...

so, that wild hair did get up my ass last night. for those of you that missed my latest Soundcloud recording, the link is below:

NXT was really good last night.

Deadliest Catch was crazy last night.

the Yankees won last night over the Phillies, 6-4. hopefully, they will win again tonight.

so the quarterfinals of the Gold Cup are set. on July 24, Qatar plays El Salvador and Mexico plays Honduras. on July 25, Costa Rica plays Canada and Jamaica plays USA.

here are your highlights from Game 6 of the NBA Finals:

i might watch some of the NHL expansion draft tonight, even though most of the picks have already leaked out.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, AEW and Big Brother.

so, i guess the house next to me is going to be sold by this coming Monday. i have no damn clue who the new neighbors will be. i did find out today that the house next to them is going to be up for sale soon. and given the age of my other neighbors (85 and 92), that house should be up for sale soon as well. i know my wish for diversity won't come true, so someone younger or a whore would do nicely as well.

i have to take mom to have an echocardiogram done tomorrow afternoon. i will most likely be doing the blog when we get home from that.

i did get 2 boxes of Fairfield football cards today. i paid $10 for both boxes combined. the 2 Joe Burrow and 2 Justin Fields rookie cards i found in the boxes are worth more than the $10 i paid. good times.

i guess i can call 5 hours good enough for sleep...

i actually got to bed at a somewhat decent hour last night (4 AM). that last book of cards had all football cards in it. i did find a few good ones that i pulled. so, i made a massive order from Amazon.com last night, hoping that it will give me enough supplies to get all these cards into sleeves and then i can start really trying to sell them.

we had a storm come through last night and knock our satellite out for a good chunk of the evening. i missed most of Monday Night Raw, but i did get to see the beginning and the end of it. i checked out what i missed online and i think the show was pretty good last night.

I May Destroy You was very good last night.

a little politics for a second. i'm not thrilled with Biden's pick for VP, but i can deal with it. it's more important to get this asshole out of office.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Hard Knocks.

the Yankees start a 2 game series tonight at home against Atlanta. hopefully, they can get back to winning.

the first round of the NHL playoffs started today. i'll be watching those on and off all night.

the finals of the MLS is Back tournament is tonight. Portland is playing Orlando. i'll watch most of that probably.

i have my last load of clothes in the washer.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get the grocery shopping done.

i need to pick up the trash here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

until tomorrow...

so this time, i was up when the sun decided to show...

i was going to go to bed around 3 last night, but that was when the thunderstorms decided to show up. so, instead of just writhing in pain while trying to sleep, i went through some baseball cards for the umpteenth time. actually, i found some hockey cards from 40 fucking years ago that are in decent shape. hopefully, i can get some money for them.

if any of you (or your friends, family, neighbors, enemies, etc.) have an interest in sports cards from 1959 until today, and you happen to be interested in buying some, please drop me a line at jcampb4593@aol.com. i am looking to sell, all of it if i can.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night.

Fuck That's Delicious was excellent last night.

I May Destroy You was very good last night, especially the ending.

the Yankees and the Phillies ended up in a tie last night, 2-2. i'm ready for baseball to finally be back.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Deadliest Catch and Dirty Jobs.

i might watch some of the MLS tonight, during commercial breaks.

i did listen to episode 300 of Notsam Wrestling this morning. you can find that by going here:
https://omny.fm/shows/notsam-wrestling/the-big-show-notsam-wrestling-300

most of the hockey cards i found last night i'll be selling for $5 and under, mostly because the names were scratch offs and they of course have been scratched off, so you see the names now. people like Bobby Clarke, Jim Craig, Ray Bourque, Wayne Gretzky, etc. those last two i might want a bit more for, but everything is negotiable.

plus, if you want or need any Nolan Ryan cards or Cal Ripken Jr. cards, i have tons of them.

i will probably be on here after Manchester United plays and i do the grocery shopping tomorrow.

i need to get the trash picked up here and next door, so that's all for me kids.

the hours just start to bleed together...

i think the air conditioner might have ran all day yesterday. we're not supposed to be as warm today. but, that only means there are thunderstorms coming. joy.

i have been watching a lot of The Basketball Tournament on ESPN the last couple days. the Red Scare team is made up of some former Dayton basketball players. they will play Carmen's Crew later today. that team is made up of former Ohio State basketball players. so, it's going to be a 2014 rematch from the NCAA tournament. should be a good one.

the New York Yankees defeated Colorado yesterday, 11-5. they will go for the sweep this afternoon.

NJPW was excellent last night. i love the G1 tournament.

ROH was really good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, the finale of Big Little Lies, Euphoria and City on a Hill.

i do plan on watching most of the Baseball Hall of Fame ceremonies today, mostly because of Mike Mussina and Mariano Rivera are going in.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow. i'd actually like to get more than 3 hours of sleep at a time at some point in my life.

some mornings you wake up and hear jazz...

i was up at 6:30 this morning. on a fucking Saturday. i suppose this is what i get for going to sleep before 2 AM.

i did type up the epic poem i wrote about the muse yesterday. 3 pages became 2 1/2 when typed. i'm not going to try to get this one published. i joked and told her i might just make it into a book. the joke is, that's definitely a possibility.

i woke up this morning with the sound of Coltrane in my head. i'm not sure why. when i fell asleep last night i was listening to Smashing Pumpkins.

the New York Yankees left runners on base in every damn inning last night. they lost to the Mets 7-5. that puts the Yankees 5 1/2 games behind Boston in the division. it would be nice if the Yankees would start to consistently beat the teams they are supposed to in the second half of the season. today would be a good time to start that.

Major League Wrestling was very good last night.

VICE was excellent last night. i doubt many people think of the parts of Syria that are no longer being bombed.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be ROH.

we had 1.5 inches of rain yesterday. my bones are telling me we might get more today. joy.

this might be a Saturday where i throw on some old kung fu movies and just stay in bed.

if i get a wild hair up my ass, i might do a SoundCloud recording for my new chapbook. i have the poem in mind.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday. take it easy and then take it again.

holding off the inevitable, for now...

i wasn't looking forward to going to the doctor's office today. my blood pressure was elevated two weeks ago when i was there. if it was still elevated today, they were going to decide what drugs they were going to put me on. given my family history of high blood pressure, i figured i knew what was coming. amazingly, my blood pressure was down. at least enough that i might be able to avoid the inevitable for now. i don't see the doctor again until October. so, perhaps the rest of my summer will not be as heavy on my mind.

i went to the bank before the doctor's office. mom paid me back for what i have paid for the last couple of weeks. the damn line was almost out the door. that was a little strange. of course, there was only two people working at the time. you'd be amazed at how comfortable i am being the only white person in a place. definitely reminds me of my youth. that's probably why i still bank on the "black" side of the county.

i was flipping last night between NBA summer league and the home run derby. that was mostly through the commercials on Monday Night Raw. i had high hopes for Raw last night after the first segment. but when Roman Reigns won the first triple threat match of the night, my mood quickly soured. the show didn't get much better from there.

Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind made me laugh my ass off last night and definitely made me cry. Robin was a huge influence on how my brain works through comedy. i can remember being a kid and watching his HBO specials. i think i still have some on VHS tapes in the garage. and sadly, his suicide did not shock me. when they explained everything he had at the end of his life, i certainly understood why he did it. it doesn't change the pain though. but i don't think i'm selfish enough to want someone to keep on living while suffering. i did see how some people thought the documentary didn't go deep enough. i kind of disagree. when you see the end and how many people couldn't talk about his death. instead, they just cried... that should be plenty deep enough to know what the man was to everyone. if you love comedy or if you loved his acting, i highly recommend checking this out.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Smackdown, The Jim Jefferies Show, Deadliest Catch and Fuck That's Delicious. i'll watch 205 Live sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i might watch some of the MLB All-Star game tonight. might.

one thing i'd really love to do tonight is get some sleep. trying to catch someone living 6 hours ahead of you is certainly driving me fucking crazy. staying up to 3 in the morning hoping to talk to the woman you are madly in love with and not getting to is beyond frustrating at this point. and then there's the news she told me about the end of this month that i don't want to focus on but it's like a fucking nuclear weapon in the back of my mind. ain't love great?

i have no clue when i'll be on here tomorrow. i know that's all for today as i have trash to go pickup here and next door.

there's always a threat...

i have had a damn headache since about midnight last night. when it finally fucking rained this afternoon, the headache went away a little. i suppose i should try to get more than 4 hours of sleep as well. i figure i'll catch up on all that sleep when i'm dead. i won't be doing anything else, that's for sure.

France won the World Cup yesterday 4-2. Croatia put up a good fight, but the talent on France was just too good. i was very happy for Paul Pogba. he scored the winning goal for France and that will hopefully shut up all his fucking haters. plus, hopefully it means good things to come for him on Manchester United this upcoming season.

the New York Yankees lost to Cleveland yesterday 5-2. that means they enter the All-Star break 4 1/2 games behind Boston in the division.

WWE Extreme Rules was pretty good last night. it could have been great but the crowd in Pittsburgh fucking sucked. they wanted to be part of the show way too much. i thought it really took away from the main event last night.

Total Bellas was good last night. i believe the season finale is next week.

Sharp Objects was great last night.

Succession was really good last night.

The Affair was excellent last night.

Who is America? was fucking hilarious last night.

Our Cartoon President was really funny last night.

Big Brother was pretty good last night.

Power was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight and Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i might check out some of the home run derby tonight. might.

i wanted to go to the post office today, but i certainly didn't want to be outside with this headache. i might go tomorrow before i go to get my blood pressure checked. or i might just go later in the week.

i probably will be on here tomorrow after i get my blood pressure checked at the doctor's office. i figure my luck, this will be another gift from my mother. but, i'd rather go on medication for it while i have insurance.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

you would think the world was coming to an end

the grocery store was fucking crazy today. between the scroll of things mom wanted me to get and having to park about 1/4 mile away from the door, the heat and humidity just made everything worse. i was hoping the rain we got this morning was going to cool shit off. apparently, any rain we get anymore is just a stimulant to heat up the damn place even more. i did my best to keep everything under $100 today, but i told mom it was going to be close to impossible to do so. i came in at $111 when it was all said and done. that's not too bad. of course, i was in the store for almost 90 minutes getting everything. while i don't mind people watching, i don't like it that much.

i got some great FREE music this morning on NoiseTrade. below is the link:
Elliot Root - Suddenly Everything EP

the New York Yankees won last night up in Seattle 4-1. hopefully they will make it two in a row later tonight.

Manchester United defeated Manchester City 2-0 last night. hopefully that's a sign of things to come in the Premier League season.

i pretty much drank myself to sleep last night. a little Jagermeister and then my good friend Tanqueray showed up and all hell broke loose. i forgot how much the alcoholic side of my brain enjoys gin.

Vice News Tonight had another great week of shows.

the 30 for 30 last night was excellent. i highly recommend everyone checking out George Best: All By Himself.

i did listen to the latest Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast late yesterday. you can find that by going here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sam-roberts-wrestling-podcast/id934576040?mt=2

Big Brother went how i expected it to go last night. Dominique was voted out 10-0. i'm really interested to see which of the first four evicted house guests come back into the game tonight. i'm sure the producers are hoping for Cody.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Big Brother, NJPW and Vice Special Report: A World in Disarray.

of course, if it keeps raining like this, there might be nothing on the DVR and i will just be listening to music and writing.

i think i might have a pinched nerve in my right shoulder now. fits right in with the one in my neck. it's always fun to be typing and feel your fingers start to go numb.

giving in

so, after once again being frustrated with my beard (mostly because i don't like hair with my food and i grow a beard like a sasquatch), the full beard is now just a funky ass goatee. this should help with the dog days of summer. though, i now need to decide what the fuck to do with my hair.

a big thank you to my latest muse on Google+. i wrote 4 poems today with her in mind. she hasn't given me any indication that in a few days she's going to ask me to send money to family in Africa, so that's a good thing. plus, she told me she's been in jail, another good thing. i always have liked women where there is a slight possibility i might get my ass kicked. as usual, i don't have my hopes up, but fuck, one of these times it has to lead to something. right?

two of the poems by the way are really fucking good. they will probably get sent out before the end of the month.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. the brawl between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar was probably one of the best ones i have seen in about 20 years. when Brock yelled "I'm going to kill you" and the Undertaker replied "You're going to have to" i laughed my ass off. that sold me on the match right there. being an old wrestling fan, i'm all about the small details. i did like that there were two women's matches with Charlotte and Sasha Banks coming out as winners. now if they only would do that for the men coming up from NXT. the rumor i saw today about Kevin Owens being shuffled back down the roster because his merchandise was selling better than Cena's merchandise is so far fetched that it is absolutely true. i would never wish ill will on someone, but man i would love to see Cena stop wrestling SOON. the same damn act for over a decade. and honestly, i blame all the fucking parents for allowing their kids to root for him and buy his shit. my father was a complete asshole but the one thing i will be forever grateful for is he taught me to root for the heel. that the bad guy is way better to root for. and if you see my top 10 list, it's riddled with heels.

here's some music for you to enjoy:

there was plenty of funny shit on last night. strap in boys and girls:

tonight is going to be a busy one. the Yankees start up a series with Baltimore. Manchester United plays the San Jose Earthquakes late tonight. between those games will be WWE Tough Enough, Total Divas, Tyrant and Deadliest Catch. the DVR will be busy tonight.

i think i may be a happy camper when Big Brother rolls around on Wednesday and Thursday. my least favorite house guest seems to be on the way out. thank fucking god.

here's some more funny shit:

that is all for me today. hope this finds everyone with a cool drink or some sexual device in their hands.

hello sadness, it's been awhile...

my sister called me yesterday with the news that Robin Williams was dead. this really came out of nowhere for me. as i dug deeper online and saw that he was dead and had committed suicide, i really got bummed out. he was one of the bigger comedic influences in my life. i can remember him from the Mork and Mindy days and how he could always make me laugh. and with it being suicide, it really hits closer to home. i have battled that temptation for many years now. and the harder i try to keep the dark side of me down, the more i figure i will give in at some point. hopefully, that is many years from now. i will deeply miss Robin Williams. not only for his comedy, but for the movie that sent me in the crazy direction i am in now, Dead Poets Society. O Captain My Captain, may you find the peace you deserve. you will be missed.

i believe the dream woman and i just had our first argument. over money of course. funny how that always creeps into these situations.

the Yankees had a lead last night, 3-1. next thing you know, they gave up 10 straight runs to lose 11-3. ouch. thank god they are rained out tonight. i need a break from them. hopefully they will do better on Wednesday.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. they held the Hulk Hogan stuff for the very end, which i figured they were going to do to try to help the ratings. overall, the three hours went by pretty fast.

i followed the Manchester United game today online as i was watching Real Madrid win the UEFA Super Cup. hard to imagine that Fellaini scored the winner for United at the death. 2-1 win over Valencia. i'll enjoy that victory beer after i sweep the floors.

i got up this morning and did the dishes. i figured i was already in pain, might as well pile on. good times.

i guess i'll be watching Tyrant tonight and that might be it. it should be another really good episode.

the weather here has taken another turn to the cool side. supposed to be in the 60's for the next few days. one of the oddest summers i can ever remember.

that's pretty much all for me today. oh wait...

i used a different lotion to masturbate today and holy shit, what a feeling. now go and enjoy that visual...
