a restless evening...

the Dayton Flyers lost last night at Loyola Chicago, 77-72. considering that Dayton lost their starting point guard and had a ton of turnovers, the score was closer than what it should be. at least i got the over correct.

Smackdown and NXT Level Up were both pretty good last night.

AEW Rampage was good last night.

Real Time with Bill Maher was pretty funny last night.

here are the highlights from the NBA last night:

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW Collision and Saturday Night Live.

the New York Rangers play tonight at Toronto.

i'm sure i will watch plenty of soccer and college basketball today.

i will most likely be on here tomorrow after the Manchester derby.

i hope everyone has a great Saturday.

so far, i have been awake for almost 4 hours and i have shit 3 times. good times.

the old Friday news dump...

so, i remember first hearing this when i was a child and really into current events and whatnot. always around 5 PM on a Friday, you would get some shocking or holy shit news, but it would come too late for the nightly news to really talk about it and then it was the weekend and by Monday, no one gives a shit. so, the bad news would always get planted on this day. this all makes me laugh considering the news that hit today, Vince McMahon retiring from WWE. i never thought i would see this day in my lifetime. it really makes me wonder what other news is going to come out about his past. or, was this retirement forced by the board of directors. or, better yet, is this Vince trying to cut off the allegations because now everything is in a past tense. all in all, i'm hoping that the actual product gets better. if it doesn't, then i really could see the company being sold and pro wrestling entering a whole new world in a few years. should make for an interesting Smackdown tonight.

so, the Yankees got swept yesterday in Houston. they lost game 1, 3-2. they lost game 2, 7-5. as much as i don't want to put any stock into this, it would be nice if we could beat Houston more than just twice a fucking year. the Yankees start a series tonight in Baltimore. hopefully, they will win.

the season finale of The Old Man was excellent last night. i can't fucking wait for season 2.

NXT UK was very good last night.

Vice News Tonight had two great shows this week.

episode 2 of The Captain was very good last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Smackdown and AEW Rampage. i'll watch NXT Level Up sometime tonight on Peacock.

i did go to Rite Aid today to get my prescription. i had to get some things for mom there as well.

the drive to mom's bank yesterday was pretty uneventful. i had to get money out of the ATM for her. after that, i went to the Rite Aid across the street from the bank. i got some baseball cards while i was there. 2 boxes for $11. i think i almost made what i spent on them from the cards in the boxes. a good number of hall of fame cards, but nothing crazy.

i think i will be on here in the morning tomorrow. i did get a good amount of sleep today. the ice on my back seems to be working. hopefully, i'll be able to sleep in my bed soon.

i hope everyone has an amazing weekend.

at least the sun is out...

it is another cold one today. at least the sun is out. of course, there is a chance we get a little snow from that major snow storm coming. personally, i hope it misses us completely.

might as well start off with the bad news first. Manchester United pissed away a 2 goal lead yesterday at Aston Villa. honestly, the 2-2 draw feels like a fucking loss.

at the same time that shit show was going on, the Dayton Flyers were playing at Duquesne. Dayton played a complete game finally and won, 72-52.

i did watch a good portion of both NFL playoff games yesterday. the Bengals ended the Bo Jackson curse and defeated the Raiders, 26-19. Buffalo beat the shit out of the Patriots last night, 47-17.

today the Eagles play at Tampa Bay, the 49ers play at Dallas and the Steelers play at the Chiefs tonight.

the New York Rangers won last night at Philadelphia, 3-2. that was a good way to end the road trip.

Saturday Night Live was very funny last night.

Austin City Limits was great last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be the season finale of Yellowjackets, Power Book II: Ghost, Euphoria, The Righteous Gemstones and Somebody Somewhere.

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. hopefully, your Sunday will be even better.

i will probably be on here tomorrow after i get back from mom's physical therapy.

3 is a magic number...

so, i had a pain last night in my back that was like an axe being thrown between my shoulder blades and being left there for hours. thankfully, i took a shower last night while buzzed on some alcohol and that seemed to do the trick.

mom's chest pains were basically stress. that and the fact that Dayton almost blew a 20 point lead last night in the last 6 minutes of the game against Southern.

Dayton defeated Southern last night, 69-60. Dayton had 21 turnovers in the game and that almost cost them the game. they definitely need to clean that up if they want to be good in the A10 this season.

NXT was pretty good last night.

i did catch a little of the NFL games last night.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be AEW, Hard Knocks and The Masked Singer Christmas special.

my sister will be here sometime tonight.

i need to get going to the grocery store. mom has a bit of a scroll for me to find. joy.

best of luck to all the last minute shoppers out there.

i have no clue when i will be on here tomorrow.

shot 1 is done...

so, Rite Aid called last night and asked if mom and i had any problem with getting our vaccine shots at 1 this afternoon instead of this evening. we said that was fine and i got us there at 12:55 this afternoon. we both got the Moderna vaccine shot. i felt no pain and had zero side effects from it. we both get the second shot in late April. mom wanted to do some shopping in the store after we got the shots. i think we got everything she was looking for.

The Voice was pretty good last night. i didn't lose anyone from my team.

Monday Night Raw was good, for the most part last night. there were plenty of parts i should have slept through.

i did watch a little of the college basketball games last night. i'll do the same tonight probably.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Young Rock, Kenan, Dark Side of the Ring: Confidential and Mayans M.C.

the New York Rangers play tonight at home against Washington. hopefully, they get a win tonight.

if you don't like the weather, just wait about 10 minutes...

the nice weather we had yesterday gave way to thunder and lightning and a howling wind last night. just what my bad back needed. fuck.

Tina was very good last night. of course, i got to see most of it while i was folding clothes and then helping mom make dinner.

Austin City Limits was the St. Vincent episode from a couple years ago that i deleted.

ROH was really good last night.

Saturday Night Live was pretty funny last night.

i ended up watching a college hockey game last night that went into the 5th overtime.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be VICE, Shameless, City on a Hill, Batwoman and The Luminaries.

the New York Rangers play today at Washington. i'd love to see the Rangers make up for that loss yesterday against the Flyers. they made a trade after the game yesterday, sending Brenden Lemieux to the Kings for a 4th round pick.

the Yankees play the Phillies today.

the USMNT takes on Northern Ireland today.

the USMNT Under 23's take on Honduras tonight. if the USA wins, they will qualify for the Olympics for the first time in a long time.

i'm sure i will squeeze in some college basketball today as well. here are some highlights from yesterday:

i hope everyone had a great Saturday. i hope your Sunday will be even better.

why bother teaching what really happened...

as you might imagine, i was one of those kids that questioned everything every textbook was saying. sadly, in most instances, i was correct. i was being taught what 'the powers that be' wanted me to know, not what actually happened in history. Columbus Day is a perfect example of that. i highly suggest everyone read this article: https://www.thenation.com/article/the-invention-of-christopher-columbus-american-hero/

the New York Rangers defeated Montreal last night 2-0. i only saw highlights from the game. it looked like The King had a nice bounce back game from the debacle up in Toronto. they play again tomorrow at home against St. Louis.

the New York Yankees won last night, 1-0. i didn't watch any of that game either. not sure how my ego takes both of my teams winning while i'm not watching, but oh well. the Yankees will look to even the series tonight. just imagine if they would have won Game 2 like they should have. and since i am a superstitious motherfucker, i won't be watching tonight either.

The Deuce was excellent last night.

Vice Principals was very good last night.

Curb Your Enthusiasm was great last night.

Last Week Tonight was fucking hilarious.

Ray Donovan was very good last night.

the series finale of Episodes was pretty good last night.

WWE Hell in a Cell last night was really good. the two matches in the cell were crazy good. only a couple of the matches weren't excellent. my favorite part of the show was the ending. i never in a million years thought they would have Sami Zayn come out and help Kevin Owens. i am so damn happy that Sami will now get a push in the main event scene finally. and if Kevin and Sami can recreate some of the magic they had earlier in their careers, they will set the damn world on fire once again.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be The Voice and The Big Bang Theory. i'll be watching Monday Night Raw for most of the evening.

i wrote 3 poems today. after typing them up, i really, really like them. they will definitely be included in my next round of submissions.

the Red Sox just got eliminated by Houston. at least i know they didn't go further than the Yankees this season.

i'll be on here probably in the afternoon tomorrow.

i hope everyone had a great weekend.

even a hot shower didn't help

i knew i had to get up early this morning as mom had a doctor's appointment. so, i was hoping the hot shower i took at 1 in the morning was going to loosen me up and help me sleep. so much for hope. i might have got a couple hours at best. and when i did get up this morning, both of my shoulders and my neck felt like i tried to sleep in a position as close to me sticking my head up my own ass as possible. enjoy that visual.

the doctor's appointment was almost 5 minutes long. he wanted to see how the incision was coming along and to know if mom was in any pain. he really thinks the spot above mom's incision is getting better. so much so, that she doesn't have to go back until August. hopefully by then, the spot will be gone.

the New York Yankees didn't do much of anything yesterday in a 4-1 loss. Aaron Judge hit a home run and that was about it. hopefully they will win this afternoon and actually win a series for the first time in a month.

Smackdown was really good last night. the rap battle between The New Day and The Usos was way better than what i thought it was going to be.

205 Live was really good last night as well.

Deadliest Catch was excellent last night. i could just imagine the number of people watching the show that had no clue about Dutch Harbor being bombed in WWII. or the fact that the Japanese occupied a couple of the islands in Alaska during that time.

i did see some fireworks last night. they really don't do much for me unless i'm high.

enjoy some music:

and now some of this and that:

on the DVR tonight will be Vice News Tonight, Big Brother, Lucha Underground and Snowfall. i'll watch NXT sometime tonight on WWE Network.

i did listen to the latest Jim Norton & Sam Roberts podcast. you can find that by going here:
https://soundcloud.com/jimandsamshow/ep-033-bert-kreischer-and-mark-normand

i did watch the hot dog eating contest yesterday. amazingly, i had some hot dogs for dinner last night.

i absolutely loved the two signings the Sacramento Kings made yesterday. adding veterans George Hill and Zach Randolph to this group of kids should be great.

i will probably end up going to Menards today. i'm tempted to go while the Yankees are playing, seeing that they usually play better when i don't watch. i know i need to get some suet and some other bird food. plus, i think they have some solar lights on sale.

i'll be on here tomorrow before my mother's physical therapy session.

at least the sun is out

that's pretty much all i can say when i look outside and it is 4 degrees out. at least the sun is out. the windchill was close to -20 or so, but at least the sun is out. much to my amazement today, i didn't find any dead cats. of course, i only saw 14 of the 20. but, i think we'll be moved out of here before i'll be able to find them from the stench of death alone. of course, we still have a few cold as fuck nights ahead as well.

last night was pretty good. the New York Rangers exploded in the 3rd period to beat Arizona 5-1. the boys are clicking on offense right now and Cam Talbot is certainly finding a good rhythm in net. this will be all be tested though when they play at the fucking Islanders tomorrow night. that's a game they really need to win just to prove to themselves they can beat that team. here are the highlights from last night:

i enjoyed most of the NBA All-Star festivities last night. i was certainly interested in the 3 point contest as that was my forte when i played basketball. they guy i thought would win did:
as for the dunk contest, i really didn't have a clue who would win. but, rather quickly, i figured it out. as most people have pointed out, this was exactly what the dunk contest needed:

i think i fell asleep before the first commercial break last night during ROH. thankfully, i got to see the episode today at noon. it was fucking amazing. the main event was awesome. the singles matches were great. and i loved how the matches were booked as all 3 of them told a story. that's something that the WWE could really learn from.

i know i have no prayer of watching everything i want to watch tonight on television. most of my evening will be the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live. with all the amazing people scheduled to appear, i can't wait to see that. it should be fucking awesome. the problem is it will be on when every other fucking thing i want to watch tonight will be on. so, i will do my best to stay awake LATE to catch the shows on HBO and Showtime, but i'm pretty damn sure i'm going to be trying to catch up on Monday. i figure i will switch over to the NBA All-Star game during the commercial breaks tonight.

that's all for me today. i may try to get in a long nap before tonight or more likely, i'll try to get some reading and writing done. i certainly am a glutton for punishment.

i hope everyone is having a great weekend. hopefully you're not currently in a fucking blizzard or ice storm like most of this country is at the moment. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

just my luck

so i got to bed at my usual 2 AM or so last night. so, imagine my surprise when i'm wide awake and rushing to the toilet at 6:30 AM. 22 damn degrees outside and i'm rushing down the stairs hoping i won't have to clean shit off of the floor. i made it, but now, 4 some hours later, i've spent most of the morning on the toilet. i'm really hoping the pills i took start kicking in soon as i don't have any intention of missing the basketball game tonight. so, right now it's water and dry toast. good times.

the New York Rangers lost last night 4-3 in a shootout to a team that have no business losing to. i could tell early in the first period they were having the classic letdown game. they had a strong second period but pissed that away in the third. at least they got a point out of the game. they play tomorrow night in Pittsburgh. that should be a wild one.

The Big Bang Theory was really good last night.

i picked the NFL game right last night and my opponent's fantasy player didn't do much. that's hopefully a good sign for the games on Sunday.

i've got to go to the bank early this afternoon to make a deposit. i'm planning on doing that while i'm out getting the paper and mail. hopefully this sunshine we have right now continues. and hopefully the pills work so i don't have a whole new set of poems to have to write later tonight.

i'm hoping to get home from doing all that in time to watch the USA take on Colombia in a friendly over in London. that should be a great test for them. if they can actually win, i'll be pleasantly thrilled with the thought of them actually competing one day on the elite level of world soccer powers. as you might imagine, i don't think they have much of a chance.

i guess mom is planning to try to go to the basketball game tonight with me. that should be an interesting trip. the Dayton Flyers take on Alabama A&M tonight. hopefully they kick off this season with a win. i have no clue if this team will be as good as last year, but i do think they can make the NCAA Tournament once again. if they make it back to the Elite 8, i'll start to wonder if i'm actually dead and this is all a dream.

after we get home from that, i'm hoping to watch Sonic Highways on HBO. i believe the setting is in L.A. for this one.

i got some great music on NoiseTrade this morning. i was a little surprised to see that the band is from Toledo, Ohio. the link will be below for some great FREE music.

i'll probably be on here in the morning tomorrow. Ohio State plays at noon and i think my mother wants to try to drive again tomorrow. so, yeah, i'm going to be a wreck tomorrow. can't tell if the shits are from impending stress tomorrow or the stir fry from last night. but, i've gone enough that i'm starting to bleed. enjoy that visual as you start your weekend.

thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your precious time.

i suppose i'll sleep when i'm dead

i got back home last night after the hockey game and a nightcap at Waffle House before midnight. i then mapped out a way to see all the Sunday night shows i usually watch. like a dumb ass, i watched all of them and got to bed a little before 6 this morning. and sure enough, a few minutes before 9, i was up and going. i have tried to take a nap this afternoon. needless to say i'm going to crash big time at some point this evening. of course, maybe i won't.

the Yankees won yesterday 5-2. i didn't watch any of the game, only some highlights. i was happy to see Tanaka pitch without any further injury concerns. maybe he'll escape surgery for the elbow. i also saw the club hit the 15,000th HR in franchise history. no other major league team has reached that number. i guess that's what they are going to be proud about this season. they play again tonight. i have no clue how i will squeeze them in this evening.

the New Orleans Saints won yesterday 20-9. i watched most of the first three quarters of the game. it wasn't pretty but i'll gladly take the win.

thankfully, the trip up to and back from Columbus yesterday was pain free. the highway has been under construction for god knows how long. amazingly, no delays. as for the game, it was pretty good. Columbus beat St. Louis 4-3 in OT. St. Louis really carried the play for most of the game. i do love that our tickets for our 1/4 season package are on the club level. not too high but high enough that you can really see the ice well. i guess our tickets for the Rangers games are behind their bench on the club level. that should be a fun time in early October. not sure how much mom is going to enjoy all the walking we had to do. her hip was really bothering her last night. i drove us back. i'm not a big fan of night driving, but... i figure sometime before i die her SUV will be mine, so i should get used to driving it.

i had a blueberry waffle last night at Waffle House. it is my go to meal from now on there.

as for the shows last night, i really enjoyed all of them. Total Divas was pretty funny given all the manufactured drama. The Strain was fucking creepy last night. i can't wait to see how this season is going to end up. Last Week Tonight was hilarious. Boardwalk Empire was excellent as always. Ray Donovan was a really nice build up to the season finale next week. Masters of Sex was really good. it will be interesting to see where it goes as well.

tonight is a cluster fuck of television. all at one time, the Yankees, Monday Night football, The Voice, The Big Bang Theory, Monday Night Raw, and Gotham will all be on. how the fuck am i going to watch all of them? hopefully, YouTube will come in handy tomorrow for what i miss. i really hope Gotham is on there as i really want to see that show. most likely tonight, i'll be flipping between The Voice, Raw, and The Big Bang Theory. i think the only thing i want for Christmas this year is a fucking DVR.

fantasy football finally went my way yesterday. i'm comfortably leading in both of my matches. of course, my picks weren't as good as i hoped. but, i'm still alive in the suicide pool.

mom is out of town until Wednesday, so i'm going to try to do my best to not burn the place to the ground. all it really means is i have to go into town each day to get the mail and i can listen to porn at a higher level. enjoy that visual.

that's all for me today. hope everyone had a great weekend. thanks again for allowing me to waste a few minutes of your time.

be well. be creative. be cool. be quick to send me CASH, panties, hate mail, love letters, broken promises and dirty pennies from heaven.

hello sadness, it's been awhile...

my sister called me yesterday with the news that Robin Williams was dead. this really came out of nowhere for me. as i dug deeper online and saw that he was dead and had committed suicide, i really got bummed out. he was one of the bigger comedic influences in my life. i can remember him from the Mork and Mindy days and how he could always make me laugh. and with it being suicide, it really hits closer to home. i have battled that temptation for many years now. and the harder i try to keep the dark side of me down, the more i figure i will give in at some point. hopefully, that is many years from now. i will deeply miss Robin Williams. not only for his comedy, but for the movie that sent me in the crazy direction i am in now, Dead Poets Society. O Captain My Captain, may you find the peace you deserve. you will be missed.

i believe the dream woman and i just had our first argument. over money of course. funny how that always creeps into these situations.

the Yankees had a lead last night, 3-1. next thing you know, they gave up 10 straight runs to lose 11-3. ouch. thank god they are rained out tonight. i need a break from them. hopefully they will do better on Wednesday.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. they held the Hulk Hogan stuff for the very end, which i figured they were going to do to try to help the ratings. overall, the three hours went by pretty fast.

i followed the Manchester United game today online as i was watching Real Madrid win the UEFA Super Cup. hard to imagine that Fellaini scored the winner for United at the death. 2-1 win over Valencia. i'll enjoy that victory beer after i sweep the floors.

i got up this morning and did the dishes. i figured i was already in pain, might as well pile on. good times.

i guess i'll be watching Tyrant tonight and that might be it. it should be another really good episode.

the weather here has taken another turn to the cool side. supposed to be in the 60's for the next few days. one of the oddest summers i can ever remember.

that's pretty much all for me today. oh wait...

i used a different lotion to masturbate today and holy shit, what a feeling. now go and enjoy that visual...

yesterday was one of those days you can only believe by living through them. thank god i'm a writer. so much shit to write about. to make it quick...

mom wanted to get out of the house so i had her drive me to the record store to sell some of my music. while in the store i come across a guy with an eye patch, a black kid trying to sell a broken video game system for drug money, and a staff of hipsters that were all thinking of other shit. i didn't make as much as i wanted, but i was happy to get rid of shit i don't listen to anymore. then, mom wanted to get something to eat, an early dinner of sorts. considering it was around 4:30 in the afternoon i now know what i have to look forward to if i dare live past 50. while in the place, it starts to rain. and rain. and rain some more. after waiting for nearly 30 minutes, we both decided fuck it, we're not going to melt. racing to the car was great until i realized the parking lot was starting to flood. thank god i had some decent shoes on. after we made it out of there we headed back home. after a long night of television and some more alcohol, i get an instant message from the muse. needless to say, 20 minutes later i'm on the phone until 4 in the morning with a woman slowly dying (figuratively) in some wicked heat. i haven't written those poems yet, but that will happen.

during my television time last night, i did write two more poems. both about the events of the afternoon. i typed up those 2 and my one from yesterday this morning. i LOVE these three poems. i can't wait to send these out.

Monday Night Raw was pretty good last night. letting the younger generation shine is paying off for them. plus, it's never a bad show in Montreal. the best sign for me is that it didn't feel like it was 3 hours long.

the Yankees won last night 5-3. had a rookie make his first major league start. he went 6 innings, only giving up 2 runs. hopefully, he stays up. their rookie phenom in the bullpen got his first ever save. all in all, a good evening. they play again tonight in Cleveland.

also tonight is Deadliest Catch and Tyrant. i'm looking forward to both of those.

the World Cup starts back up today. Germany vs. Brazil. not much more needs to be said. i'm going to be very interested to see how Brazil plays without Neymar. i wouldn't be shocked if this one goes into extra time. i have Brazil advancing. of course, i made that pick long before the injuries started to happen. i honestly don't know who is going to win this match. i just hope to be entertained by it.

i'm hoping the rain is over for the day. we had some wicked storms move through this morning. thankfully, i slept through most of them.

i guess i should get out there and see if we had any damage or see how many cats ran away. it's always fun when they run up into the front woods and then can't figure out how to make it back up to the barns. 3 weeks later they eventually show up, malnourished beyond belief. i have to keep reminding myself they aren't the sharpest tool in the box.

hope this finds everyone well. hope you enjoy the game today. and if you aren't enjoying the beauty of the World Cup, i don't think i really want to know you. unless you have money and love my writing. if that is the case, you are forgiven.

peace and chicken grease my enemies...

revenge is sweet

roughly about 45 minutes after i posted on this blog yesterday, i went outside to feed the cats. and while doing so, i threw my back out. nothing quite like being frozen in pain while the cats are looking at you like, put the food in the bowl fat ass. i eventually made it back inside, slowly. and since it was mom's birthday, i went into town to get the mail. thank god for adrenaline. i iced it down some yesterday and was hoping that a good night of sleep was going to help. lets just say i'll be doing some more ice today.

when the USA scored 34 seconds into the match yesterday against Ghana, i was thrilled, shocked, and pissed at the same time. pissed because i know how this team operates. they were going to try to defend for the next 90 minutes. sadly, that's pretty much what they did. when Ghana tied the score, i figured getting a point out of this game would be good enough. when the USA scores in the 86th minute and the adrenaline starts flowing through my veins again, it was at the top of my lungs screaming, DEFEND FOR YOUR LIVES BOYS. and they did. to FINALLY beat Ghana is some sweet revenge. considering they have to play Germany next and most likely will be eliminated after that game, is even sweeter. the USA next plays an injured and suspended Portugal team. the USA has injuries as well. and that game is in the middle of the jungle. a draw would most likely get the USA into a great spot for getting out of the group. a win, especially if Germany wins the day before, gets the USA out of the group of death. i will be hoping for a win on Sunday.

also yesterday, Germany destroyed Portugal 4-0. helps that Pepe lost his mind once again. Portugal was losing 2-0 at the time. hopefully Portugal feels sorry for themselves come Sunday. in the first goalless draw of the tournament, Nigeria and Iran did their best to put me to sleep. if my back wouldn't have been killing me, i might have actually got to sleep.

today's action is Belgium vs. Algeria. (Belgium is my sleeper team for the World Cup). Russia plays South Korea. and in the game of the day, Mexico plays Brazil. given that many of these players faced off in the Olympics when Mexico beat Brazil for the gold medal, i would think Brazil will be looking for a little revenge today. might watch that game in Spanish.

Monday Night Raw was excellent last night. helped that the adrenaline from the USA win was still pumping inside me while i was watching. love that they are giving some of the younger talent more of a push now.

Louie had an excellent season finale last night. could have gone without seeing some male ass in the episode, but oh well. another excellent season.

tonight is a Tanaka Tuesday at Yankee Stadium. they start a series with Toronto, who is 4 1/2 games ahead of them in the division. a pretty big series for June. i'll be watching that until Deadliest Catch comes on. quite honestly, all my viewing tonight depends on how my back feels.

hope this finds everyone well. and in better health than me.

until we meet again my friends...

mother nature has it in for me

it started raining like cats and dogs this morning right as i sat down to take the morning shit. and given how my back hates the rain and tends to lock up when it does rain... imagine my joy as i start to wipe. good times.

i'm writing this before the next line of storms hit here. i'm pretty sure we're over an inch of rain. my fear is that we have another inch or so to go. a few spots in the fields tend to flood pretty easily. and i don't think the soybeans or the corn will last through it. i suppose time will tell.

the Yankees pissed away a rare night of good starting pitching by someone not named Tanaka. the offense can't score more than 2 runs. and the over-worked bullpen finally imploded last night. a 5-2 loss in extra innings. not good. thankfully, i will have a great reason not to watch at all this evening.

the New York Rangers play Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight in Los Angeles. i love that they are the underdog and no one is saying they will win. hopefully, they can steal Game 1 and put all the pressure on the Kings. my entire soul will be fixated on this game tonight.

my mother had a conference she needed to attend in Kentucky today. right across the river. she made it down there before it started to rain. hopefully, her drive home won't be a stormy one.

Deadliest Catch was pretty damn good last night.

late last night i sat down and figured out where i'll be sending 21 poems tomorrow. i'll be a typing monkey tomorrow.

a hello to the fucking teen driver who nearly hit me today in her vehicle that probably cost more than my total life earnings. quick piece of advice. try driving WITHOUT TALKING ON THE FUCKING PHONE. as much as i would like a new vehicle, that accident would have been me taking a direct hit. and i don't trust god to just let me die. i'm pretty sure i will have to suffer and survive the crash.

that's all for today. i'm going to go try to stretch out my back and then get ready for the game tonight. hope everyone had a great day. hopefully it isn't a dreary, rainy mess where you live.

peace and chicken grease...
